The long dining room table was set with an entire line of dishes down the middle. Sun-Hee was  directed to sit between Jimin and Hoseok. Yoongi sat next to Hoseok. Across from Sun-Hee was Namjoon and he sat between Tae and Jin. The food smelled so yummy and Sun-Hee was so ready to eat. As she sat down she had a full smile and  clapped her hands in front of her chest. Hoseok again was reminded of Jungkook. But instead of being jealous of the maknae as he had been earlier, this time he felt bad Jungkook couldn't be here to enjoy this dinner with them.

The boys started noisily dishing their plates. Talking, joking, and teasing each other as they repeatedly fought over bits of food. Sun-Hee carefully dished her plate, trying to stay out of the way of the food disputes. She took a bit of everything she could reach. Hoseok also placed some of the food she couldn't reach onto her plate. She smiled at him and he gave her a 10 star smile. She thought he should do ads for toothpaste since he was probably a model.

Yoongi came up behind Sun-Hee with a bowl of his soup and set it down next to her plate. She smiled up at him with gratitude and said "I'm going to start with this, thank you." She hungrily ate the whole bowl of soup while Yoongi passed bowls of soup to the other members. She looked at the bowl with the broth in the bottom and didn't want to waste it but was worried she would appear rude if she picked up her bowl and drank out of it.

She had an idea, "Yoongi, can I ask you a hypothetical question?"

He squinted his eyes a bit, like he didn't know where this was going, "Sure?"

"Hypothetically, if you were to have a guest over and they really loved your soup, would you prefer that they leave the tasty broth in the bottom of the bowl, essentially letting it go to waste or would you want that guest to put manners aside and drink the precious broth showing how much they liked it? Hypothetically." She wrinkled up her nose but kept her small smile with the last word.

Yoongi chuckled at her question. "If a hypothetical guest liked my soup enough to drink the broth then I would probably be willing to teach them to make it. Hypothetically." His eyes shining as he spoke.

"Yes! Win-win!" She pulled her fist down and by her side like she was celebrating a sports victory.

Most of the boys were having a beer with dinner but Sun-Hee drank water. She had just turned 21 and wasn't a big drinker. She also really hated the taste of beer. Tonight, with how tired she was, alcohol would have made her fall straight to sleep.

While everyone was eating and chatting, Sun-Hee turned to Jimin and asked about the group's ages. She knew respect to elders was very important in Korean culture. She told Jimin she was born in July 1996. Jimin explained that Jin was the oldest born in 92, Yoongi in 93, Hoseok and Namjoon in 94, and Tae and him in 95, "And then there is Jungkook who was born in 97."

"Jungkook?" Sun-Hee's eyes opened wide.

"Yes, he isn't here tonight. He is doing some community outreach at a hospital in Busan. He is helping to raise money for the children's ward. He will be back tomorrow night."

"You mean there are more of you?" Sun-Hee looked baffled.

"Just one more." Jimin nodded while he continued eating.

"Seven?"

"Yes, there are seven of us. Six of us here tonight and the one missing who is named Jungkook." Jimin looked amused that she would need this level of explanation for what he thought was a simple idea.

She looked up a little stunned at this new information. She looked across the table and saw Namjoon's eyes had a twinkle in them. He had heard her exchange with Jimin. With a chuckle and a raised eyebrow he said in perfect English, "The clown car apartment has one more devastatingly handsome man to torture you with."

Sun-Hee blushed to the roots of her hair. "You speak English."

"Yes, I do." The dimples made another appearance.

Sun-Hee avoided looking at Namjoon for a while so she could recover from her embarrassment. She looked at her plate for what she should eat next when a pair of chopsticks entered her vision. She looked up to find Jin standing and leaning across the table with a piece of steak hanging from his chopsticks right in front of her mouth. He had a bit of an intense look on his face. The implication was clear, so she opened her mouth and he popped the piece of steak in. The table had gotten all of a sudden unusually quiet. Sun-Hee frowned then closed her eyes, "Mmmmmm. Ohhhhh." After chewing and swallowing she sat there for a moment with her eyes closed. When she opened them was surprised to see all of them looking at her. But she found Jin's eyes and looked right into them. "That was my favorite. If that was available, I don't think I would choose anything else, ever. I need to know what that was."

Jin's face broke into a huge smile which made his natural good looks intensify. "Beef Bulgogi."

Sun-Hee took out her phone and typed it in. "I need to remember that one."

Jimin and Hoseok simultaneously presented her with bites next. She ate Jimin's first which made him say "HA!" and give Hoseok a 'so there' look. But she gushed just a little bit more about Hoseok's bite so he gave the same look back to Jimin.

