Part 1!

She/Her

2nd POV
♡︎♡︎♡︎♡︎♡︎

"Ezra! Make sure your arms are straight when you swing like that!" Kanan Jarrus, Jedi Knight, alongside the Master of Ezra Bridger commented, his bleak eyes staring endlessly at the darken void that he must always face. He was blind, yet he was so in-tune with the force, that he could still train his apprentice with no trouble,

"Po-Po, make sure you parry Ezra's attack when he flanks you like that," you commented to your apprentice, a young Kel Dor named Po-Po Asëff. You had found him while traveling on Tatooine with your Rebel group, and instantly sensed his force sensitivity. He grew so quickly with the force, that he now had his own lightsaber too; a shining yellow blade.

Kanan nodded in your direction, his eyes blinking, "Ezra, make sure to anticipate what Po-Po will do. Don't focus on just what you can see, but what you can feel, same with you, Po."

The young Kel Dor nodded at the male Jedi's advice, and did as commanded. You could sense Ezra's frustration bubbling up as your apprentice kept besting him. Po-Po was small, so he was stealthy, and could dodge numerous attacks, and come back with an even stronger move. Ezra had been training longer, yet couldn't keep up,

"Forget it," the young apprentice hollered, sheathing his lightsaber and shoving past your apprentice roughly, "This is stupid..."

"Ezra!" Kanan growled, crossing his arms across his chest, "What do you think you're doing?"

The raven-haired boy eyed the young Kel Dor maliciously and kept walking without answering his Master. Kanan couldn't see this rude jester, but you knew he could sense it just as well as Po-Po and yourself,

"What did I do?" the young Kel Dor asked; sheathing his lightsaber and walking over to the two of you, "I thought we were having fun?"

You placed your hand on his shoulder and squeezed lightly, "Ezra has always been competitive. Don't take it too personally. He's just frustrated. Go get some rest while Kanan and I figure out what to do."

"He's not in trouble, is he?" Po asked, looking from Kanan and back to you, "Seriously, it's not a big deal."

"It's not the fact that he wronged you," the elder Jedi commented, looking at you with his bleak, lifeless eyes, "It's the fact that he disobeyed me, Master (L/N), and the Jedi Code. He will need to learn his lesson so this doesn't become habit."

Before Po could continue, you released his shoulder and smiled, "Go get some rest, and don't worry about this, okay?"

"Yes, Master," the Kel Dor finished, wandering off throughout the Rebel base.

Yavin 4 wasn't an ideal place to train your apprentices, but you both knew you didn't have much choice. You and Kanan both were Commanders in the Rebellion, and you couldn't afford to put the Order before the war, despite how much the both of you wanted to. So, you trained your apprentices on the go, and luckily, they were both fast learners.

"You were like that too when you were younger," you smiled a bit, "You shouldn't be too hard on Ezra. The life of a rogue Jedi is hard, we both know this."

Kanan leaned slightly into your body and sighed, closing his eyes in sadness, "He's changed. Not just in his attitude, but his force signature too. After Maul took my eyes, I know he blames himself. It's not our life we live he's having trouble coming to terms with, it's forgiving himself for something that's not even his fault."

You sighed and rubbed his back, "Then that's another reason you need to take it easy on him. We lost our Masters early into our training, but he has to live everyday seeing his permanently-injured teacher; one who he couldn't protect. No wonder he's acting out. Imagine how we'd feel."

"He still needs to learn though," the elder Jedi paused; mouth slightly agape. Kanan then planted a kiss on your cheek before continuing, "He can't continue acting out like this. He needs to learn it was that Sith's fault, not his."

"Do what you wish, my love," you smiled and kissed his lips, "I am going to find Po in a bit and take him on a scouting mission if you'd like to come too. It might be good for you and Ezra to get off Yavin 4 as well."

Kanan nodded in immediate agreement, "I'll talk to Ezra, then we will accompany you. We should scout our territories in the Outer Rim. Imperial scouts could be stealing our resources."

You smiled and kissed him once more, "That's exactly what I was thinking. We haven't been out there in a while."

"I kind of just wish it was you and I going out," the Jedi whispered, pressing his lips gently against your neck, "It's been so long since we've had some alone time. Our apprentices are really taking up our time."

You suppressed a moan and pushed him off, shaking your head and smirking at his antics, "We have responsibilities, my love. You know this better than I do."

Kanan grumbled in defeat and sighed, "I'm gonna go find Ezra then. I love you."

Every time those three words left Kanan's mouth, a huge blush formed on your cheeks. You knew he couldn't see your rosy face, but you knew he could feel it, "I love you too, Kanan," you smiled, pressing your lips onto his. Of course, he kissed back. Every time your lips touched, you two fell more into love.

You two separated, but honestly, you longed to fall back into his arms. He was your everything. You had inner debates often, while trying to fall asleep about whether you'd save Po-Po or Kanan if it came down to it, and you still didn't know the answer. Your Padawan meant hope for the galaxy; a catalyst that could ignite a spark for the life in the new Jedi Order. Kanan was the love of your life, and the only reason you didn't quit at the beginning of the purge... without him, you'd be dead.

