SKY

"Have you ever been to a party?" He asked, his hands clenching into steering wheel.

"Yeah, a few times." I lied, playing with my nails.

We parked outside of the beach and I waited for him to pay for parking before we walked over to the sand. It was night time and there were a few students from school I could recognize standing around a bon fire, all holding red plastic cups and talking amongst each other.

I felt nervous, and the stares sent to Alexander and I were not helping. We were coming to the party together, just as friends, but still together. People were staring like we were an odd couple, or something they would have never expected.

Walking through loud music and drunk teenagers, we ended up at the bon fire and Alexander placed the beers down.

He greeted a few people, and they looked surprised to have him with me. Some of his friends gave him mischievous smirks but I ignored them and lightly hummed to the music.

"Here." Alex said, pouring liquids into a red cup.

I looked at the pink drink hesitatingly before taking a sip. It tasted like cherry with a mix of alcohol and I found myself smiling before taking another sip.

He chuckled and looked down at me gulp the drink. "It's good right?"

I giggled while nodding and finished the drink and then poured myself another. I already felt myself being dizzy. I had only drank a few times, and those times were enough to let me know I was a light-weight. But tonight I didn't care, I wanted to be a normal teenager just for one night.

"Slow down, now." He warned, taking the cup from my hands.

I pouted and was ready to yell at him before I felt someone tap my shoulder.

I turned to see Elena beside her boyfriend, Justin. They were wearing matching bathing suits, and they looked so cute together.

"Hi." She squealed, pulling me into a hug.

We talked for a bit while Alexander and Justin spoke to each other about basketball.

I heard a few people call Alex's name and looked back at the same time as him.

A few of the guys from the basketball team were at another fire standing around it. I spotted Angela amongst them, who was also staring at us very meanly. She wore pretty much the same outfit as I: Jean shorts and a white top, but with her bright pink bikini showing through.

He began to walk towards them, and I followed him because I was here with him. When he turned around with his hands on my shoulders I knew what was coming. He was going to reject me out of embarrassment again.

"You good here?" He asked, looking back at Elena and Justin. I nodded shyly and forced a smile

I stayed with Elena and Justin, but kept my eyes on Alexander who was jogging towards the other most popular people from school and felt my eyes start to sting. How could I even think for a second him and I were here at this party together? Was I really this dense? Why did he hate me so much?

I downed another drink.

The rest of the party was absolutely awful. Justin and Elena were nice and all, but I could tell they only stayed with me because I had nobody else. Home was not too far from the party, but I stayed out of fear of people judging me even more. Two drinks turned to five, and by that point I was an easy date. I was so incredibly drunk that I didn't even care about how much Alexander hurt me, I didn't even feel the emotions anymore.

Elena, Justin and I were sitting on the sand in front of the beautiful and calm water. The water would periodically reach my feet.

"Did you know th-" I began, but stopped myself when I realized that Elena's attention was off of me and now completely on Justin.

She was straddling his lap and they were practically eating each other's mouths. I felt so uncomfortable, and took a sip of my drink.

"Alright then." I affirmed, standing up from sand.

I'd rather be anywhere else than sit here and third wheel.

I started scanning for Alexander, my blood starting to boil at the thought of him. Maybe I could just tell him off one last time before I'm completely done with him. My vision was blurry, but I just kept walking in hopes to find him.

"Hey, Sky!" I heard a voice call me from the water behind me. I turned my head to see that Eric was calling me.

Eric was in the ocean along with Alexander, Angela , few other boys from the basketball team and some girls I think I saw in a play at school. Alexander was standing next to Angela, not doing anything, but still standing next to her.

"Come in the water with us." Eric suggested, making me put my attention back on him.

Eric was just another popular guy in school, he was even more arrogant than Alexander. He was just even more of a douche. I didn't like him.

I started to walk over to them, my vision literally red while my eyes were planted on Alexander.

"Um. . . Maybe remove your clothes?" A boy suggested, and Angela let out a laugh.

I quickly took my clothes off, setting them down on the sand. The boys and girls started cheering for me as I did, and I swam over to them.

"Who invited you?" Angela provoked.

I looked over at her and felt all the eyes of the people on me. Her blue eyes were staring straight at me, with her wet blonde hair pulled back.

"Alex did actually." I grinned, lifting my chin up at her. She rolled her eyes at me and focused back on Alexander.  I sipped my drink and looked up at them while drinking.