Between Jin, Tae, Jimin, and Hoseok she didn't feed herself for the rest of the dinner. They all fed each other too, so it seemed like this was the way they normally ate. She wondered though if by feeding her they were giving her a sign that she was accepted. At one point she said "I feel like a baby bird with my momma birds feeding me!"

Namjoon said "Technically when birds feed their young they push their beak down the esophagus and deposit the food into the stomach." The whole table complained at this comment.

"Yah!"

"Hyung!"

"No, just no."

"Joonie! Why?!"

Sun-Hee laughed and covered her mouth with her hand, "Thank you for sharing that information with us Namjoon. I stand corrected, that is not how I feel. Blech!"

Namjoon looked at Sun-Hee with a small smile on his face which again showed his gorgeous dimples. She could see that he was doing mental calculations behind his eyes. There was a lot going on up in that head of his. "Sun-Hee, tell us about yourself."

"Oh, sure. What would you like to know?"

"Tell us about your family and how you can speak such good Korean."

"Well, I'm an only child. My father is American and has a gift for languages. He became fluent in a couple languages, one of which was Korean, while he was in college. He became one of several American ambassador to Korea and moved here when he was in his mid-twenties. He met my mother here in Seoul and they got married. Then he was given a promotion and they moved back to the states but he still spent several months out of each year here. Which is why he had the apartment I'm staying in now. Because my mother doesn't speak much English, we mainly speak Korean at home. My father taught me English as well so that I would succeed in school. I grew up in Washington DC. I can speak Korean but I can't read or write it."

Namjoon seemed very interested. His intense look at her continued, "And why have you come here now? Is it a vacation?" She was speaking to Namjoon but the others had quieted down and were listening.

"I attended my first three years of college at a school just outside Palo Alto, California." Namjoon had a look of surprise. But he was the only one to react so she suspected he was the only one that knew she was referring to Stanford.

"I had a bit of a rough year towards the end of my junior year and decided to do my last year abroad. So in about three weeks I start at Seoul University to finish my degrees."

Namjoon and Sun-Hee had both stopped eating and were paying attention only to each other. The rest of the men watched as the two got to know each other.

"And what are you getting your degree in?"

"Public Finance and International Business." Namjoon tried not to look as impressed as he was. She was studying two of the most difficult majors at Stanford University. This girl was smart.

"And I have a few minors as well."

"Oh, nice, what are your minors?"

"Statistics and Economics among others."

"There are others?"

"Well, I took some classes I was interested in and ended up minoring in some of those topics."

"And those are?"

"Poetry, and Art History."

Namjoon blinked several times. Could this girl get any more perfect? He felt like he should be looking for a hidden camera now. "Art History?"

"Yes, I've always had a dream of opening an art gallery. I'm not an artist myself but I just love viewing and studying art. I love paintings and drawings but I'm even more interested in three dimensional art: sculptures, blown glass, and modern art. I'm really hoping to visit as many of the museums and galleries in Seoul as I can. Do you have an interest in art?"

"Yes, I do." Was all Namjoon could say, he was so blown away by this girl.

"Oh, I would love to get some suggestions of places in Seoul where I could see good art. I mean, I don't want to be a bother to you, but if you could suggest a few to get me started I would really love that." She smiled at Namjoon and he felt like he might be falling a little bit in love with her.

To Sun-Hee's relief, Namjoon looked really excited by this task and he almost seemed like he was looking around for paper to start his list. "I would love to make a list for you. There is so much great art in Seoul. You are going to love it!"

Yoongi sang the main line from the Queen song 'Another One Bites the Dust'. After witnessing the ten minute conversation between Namjoon and Sun-Hee, the rest of the table knew exactly what Yoongi was referring to. They had watched Namjoon go from being extremely skeptical of Taehyung's guest to being impressed by her and really liking her.

Yoongi's song reminded Sun-Hee of the Weird Al Yankovick song 'Another One Rides The Bus.' Which reminded her of something else. She turned to Tae and pointed at him, "Hey! I saw something in town today that needs some explaining. I almost forgot until right now." She pulled out her phone and after scrolling back through her selca session with Hoseok she found what she was looking for. She held the phone out to Taehyung, "Explain yourself, young man."

Tae took the phone and gave a little nervous laugh and turned the phone for Namjoon to see. Namjoon raised his eyebrows and nodded his head, "Oh." The phone was passed around so everyone could see the picture of the bus stop in Seoul with Tae's face plastered all over it. Sun-Hee had seen the bus stop in town when she went for groceries and was so surprised to see the one person she had met in Seoul's picture at a bus stop.

Each man had their own different reaction to seeing the picture. Jin just laughed. Yoongi said "This will be an entertaining conversation." Hoseok just smiled.

