ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "Master Fisto," I spoke up confidently while walking up to the Council Member, "Master Yoda has selected the two of us, alongside many other Jedi to travel to Geonosis to rescue Master Kenobi and Padawan Skywalker."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  The Jedi Master turned around and nodded generously at me, a smile escaping his lips, "Is General Grievous involved, or is it Count Dooku?" he asked while spinning on his heels to face me, "Because this smells like Dooku's work. Grievous kills Jedi, doesn't hold captives."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  I nodded in agreement, "I thought the same. Master Yoda said alongside us, he will be bringing 210 others to help Padawan Skywalker, Master Kenobi and the Senator. I know it's not my place, but isn't that a large amount to risk for so little?"

"I try not to question my fellow Council members, just how you should not question them, (Y/N)," he eyes me strictly, making my eyes fall to the floor immediately as I followed him down the hall.

"You're right, Master," I sighed, gripping my arm, "Even though I've been a Knight for a while now, I've still got a lot to learn about keeping my emotions in check. Master Yoda definitely knows what he's doing."

As Master Fisto and I entered the Throne Room, we noticed many Clone Captains, all of which I've never seen before, lined up in an attentive position. Many Jedi stood before them, choosing their Captain, or it appeared at least to be that way.

The short-statured green Jedi wobbled over time Kit and I, smiling up at the two of us, "Just in time, you two are. Choose your Clone Captains, you must," he motioned with his little clawed hand over to the group, a small grin still on his lips.

"Our Clone Captains?" I asked, looking down at Master Yoda, "I thought they wouldn't be ready for a good while now?"

Yoda, doing his infamous chuckle, just strode away and stood beside his appointed Clone Captain, "Feel through the force, you must. An apparent choice, the force will assist with."

Kit and I separated, each going our own way through the lines of Clones. There were so many to choose from, so many colors and abilities that all needed to be accounted for. This wasn't a decision for me to make though, I must trust in the force for this.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  Extending my mind, I feel it pulling me to the end of the line, towards a younger Clone, yet powerful and ambitious. He felt no fear being amongst superiors, like the Jedi, which is important, and he was a good shot. Opening my eyes, I stared right into his brown orbs; him staring right back,

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "What's your name, Captain?" My voice echoed through the throne room, not attracting any attention from the other Jedi around.

His hand immediately snapped up to his head, saluting, "I'm CT-2620, sir."

"Do you have a nickname like the others, CT-2620?" I questioned, "I would like to refer to my Captain as another human, rather than an object, if you will."

Still saluting, he blinked and slowly nodded, "They call me Zapp, because I can run faster than any other Clone out there."

"And your mind works faster," I added on, even though I could tell he wanted to be modest and not mention that part, "You and I will make a great team, Captain Zapp. Now, go and get the rest of your squad and meet me back here immediately. We have a mission."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  Saluting, he races off towards the Clone barracks. I waltz over to Kit and chuckle softly, watching his eyes scan over each Clone, "Having trouble?" I asked, each Clone in front of me not breaking eye contact from the wall, which is what they were all focusing on.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  "I've tapped into the force to help me choose a Clone, but I don't think I'm meant to have one by my side in combat," Master Fisto admitted while turning to face me, "I saw you got yours, that's good enough. Let's get him back here and hurry to Geonosis."

I bowed at his comment, the two of us standing by while waiting for Zapp's small squadron to return, which it did speedily like expected.

"A dangerous battle, this will be," Master Yoda grumbled to the huge amount of Jedi present, "Come with me, your Clones will. Distract Dooku momentarily, you will."

Mace Windu stepped forward and nodded downwards at his High-Ranking Master, "As Master Yoda said, we will need any able bodied Clone to go with him. Everyone else will travel with me. First priority is young Skywalker, Master Kenobi, and the Senator. Capture Dooku if possible.

"I want each Jedi to have a partner through this so we can guarantee the best victory possible. I would suggest Masters and Apprentices being together," the dark-skinned Master bowed, dismissing us.

I looked up at Kit and smiled, "You have a partner yet, Master Fisto?"

