I could never understand civics or maybe I just didn't understand because I never paid attention because I didn't care, I only cared about the classes I was in with Lia because I actually had to pay attention to help her out.

I sat in the second to last row in the classroom doodling in my book because I honestly didn't care.

I felt a ball of paper bounce off of my shoulder so when I went to glare at the person I seen none other than Alex Miller waving at me with a goofy grin.

He pointed to the empty seat next to him so I quickly gathered my stuff and plopped down next to Alex who happened to be two seats away from Nathan my ex but I ignored that.

"I didn't actually think you were going to sit next to me." He whispered.

"Well why did you call me over to sit next to you?" I whispered back.

"I don't have anyone to talk to in this class but now I know you." He grinned at me.

I didn't know Alex much but he seemed like less of an asshole and less of a whore compared to the rest of Lia's group.

He was actually kind of adorable.

He was really tall compared to me and had a short under cut. He had a smile that made every girls heart flutter when they seen it. Of course he was gorgeous so he hung up with Lia's group they all are but personality wise he didn't seem to fit.

"You hardly know me." I rolled my eyes and sat back.

"I know your name is Clarity and that Lia is your best friend, isn't that good enough?" He smiled at me.

"Oh I don't think so, but that's very good information." I couldn't help but smile.

He leaned toward me until he was close to my face as if he were about to kiss me so I thought panicked for a moment.

"Relax I was just letting you know you have a few jealous eyes on you." He whispered to me.

I turned around and noticed a few girls glaring at me with jealousy burning in their eyes.

Great that's just what I need, along with not having any friends I definetly need people hating me.

"What did I do to them?" I asked.

"Oh come on you're sitting here talking to me so they are making assumptions, I don't talk to anyone outside of my group people they all try to tie me down, I don't wanna get tied down yet." He shrugged.

"Why don't you wanna be tied down?"

"Most girls that like me are all the same, I look at any other girls, I can't talk to them, they have to be where I am all the time, they want gifts from me all the time they just act like brats and fake. I want someone real. Someone I can play video games with an goof around with and cuddle with and things of that sort." He slightly blushed.

"Aw isn't that sweet, you're a cutie pie." I giggled.

"What about you, I know you don't talk to many people and you've had some recent relationship problems." He looked over at Nathan and turned back.

"Looking into getting in another relationship?" He asked.

"Im not sure I do think I have feelings for someone but I'm confused because I've never felt this way before and I'm just scared she'll hurt me or I'll hurt her." I said quietly.

He looked at me for a moment and studied my face for a second.

"She feels the same way but she's willing to take that chance to be with you." He finally said.

I looked up at him with wide eyes realizing what I said.

"Come on Clarity out of all those people at the table who do you think she trust the most besides you? Justin is a Dick head, Maddeline can be a bitch sometimes, Matt and Kyle are cool but don't deal with feelings, Damien is usually busy with Amelia and Asha is more of a toy to her." He explained.

The bell and all the kids rushed out of the classroom besides Alex and I who took our time.

As I looked over Alex shoulder I noticed Nathan glare at us and quickly walked away.

"So she talks to you a lot?" I asked as I gathered my belongings and we walked out the classroom.

"Yeah I guess you can say that." He shrugged.

"Great she even has back up best friends." I rolled my eyes.

"Oh please we didn't meet on good terms, ours moms actually tried to get us together but we weren't interested in each other, I was interested in someone else." He scratched the back of his neck as we reached my locker.

"Who?"

"Abigail Summers."

I stopped and looked at him with surprise.

"Woah she's in 10th grade, and she has a boyfriend, plus Lia doesn't want any of her friends talking to her sister. Alex you're sweet and all but you do have a bit of a whore reputation." I stated.

"You just love the word whore don't you." He chuckled.

"I'm sorry."

"No it's fine I know I do, I just- it's fine." He smiled.

"Well I have to get to class." I smiled at him and turned away.

We turned our separate ways and walked to class. I kind of wished he was in my class just so I could have someone to talk to.
