She/Her

Part 1!

1st POV

♡︎♡︎♡︎♡︎♡

"Watch where you're going, Lothcat-brain!" I sneered while purposefully bumping into my best friend, Poe Dameron. Him and I had met during pilot school around 3 years ago, and he's been like a brother to me since,

"Shut up, (Y/N)," he grinned while wrapping his arm around my shoulder and pulling me into his side, "Has General Organa told you the plan yet?"

My eyebrows furrowed together in confusion, "The plan? The Order hasn't been active in months. I thought we were resting for now."

"And let them get the jump on us?" the older male gasped while pulling away from the goofy hug, "You must've definitely missed the briefing then, hmm?" he hummed while leading me inside towards our beautiful shiny red ship.

The subtle background noise of Rebels getting ready just pricked my interest more, "Poe, just tell me already before I ask the General," I huffed while climbing into the ship; my fingers dancing across the dashboard and making it roar to life.

Poe rolled his eyes and climbed in after me, "Leia said she wanted you and I to pose as First Order Troops— spies if you will," he smirked while pulling his helmet across his face, a First Order Helmet at that, "Dangerous, but she knows we can do it, and do it well."

"Dangerous is my middle name," I smirked  while repeating Poe's actions, "What's the coordinates?"

Kylo's POV
♡︎♡︎♡︎♡︎♡︎♡︎

My eyes snapped open from an uneasy slumber. I felt some unbalance in the force... almost like a warning, or a sign. Clenching my teeth, I rise from my resting position and race out of my quarters, "General Hux," I growled, "Check all ships and troopers. I have a feeling we're not alone here."

"You have a feeling?" Hux contradicted, "Well, I hardly believe that's a reason to dock our ships and search all the troopers."

I glared daggers at the older man. He breathed in a heavy breath then nodded, "Of course, right at once."

I stomped away heavily, the weird sense still pricking at my gut. It felt like a woman. Maybe that persistent Jedi, Rey? No, didn't feel the same. This once wasn't force sensitive, yet she still felt like a threat...

(Y/N) POV
♡︎♡︎♡︎♡︎♡︎♡︎

"Poe, we're gonna get caught," I grumble, pulling on the chest plate of my red Elite Praetorian armor, "Won't they wonder why I'm not with Snoke? How did we even get this armor?"

I could tell the brunette was rolling his eyes from underneath his white trooper mask, "Obviously you were on lunch break and me, a lonely trooper, am escorting you back," the man smirked, causing me to exhale sharply, "Look, if you're close with Snoke, this could be good for us."

"Can't he like sense stuff like this, having the force and all?" I asked while resuming my position in the cockpit, "His dog, Kylo Ren will probably be sent to strip my limbs one by one. And anyways, Poe, where is the legendary Praetorian weaponry we fear so much?"

"You're optimistic today, hmm?" he replied sarcastically, "And it's near the exit of the ship. Grab it on your way out."

The rest of the ride was completely silent. I felt so unbelievably nervous, like an animal in a cage. It didn't help that this ruby-red armor was chafing up my legs and burning something fierce,

"State your business," a cadet from inside the First Order ship boomed; the cruiser looming over our tiny ship menacingly.

Poe cleared his throat before replying, "Landing sir. We have precious cargo."

"Codes?" the man from the other side blandly asked.

Poe removed just helmet and glanced into the dark abyss, "C12-82. I have a Praetorian Guard with me, so I recommend you hurry up, sir," the brunette says gently, yet with force while throwing the helmet back on his head.

"You're free to dock. Welcome back," the First Order trooper commented, obviously not wanting to hold any of Snoke's personal guards up.

I sneered and positioned the ship for boarding, "You made that look too easy," I grinned like a child on Christmas, "Just threaten slightly and boom, you get whatever you want."

"Shut up and get into character. If Ren or Snoke find out we're here, the mission will be compromised and we will be dead by dawn," Poe elbowed my gut. The armor absorbed the blow, but without it, his playful elbow would've normally blown the air from my lungs.

Our ship easily docked across from some Tie Fighters which had some un-armored troopers working on them, alongside some droids of many shapes and colors, "Well, here goes nothing," I grinned, patting my best friends shoulder while nabbing the Praetorian Vibro-Voulge; its blade almost nicking the ceiling of the ship as we unloaded.

Many troopers faced the two of us; the curiosity pricking directly at us because the fact that I wasn't with Snoke, like I had pointed out to my accompaniment, but Poe and I just kept a natural stance and headed toward the elevator which luckily was right beside our landed ship. If it wasn't, who knew how long it would take for me to find the throne room,

"Alright, when you find the throne room, I'm gonna head off and blend in. Stay safe, (Y/N)," he smiles and nods at me softly, which is his way of saying not to die. We were the only ones in the elevator so we could freely talk for the time.

I tapped my Vibro-Voulge against his helmet and smiled from beneath mine; a scared and worried smile, "Same goes for you. Thanks for being my friend."

He shoved my shoulder in annoyance, "Don't get all sappy with me now. We will be fine."

The elevator seemed to slow down as I reached the throne room. Exiting, I left Poe all alone, and he left me alone. Snoke was having a conversation with the dreaded Kylo Ren, so I blent in and stood guard at the elevator entrance beside another Praetorian Guard, "You've been gone a while. Where have you been?" he asked impatiently.

"I had some personal business to attend to," I gruffly replied, attaching my overly-dangerous weapon to my back, "Let's just do our job, okay?"

"I had a vision," I overheard from the man kneeling on the ground, "I can still feel remnants of it. Someone is going to break in here and destroy us from the inside out."

Snoke raised his disgusting wrinkled hand in the air and frowned, "Rey?" he asked airily; neither of them noticing my arrival.