"How could I have a partner yet?" he chuckled at my subtle enthusiasm, "And yes, I'd be honored to fight by your side, till the end!"

"Till the end," I nodded and tapped my lightsaber hilt to his, a way to bind trust and mind together. More metaphorically than realistically, but we Jedi respect it.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  Following after Jedi Master Plo-Koon, and my old Master, Master Secura, the blue Twi'lek turned back and offered a confident smile to me, "I can sense your fear, my old Padawan. What is it?"

ย  ย  ย  ย ย  Separating myself from Master Fisto and Master Plo, I sighed, "I can sense Dooku, Master Fisto could too. Remember what happened last time I came blade to blade with him?" I gulped, remembering his red hot blade at my neck, the pure rage and evil radiating from him. Without Master Secura, I'd definitely be dead.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  She placed a firm grip on my shoulder as we continued walking, "As a Jedi, we learn there's no fear in dying. I know that was a hard experience for you, but as a Knight, you've got to come to terms that you may die in battle, it's what we're meant to do, and with our sacrifices, many may live."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  I nodded and a smile formed at my lips, "I love being a Knight, but I always miss your wisdom in times like this."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "I'll always be here, young one. Now, let's catch up to our friends there," she grinned, taking off ahead.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  When the two of us reached the clearing on top of the shortest Jedi Temple spike, the first thing I noticed was the smooth and shiny Republic ship ready for boarding. Master Plo and Fisto were already inside, having a conversation about God-knows-what, so Master Secura and I decided to join them,

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "So what's our plan here, Master?" I asked, looking at the hologram that another Jedi, Master Trebor, had produced. It sat in the middle of the small ship, making the walls illuminate in a light blue.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  Kit Fisto scratched his chin, "I can't speak for the rest of the Jedi in the assault, but everyone in this ship will go after Dooku. If we can prevent a war from breaking out, and get rid of him while getting back Skywalker, Kenobi and Senator Amidala, then we need to take that chance."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  All of us just nodded in silence. The hologram below showed and entire map of the base at Geonosis. How Master Trebor got this still remains a mystery to me.

ย  ย  ย  ย ย  Biting my lip in thought, I point to the back of the base, where a catacomb laid. It was twisty and more than likely would get us lost, but it lead straight to where Count Dooku would more than likely be, and where that Geonosis King, Poggle would be as well,

ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "Why don't we 5 try through the catacombs?" I suggested, pointing my finger through the tunnels, "I'm sure we could find our way using the force and find Dooku right there," I commented, bashing my finger right where I suspected Dooku to be, "He wouldn't suspect it, and he wouldn't be able to sense us because of all the other Jedi in the stadium."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  Master Plo nodded while stroking his chin, "Yes, I was thinking of that too. It's definitely risky if we can't find our way out, but I think it's worth the risk, especially since you had the idea too without me bringing it up."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  The Clone piloting the ship came over the com only moments later, "Generals, we are approaching the rendezvous point. What's the plan?"

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "Take us over to the catacomb entrance," Master Fisto commanded while peeking out of the window, "I say we go in teams."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "I'll go with Master Fisto and Trebor, while Master Secura goes with Master Plo?" I suggested, waiting for their nods of approval, which slowly came,

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  "Sounds good to me. We will meet up in the Count's throne room before we take any immediate action. If one group can't get ahold of the other, we commence with the plan," The Twi'lek commented, turning to face me, "I know you can handle this, my old Padawan, but please take great caution in this foe. He's not to be underestimated."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  "I understand, my Master," I grinned, attempting to comfort the Jedi, "Let's just get this done, and fast."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  The Clone lowered us down to the catacomb entrance like we requested. The excited screams from the Colosseum erupted through the dusty landscape like an angry volcano. It was evident they were getting ready to execute our allies.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  Splitting into our two groups, we headed off spiraling through the labyrinth. We attempted to hypnotize the Geonosians at first when we came in contact, but soon it became too much of a risk, so we began cutting them down with our blades. I could tell something was wrong with Master Trebor. He wasn't in his natural mood, and was making irregular mistakes, but I wouldn't dare comment on his follies,

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  "I think Dooku is this way," Kit whispered, locking eyes with me, knowing exactly what I was thinking. I could sense he feared it too.

