Tears swelled in Rey's eyes as she stared at her broken lightsaber. "Rey, come here."

Rey blinked away her tears, looking around. The voice sounded familiar. "Rey," it said again. "If you'd look outside your TIE fighter you would be able to see me."

Rey exited the TIE fighter clumsily. "Master Luke!" she cried. Luke stood outside the TIE fighter. Luke floated slightly above the ground, wearing his old robes, covered in a soft blue light. Rey stared at the vision before her. "Am I dreaming?"

"No, you've just never seen a Force ghost before." Luke smiled, then grew serious. "There's no time to lose."

"But my lightsaber's broken!"

"So I've seen."

Rey stared at Luke. "Well?"

Luke clasped his hands. "I'm just waiting for you to ask for help. You were always a stubborn one."

"Fine. Help me. Fix it."

"I can't fix it for you. I only came to give you advice. Now, use the Force."

Rey acted sarcastic. "You expect me to use the Force to put a broken piece of metal back together? You're treating me like, like, I'm all powerful! I could never do something as hard as that!" She laughed.

Luke didn't even crack a smile. "I've learned more about the Force now that I've become part of it. If you can destroy things with the Force, then can't you put things back together?"

Rey, stubborn as usual, took a few seconds to absorb the information. "I guess."

"Well, go."

"Ok, no distracting me." Rey held up the two halves of lightsaber. She closed her eyes, breathing in.  She felt the Force flowing through her.

"Reach out...what do you feel?" Luke tried to say it gently to help her, but failed.

Rey popped her eyes open, bursting into laughter, then abruptly stopped. It had reminded her of her lesson on the Force on Ahch-to, when Luke had tricked her and slapped her.

"Stop!" she shouted angrily. "For all we know, Snoke is killing Ben right now. I need to go help him defeat Snoke!"

"Fine, I'm gone," Luke said, disappearing.

"I didn't mean like that! Come back!" Rey tried to call back Luke, but gave up. "Focus," she said.

Rey began the process again. Eyes closed. Deep breath. Lightsaber in hand. Rey reached out with her mind, and saw the Force moving around her. She felt it flowing around two halves of the lightsaber. Every piece of metal, every edge of the kyber crystal, was known to Rey's mind as she shut everything in the real world out and focused on what was in front of her. Once she had done that, Rey narrowed in on the Force between the two parts. She drew the Force together, pulling the two halves closer and closer together in her hands. She pulled on the Force, moving it with her mind. The two halves of kyber crystal clicked together, jagged edges fitting into place. Rey binded the Force around the hilt of the lightsaber, finally completing her task.

Rey opened her eyes. In her hands laid a whole  lightsaber hilt, warm and tingling.

"Wow." She turned it on to see if it worked. A blue light shot out. "Perfect."

With that, Rey jogged in the direction of Snoke's fortress. It took her five minutes. "Phew." She entered the hallway without so much as a glance. She paused in front of the double doors that led to Snoke's throne room, and stopped.

This is it. To save the galaxy or not to save the galaxy. It's up to me. Snoke must die. I have to convince Ben to help me. It's the only way to bring down Snoke.

She pushed open the door and walked in. "Welcome!" A voice that she had been hoping never to hear again greeted her. Rey saw Snoke sitting on his throne. She saw strange guards clad in dark-gold armor standing near Snoke's throne, with another group of guards in black standing in a fighting stance near a column. "Your scavenger girl is here to save you, Ren!" Snoke examined his fingers, enjoying poking fun at the Kylo and Rey.

Rey ignited her lightsaber and realized something she hadn't seen: Ben. "Where is he?" she practically spit the words out at Snoke.

"Who?"

"You know who I mean!"

"Why don't you look behind you?"

Rey whirled around. The double doors were directly behind her, but about ten feet away, Kylo lay slumped against the stone wall, his lightsaber slipping from his hand. His feet lay sprawled in front of him, and his head tilted up.

Rey was shocked. She ran over to him, "Ben! Ben...," Rey stooped down and touched his shoulder. She turned, still squating next to Kylo. "What did you do to him?"

Snoke laughed and tapped his fingers on the arm of his throne. "We had, let's say, a little battle of our own. I used Force lightning, which Kylo tried to repel, of course. He succeeded for a little bit. But he couldn't take it any longer and collapsed. He should be fine. I didn't want to kill him right away. It is a slow process."

"NO!" Rey shouted. Kylo stirred and opened his eyes. Rey and Kylo stared at each other. "Ben?"

It took Kylo some effort to move his lips. "Rey. I'll be fine in a little bit. The lightning just shocked my body. Please, buy me some time to recover."

"I'll...I'll kill him for this! Ben you must join me and help me defeat him!" Rey said softly.

Even though he was temporarily weakened, Kylo would not budge. "No, Rey, join me. It's for the good of the galaxy."

Rey shook her head and prepared to stand up. "No, Ben. I could not do that. Even this close to death, you still refuse to do what you know is right. I will have to kill Snoke myself. And if you are going to return to the First Order after that, I might have to kill-" Rey paused, not wanting to say the dreaded word.

"Me."

"You." Rey could barely be heard. She stood up. "I would help Ben Solo, but I would have to kill Kylo Ren."

With that, Rey marched straight in the direction of Snoke's throne. Kylo was left sitting against the wall, slowly regaining his strength. Snoke looked bored. Rey halted about ten feet away from him.

"Don't get too close! My guards are on orders to attack anyone who dares come up to my throne uninvited! And I would like to kill you myself, anyway," said Snoke. His guards tensed, ready for anything.

Rey straightened and ignited her lightsaber. "I, Rey, come here to challenge you and ultimately kill you. You are a threat to the galaxy, and I arrived on Rengurar with the task of defeating you."

"You? Defeat me? You, pretending to be a Jedi. I will not let you kill me as Kylo attempted to before. I let him kill me. My Force projection, to be exact. But this time, it will not be that easy. You are witnessing the true and powerful Snoke, in his real form." Snoke got out of his throne and waved one of his guards off to fetch something.

Rey remained in fighting stance. "Relax. I will not fight you until I get my lightsaber," said Snoke. "I was just about to get it out anyway for round two of my fight with Kylo. Force lightning was just to weaken him a bit."

Rey did relax a little, but she was surprised. "Your lightsaber?"

"Yes."

The guard returned, holding an engraved metal box inlaid with yellow gemstones. Snoke opened it and took out a beautiful hilt of a lightsaber, with a ring of obsidian circles wrapped around it. The guards scurried to stand in front of their columns, but the black guards had gotten a secret signal from Kylo and knew they had to join the fight. They began to advance on Snoke's gurads, outnumbered, but their skills made up for it. It was six of Kylo's guards versus fourteen of Snoke's.

The stage was set. Everyone was ready. Even Kylo was trying to sit up, still failing, but doing better. Snoke ignited his lightsaber. Two yellow lights shot out of either side.

"I'm guessing you're not used to double sided lightsabers, are you?" Snoke asked as he waited for Rey to make the first move.
