Again she didn't come to school.

Come on Lia, is this just how she
avoids problems?

"Maybe she just didn't feel like coming to school." Alex shrugged and sat next to me on the school steps before class started.

"Bullshit, if Lia didn't feel like coming to school then she would have called me and asked me to skip with her, she never stays home by herself." I said.

"Come on maybe she just wanted one day to herself, unless you two got into another fight again yesterday."

"No we didn't fight, my mom just walked in on me sitting on Lia's lap and kissing her in my room." I said embarrassed.

As everyone began to walk inside the building before the first bell rang so Alex and I decided to get up and head to our first period class.

"Well if she isn't answering her phone I guess we can figure out where she is at lunch." Alex shrugged his shoulders.

I sighed as I realized Ill be alone in class until after lunch, looks like today is going to be a unproductive day to think about Lia. I walked to my first period class and sat in my usual seat which was next to Lia, unfortunately she wasn't in school. Something about her not coming to school didn't feel right, we didn't have a fight and she didn't have her MMA practice today. Something about this wasn't right, hopefully Abigail was here in school so I could talk to her about Lia.

The moment my teacher began giving a lecture I immediately zoned her out, I really didn't care for school I honestly got good grades because I paid attention for Lia, she never cared so of course I had to make sure my best friend or whatever we are now didn't fail her classes.

I quickly rushed to the cafeteria to meet up with Alex, there enough was Alex sitting with Amelia. I wasn't really sure how I felt about Alex being so close with Amelia all of a sudden after constantly saying how much he loved Abigail, I don't mean to call him names but he's kind of not proving his point about not being a whore.

"Hey I've been texting Lia's phone all day, have you heard from her?" I asked Alex, interrupting their conversation.

"No, I tried messaging her too, I didn't even get a hateful message from her today." He shrugged his shoulders.

"Hello Clarity, hope you're feeling well today." Amelia smiled at me.

"I'm great, Alex can I talk to you in private outside?" I asked, he nodded his head and then looked at Amelia.

"It's fine take your time, I have plenty of homework and things I should be studying, Ill have more time at home to help clean if I do it now." She grinned at us.

That girl was something else.

I grabbed Alex's hand and pulled him outside until we were away from everyone.

"What's going on with you and Amelia?" I questioned him.

"Nothing why?" He seemed puzzled.

"Are you sure it's nothing because lately you two have been really close, if you're playing her or playing Abigail I swear Alex-"

He interrupted me by chuckled which made me furious.

"Your name shouldn't be Clarity honestly." He chuckled.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I questioned him.

"Clarity you are so quick to assume and judge its honestly frustrating, there is nothing going on with Amelia and I, she is a friend, you and Lia are cool but you both have such a problem judging me that I give up on talking to you. If you haven't noticed but Amelia is an amazing listener and she hasn't judged me, she's only truthful. Im not joking when I say I love Abby and if you won't see that then I don't care." He turned away from me.

I honestly didn't know what to say.

"Alex-"

"Clarity to be honest I don't really care what you have to say about me right now, all you and Lia are gonna do is judge me and Im sick of it, yes Ive done a couple bad things in the past and maybe hurt someone, yes I am sort of a big flirt but that doesn't make me a whore, I try so hard to change and I finally find someone who understands me but you continue to judge me and don't see my point of view. Now I find a friend who listens and you think I'm doing something with her, yes Amelia and sweet and unique but I don't want her." Alex said angrily.

"Alex I'm so-"

Just then his phone began to go off in his pocket.

"Im sorry to interrupt you this time I don't mean to but I have to take this." He said apologetically.

Even when he's angry he still is polite.

"Hello, I'm sorry Ive been ignoring you I just-" He stopped talking and immediately fear washed across his face.

"Oh my gosh what happened is she okay?" He said quickly.

He began pacing back and forth nervously, obviously frustrated.

"Okay what's the address Ill come right now...honestly fuck school she's more important!" Alex yelled.

"Im sorry for yelling." He quickly whispered into the phone.

He hung up the phone and began jogging toward the school parking lot.

"Wait wait Alex what happened?" I said trying to catch up to him.

"We have to get to the hospital fast." He said hurriedly.

"We can't just skip school Alex!" I shouted at him.

"Clarity what's more important, Lia or fucking school?!" He pulled out his car keys to unlock his car.

I felt a chill run throughout my blood. That was why Lia wasn't in school, that's why she hasn't been answering my messages. She was in the hospital. A thousand questions began running through my mind.

What happened?

Was she alright?

Was it major?

My big question was if it was a accident or not.

"Clarity Winters get in the car!" Alex yelled at me again.

I scrambled around to get in the car and as I did, Alex immediately took off.

I had a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach that Lia wasn't in the hospital for a cold. I hope that she was going to be alright.

"Who was that on the phone?" I asked Alex even though I already knew the answer.

"Abigail is in the hospital with Lia. She said she isn't doing so great." He said.

His face looked calm and collected but I knew even though he and Lia were fighting, he still cared about her.
