Like every other day, my eyes shot open at exact 6:30 in the morning. After doing my morning routine, I got dressed in my usual outfit, jeans and top and made my way towards the dining table where Dad was busy in a phone call with someone.

"Yes. This Saturday! You can meet me in my office today." he said and cut the call, turning his attention to me.

"Are you free this Saturday? I have decided to host a small party for our acquaintances in this city." He told me, passing the French toaststo me.

"That's great. I don't have any test this week so I'll help you in all the arrangements." I chirped, excited on hearing the news.

"I have a meeting with an event planner today. You can join me after your school if you want." he suggested and I agreed immediately.

"Great." he added and passed me a smile, after which both of us engaged ourselves in eating.

After finishing my breakfast, I kissed Dad on his cheeks, picked up the car keys and hurried outwards. In the street, Adam was already trying to start his bike. The events of last night flashed in front of my eyes, the frustrated look in his eyes, the words that stopped right in his mouth, everything.

His eyes swayed to me when he heard me opening the car door, a wave of indifference coated his face and he turned his attention back to his bike. Without speaking, I slid inside my car and revved the engine. With same level of aloofness, I drove past him, not bothering to offer him a lift.

Parking the car in the parking lot, I watched as another car stopped by me and Emily came out. I stooped down and looked at the driver seat, which happened to be occupied by Damien. A smirk made its way to my lips as I raised my eyebrows at Emily.

"My car broke down." she whispered shyly, pulling her hair back from her face.

"Of course." I smiled, as we both linked our arms and made our way towards the locker room.

"Its nice. You and Damien. I ship it." I said, earning a whiny groan from her.

"He is just a friend." she countered as we both unlocked our lockers.

"Who is just a friend?" Sophia joined our conversation and stood between both of us. She was dressed in her cheerleaders uniform, probably because there was a football match coming up.

"Nobody! Damien!" Emily and I shouted respectively.

"Damien? The singer guy?" she asked and I nodded. "Ooh.. Me likey." she giggled and walked towards her locker.

After teasing Emily for a good fifteen minutes, all three of us trudged towards our respective class. Mrs. Cooper had already arrived so I silently took a free seat and pulled out my notebook.

"Here are your assignments from the last week." Mrs. Cooper started returning our essay and surprisingly, I got an A, even though I didn't actually prepare for it.

The rest of the day went pretty well too, without any interaction with Adam or Noah. After the school, I drove the car to Dad's office. I found his secretary on the first floor who guided me to his room where his meeting was going on, with a pretty woman. She looked like she was in her late thirties and unlike those women who threw themselves at my father, she was talking in a really professional tone.

"Dad!" I called his name and both heads turned to me. The woman had dark blonde hair, her face looked like Taylor Swift except she had green eyes.

"Ali! Meet Hazel Davis. She is one of the best event planners in New York." Dad introduced her to me. "And Miss. Davis, this is my daughter, Alicia."

The woman stood up to shake my hand and I noticed that her smile was really pretty. "Do you work with your Dad too?" she asked.

"No I don't. I am still a senior in Redwood High." I replied as both of us sat down.

"Really? My daughter Jade is a freshman in the same school." she told me and I nodded in acknowledgement.

After the introduction, Hazel started discussing her ideas with Dad. We first prepared the guest list, most of them were Dad's business partners, some were rivals. He even invited Justin's father, much to my dismal. Sophia was going out of town so I just added Emily and Noah in the list from the school.

"Should we invite Tiffany and Adam?" Dad asked and despite my hesitation, I nodded in positive.

After an hour of discussing all the arrangements, Hazel left but not before giving me her number, saying I should call her if I ever need an older friend to talk to.

"She's nice." I said after she left. "Is she single?" I raised my eyebrows suggestively.

"Don't go there Ali. She is happily married to a lawyer." Dad ruined my plans before I could play a cupid.

"Oh." I grieved. "Well, Won't you offer your daughter anything to eat? I'm hungry." I complained when my stomach grumbled a little.

"Make yourself comfortable. I'll ask Robert to order something for you." Saying this, Dad left for another meeting and I busied myself with the huge pile of magazines in his office.

...

After taking a shower, I tied my hair on top of my head with few tendrils framing my face and wrapped a white fluffy towel around my wet torso.

Entering into my room, I dried my hair with another dry towel and chucked it towards the couch. Looking into the mirror, I assessed my face for any new pimples and found none fortunately. After applying moisturizer on my face and arms, I pulled out my night dress and decided to change but not before closing the curtain. I don't think Adam would like a strip tease at this time of night.

While I was closing the window, the standing figure inside his room caught my attention. It had been so long since I watched him work out. He was doing squats, only a thin vest covering his upper body. My mouth gaped open as I watched him do his routine effortlessly.

Drops of sweat appeared on my forehead when he pulled the vest over his chest, leaving his drool-worthy chest and lickable abs bare for my eyes.

A strange feeling settled in the pit of my stomach as I imagined his strong hands roaming up and down my body. Funnily, he was the one exercising while I was the one getting pumped up for nothing.

Wait? Am I by any chance getting horny?

Probably because it's that time of the month again.

Or maybe because he is so damn fine.

But-

"Ehm." a cough caused me to jump up in surprise. Leaving my train of thoughts, I lifted my eyes and found Adam staring at me with blank face but there was a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"H.. Hi." I said breathlessly and when the wind blew past me, realization hit me that I was wearing nothing but a small, fluffy towel. Heat crept up my neck as his gaze zoomed in on my cleavage for a second, after which he shifted it back to my face.

"Old habits don't change so easily." he taunted, crossing his arms in front of his chest, every muscle of his arm contracted during that movement.

"I was just..." I had no idea how to complete the sentence.

"Observing the moon?" he tucked his face sidewards and asked.

"Y.. Yeah.. Exactly." I answered.

Not wanting to embarrass myself further, I pulled the curtains in front of the window and rested my back against the wall. Taking few deep breaths, I counted till twenty and waited for my heartbeat to slow down.

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't deny the fact that I was attracted to him. And not just to his body or appearance, I loved the aura of mystery around him, I loved the depth in his eyes, I loved how he showed as if he didn't care yet he was there for me whenever I needed, I loved how he held his head high despite knowing what people said behind his back.

I loved his arrogance, I loved his manliness, I loved his aloofness.

I loved his comebacks, I loved his sarcasm, and above all, I loved the fact that I was the only person who succeeded in making him blush.

I loved everything about him.

Maybe, just Maybe, I was falling for him.

There, I said it. I dropped the "F" bomb.

Shit!

Plus, do you remember who this event planner is? Anyone?

To those asking for Adam's POV, it will ruin the aura of mystery around him so I guess the story is better off without it.

But that doesn't mean there won't be one. Just wait.
