3rd POV,
Anakin Skywalker

No one would ever understand Anakin's motives for aligning himself with the Dark Side. His loving wife, (Y/N) (L/N) was pregnant... and he was having dreams.
The Council had found out about Skywalker and (L/N)s relationship, and they'd separated the pair until they decided what to do about their rebellious Jedi Knight. This was when Anakin began having the dreams...

Terrible, terrible dreams. Nightmares that showed off endless scenarios; each ending with his bride dying. It was unlike any forewarning dream he'd had before. With his mom, it was consistent— she always died in his arms regardless of the scenario. Anakin's wife however... it was blotchy and inconsistent.
He had no one to trust, not even his old Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. If he lost (Y/N), he'd lose everything he'd ever loved.

Clenching his fists, he span around to focus on his lifelong mentor, Chancellor Palpatine, "The Council is unloving and cruel. I am expecting a child, and they're separating me from my wife! They can't do this! The stress from being separated may be the thing I'm dreaming of— the reason she dies!"

Palpatine licked his lips and nodded, "Anakin, I agree. The Council is way out of line here. Even though you're breaking the Jedi Code, you still have a right to make sure (Y/N) is safe, and the baby is okay. What the Jedi are doing is criminal."

Anakin nodded his head up and down; anger radiating from his body like a beacon. He'd never been good at controlling his anger, which was another very strict rule of the Jedi, alongside no relationships. He was quite the failed Jedi,
"What should I do?" he questioned, glancing back towards the older gentleman, "I don't trust the Jedi, but I don't want to leave the order. I don't want to leave my wife either. What would you do?"

"There is a way you can continue using your lightsaber and force abilities without the Council's judgement," the Chancellor commented while walking towards Anakin, "The Dark Side of the force has its benefits to the Jedi. Relationships are encouraged; anger is required. You'd make such a strong Sith Lord, Anakin."

Anakin's eyes snapped open in surprise, and whipped out his blue lightsaber, "You're the Sith Lord we've been looking for!"

Palpatine just continued his speech; not surprised by Skywalker's reaction. The words kept swirling around in Anakin's ears; inward conflict occurring. His moral compass was unsure of where to point: stay with his family in the Jedi Order, or be with his wife and unborn baby. He shouldn't have to choose! He won't choose! And... and anyone who opposes him shall die!
Palpatine could sense the sudden shift in Anakin's feelings, and a little grin appeared on his old, wrinkly face,

"Good," he mumbled, patting the young Jedi's shoulder, "Now go and see your wife. Once you have discussed the plan, meet back here, and I will help you with those pesky Jedi. Nothing will stop you, Anakin."

I can't stop pacing. The baby is very active today, but not even that could shift my mood. Anakin and I had been discovered by the Jedi Council, and were forbidden to see each other until Yoda and the others decided on a plan. I was due anytime now, and my mental and physical health was beginning to drain thanks to Anakin's absence. I know it's foolish to worry about something like that when you're pregnant, but I can't help it. I'm nothing without Anakin.

I nibbled on my fingers while motioning for C3-PO, Anakin's protocol droid, to come over. Although the droid couldn't admit actual emotions, he seemed rather excited and a little worried if that's possible,

"How are you feeling, representative (Y/N)?" the droid questioned while waddling over. I was the representative of Chandrila. I was essentially the back up Senator if something happened to Mon Mothma, force forbid.

"I'm alright, 3-PO," I whispered while patting his metallic shoulder, "Could you have R2 get in contact with... with Obi-Wan Kenobi. I think there's something wrong, and he will know what to do."

3-PO hesitated for a second; the gears in his lifeless head turning, "What about Master Anakin? I'm sure you'd rather have him come here."
C3-PO was aware of Anakin and I's marriage. He'd been there, him and R2 at least.
I shook my head and turned around, walking back to the couch,

"The Jedi Council found out about Anakin and I. Yoda and Windu have forbidden us from seeing each other, and I don't want to get Ani in trouble. Obi-Wan can help, though. They said nothing about him not visiting."

3-PO just nodded the best he could, and waddled off to go find the little astromech, who had started to hang out with Anakin less and less over the months. The two droids had been spending a lot of time with me lately, and that further worried you. Ani loved his little droids more than he'd care to admit.

I couldn't concentrate on anything at this point. I noticed little R2-D2 roll in and chirp a greeting, but I was so spaced out that I didn't even respond. This anxiety was debilitating— everything reminded me of my lost husband. From the soft conversations heard through my thin walls, to the smell of him still drifting through my dusty house. I have to have him... I don't care what it takes.

Minutes turned to hours, and my fears have still yet to melt away. Finally, I was forced from my trance thanks to a knock at the door,

"(Y/N), it's Obi-Wan," the voice commented through the thick door, "R2 said it's urgent. What's wrong?"

I huffed at the little droid who had begun to roll away, and cracked the door open, "He was exaggerating. It's not an emergency. I just need your help, and I can't turn to anyone else in the Jedi Order."

I'm no Jedi, but I could sense Kenobi's attitude shifting, "This is about Anakin, isn't it?"

"Yes. I'm worried he's going to do something he's gonna regret," I began, nibbling my fingernails as Obi-Wan walked into my house, "Before the Council separated us, he complained about having dreams about my death. You remember what happened to his mother... he will go to any extreme to make sure I don't die."

Obi-Wan scratched his chin and nodded, "I understand your fear, (Y/N), but Anakin is a good Jedi— he knows not to let dreams affect him like this. He will be alright."

