Alexia was a true fighter, Gerard had seen it in her eyes when he first saw her when she was just five. Now, he was sure.

That may have something to do with the fact that she was a broken girl, she always had been, deep down. Broken girls blossom into great warriors, isn't that what people say?

Alexia may have hated the fact that she had to train with Gerard, but she took the best of it. She though Gerard had made her into a warrior; little did she know she had been one since the day she was born, she only needed someone to tell her that, to show her - not teach, guide.

"Your big first hunt tonight." Gerard spoke up, while entering the kitchen, "Are you excited?"

"Sure." Alexia lied, nodding.

Allison went in her car that day, she was happy to have her sister understanding what Gerard had to offer, it seemed good at her eyes. Only she didn't know Alexia was faking all of it.

When they got to school ground, Alexia reached for her phone, pressing the first name on her last sent messages and texting a new one. It was to Scott, telling him she had finally managed to do her part on the last train. She felt pretty proud of herself.

Soon enough, the Argent sisters found their friend, Lydia, next to their lockers. She was already smiling, and they all made their way to class.

Stiles was there, his eyes already wondering Alexia, weirdly. It wasn't the first time her friend did that, he had been doing that for the past two weeks, and she was starting to think maybe it would be better to ask him about it.

The teacher arrived, and that was also when Alexia's phone buzzed, so she reached for it, under her table. It was Scott, answering her, asking her to meet him after class.

A lot of people seemed to just sleep during class, but Alexia was actually a big fan of history, she had always been. So that was probably why it went by so fast.

Allison called her, when she was heading out of the classroom. She turned around, her hands already sweating just by thinking which other lie she would have to tell this time. It felt even more wrong having to lie about her meeting with Allison's ex-boyfriend; where they even exes? Alexia was very confused about that, to tell the truth.

"Where are you going, Lexi?"

"Ah, I'm not feeling very well." She faked a smile, "I'm going to the bathroom."

"Anything, call me." Allison smiled warmly, "See you later."

Alexia had to pretend to enter the wc, and only when she couldn't see her sister in the hallway, she turned around and made her way to the library. She entered the silent room, her eyes quickly scanning the place, looking for the cameras.

She was walking around, looking for Scott in the middle of the self, when a hand wrapped around her wrist, pushing her to one corner. She didn't feel that scared, she knew it was Scott.

"Sorry." He apologized, that sweet smile of his dacing on his face, "I didn't mean to scare you."

"You didn't actually." Alexia chuckled slightly, her face then becoming more serious, "Did you read my text?"

"Yeah, I knew you could do it." Scott smiled proudly at her, "Now we just have to wait."

"I hate waiting." She pressed her back against the books.

He stepped closer to her, "I'm sorry you had to train with him."

"I just... I just want to save everyone." With that, Alexia remembered Gerard's words that morning, "Gerard told me something this morning... I..." She swallowed, "I'm having my first hunt tonight."

"You are?" Scott seemed surprised, that had been something neither of them had thought would actually happen, "You have to go?"

"I can't turn down now, Scott." Alexia shook her head, feeling sorry, "But I don't wanna hurt anyone."

"What if..." He looked down into her eyes, "What if you have to? Is it worth everything we're doing?"

"I really hope so."

Alexia looked down at her hands, a moment of silent falling upon them. Scott doesn't thought it through, he just grabbed her hand. Her eyes met his, looking at him in confusion.

Scott stated then, now too close to her, "Be careful."

"I know I'm getting pretty good with the daggers, but I intend to not hurt anyone." She let him know, her voice with a slight drop of humor; she was trying not to think of how close they were.

Scott's grip on her hand thightened, Alexia's heart began to hammer in her chest. What was that with her and getting all nervous around Scott lately? He was her sister's ex-boyfriend, or boyfriend. Alexia couldn't just start liking him. We're just friends, she tried to convince herself.

"I was talking about you." He told her, and she realized he was too serious about it, "I don't want you getting hurt, Lexi."

When Alexia spoke, her voice was merely a whisper, "I will be... careful."

And with that, Scott took off, not saying anything else. Alexia watched as he walked out of the library, letting out a frustated sigh, realizing she didn't say it back.

Alexia decided to stay in the library, at least she wouldn't have to be with Allison, and lie her ass off. She thought she would be alone, studying, thinking, until Stiles showed up.

"What are you doing here?" She frowned, "I thought you were allergic to the library."

"Very funny." Stiles replied, and sat down next to her, eyeing what she was doing, "How do you even do those? They are so hard."

"Did you even read it?" Alexia asked him.

"I, actually, did."

"Well," She chuckled, "not every one of us spends history classes sleeping."

"W-What?!" Stiles spoke up, like he was very offended, "I was not sleeping!"