Sneaking around the bend, Kit's hypothesis was correct. Gazing down in the pit was Dooku with his pawns all around him. It was all a game to him, and it made me sick,

"Can one of us attempt to contact the other group?" Coleman Trebor gritted his teeth, his fingers already laced around his lightsaber, "Master Yoda will be here any moment."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  I did as commanded, but no answer from anyone in the other group, "Master Secura and Master Plo aren't replying. They must still be deep in the catacombs."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "We must commence with the mission without them then," Master Fisto said lowly, obviously aggravated, "Master Trebor and I will take out the bounty hunter and the Geonosian King. You take Dooku."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  I nodded and gulped. I would never question the motives of a council member, but taking on Count Dooku alone seemed impossible. When I was an overconfident apprentice, I thought nothing could touch me, but the Count quickly pushed that idea out of my mind.

ย  ย  ย  ย ย  Unsheathing their green lightsabers, they immediately begin doing their side of the job; taking the group by surprise and dueling, blasters against lightsabers. Then, I locked eyes with the Count.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  He grinned, his rotting teeth reflecting in the low light, "Why, if it isn't young (L/N)," he smirked, pausing as he entered the room, "Where's Master Secura? Not here to save you this time, hmm?"

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  I force-grabbed my lightsaber off my belt and ignited it; the (F/C) glow reflecting off my face, "I am a Knight now, I'm not her responsibility anymore, and it won't be as easy as last time."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "Oh good," Count cockily sneered, fingering his bent lightsaber from his belt, "Maybe this time it will be like I'm actually fighting a Jedi, and not a toddler just taking their first steps. Tell me, Jedi Knight, what has that Twi'lek taught you that could ever save your life?"

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  I felt a tad bit of anger swirl through me as the Sith Lord continued talking, but as any good fighter does, I had prepared in my mind what this battle would look like months before now, "She taught me to always keep my opponent talking," I smirk, launching myself forward and bashing my elbow into the Count's hand that was grasping his lightsaber.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  The Sith lost his grip and it toppled to the floor. Surprised, the Count let out a stream of lightning towards me, but another lesson Master Secura taught me, was always be prepared.

ย  ย  ย  ย ย  Blocking the hot bolts and reflecting them to the side, I charged forward, my blade extended outwards. I failed to listen to one of my Master's instructions though,

ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "Always pay attention to your surroundings," she would say. I didn't think clearly over my frustration and anger, and it gave Count the upper hand.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  While I wasn't looking, the Count had scooped up his lightsaber, reigniting it;ย  shoving it deep into my stomach with a hiss. Eyes wide, my blade immediately slips from my hand and rolls to the floor, my hands snapping to Dooku's blade, "Y-You got me," I smiled, blood beginning to trickle slightly from my lips, "2-0. You're g-good, Count."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  The Sith sheathed his blade and walked out of the room without a second glance. With my breath getting shorter and more shaky, my thoughts rested on Kit. What would he think? Would he blame himself for my death because I failed my job. It was such an easy job. All I had to do was follow simple instructions that have been pounded into my head since apprenticeship,

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  "(Y/N)!?" a familiar voice called out at the sight of my broken body, "No!"

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  The face of Kit Fisto entered into my clouded vision, and a smile rose to my face, "You're just the g-guy I wanted to see."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "You'll be okay. Master Yoda is here, we can get you to a hovercraft," Kit shuddered while attempting to pull me up, only resulting in a scream of pain as he touched my wound.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  I placed my bloodied hand on his cheek and smiled as best as I could, "Master, you have to keep going. Tell Z-Zapp he's now under your command. I-I will miss you, so so much."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  And with that last word, my vision continued to get worst and worst, and the burning sensation in my gut began to increase. Kit Fisto had no choice but to leave me to die in the cold entrance of the catacomb, but little did he know, I would always be waiting until the day his life would also be taken by the hand of a Sith.