Just as I was about to rebuttal his claim, a shock of pain wrecked down my spine and rested into my stomach; a shocked yelp leaving my lips. Kenobi looked at me in confusion,

"I... I think the baby's coming!" I shouted, grabbing Obi-Wan's hand reflexively, "Please help me! I need Anakin here now!"

The Jedi nodded and pulled me into his side, "It's not a very long trip to the nurse droid quarters. Just try to breathe; you're gonna be fine! I'll find Anakin for you, sweetheart, just focus on your breathing."

Anakin's POV
♡︎♡︎♡︎♡︎♡︎♡︎♡︎

It was like Anakin had been sliced in the gut with a knife. Everything was happening so fast... Jedi Masters Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar and Saesee Tiin had tried to assassinate the Chancellor. Palpatine had taken care of Fisto, Kolar and Tiin, but Windu had overpowered the Sith Lord. Anakin didn't even have a say in his actions: he felt compelled to murder Windu and save the Chancellor.
All Anakin's anger and hatred for the elder Jedi had bottled up all those years he trained: never being good enough for the Master Jedi, always being doubted, and not to mention Windu refused to allow Anakin and his wife see each other,

"Good, Anakin," the voice of Palpatine commented, snapping him from his thoughts, "You have finally stepped onto the path of power and greatness."

Words jumbled in Anakin's throat and he felt like puking. He swallowed down the rising bile and bowed, "What do you require of me, my Master?"

"Go to the Jedi Temple and finish the job," the Sith Lord growled; his yellow eyes lighting the whole room up as they scanned the pile of dead Jedi, "They will come after us; we can't let them get the jump on us!"

The young Sith bowed and fingered for his lightsaber. He was dismissed, and immediately did as demanded, hatred searing through his veins. All Anakin wanted to do was see his precious wife and raise their child together. Now, he's going to wipe out the only family he's ever had, and no one can stop him.
Regret and pain surged through his gut. Kit Fisto was the only Jedi in that group who'd treated young Skywalker as an equal, and he actually liked the guy... but his future was decided. They must all die so he can finally have his life with (Y/N).

Unsheathing his lightsaber, he plowed up the Jedi Temple stairs; slicing through the few Jedi guards who were posted. A Rodian and two humanoids fell by his blade; their lightsabers rolling to the side and down the many stairs.

Right as he was about to enter the towering buildings; evil intent evident, a voice echoed behind him, "Anakin, stop!" Obi-Wan Kenobi...

"What the hell do you want, Master?" Anakin growled; his eyes a flickering yellow and blue mess. The force was literally fighting over his allegiance, "You can't stop me. I am destined to bring balance to the galaxy, and this is how I shall do it."

"(Y/N) is in labour. She needs you," Kenobi snapped, his blue lightsaber coming to life in response to Anakin's crimes, "You've turned your back on the Order, you've killed your kin, and you're claiming the Dark Side as an ally... Anakin, what's happened to you?"

Young Skywalker couldn't find a plausible explanation to his actions. He claims it's for his wife and child's benefit, but realistically, would following the Chancellor help him at all?
His head dropped slightly, the lightsaber sheathing, "What have I done, Obi-Wan?" the Sith Lord questioned while dropping to his knees, "I'll be executed for sure. (Y/N) will have to raise our kid by herself... I've killed Jedi... I killed Windu..."

"Let's not discuss this right now, Anakin. Your wife needs you!" his old Master commented while hoisting the younger Jedi up by his arm.

The pain was unexplainable. Pushing a full-sized baby out of your lady bits sounds just about as enjoyable as it actually is, and it's actually worst. The pain was even worse considering Anakin wasn't by my side, telling me to breathe and push like he should be. I was inwardly praying that Obi-Wan would find my husband in time...

"Anakin, help me!" I screeched as more contractions wracked my body, "Anakin!"

I immediately felt a hand clasp over mine, and I jolted in surprise,
"Everything's okay, (Y/N). I'm here," the voice of Anakin Skywalker whispered. I felt his lips press a soft kiss onto my forehead, and all my pain melted away immediately.

I pulled his head down and kissed him lightly on the lips, "My darling, you're here! How did the Council allow this?"

I couldn't see, but Obi-Wan had Anakin's lightsaber on his hilt, like he was in time out or something. My husband smiled sadly and returned the kiss, "Don't worry about that right now, sweetheart. Just focus on bringing my baby girl into the world."

"We've gone over this, Ani," I giggled, cupping his beautiful face into my hand, "It's gonna be a boy. A mother knows."

"The force tells me we're having a girl," he rebutdtaled, a sad look in his eyes. Inwardly, he knows likely his dreams of raising the kid with his wife were just becoming more complicated. The Council will hold him responsible for the murders of Windu, Fisto, Tiin, and Kolar, and he would likely be imprisoned for life. He definitely wouldn't be allowed to carry a lightsaber ever again, but he had a plan.

I let out another scream as the baby fully emerged; the droid scooping the child up and rushing away to clean it. Sweat beaded down my forehead and back, my legs shaking from the unrelenting pain. Yet, I was happy,

"It's a girl," the droid commented while wheeling back over; the baby crying softly in its metallic arms.

Anakin watched as I held the baby to my chest; kissing her face relentlessly, "Her name is Leia," he whispered, rubbing my hair lovingly.

I nodded, kissing the palm of his hand, "Her name is Leia."

Little did I know, in less than 12 hours, I would be aggressively escaping Coruscant, and Anakin would be escaping his crimes against the Jedi Order, Leia bundled tiredly in our arms; unaware of what her life would hold for the galaxy.