"Oh, yes you were." Alexia accused, amused, "You were even drooling on the table."

"Whatever." He rolled his eyes, laughing it off; and then his face became serious, and Lexi realized they were finally going to have that talk she had been mean to have with him, "What is that thing about you trainning with Gerard?"

"Oh," Alexia faced, "that's why you've been accusing me with your eyes for a week? Couldn't you have... like... asked?"

"I'm asking now." Stiles crossed his arms over his chest, trying to look very mad.

She sighed, chuckling slightly too, and then her face became serious too, "I'm a hunter now, Stiles. And I am so not talking about it with you."

"What do you mean hunter?! What about Erica, Isaac!" He pratically shouted at her, only making her feel worse, "For god's sake, Lexi, what about Scott?! You two have been so close lately I actually thought you were dating! What-."

"Stiles!" Alexia stopped him, a hand covering his mouth; he seemed pretty angry, but anyway... it was just Stiles. When she let go of him, she answered him, "I'm not dating Scott."

"That was like the only thing you heard?" Stiles replied, annoyed.

"It's just..." She sighed, "It's not what you're thinking."

"Well what I'm thinking is that Scott, Isaac and I are like your best friends ever." He reminded her, something she already knew, and added, "Isaac obviously likes you..."

Yeah, Alexia was pretty sure Isaac didn't like her. Sure, they had some pretty hot make out sessions during the previous week, he was a great kisser. But it had just happened, like four times, a thing of the moment. Like stress kissing. It wasn't a real thing.

"I'm not hunting you." Alexia stated the obvious.

"What about your other friends, Lexi?"

Stiles, the way he said it, made her look like a terrible person. For a split second, Alexia believed it, she actually believed it, that she was just another monster Gerard had created and forced into the world to do his dirty job.

Alexia swallowed her tears, and lied one more time, well it wasn't really a lie, but she wished it was, "Being a hunter is in my blood, Stiles."

She grabbed her stuff, stood up and was ready to walk away, when Stiles' voice, who refused to believe such words leaving her mouth, spoke up.

"Being a guardian is in your blood, Lexi. Not being a hunter. I have no idea what Gerard got into your head, but you're a guardian, not this."

While walking away, she felt a tear run down her face. It wasn't because Stiles' had been too harsh, no, it was because she needed to hear that.

Alexia was feeling defeated, beat up and down, feeling like she hadn't done anything, not enough, that the most important things couldn't be built with her hands. But Stiles spoke up, it was like he was telling her she was still the brightest damn thing he had ever seen.

"Alexia?" Allison tried calling her attention one more time, "Are you listening?"

"Sorry, what?"

They had just got home, and Alexia had just turned her back and walked the stairs, when her sister stopped her, trying to call her attention.

"Do you want me to drive you to the Lacrosse game tonight?"

"Sure." She shrugged, and walked to her room.

Before the game, Alexia would have to face a greater demon. And she was afraid it would be not Gerard, or werewolves. It was her. Alexia would face herself that night, and what she was willing to sacrifice to end Gerard and his legacy.

They had one hour to catch a werewolf. They were in the middle of the hoods. If had been a couple of weeks ago, Alexia would be probably terrified, but now she had two daggers in her hands, and a fearless look on her face.

But then she became scared. When Allison managed to catch two werewolves. Alexia prayed it wasn't someone she knew, but of course her prayers were never answered.

"No..." It was Erica and Boyd standing in front of her, and she stepped back, "No, no..."

Erica's eyes widened, fear in her eyes, confusion, "Lexi?"

"Don't give up now." Allison grabbed her arm, hurting her a little, and she turned to face her sister, begging her not to do it, "We have to."

"But that's..."

"Do it, Lexi." The raiven-haired girl ordered, "Do it now."

Alexia's conversation with Scott crossed her mind, and she could only imagine Scott's disappointed face. She could hear his accusative voice, and it hurt. But all it took was another glance at Allison, and in that moment she wanted nothing more than to save her sister.

Family bonds give us a big power. But we also have to accept what comes with it. It gives us the responsability of loving unconditionately. Without a why. We can never refuse that bond, even when it is tested. The bond gives us strength. Without that power, we have nothing.

So Alexia faced Boyd, cause' she was unable to face Erica, but her words were to both, "I'm sorry."

"Run." Erica shouted to Boyd, and he tried.

"Don't let him!" Allison told her.

Alexia took a deep breath, her eyes on Boyd's body running into the hoods, then she threw her dagger. It went too fast for him to take cover, and it was to well aimed for her to miss his body. Boyd fell on the ground, roaring.

Erica was taken down right after, by Allison. Arrows all over her body. Alexia looked away, couldn't bear to face who they were now - Allison and her, weapons. Gerard's weapons.

