"I promise that one day I'll be around
I'll keep you safe
I'll keep you sound."
- Shawn Mendes

***

Comes out Martha still had something important in the morning. She had called very early, telling Frans that Marvel was on his way to mansion. Frans had ended the call and cursed the whole world. He hadn't gotten much sleep but when he did fall asleep, he was almost unable to wake up. This morning he had ignored all the threats Arabella had said and he wore sweats. Because after all, he had day off.

Now he was there, where he's been most of his time. The Modest office. Martha seemed happy, excited even. Frans was still annoyed of her, she had called 7AM telling him to get the hell up. Frans hated mornings like this.

The air in the office was thick with excitement but Frans couldn't bring himself to care, he just wanted to go back home and sink into his bed.
Martha was sitting in the office chair just like she was sitting there yesterday, working behind the laptop. But this time there was a sly smirk on her blood red lips. The glint of excitement -or was it happiness?- shone in her eyes.
This emotion caught Frans' interest, the woman was always like a computer, monotone and slept only when the work was done. So what kind of gold has she dug up now?

Timothy threw the door open, wide smile on his face. There was definitely something going on there, the young singer had just trouble figuring out what was making the two devils so happy.
Timothy's eyes fell on confused Frans, he frowned when he saw what the curly haired lad was wearing, but he ignored it. "Great! You've finally shown up!" He clapped his hands and beamed at Frans.

Oh it is all clear now. They have gotten some kind of deal which obviously brings in a lot of money to them, like they don't have it enought. Just like always, it's Frans who has to do something for the money. For the money they are craving for. The big question is, what is it he needs to do?

Timothy sat on an opposite chair from Martha, his eyes having a far away look in them. "Frans, we got an amazing chance and an opportunity for you!" He announced happily, snapping his eyes on the other young man. "We got an offer from Calvin Klein company, asking for you to be in their new commercial! Can you believe it? Your face will be all over the world and of course, it includes the photoshoot but no worries, they will pay for it and pay for us. Doesn't it sound just amazing?" He asked, and Frans was sure it wasn't even a question. What they though was amazing, he had to think it was amazing too.

It took a little time for the news to sink in, and when they did, Frans felt panic arise. He didn't even have this kind of body Calvin Klein models had! He can't do that! He is a singer, not a model! He even messes up his own album cover photoshoots, have they gone out of their minds?

"You're kidding, right?" he asked, looking at the duo weirdly, they must be kidding. And this joke is far from fun. "See Martha? I told you he would agree to it immediately! And no Frans, this here is your opportunity." Timothy said standing up. "Now take your shirt off."

He looked Timothy straight in the eyes, making sure he wasn't high or drunk. Well, he hasn't had alcohol or any kind of drugs. It's money messing with his sanity. "What?" Frans asked buzzled. He can take his own shirt off.

Timothy snorted and rolled his eyes, now he was pissed. There was no trace of the bloodlust there was before. Now he was angry at Frans, because the younger of the two was in his way to the money. "I said take your shirt off, the set will take place in two months time, which means you need to have a reasonable body. Now take your damn shirt off." He growled which made Frans flinch. He was indeed pissed.

Frans was angry and terrified all at the same time. That's what he hated most, the feeling of being trapped. Put behind the bars away like an animal in a zoo.
Tense, he took his oversized tee off. Immediately feeling the cool air on his bare skin. The stares made him cold, tense and uneasy.
He used to work out a lot, but as time passed, he no longer had time for that. In his opinion, he might look okay, but he knew very well that even his body wasn't enough for them. Nothing ever was.

Timothy snorted and threw himself on black leather armchair. Frans immediately pulled the tee back on, feeling judged. "You need a diet schedule of some sort, Martha will you write him one? He clearly needs more muscle and we only have two months!" Timothy massaged his temples like he was stressed out. Well, if Frans doesn't get more muscle then he will have no money from the Calvin Klein company.

Frans felt bad about his appearance now, he used to think it was okay, but he wasn't that sure anymore.
"Why? I think he looked okay." Martha frowned at Timothy who froze. Slowly, Timothy looked up, glaring at her. Martha glared back, closing her red laptop.

"You think this looked okay? Have you seen any Klein models, Martha?" Timothy said lowly. The temperature dropped fast in the office. All Frans wanted was to go away now. "Every fool knows how to photoshop, Tim." Martha hissed.

Frans slowly stood up, trying to be as invisible as possible. He had more problems than this here. He didn't need to see nor hear it.

"Where are you going?" Hand on a doorknob, Frans turned around. Eyeing the money thirsty pair, he managed a smile on his face. "Father comes home soon." After mentioning Harold, Timothy's and Martha's face went pale. With a small nod from Timothy, Frans left the office.