Alexander's eyes were on me the whole time, while Angela was tracing her finger on his bare chest.

I kept my eyes on him as well.

He was angry about something. Maybe it was about me being here, but he's the one who invited me to come. Why was he being like this?

"So how do you like Summerside, Sky?" Eric asked me, moving closer to me.

The sober me would've been uncomfortable and ran for the hills but I confidently stayed and even scooted closer to him.

"It's okay." I shrugged as he placed his arm around me.

"Pizza's here." A boy called out, holding many pizza boxes. Everyone swam to rush to the food but Eric, Alexander and I stayed.

"You coming?" Angela asked Alexander. I turned to look at him only to have him already glaring at me.

"Nah, I'm not hungry." He answered.

She gave me a look before walking into the house which I ignored.

Eric now had his hand on my waist, which Alexander looked at from above the water. I didn't know what was happening but I was curious.

"You're so sexy." Eric babbled from beside me. I gave him a shy smile as he brought his lips close to mine.

Taken aback, I let him kiss me. His lips moved quickly against mine so I picked up my pace.

I don't know if it was the alcohol in my system but I didn't stop him from moving his gentle assault to my neck.

I closed my eyes at the feeling of his kisses on my neck and bit my lip. It didn't feel as good as neck kisses are supposed to feel, but I didn't stop him.

My arms were around his neck and he had his hands grabbing onto my waist.

When I looked up, Alexander was surprisingly still there watching us.

His eyes were a now dark shade as he watched me. He didn't look away from me for a second and I grew embarrassed at him watching me.

How is this for being fun?

"You wanna get out of here?" Eric suggested. I smile and just took my cup to take a sip of the cherry drink.

He got a hint of the silence and huffed before getting out of the water, leaving me alone with Alexander.

Alexander's dark eyes continued to look at me and if I wasn't as drunk as I was, I wouldn't giggle.

"What?" I giggled, before taking a sip of my drink.

He shook his head and gave me a disappointed look before starting to walk away. He stood tall and looked down at me.

"I take you to one party and you're already acting like every other slut in the school." He barked.

The words cut through my skin. The exact thing I didn't want to hear had come out of his mouth. Somebody who's, for some unknown reason, approval and impression meant so much to me.

I wanted to defend myself, but I stayed quiet and looked down at the water, knowing he was right.

He scoffed before walking out of the water, leaving me completely embarrassed alone. I was drunk, hurt and sad. Which was not a good combination. I stayed in the water, shame and guilt the only thing keeping me from running into any other person at this stupid party.

Home wasn't too far away of a walk, so I decided to get out of the water and put my clothes back on. Everyone was paying attention to themselves and didn't notice me leaving, which I was happy about.

How ironic?

"Fuck." I cursed under my breath as I reached the road, not realizing if I was to go left or right. I pulled out my phone when I heard footsteps behind me. The dizziness got too much and I literally fell over nothing.

"Are you alright?"

Eric.

"No." I responded truthfully, along with a soft chuckle. He held out his hand for me to grab and helped me up.

I lost my own support from my legs and let him catch me. He was silent as he led me somewhere I didn't know.

"W-Where are we going?" I wondered, my walk unstable. He stayed quiet and started looking behind us.

"Here, have a seat here." He sat me down at the back of his car and went to the front seat to get me water.

He was just being a nice guy, I thought. I drank the water and winced at my headache.

"Fun and me are not a great combo." I scoffed, sitting up. I pulled out my phone.

I didn't care about possibly getting in trouble with my mother but wanted to call her so I pulled my phone out of my back pocket.

He took it from my hands and gave me a smirk.

"There's nothing wrong with a little bit of fun." He said before lightly pushing down. He grabbed my legs to open them and kneel in between them as he leaned down to kiss my neck.

"S-Stop." I begged, trying to push him away. He kept telling me to relax but I didn't feel at ease.

"Finish was you started, Sky, I'm so hard ." He said, starting to undo his pants.

My mind was telling me to kick this idiot in the nuts but my head was just spinning in circles.

The begs for him to stop didn't even come out of my mouth as he started to touch me everywhere.

I let a small tear fall from my eye and almost threw up as he started to kiss my neck.

Before I even knew it, his body was snatched from me. It took me a long minute to get up to see what was happening. Alexander had Eric under him and punched him relentlessly.