Allison reached for her phone, "Grandpa?" And she smiled widely, "We have two."

They had time to go home to deliver them. It was clear Gerard was proud, he was probably the only one. Of course Allison seemed pretty proud of herself too, but Alexia was just ashamed.

Alexia ran to her room to change into her Lacrosse equiptment as soon as she could, tears already filling her eyes. Her hands were shaking, when she reached for her phone on the top of her desk. She called Scott, hoping he wouldn't hate her.

"Lexi?" His voice sounded sweet at first, "Are you ok?"

"Scott," She breathed out, and took a step closer to the mirror, trying to recognize herself, "I'm sorry."

"What's wrong?" Scott asked, starting to get worried, then he guessed, "If you had to do something, it's ok. I understand." She didn't answer, "Lexi, do you hear me? It's ok."

"We got Erica and Boyd. It's not ok, Scott!" Alexia panicked, "There's nothing I can do!"

"We'll figure something out!" He promised, "I know you had to do it, I get it."

The call ended soon after, right after Scott whispered in her hear I don't hate you, Lexi, god, I could never hate you. Alexia wanted to believe it, she wanted to believe so hard, but the blood was on her hands, and even tho Scott didn't hate, she did; she hated herself.

Allison drove her sister to the game, and Gerard thought it would be a good idea to go as well. That was his school, that's what he thought. Alexia hated how he thought so high of himself, like he owned the entire world. And she couldn't wait to see him crumble.

The game started short after, and she was already worried. Isaac was there, knocking every single player down so Scott could play. Anyway, Stiles and Alexia had been the only ones scoring in that game, seeing half the team had just gone missing, including Scott and Isaac at some point; Coach was pretty proud of them, at least it sounded proud.

When the game ended, screams were heard. But when Alexia took off her helmet, she realized it weren't happy ones. She quickly ran to the spot, where everyone was gathering on the field.

Alexia looked down, recognizing Jackson, "Holy crap, no..." She kneeled down next to him, she wanted to know if he was dead, god, she didn't want him to be dead, "Jackson?!"

Finstock finally screams, "Someone call an ambulance!"

"I..." She looked around, her hands shaking, "Someone!" Lexi looked down at Jackson one more time, "Jackson, please, come on! We're faking trying to save your ass, you can't die!"

Melissa pushed her way towards the center of the crowd, recognizing the girl shaking Jackson's body, and crouched down next to them, shouting about her being a nurse.

"Please," Alexia looked to Scott's mother, her hands shaking so much, she can't stay still, "please save him."

Melissa placed her ear next to his chest to check for a heart beat, but sensed nothing. No heart beat, nothing at all. She felt sorry, she couldn't even bring herself to look at Alexia.

Scott rushed through the crowd, now finally seeing Alexia too and his mother. His eyes widened. Isaac was standing by his side, both looked at each other.

"Alexia is gonna pass out too if we don't take her out of there." Isaac warned the werewolf next to him, "We gotta-."

Before he finished, Scott was already walking up to Lexi. Melissa looked up in that exact same time, ready to give her diagnosis for Jackson, her eyes only on Alexia.

"He's not breathing. He doesn't have a pulse."

Scott finally reached for Alexia, his arm wrapped around her waist. She saw him, and tried to fight back.

"We have to help him, Scott." She managed to turn to face him, "We have to..."

"We are," Scott was now holding her face under Isaac's confused eyes, "but there's nothing you can do now."

Lydia's sobs called Alexia's attention, and it was the first time she noticed her friend. Melissa did too, calling her to help her. Scott's mom pulled up Jackson's jersy, ready to start CPR, only to find a series of bloody cuts on his stomach. Ones that only claws could leave.

Scott was still holding Alexia to his chest, when she let out a cry. It was a weird sound, and it crushed Scott's heart, making him only hold into her more.

"He did that to himself." Lexi breathed out, shocked at the view.

Melissa began performing the CPR on Jackson in an attempt to save his life. Alexia didn't mean to, but her hands were holding into Scott's jersey, his arms wrapped around her body.

Isaac approached them, his hand resting on Alexia's shoulder. He could feel her shake under his touch.

Alexia's mind was just on the fact that Jackson could die. She knew the supernatural world was tough, but they were just teenagers. Teenagers feel as though they are invincible, just like Alexia thought, that nothing would ever touch her and her friends, but what if she was wrong? Jackson was dying.

And then something else happened, something that almost threw Alexia to the end of the pit. She almsot was the one crumbling that night, instead of Gerard.

Stilinski's voice shouted, "Stiles? Where's Stiles!?" He noticed his son's friends and approached them, "Have you seen Stiles?" They all shook their heads, too in shock to say anything, "Where the hell is my son?!"
