I sat crisscrossed on the table, delving my fork into my food. Helena ordered takeout from the closest restaurant. Staying at her place has blessed my tastebuds with the tastiest meals. Caden also brought over some fresh pastries from the bakeshop near his house.

It was Rafael, Caden, Pierre, Helena, Adrien and Ace and I. We all seemed to be at our best when stuffing our faces.

"Alright I got a connection," Caden notified, mouth full of donut.

Grant appeared on the screen, writing frantically on the transparent board.

"We hit a break though," He told us. I put my food down and got off the table with curiosity.

"This is all making sense," He murmured as he stared at the board in a trance like state.

"Hey buddy, care to share?" I called to him.

He spun around and walked toward the screen, taking a seat, "It's Deidra Sanders."

I frowned, "What?"

"That famous charity girl?" Ace questioned with confusion.

"As crazy as this sounds, Deidra Sanders is the missing x," He clarified. "She's not the angel everyone thinks she's is. She's going to kill the President."

I shook my head, "That doesn't make any se-"

"She's been an undercover Society Agent Grey," Grant interrupted with urgency laced in his tone. "This was all part of Vera's plan."

"That. Is clever I must say," Caden commented. 

"Where did you even get this information?" It was hard for me to wrap my head around this curveball.

Jett walked into the camera's eye, "That'd be thanks to me little sis."

I let out a joyous, relieved breath with a bright smile, "Jett. What-How-Whe-?"

"You can thank your friend. I've never seen him so fired up," He laid a firm hand on Grant's shoulder and he laughed.

"Grant I-"

"Don't thank me Rey it was nothin'," He shrugged a shoulder humbly. I laughed and my heart swelled with joy I couldn't seem to express enough.

"This is actually great," Helena chimed in. "Because while Xander and Kimber are here, you're Vera's new lapdog."

A series of chuckles circulated the room.

Jett shook his head in disapproval, "Yeaaah, I wouldn't say lapdog I'd sa-"

"No it's lapdog," Grant nodded vigorously, causing more snorts to erupt.

I spread out my arms in a welcoming gesture, "Welcome to the team big brother."

"Glad to be here," He shook his head, rolling his eyes playfully.

"I have an idea," Pierre regained our attention. "Now that we know that Diedra Sanders is set to assassinate the President. The only thing holding us back is that we don't know when Silver Protocol is set to take place."

"Oui . . ." Rafael followed.

"So what if we speed that process up ourselves?"

"What are you getting at?" I squinted.

"What if we start showing up on Society missions. Vera thinks that killing the criminals serves as good purpose for the people. But what if we show up on the scene as a united front and do it the right way, she's going to be . . . um," He snapped his fingers in search for a word.

"Mad?" Adrien attempted to help.

"No that's not it. It's a different American word," He shook his head.

"Pissed," I said flatly.

"Oui oui! Pissed," His thick accent tickled me.

"Then you think she'll do something rational like initiate Project X to end it all," Grant finished.

"Exactly," Pierre nodded.

The room went quiet as we all thought over the plan.

"Vera takes authority into her own hands with no regards to the law. She doesn't care who gets hurt or the innocent people who have suffered because of her mission plans," I spoke up.

"Sacrifice for the greater good as she always says," Jett added.

"Yeah that stupid catch phrase," I spat bitterly.

"Well if we do end up going with this plan, there's a mission coming up that you might wanna look into," Jett proposed. "Apparently this is a big mission because Xander is being called to the task force. While Vic, Dom and Kimber stay over there."

I surveyed the room in search for an answer to Jett's proposal. They exchanged glances before swiveling their heads from Jett to me.

"Let's do this," Pierre decided.

I smiled, "It's time to wage war my friends."