He pulled his hood over head and put sunglasses on, trying to stay invisible. To his surprise it worked rather well. The people in the hallway didn't give him much attention and he felt rebellious, excited even.

As he was sneaking around the gigantic building, making his way to the back exit, Marvel kept following him. Marvel felt annoyed because Frans actually thought he could get away so easily.

Before Frans could exit the huge building, his bodyguard placed his big hand on his shoulder, startling Frans. "You know, you're not very smart if you're trying to stay unnoticed while wearing your tour hoodie with a name tag, Frans." Marvel pointed out, annoyance and sarcasm tripping from his tone.
Frans just shrugged, smirking mischievously. "But others didn't notice me, so its all good." He said. "Maybe because they are too busy with setting up tonights Ed Sheerans concert." Marvel pointed out, Frans ignored him completely and the duo made their way to the black hummer.

The day was nice, some could say lovely even. Frans felt anxious about the family dinner but he decided to push anxiousness away and just enjoy his day off. The taste of freedom was sweet.

Frans turned the car radio on, trying to find some kind of interesting song. "Where to?" Marvel asked emotionlessly, glaring at the busy streets and the horrific traffic. "Energy caffee." Frans said smiling. He finally found a normal song. Something new by Taylor Swift, he wasn't sure what the songs name was, but he liked the beat of it.

Marvel snorted and changed the radio station, putting on some kind of Hunter Hayes' song. Party pooper. "Why there all the time? Their coffee tastes horrible and the place is small."
Frans couldn't help but chuckle at that. Sometimes Marvel reminded him more of a small boy who couldn't get what he wants rather than a grown up muscular bodyguard. "Exactly. Its small and why should I care about the coffee? I don't drink it, not my cup of tea." He just shrugged at that.

Marvel was clearly annoyed of him but Frans couldn't bring himself to care. He has day off and he can do whatever he wants. And right now, he wants to go to Energy Caffee.

The caffe was small but Frans loved it. There were many pictures on the walls, giving the caffee retro and grunge vibe. It was quite empty but it suited him just fine.

Pulling his hood closer to himself, he made his way to the cashier, Marvel following close behind. The woman behind the cashier was reading a book, she seemed to be so in the book that it amused Frans a little bit. He's never seen someone to find reading so intriguing.

Frans coughed to get her attention. It startled the woman and she dropped the book. Her brown eyes snapped on Frans, looking buzzled for a second. "Oh yeah, sorry I erm- sorry. What could I get to you?" She asked, faint blush covering her cheeks. Theas brown eyes tarted around the room, avoiding the curly headed boy.

"Thea?" Frans asked surprised, taking off his sunglasses. Thea's brown eyes met Frans' green ones. "Frans? What are you doing here?" She asked surprised, she seemed to be as surprised as Frans was. "I have a day off and decided to have a cup of coffee." He heard Marvel snort at that. "Well, not coffee, more like apple juice and a banana doughnut." He blushed, glaring at Marvel.

"Add two blueberry muffins and one espresso to the pill, Frans will pay anyways." With that, Marvel left the two to go and find a place to sit down. Frans blushed and looked down.
Why should he feel embarrassed?

"So you work here, huh?" He asked while watching how Thea made espresso for Marvel. "Uhm, yeah, I have school most of the time but you have to get money somehow." She smiled, giving Frans both apple juice and espresso.

She started plating doughnuts and muffins. "What are you studying?" Frans asked interested, he wish he'd gone to school like normal people. He's never experienced anything like that. He first got online lessons but now he just doesn't have time for that. After all, school is for people with no career. Yeah right.

"Photography at the moment, but I really wanted to be a model." She chuckled. "Why aren't you?" Frans asked. For him, she would be anything she wanted to. The whole world is still out there for her.
Thea sighed and together they walked to the table where Marvel was waiting. Marvel was leaning on the wall, his eyes on the blueberry muffins. "I'm not for that job." She blushed, placing the muffins and doughnut on the table.
Frans frowned. Why? She is beautiful, there's no question she could be an amazing model.

Frans sat opposite from Marvel, reaching out to Thea before she could go. "Why don't you join us?" He asked, offering her a smile. Thea took her hand away and stepped back. Looking down at her shoes. Frans realized that Thea was wearing a yellow summer dress. Oddly reminding him Belle from Beauty and The Beast. "I uh, have a long shift today, sorry, I really can't." She smiled apologetically.

"Its okay, next time then." Frans smiled and Thea nodded. She left and Frans focused back to Marvel who was scrolling through his phone.

Some odd way he liked the small caffee even more now.

"Want some coffee now?" Marvel asked, smirking teasingly at him. Frans rolled his eyes but glanced back at Thea who already had new customers.

Indeed he liked it more.
