"I can't do this anymore!" I shouted angrily while punching in the dash pad located on the wall. I had joined the Empire to escape poverty-stricken Naboo, and here we are, pushing violence and destruction on the Endor locals, and any Rebel who gets in the way, "This isn't what I signed up for! I'm getting the hell out of here!"

Thank the force that no-one was around to hear my little breakdown, or else I'd be being executed right now for treason and abandonment, but it's true. I can't stand this anymore: all the abuse and evil the Empire has. Although the Rebellion drew the shortest straw, they're my best hope at surviving and being proud of my actions.
I packed my little bag, which consisted off a variety of stored foods, some weapons, and a change of clean clothes, and got out of there as swiftly as possible.

Although I was inside a base on Endor, it didn't stop the sheer humidity from flowing in and causing my back and forehead to profusely sweat without any sign of stopping. That only drove me further; the heat pricking at my body like little needles. I needed to get out of here before I blow up.

Good thing about all of this is the fact that I am a Sergeant for the Endor squad. Most Stormtroopers wouldn't even question why I'm leaving despite not being ordered. A few gave me some odd looks, but that'll happen on occasion. It doesn't matter regardless: they know better than to step in.
And to think I thought the inside of that base was hot— it had nothing on the outside. The sheer heat made my legs turn into jelly. I couldn't wrap my head around the thought of how the Ewoks lived in this daily. It was horrible.

The second the last Stormtrooper left my sights, I began sprinting as fast as possible. I haven't really thought everything over... like how the hell I am gonna survive this heat without a ship or long-term food and water.
I do know the Rebels have a very faint presence on this planet, and if I could convince them that I am truly leaving the Empire behind me, perhaps they'd lend aid, and in return, I can provide them with any information they may require.

Honestly, it felt like days had gone past since I left the base, but in reality, maybe a few hours had gone by. The heat rose off the ground like how sound waves are pictured in old science textbooks; wiggling freely into nothingness.
I was even beginning to hallucinate, and my vision was flowing in and out.
Little bright flecks resembling starts fogged my sight, and before I knew it, I was plummeting to the soft foliage below.

I don't know how many hours, days, or weeks went by before I was found. All I remember is being picked up, and hearing annoyed and angry shouting from my rescuers. Two men I think... must be Rebels considering they weren't wearing the normal, hardened Stormtrooper armour, which was the dead giveaway.
Then, softness... sleep.

I woke up sometime later. It wasn't a dream... at least the rescue and the escape from the Imperials. I figured at one point, I must've been placed in a Bacta Tank, considering the fact that I felt good as new. My throat no longer felt like sandpaper from dehydration, and my achy muscles from running were magically cured.
I am currently laying in a rather uncomfortable bed. It was more of just a cot rather than a bed. The blankets were as thin as paper, and held just about as much heat as paper world too.
I was alone in here.

"H-Hello?" I choked out; bile rising to my mouth at the sudden use of my voice, "Is anyone there?"

I forced back the sensation to vomit as someone entered the room. He was rather short, and had blond hair. Honestly, he looked far too young to be in a battle zone like this,
"You're awake, then?" he questioned, crossing the room. There were two others with him; a slightly taller man with brown hair and an angry sneer, and a woman. She looked just as angry as the brown haired guy.

"Where am I?" I questioned while rubbing the front of my throat. It felt like a forest fire when I spoke, which made my voice come out all crinkly, like I would sound if I had a cold or the flu, "How did you find me?"

The blond carefully sat in a chair beside my cot. I couldn't read this guy's intentions, whether he was happy to have me here, or if he was preparing some sort of interrogation to get me to spill all the Empire's secrets. It wouldn't take an interrogation to get me talking; I'd spill every secret imaginable if the Rebels could grow to trust me.

They were completely silent. The woman and the blond man seemed more easy going and more likely to listen to my story than the man leaning on the wall. His eyes showed distrust and hatred, but honestly, I can't blame him. Rebels are always on guard against anyone who may appear to be Imperials.

"I just want to let you know," the blond began, "We saw your Empire symbol on your coat. We want you to make some things very clear before we continue with this conversation."

I nodded hesitantly. My stomach was doing flips after hearing their declaration. They know damn well where I came from, and it'll take more than one conversation for them to trust me,

"What do you need to know?"

"What's your reasoning for being all alone and dying out in the woods?" the cagey man questioned, stepping forward and instinctively placing an arm onto the woman's shoulders, "You must've either done something horrible to the Empire, and were fleeing your crimes, or this was all a setup to get into our heads."

"Neither actually," I whispered, my voice finally coming back after not being used for a while, "It took me a while to realize how evil the Empire is. The galaxy is crumbling all because of Darth Vader and the Emperor, and although the Rebels are losing, I would rather die than fight for anyone like the Empire ever again."

The man shook his head and turned to the blond, "Luke, I don't trust this. If she's lying, and this is actually a setup, everything we've been working for here is gone. Everyone we love will die."

'Luke' nodded in agreement, but didn't advert his gaze from my face. It was like he was trying to read my mind: get inside my head,
"Han, take Leia back to command. Let everyone know who we're working with here, and all the precautions they need to take while she's with us."

I huffed and watched Han and Leia leave, then turned to face Luke, "Why the hell are you looking at me like that, boy? You some Jedi or something?"
I don't know why I assumed Luke was the Jedi that Vader and his Master were looking for, but it just slipped out. I had heard upper leadership talking about how Vader had detected another force user amongst the Rebels.