But Jimin put Tae right on the spot. "Taehyung! What is your picture doing all over that bus stop?! Please explain yourself so we can understand what is going on here! Why would YOU, such a regular guy be featured on a bus stop. We all await your explanation!" Jimin was having a difficult time not laughing while he was grilling Tae about the picture.

They weren't explaining so Sun-Hee ventured a guess. "Your a model, aren't you? I can't read what the words say so I didn't know what you were advertising. I've thought you were a model since you did that sexy pose on my bed this afternoon."

After seeing the expressions around the table to her comment, she screamed, "No! It was innocent, I swear. He was helping me make the bed..."

"...which naturally turned into a sexy pose?" Jimin finished for her, waggling his eyebrows at her.

Sun-Hee was turning red now and her hands came up to hold her cheeks. She decided to put the pressure on someone else. "Tae, are you a model?"

Tae tried starting to explain several times then finally settled on, "No, not really, anyway. We make music."

"You're in a band?" Sun-Hee asked tentatively.

"Yes! Yes! We are a band." Tae nodded his head and smiled with that explanation.

"Wait, you just said 'we'. Does that mean you are all in the band?" Sun-Hee frowned a bit now. She had been so sure these men were models. Her brain was recalibrating.

"Yes, we are all in the, erm, band. Yeah." Tae wasn't as confident this time.

"Wow, that is pretty cool! So this picture is advertising your band?"

"Yeah, kind of..." His voice drifted off as Tae seemed done with the conversation.

"Oh wow, that is neat. What kind of music do you make? What instruments do you play?"

Jin pointed to Sun-Hee and asked, "Do you know BTS?" Then he winked and blew a kiss. The whole group protested at that.

"Yah!"

"Hyung, Stop!"

"Jin, why?!"

Namjoon just leaned forward a bit, closed his eyes and shook his head in disgust.

Sun-Hee had no idea what Jin asked her or why the boys were protesting so much. She just gave a cringey smile and shook her head slightly. "I'm not sure what that is."

They didn't answer any more of her questions and she really needed to get some sleep so she stood up and thanked everyone for their wonderful hospitality, to which she saw some guilty looks. She thanked the cooks for the lovely meal. She explained she was tired and should head to bed.

Tae jumped up and said he would walk her to her apartment. Sun-Hee didn't want to bother him so she told him that wasn't necessary. They made their way out to the living room while the rest stayed in the kitchen.

As soon as they were gone Namjoon leaned forward and loud whispered, "Is anyone at this table not in love with her?" No one objected. "That's what I thought."

Tae insisted on walking Sun-Hee down because he said he was sure she would get lost. She rolled her eyes at that. And Tae responded with, "Fine, you lead the way and we will see if you can find your way back. I'll only be there for support when you go the wrong way."

As they were just about to walk out the front door, Yoongi came with a few containers of the food. "For you, for tomorrow." he said as he held them out to her.

Sun-Hee's eyes lit up just like he'd hoped. But he got way more thanks than that. Sun-Hee threw her arms around Yoongi and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "You've discovered my love language! I'm not even going to be able to sleep tonight with the anticipation of eating this delicious food tomorrow. That was so nice of you!" She took the food with one hand but she still had the other arm wrapped around Yoongi's back.

Jin regretted not thinking of giving her left overs. That hug could have been his. But he didn't feel too bad because if her love language was food then he had a distinct advantage over the others.

Yoongi glowed in Sun-Hee's attention and he produced one of the most beautiful smiles she'd seen. Sun-Hee thought she would have to find ways of making that lovely gummy smile reappear. Yoongi patted her head and said, "Please get good sleep. I know this was a long day for you. You can come over any time and I will cook for you." All the boys were standing there with their mouths open in shock that Sun-Hee had won over Yoongi in one night. Yoongi glared at them and shook his head.

At Yoongi's invitation to stop by anytime, Sun-Hee warned, "You'd better be careful, too freely giving out invitations. I'm sure there will be a whole hot guy council meeting after I'm gone where my observations will be reviewed and my test scores will be compiled to determine if I'm ever allowed back. I can only hope that I live up to your high expectations." She ended with a big smile and a bow so they didn't feel too guilty with how they treated her. But their sheepish grins said differently.

Tae took the food from Sun-Hee in one hand and took her hand in the other. They made their way toward the door.

Once they were gone, all the boys sat down in the living room. It was very quiet while they each thought about the night. Then Jin turned to Namjoon, "What was she saying when she spoke fast in English?"

That question made Namjoon shake his head, "You will never guess!" and he laugh so hard he had tears in his eyes. The boys would not let it go. "Alright, I'll tell you if everyone helps clean-up." He had never had such willing helpers.