Shaking these thoughts from your mind, you began searching the rebel base, and finally spotted Po-Po. He was having a long conversation with the Lassat, Garazeb and your favorite little droid, Chopper. Po was leaning against a ship; his robes skimming across the dirt. It just hit you how small your Padawan was despite his age. He only reached up to Zeb's stomach, and was only about a head taller than Chopper,

"Having fun, you three?" you asked, stepping towards them, earning a small smile from Zeb, "May I borrow my apprentice for a moment?"

"Sure, (Y/N). By the way, have you seen Ezra?" the Lassat asked, "He came by a while ago, and he was pretty mad."

Po dipped his head in embarrassment, "Zeb, I already asked you to not talk about that."

Zeb smirked and pushed the smaller male forward, "Must've slipped my mind, shortie. Don't hold your master up now."

Po and you left the crowd, but the Kel Dor's attention still lingered there, "What's on your mind?"

"You know how you and Master Jarrus are in a... relationship?" the young Padawan asked, causing a blush to appear on your cheeks. The two of you always tried to hide your engagements, but evidently, you two hadn't hidden them well enough, "I know it's against the Jedi Code, but I think I am starting to have feelings for someone as well."

"Kanan and I aren't in a relationship," you sighed, knowing it was hopeless to try and lie your way out of this, "But who are you feeling this way about?"

"It's not important..." Po sighed and shook his head, "I'm just looking for advice. I want to ignore these feelings and carry on with my training."

You smiled sadly and rubbed your Padawan's shoulder comfortably, "I am going to give you two options. One, I offer you similar training I received from my Master when I was feeling this way, or two, I give you simple advice about our situation."

"What's the advice, Master?" Po asked, leaning against the Ghost, which was going to be carrying the 4 of us off this planet momentarily, "Not that I'm opposing the training, but maybe if I hear it, it might change some things."

You nodded and motioned over to Kanan, "You're a smart kid. Obviously, Kanan and I share feelings for each other, I won't lie to you... that's the last thing I want to do. Back when the Order was sturdy and unshakable, I asked my Master for advice on the topic, hoping I could get Kanan off my mind. It worked for a while but... the life of a Jedi crumbled. We didn't know when our next meal would come, yet alone if we would even survive the night... what I'm saying is, the Jedi are gone. Follow your gut. If you want to try something unorthodox, I won't stop you."

Po cocked his head to the side, then relaxed his shoulders, "That wasn't what I was expecting to hear, but honestly that helped. You're right though, Master. With life like it is now, you can't delay things like this when you might not even see tomorrow."

"Let's talk about this later, okay?" you asked, nudging your apprentice's side, "Here comes Kanan and Ezra."

The Kel Dor straightened up and nodded, "Thanks, Master."

The two males approached the Ghost; Kanan walking as if he still claimed his sight, and Ezra walking with a certain annoyance to his stride, "Lighten up, Ezra," you smiled, giving him a hard time, "We are gonna be on a fun mission, and we are finally leaving Yavin 4. That's something to look forward to, hmm?"

Ezra just hummed in reply, but you knew if it wasn't for Kanan's presence, he wouldn't have even recognized your remark towards him. That didn't bother you though. He's just a kid going through a hard time.

Po and Ezra walked past Kanan and you; mounting the Ghost. They always prepped the ship for flight while the rest of you went over the mission. Generally, Sabine, Hera, Zeb and Chopper would be coming along too, but not this time. Just you guys. It's been such a long time since it's been even the four of you alone, yet alone Kanan and yourself,

"You look beautiful today, (Y/N)," Kanan piped up, moving a piece of hair behind your ear.

You giggled and pushed a kiss to his nose, "Now, how do you know this? If I remember correctly, you're blind."

"I just know, darling," he sneered, turning tail and walking towards the entrance of the ship, "Come on. I say we head towards Kamino first."

"Why Kamino?" you questioned; pictures of Clones of many colors dancing through your mind, "That's mainly Imperial controlled. Why would we risk our resources on Kamino?"

"An old friend of ours has started a resistance on the planet's surface," Kanan continued, shutting the Ghost's door as you climbed aboard behind him, "He could use the help of 4 Jedi, I'm sure."

"Everyone in the galaxy could use the help of 4 Jedi right about now," you sighed, not having a good feeling about this spontaneous plan of Kanan's, "Who is this mutual friend we will be assisting?"

Kanan grabbed your hand and pulled you towards the cockpit, where both the Padawan were pushing in coordinates and setting the gravity correctly on the ship. Po was arguing with Ezra, who seemingly had already been filled in on the plan,

"Ezra, we need to wait until Kanan and (Y/N) get here. We don't know that they want to go to Kamino!"

The raven haired boy rolled his eyes and playfully pushed at his friend's shoulder, "Relax. Kanan already went over the plan with me. There's a resistance group on Kamino run by Captain Rex. You remember Rex, right?"

A smile formed on your lips, as well as Kanan's. A very good surprise indeed. It's been many rotations since you'd seen Rex, and know since you knew the situation, you'd never turn down this request,

"Yeah, Po," you grinned, sitting down in one of the cockpit seats, "Push the coordinates for Kamino."