The man doesn't respond, just alternates his gaze from my face and towards my uniform. It was obvious he was puzzled over my actions,
"I think your story is legit, and that's only because, yes, I am a Jedi. I can sense your intentions, your thoughts and your emotions. You truly are upset about the Empire's actions." I immediately smiled, but his hand went up. He was obviously not done,
"You'll have a harder time convincing everyone here that you're on our side because they don't have the same intellect that I do."

I couldn't wrap my mind how he could tell I was sincere just because he's a Jedi. But I was even more freaked out that I somehow knew he was the Jedi that Admiral Thrawn and the other Admirals had been speaking about. God, if they knew I'd found him, I'd be given a metal of honour. But that's not who I am anymore,

"What do I have to do?" I asked, sitting up in bed and watched Luke's breathing as he sat as still as can be, "I know Han doesn't trust me, and if everyone else here is like him, it'll be impossible."

The Jedi rose to his feet and held his hand up, "Are you okay enough to walk? I'm sure we can figure something out for you."

Then, it hit me.
"I have almost every secret plan the Empire has thought up," I spoke while painfully pulling myself out of the cot and slipping into Luke's arms, "Whatever you guys need to know, I can help you figure it out."

Luke smiled lightly while helping me back onto my feet. The second I realized I had stumbled into him while crawling out of the cot, a little blush formed,
"I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize... by the way, I never picked up your name?"

I smiled right back and nodded, "I'm (Y/N)."

The Jedi grinned louder and nodded, "I think if we can prove that the information you're giving to us is valid and real, you'll be cleared in no time. The only issue is you'll be hunted down to the ends of the galaxy by the Empire."

"That's the life of a Rebel, isn't it, Luke?" I rebutdtaled right back, earning a smirk, "If I knew what I was signing up for all those moons back, I wouldn't have joined. I would've been a Rebel regardless."

Luke just nodded in agreement; obviously pleased with my response. As we walked through the hallways towards the main room where all the rebellion leaders were waiting, many of the Rebels couldn't get their eyes off me. Disgust, anger and shock rippled through the crowd, but Luke paid no attention, so I didn't bother either,
"They'll understand soon enough," the Jedi commented, nudging my shoulder encouragingly, "They're just scared."

Fear does a lot to people. Hence why the Empire was dominating the galaxy right now: everyone is afraid. Well, except the Rebels, but even their numbers are dwindling.

The second we entered the control room, all eyes were on me. The eyes who did the most damage were the ones owned by Mon Mothma, senator from Chandrilla, and the leader of the Rebels. I could read her just about as well as I could read Luke,

"Welcome, newcomer," she commented while standing up. I saw Han roll his eyes behind his leader, and Leia elbowed him. They must've been angry about how Mon Mothma was treating me... like a person, not some evil Imperial,
"I assume you have some explaining to do?"

"Yes, ma'am," I responded, my voice suddenly deciding to crinkle out again, which resulted in a small burst of coughs. Apologizing, I raised my head up and nodded, "I have every bit of Imperial knowledge that has been released to individuals holding my rank."

"Get started then," the senator requested, watching me carefully.
I didn't even know where to start. There's just so much. Then, it hit me like a punch: the Death Star.

I cleared my throat and nodded, "As you all likely know, the Empire is in production of a new Death Star." Silence filled the room, "After your group destroyed the first model, Vader and the Emperor began working on a new, more protected model. Which unfortunately is just that: more protected."

"Tell us something we don't know, sweetheart!" Han shouted from across the room, earning another elbow from Leia. At this point, they way they were acting, it was obvious to me that they're in some sort of relationship, which caused me to inwardly cringe. How could anyone love that douche bag?

Mon Mothma turned around and glared at the brown haired man, "Let her finish, or I will kick you out of this meeting. Don't test me, Solo."

As the man abided to his leader's wishes, I continued, "There's a few entry points to the core reactor," I continued, "I'll need some of your holo tapes for the Death Star so I can point them out. But until then, I can fill you in with the rest."

Over the course of an hour, everyone in the control room grew still as my story continued and continued with no sign of stopping. I had gotten those holo tapes of the Death Star I requested, and I fully filled them in on all the entrance points, weaknesses, and where the guard TIE-Fighters would be stationed. I revealed all the Empire's bases on Endor, troop count, and military machinery count. The Empire was rendered useless at this point. The most important part of all of this being the fact that the ray shield for the Death Star was held right here on Endor; fresh for pickings.

Once everyone was dismissed, Han Solo walked up, scratching his head nervously,
"Look," he began, Leia shooting daggers at him from across the room, "I apologize. You're not so bad, kid."

I nodded and thanked him, which caused the man to loosen up a bit, and wander back over to his girlfriend. Then, that left Luke and I,

"Do you think it worked?" I asked while biting my lip in thought, "Because if that didn't convince them, I have more intel."

Luke laid his arm across my shoulders and began walking, "(Y/N), I think if they're not convinced, nothing will convince them. But, you have Mon Mothma's support, and Han's, so you're in a good spot here."

I craned my head to look up at the Jedi; his eyes sparkling, "Do I have your support?"

He crinkled up his nose thanks to his giant smile. That single action caused butterflies to flutter around in my stomach,
"Of course you do."

I leaned into his chest and hugged the man. I don't know what it is about him, but he feels safe... he feels like home.
Pressing a kiss to my forehead, Luke fell into the hug, both of us smiling like idiots... like we were the only people in the world.
My Jedi...
