Taehyung was sitting on his bed, watching a random kdrama on his laptop- or rather trying to watch because the reception on his laptop kept going out- when the door opened and Jungkook walked in.

"Hey I haven't seen you in awhi- what's wrong?" Taehyung says as the younger boy let'sย  out a choked sob.

Taehyung hops down from his bunk and takes Jungkook into his arms.

"J-Jimin broke up with me." Jungkook says thickly, his voice coated with unshed tears.

"I-I'm sorry to hear that." Taehyung says softly.

On the inside though he was bursting with excitement.

This was his chance. He could finally make Jungkook's his, once and for all.

He looks down in alarm as Jungkook begins to cry, full on sobbing.

"Hey don't cry. He's not worth the tears." Taehyung says consolingly.

"B-but I loved him Tae. And now he's gone." Jungkook cries, his hands fisting into Taehyung's shirt.

"What you were doing had no malicious intent. You were literally doing it for him, and if he can't see that then he's an idiot." Taehyung says.

"D-do you really think so?" Jungkook asks and Taehyung nods.

"He doesn't deserve you if he just let you go so easily. And he doesn't deserve your tears." Taehyung says.

"He answered my FaceTime that night Tae; he heard everything that we did." Jungkook says softly, pulling away from the older boy.

"I don't regret what happened that night." Taehyung says gently but with a firm tone.

"I do." Jungkook replies, turning to put his things away.

In the months that followed, Jungkook learned a very important lesson: there was a major difference between choosing to be alone and finding yourself alone.

Everyone ignored him, but loved to whisper about him behind his back. The news of his and Jimin's break up spread like wildfire.

Apparently, Jimin already had a new boyfriend too, demonstrating how un-special Jungkook was and how easy it was to get over him.

Jungkook spent all of his time in his dorm now, keeping his head down and earbuds blasting whenever he had to go out.

Thankfully, it was the week of the finals so Jungkook didn't have to go out too much.

Taehyung was his only friend now and Jungkook had a newfound appreciation for the older boy. Taehyung made sure Jungkook was taken care of and he was grateful for that.

They no longer had "lessons" per say but Taehyung always found a way to give him little kisses on the top of his head or his forehead, and he still held him close whenever they watched Netflix together or ate or were just talking.

Jungkook also managed to get Hoseok and Yoongi to coincide peacefully with Taehyung- not that Taehyung ever had a problem with the two older boys.

After Jungkook told them everything that had happened, they agreed to give Taehyung a second chance and were acquaintances with him now.

That's how they found themselves sitting around Yoongi and Hoseok's living room, eating takeout from a nearby Japanese restaurant.

Yoongi was looking through their mail as the other three finished eating.

"Oh- we have to renew our lease soon. Unless you still wanted to try and look for a cheaper apartment?" He says as he looks at Hoseok.

"Nah, that's fine. We can just stay here." Hoseok replies.

"That reminds me," Taehyung suddenly says, looking to Jungkook. "The Housing deadline is coming up soon. I was wondering if...you'd like to be my roommate again Kook."

Jungkook looks at him. "Might as well. No one else will have me."

"You could always apply for Solo Housing." Hoseok suggests, making Taehyung frown slightly.

"No it's ok. I like rooming with Taehyung." Jungkook says, blushing slightly as the older boy pulls him close.

Yoongi takes his glasses off, rubbing his eyes as he sets the mail down.

"I'll be right back." He mumbles as he stands up, stretching as he heads to their bedroom at the back of the apartment.

"So, you know how graduation is next Thursday, the day before school lets out for the year? I want you to come to the ceremony and then us, you and Jin are going to go out to dinner afterwards." Hoseok says.

"Ok," Jungkook replies. "Do you want me to come here or just meet you at the thing?"

"We can meet there. I don't want to have to make you come all the way here just to go back." Hoseok says.

Taehyung listens to their conversation, trying not to feel too hurt at not being invited. He'll just have to find something to do that day while Jungkook's gone-

"Can Tae come along?" Jungkook asks a bit nervously.

Taehyung turns alittle red as Hoseok regards him with an unreadable expression on his face.

"Yeah that's fine," Hoseok says after a moment.ย  "Just don't mention anything to Jin or Yoongi. It's gonna be a surprise-"

Hoseok quickly shuts up as Yoongi walks back into the room, looking alittle confused as everyone stares at him.

"What?" Yoongi asks as he sits down.

"Nothing, nothing. We were just talking about our plans for summer break." Hoseok says.

"I'll be working. And you have summer classes right?" Yoongi says, nodding as Hoseok nods himself.

"I wanted to go to Paris or New York or even Italy, over winter break but I went to Jimin's parents house instead. I think I'll do that over the break." Jungkook says.

"Ooh that sounds like fun. I've always wanted to go to Paris." Hoseok says with a grin.

"Your going to travel by yourself? That seems a bit dangerous." Yoongi says.

Taehyung felt the exact same way but he kept quiet.

"Oh he'll be ok," Hoseok says easily. "Just remember to keep in touch."

"And be careful kid." Yoongi adds on.

"I will." Jungkook promises, a smile on his face.