"No, another," Kylo shook his head in disgust, "She works with the Resistance. She has no force-sensitivity, but I fear she may be our undoing."

Snoke pondered for a second, "Second-Guard!" he hollered, looking right at me, "Come here!"

My (Y/C/E) eyes snapped up at the beast of a man and nodded, walking over nervously. I stood in silence and watched, "You shall be Kylo Ren's personal guard since he's being ever so paranoid."

"Yes, Supreme Leader Snoke!" I announced while looking over at Kylo; scooting to stand beside of him, "Any last desires?"

"No," he boomed, pointing at the door, "Both of you, leave me be!"

Kylo sighed in uttermost unhappiness but bowed and left, me trailing right behind him, "I don't need you following me around like a lost Lothcat," he sneered as the two of us boarded the crowded elevator.

"Sorry, sir," I grumbled, not really liking this situation either, "Not really my choice."

Kylo raised an eyebrow at that comment, "Also, I didn't think Snoke hired women into his platoon of 8? How good are you at combat?" he was obviously not appreciating my sarcastic reply and lack of enthusiasm for working with him.

"I was the best in the squad. Only woman to ever be selected, sir," I reply as the elevator stops suddenly, "I couldn't help overhearing your conversation with the Supreme Leader, and I know it's not really my place, but do you really think there's a Rebel on board?"

The younger man rolled his hazel eyes and shook his head; his fuzzy raven-black hair falling into his face, "You're right, it's not your place."

He waltzed towards his quarters. If I wasn't wearing this heavy armor, I'd  be able to easily keep up with his pace, "Wait out here and 'guard' my chambers, got it?" he glared and closed his door before I could reply.

Hissing, I immediately contacted Poe, "C12-84, do you copy?" I whispered into my com link, hoping Poe was still alive and well.

"Yes, O67-13, how may I help you?" he answered back.

"I have been moved from Snoke to Kylo's personal guard," I whispered through gritted teeth, "This will make things more difficult, but I think I can get close to him."

Hours past since my last contact with Poe. Kylo hasn't left his room, so I decided to bring him dinner, which consisted of cheese, an apple and some buttered bread, "Kylo, sir," I rapped on his door lightly, "I brought you dinner."

The door slid open and he was sitting on a cot; his hair draped over his face. On his right eye, a bright red gash; recently new and bleeding. He was obviously trying to hide it, "Just lay it on my desk."

"Hey, I can help you with that!" I scrambled, laying his food down and walking over to his bed, "Only if you let me though. That'll scar bad if you leave it."

He glared up angrily, "Soldier, I thought you said you were a fighter, not a doctor."

"I know some simple stuff," I comment while removing my gloves, "It doesn't take a doctor to know you're hurt. Now please, sir, allow me to help."

He rolled his eyes and knocked his hair behind his shoulder with a loud sigh, "Quickly please, I have more important things to do."

I nodded and removed my helmet so I could see better. I knew no one here would recognize me because I wasn't well known. Space fighters rarely had bounties.

His pupils immediately dilated once he laid eyes on my face and pushed me roughly back; my head knocking against the wall, "You're the woman from my dream! The Rebel? But... you?" he growled, grabbing his lightsaber with the force; the red light shining in my face.

I shrunk back and clawed for the Praetorian weapon, but I couldn't reach it. Kylo knocked my head with the butt of his lightsaber, and it all went dark.

☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾

A gut wrenching pain ripped me from my blackout. It must've been hours since my encounter with Kylo, because when my eyes opened, I realized how hungry I had become, "W-Where am I?" I gurgled out; my throat raw from dehydration.

Kylo appeared from the shadows, "You know, even though we've only known each other for a few hours, I felt a connection when you were hidden behind that hideous red armor. I was honestly thinking about making you my permanent guard. But you stabbed me in the back."

I just stayed silent, thinking about Poe and the General and how I've let both of them down for being so stupid. For subduing to my emotions.

He slunk forward like a snake. He wrapped his hands around the chair I was chained to, "I can sense something. My mother is in your mind?" he puckers his lips in thought, "You're thinking how you let her down. How much you looked up to her."

"Get out of my head!" I scrambled, throwing my head down and looking down at the marbled floor, "It doesn't have to be this way!"

His leather gloves cascaded across my delicate face, smirking, "Oh it does. You're a spy, and you know what we do to spies?"

"Just kill me then," I spit, eyes flaming with anger, "I thought you were different. Something about you felt different when we were alone. The way you just sat there and allowed me to help— a stranger. You're unlike any Sith I've heard of."

I don't know if Kylo took that as a compliment or an insult, but he threw my face aside and hissed to himself, "What's with you Rebels? Are you the only one who's this manipulative?"

"Manipulative?" I asked in amusement, "That's not really what I was aiming for."

Finally, the pain from Kylo knocking me out with his lightsaber began to hit me and I began to see stars. I mumbled in pain to myself, lurching over. Through my blurred vision, I noticed Kylo put on a face of sympathy mixed with concern,

"What's going on with you?" he asked, crouching down to meet with my eye level.

"My head hurts all of a sudden. I don't remember much," I admit, knowing there was nothing to hide, "Why do you care though?"

He gripped my chin in his hand again, "I guess we should get you patched up then. It's partially my fault, and you did try to help me when I was hurt. Let's call this even."

The Sith unlocked the chair and I collapsed into his arms. I tried to struggle, but the pure weight of fatigue and the overwhelming state of being in his arms just stopped me. He hoisted me up bridal style; dusting away a stray hair, carrying my hurt body to the First Order's Med Bay. What confused me the most however, was the quick speed of his heart when he held me, but at the same time, I enjoyed it.
