The boys were practicing their dance for Fake Love. It wasn't easy because Namjoon was home with Sun-Hee. Someone had been gone from practice all week and trying to get the dance right was difficult with someone always missing. Not that they minded. They would much prefer that Sun-Hee had someone with her instead of practicing together.

Jungkook had been doing fine in practice but for the last half hour or so he had not been feeling well. He finally went to sit down, which was not like him. He usually pushed through the pain.

Manager Sejin came into the dance practice room looked around and walked over to where Jungkook was sitting. He sat down next to him and talked for a moment. All the boys saw Jungkook's hands come to his face as he sank to his knees off the chair and curled in to a ball with his forehead on the floor.

All the boys rushed to him. Jimin was there first with his arms around Jungkook rubbing his back. They looked to Manager Sejin for an explanation.

"Sorry to give you such bad news. Sun-Hee's been arrested. She has a warrant from the US. They are flying her back to the US tomorrow. She is in jail right now. Namjoon and Dal are on their way to the jail now. We are trying to get ahold of our lawyer to meet us there." Then Sejin kneeled down to Jungkook. "Jungkook can you get up and come with us."

Jungkook nodded and stood up but his tear stained face looked dazed. His mind was a blur of activity. He couldn't focus on any one thing with hundreds of thoughts going through his head at every moment. He now knew why he wasn't feeling well during practice. It was because Sun-Hee was in trouble.

---

When they entered the police station Namjoon ran to Jungkook and gave him a fierce hug. Namjoon was trying not to blame himself for letting Sun-Hee get arrested, he knew there was nothing he could have done to stop it. But he still felt like it happened on his watch and as the group's leader he felt he had let Jungkook down.

Most of the boys found chairs to sit in while they waited but Jungkook was pacing back and forth, unable to contain his nervous energy. Namjoon had moved to a corner of the waiting room and was alternating between standing and hopping up and down. Tae had been glommed on to someone since he had heard the news. It was Hobi in the car but now it was Jimin.

Yoongi and Jin had the same expression on their faces, as their minds were trying to process what was happening. They were serious, a little scared, and a little sick over the whole thing. It didn't help that Jungkook had practically chanted the whole car ride "It's going to be okay." They had tried talking to him to calm him down but he just kept going. It had worried them all.

The police station was chaotic. Apart from the regular activities that were going on, now there were ten extra people in the waiting room for Sun-Hee: Dal, Sejin, all the BTS members plus lawyer Min Sung. The lawyer had approached the counter and had been talking to the clerk for what seemed like way too long.

The lawyer finally came back to give his report. "She is still being processed. As soon as she is settled they will let me go back to talk to her. I should be able to get Jungkook back also because he is her soulmate. Let's hope they are reasonable about that. I can usually bring back one legal assistant to 'help' me. Who do we think should play that part?"

All the boys wanted to see Sun-Hee but they didn't think they should each go when the others couldn't. Jimin spoke up, "Are you sure we can't all go see her?"

Lawyer Min smiled nicely at Jimin. He had worked for Big Hit for several years and even though he didn't interact with the group members much, he knew how great they were. His legal dealings had mostly been defamation lawsuits and legal contracts. He had almost never had to get them out of difficulties they had made for themselves. "I'm sorry, that just isn't the way this works."

It was decided that Dal would go back as the 'legal assistant'. He had been working on investigating Tobi almost non-stop since the party.

Tae asked the lawyer, "What did they say she did? Why did they arrest her?"

No one believed Sun-Hee was capable of committing a crime. Especially one so serious as to be extradited. Everyone assumed her innocence. But there were, of course lingering doubts in the back of their minds. Did they really know her as well as they thought? They had only known her for a couple months.

Mr. Min answered Tae, "They haven't told me anything yet. All we know is what the arresting officers told Namjoon. That she was wanted for a crime in the US and they are extraditing her."

Namjoon took the mug shot of Sun-Hee out of his pocket, unfolded it, and handed it to the lawyer. The rest of the boys gathered around to see. The picture sobered everyone up. It was clearly a mug shot, just like from the American movies. And Sun-Hee looked terrible. She had been hurt, all scratched up and bruised. No one liked seeing a picture of her like that. And their minds ran wild with what she could have been through to look like this and then get arrested.

Jungkook took the paper and looked at it more closely. Jin saw Jungkook's tears falling and wetting the paper and he wrapped the Maknae in a tight hug. "Jungkook, we will fix this. We will help her. We won't rest until she is safe with us." Jungkook nodded.

An officer came to the waiting room then. "Anderson Sun-Hee's lawyer, follow me please." Then he turned to walk out, expecting the lawyer to follow along.

Mr. Min caught the officer's attention before he walked out. "Excuse me. I'm bringing my legal assistant also." The officer nodded. "And Ms. Anderson's soulmate."

The officer shook his head. "No soulmates. We are a jail, not a prison, we don't do soulmates."

