"I've got fire for the heart
I'm not scared of the dark."
- One Direction

***

Frans dropped his smile as soon as the door closed. With annoyed growl he fell back on the couch he had been sitting on the whole day. It seemed that half of his time he's spending in studio, recording songs with people he'll probably never meet again. And the more he meets other artists the more it confuses him. Because they have the chance to write their own songs. But why can't he? Is he really that bad of a writer that management even won't consider it?

Frans groaned and clutched his stomach, he hasn't eaten whole day. He felt it taking a toll on him. As he pushed himself up, he got a little dizzy at first, but after a few short moments it was fine. He stood up and made his way to the door, opening it he was met with Marvel, his bodyguard. Marvel was taking his job pretty seriously, perhaps even too seriously. Yet, he wasn't surprised, after all, Marvel was chosen by management. "Where to, sir?" The bulky man asked, looking at him emotionlessly. "Somewhere to eat, let's go to this little Energy Caffee."Frans offered, not even bothering to smile at the guy who was his bodyguard.

Frans stomped past the man to the elevator. Marvel followed behind, he was hungry as well, this Austin guy who had been there really managed to piss Marvel off. One reason why Marvel was pissed was because Austin talked too much. And after every passing minute, Marvel noticed the way Frans' eyes filled with more confusion and anger.

Austin was yet again another young artist who hormonal teenagers just adored. But Austin's fame level didn't reach Frans'. So, the both management's had decided to sign a contract. Now all they would have to do is record another hit and both sides would get what they want. Austin would get more fame and Frans would have yet another big hit in the radio stations.

In the quiet elevator, Frans had drowned in his own thoughts, almost not aware of the muscular man. Suddenly he came up with an idea. "Marvel, could you do something for me?" He asked, eyeing the man who only rised an eyebrow. "Tommy was fired, maybe you'd find some new job for him? Thanks." With that he walked out of the small elevator, not waiting for an answer.

He groaned as he noticed the person waiting for him. He had forgotten all about what Fredrick had said. "You're late." Freddie hissed, glaring at his younger brother. "You're too early." Frans rolled his eyes. Freddie was glaring at him, what made him feel both, happy and sad. At one point, it was good because maybe after tonights events Freddie would leave him alone? Frans' just needed to piss off both Annie and Freddie. Yes! It was a perfect opportunity to anger the couple.
But... It meant there was no coming back.

"Marvel, could I take this rascal? We are supposed to have dinner at my place." Fredrick asked, and it annoyed Frans the way they talked about him like he was 10. He is 17 for heavens sake! "Sir, Frans has a performance tonight at 8. I'm sorry but I believe I can't let him." Marvel said, standing next to Frans, his hands behind his back.

"I'll drive him there myself, please Marvel." Damn Freddie. Give up already. "Just get him to Scarssons at 7 I believe that'd be the latest." What the heck Marvel?

Frans glared at Marvel, who to his surprise smirked. Smirked? Really? The world really hated Frans.

He almost stumbled when his brother offered him sunglasses. Frans only glared at his older brother, walking past him into the city air, his ears were filled with high pitched screams and he felt the excitement in the air. That was one of his favorite parts about his job. Meeting people who loved him.

Suddenly he was tackled in a hug by a young girl. Frans immediately wrapped his arms around the petite girl, whispering sweet nothings in her ear as she sobbed. She felt the shaking of her body as he slowly rubbed small circles on her back. He smiled at the people who were held back, wishing he could hug them all and somehow make all the bad disappear. He refused to let guards pull her away, she was pretty vulnerable in this state.

"Its okay now." He smiled and the girl pulled away, her teary eyes beaming at Frans'. She was trying to say something, but she was crying too hard, so Frans only smiled and offered her a signed paper.

Frans mentally rolled his eyes when the screaming got louder, which means his brother had only now followed him outside. Frans tensed when he felt guard trying to pull him away from the people he loved. He knew he had to go before it got out of hands. As he stepped away, he whispered sweet words in the girls ear "you're beautiful. Please stop." His fingers touched the scars under her sleeves and with that, Frans' was pulled away and pushed into his brand new car.

As the car took off, Frans closed his eyes, ignoring the presence of his brother sitting behind the steering wheel. For awhile there was dense silence between the brothers, it was awkward but Frans did his best to ignore it. Ignore his brother and the world around him.

"Frans?" His brothers smooth voice asked hesitantly, like trying to melt ice with a flicker of a flame. Frans said nothing, keeping his apple green eyes closed. He could feel his brother giving him glances, he was just very annoyed. Even though he had nothing against the upcoming dinner, he knew he was just going to ruin their night.

Freddie sighed and turned the radio on. Immediately the voice of a 13 years old kid rang thought the car. The voice was full of energy and excitement."- lightning, lightning
And its frightening, frightening
I don't even think, I'll be the same again
You're my princess, my gi-" Frans immediately turned the radio off. After four miserable years they still had this song on their radio. Can't they just use some Selena Gomez' new hit? Did they really had to put Frans' very first hit in the radio? After four years? Really?

He hated that song so much. That was the start of his musicians story. He was fuming, and he was glad his brother kept his mouth shut, even when his brown eyes looked over curiously.

Freddie frowned, he was confused and very curious. He glanced at his younger brother who just ignored him. He decided to leave him be. For now at least.

As the car drove through the big gates, they parked in front of a nice and cozy mansion. It looked nothing like the house Frans lived in. This here, looked cozy and the garden looked alive.
As Frans eyed nervously the mansion, he felt the tightness in his chest. He hated rudeness. Hated, hated, hated.

With a sigh he got out of the car. Following his brother to the house. As soon as he stepped through the door, he was met with a delicious, mouth watering smell of chicken pasta.

Young German Shepherd came running down the stairs, wagging his tail happily as he saw the two brothers. "Hey Oz." Freddie said, patting the dark dog. Frans ignored the dog, showing no emotion on his young face.

"Annie?" Freddie called, walking further in the house. Frans followed him, head down. He glared at Ozzie who looked at him curiously. "In the kitchen!"

Frans rolled his eyes when his brother took off, leaving him alone. Slowly -Ozzie on his heels- he made his way to the modern kitchen. Where his brother was hugging a small woman. His arms had snaked around her waist, his head resting on hers. She looked even shorter in Freddies' arms, Frans though, pushing his smile off his face as he remember what he had to do.

"Oh hey Frans! Glad you could make it!" The red headed woman stepped out of Freddie's arms and went up to hug Frans, who stood stiffly, trying not to smile. "Well, I can't stay for long. I've got job to do." He said cockily, pushing Annie off, taking a seat.

Annie raised an eyebrow, smiling a little. "Well, I'm glad because who the heck would want to spent time with a popstar on his period, eh?" She teased Frans, winking at him. Frans bit his lip and looked out of the window. Damn Annie, he had always enjoyed her teasing and fun personality. He was glad that Freddie had found such an okay woman for himself. And sometimes if he thought too much about it, he felt the envy in his heart growing. His brother had everything he had ever wanted. A nice house, a job he loved, a restaurant. A woman he was about to marry and on top of it all, a dog named Ozzie.

Why couldn't Frans have it like that?

As his gaze sadly rested on Ozzie, he failed to notice his brothers' worried eyes on him. Frans' was pulled out of his thoughts when a plate of hot pasta was placed in font of him.

Sorry Annie, sorry Freddie. He thought as he took fork. Taking a deep breath, he hid away all the emotions except annoyance.