Lawyer Min argued. "Section eighteen of the Soulmate Law clearly stipulates that anyone incarcerated is granted one hour every day with their soulmate. It does not make a distinction between jail and prison. It just says 'those who are incarcerated', which Sun-Hee clearly is."

The officer tightened his lips, "I'm going to say no for now, but I will speak to my Captain about it." Jungkook looked sick to his stomach, he was still in constant motion with his nervous energy. Jin still had an arm around him.

Much to everyone's relief the lawyer did not let up. "I'm sorry but we cannot wait. I need to know now, because if Sun-Hee's right to her soulmate is being denied, I need to file an injunction with the courts and they close in a couple hours. I'd hate to have to wake a judge up in the middle of the night but rest assured, I wouldn't hesitate."

The officer's mouth formed a line, he looked annoyed. He walked away into the offices. He came back about five minutes later and said, "Alright, I'll take the three of you back for about an hour. The rest of you need to go."

---

Sun-Hee sat in her cell by herself. She was wearing dark blue pair of cotton pants that were way too big for her. She suspected they were made in only one size because they had a long drawstring. The shirt fit her better, but it was still quite large. It was made of the same blue cotton and it had a button placard and two front pockets.

Earlier, in the police car ride she had started getting really scared. She had been worried about having a panic attack. But shortly after arriving at the station she got this odd sense of calm.

Why was she so calm? She should be freaking out right now. All her worries over the last week were realized. He had found her. She knew instantly when she saw the mug shot that it was Tobi. So why this sense of calm? Had reality not set in yet? Was she in denial?  If she was honest with herself she was worried more about Jungkook. She knew he would be freaking out right now. She wished she could be there to comfort him.

An officer came to her cell then and opened it. He turned her around and put handcuffs on her and led her down the hallway.

Sun-Hee tried to lighten the mood, "Back to the hand-cuffs again, huh? Guess I must be scarier looking than I realize." The officer had no reaction. "I've told you repeatedly I'm not a threat to you, I'm not going to fight." Nothing. "I guess I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you are required to put me in them and don't have a choice." Was that a flicker she saw in his face? Maybe not. None of the officers so far had been at all friendly.

He took her to a room and when he opened the door she saw Dal with a man in a suit and, "Jungkook!" She tried running to him but was pulled back by the handcuffs. "Ouch! Wow, okay. Not going to lie, that hurt."

Jungkook came right over while the officer took off the handcuffs. He looked terrible, he had been crying and he looked so worried. The officer left and Sun-Hee instantly brought her hands to Jungkook's cheeks. She brushed away his tears as she spoke, "It's okay, it will be okay. I promise I haven't done anything they can prosecute me for. This is all set up by him to get me back to the US. There is no way this is legal."

Jungkook was so visibly relieved to hear her words. But with that relief came more tears. Tears he had been holding in to be strong for her. He took her into his arms and hugged her as if his life depended on it. "I'm so glad. I was so worried they would take you from me. I didn't know what I would do."

Sun-Hee rubbed his back while he hugged her, "So you thought I might be a murderer huh? Nice to know you have so much faith in me." She giggled a bit.

Jungkook shook his head but smiled a bit, "I can't believe you can joke at the most inappropriate times." But inside he was so glad to see that her spirits were up. He had expected to find her an emotional mess. In fact it would have been much less surprising if she had been having a panic attack than lightly joking with him. He pulled back and looked at her face. "How are you doing so well with all of this?"

"I've been asking myself the same thing. I think it is partly because I know I'm not in it alone, I know you are all on my side and going to help me. But that doesn't explain why once I got here I just got an overwhelming sense of calm." Sun-Hee smiled.

Jungkook kissed her then and looked into her eyes. "I tried to send you messages. I closed my eyes and said 'It will be okay, everything will be okay' over and over. Do you think that helped?"

Sun-Hee's mouth opened, "Wow, I bet that was it. I didn't hear your words but my heart heard you speaking to me. That is amazing." She marveled at him.

The lawyer cleared his throat. "Ms. Anderson, my name is Min Sung. I am one of the lawyers that works for Big Hit. I've been assigned to your case. Please have a seat."

Sun-Hee moved over to the chair and waved to Dal on the way, "Hi Dal."

Dal's smile didn't reach his eyes. He was clearly stressed by this situation. "Hi Sun-Hee."

When Sun-Hee went to sit, Jungkook was already in the chair. He pulled her onto his lap. "We may only have an hour to soul bond until tomorrow. We can touch while you talk to the lawyer." He put his hands under her shirt and wrapped his arms around her middle for skin on skin contact. Then he rested his forehead on her neck.

The lawyer spoke first. "They have given me your file. It looks like you are wanted in Los Angeles County for breaking and entering a Beverly Hills residence, assault, and stalking charges. Why don't you tell me what happened? It would be best if you are honest because I'm only able to help you fully if I have the truth. My first question is, were you arrested in Los Angeles county back in May for these charges?"

Sun-Hee looked wary. "Yes, I was."
