Mayo reminded me every day with the message, 'Make sure you update. I don't wanna die since you swore on my life.'
Reason why it was delayed because it is a LONG chapter. So that makes up for it.
Comment any questions you wanna ask, me or Mayo.
Enjoy
Btw, I NEED SHIP NAMES FOR TYLER AND ARIELLA
"So, where are we going?" I asked as he stopped the car. I grabbed my small purse.
"You'll see." Peering out of the window, my eyes met with a helicopter, then widening at the sight. It was black, quite small with the gang sign carved onto the tail.
"A helicopter? Why the mayo would we need a helicopter?" I questioned, as he helped me into the passenger seat before getting into the pilot seat.
"Well, we are going to New Orleans."
"Ok."
He turned his head slightly, before starting the helicopter. "That's it?! Ok?! That's all you are gonna say after I told you that we were visiting the one place you've always wanted to go because of that stupid vampire show."
I glared at him after looking down over the city we were now above. "Hey, don't diss The Originals. The Mikaelson's will come for you if you disrespect them. Especially Klaus. I mean-"
He cut me off. "Well, I was expecting a more excited reaction," he mumbled, setting off on course. According to Siri, it would take us 25 minutes via helicopter. That gives me a clue to where I was staying-ish. One thing for sure was a long, long way from home.
"Well, I'm trying to play it cool, so I don't end up being responsible for our deaths. I am actually freaking out on the inside. I mean, there's so many places to go in such a small amount of time."
He chuckled, his eyes turning to me for a split second. "Don't worry, we would be staying there for a week. And that's why I brought this." Using one hand, he took out a stuffed animal from his chest pocket.
"Nutty!" I grabbed him, cuddling him close. "No wonder you had a lump around your chest area."
"Well, what else could it have been?" He asked, not taking his eyes off the view ahead of us.
"I don't know. At first, I thought you were finally maturing into the woman you are meant to be, and you were growing boo-"
"LA LA LA!" He blocked me out. "Just stop talking. Please stop talking." We erupted into laughter, making conversation for the rest of the journey.
-----------------------
"I can't believe I'm actually in New Orleans."
We reached a stop, and I took in the building in front of me. It was very fancy, and crowded-which wasn't really a good combination for me. Im not a fan of fancy dinners like this.
Tyler lead me inside, his arm wrapped tightly around my waist. We approached one of the waiters, Tyler telling him something in Italian.
"il nostro tavolo è pronto?" (Google translate: Is our table ready?)
The waiter nosed his head, making Tyler smile. Whilst I looked around, I saw a man, who looked about 25, staring at me. He sat by himself in the corner. I began to feel a little self conscious as his eyes raked my body. Tyler noticed, because they next I knew, he had grabbed the man by his collar, lifting him up.
"I suggest you stop staring at my girl unless you want to meet God a little earlier then planed. I know she is beautiful, but she isn't yours." He started to pull the man out, everyone staring at him. With one final shove, Tyler pushed him out of the restaurant. The man landed face down, and it sounded like it hurt. Everyone's eyes went to me.
"Come on principessa," he told me, leading me up the stairs at the back. I didn't say anything about what just happened a few seconds ago-out of embarrassment.
We finally reached what I guessed what was the roof, since the door in front of said 'Exit To Roof.'
Of course it would be the roof, if it had that sign on the door. Come on Ariella, how stupid can you get?
"Open the door," Tyler told me before I gave him a dirty look.
"Um, excuse me, but the gentlemen is supposed to open the door for the lady. Don't you have any manners." I raised an eyebrow, making him roll his eyes.
"per l'amor di Dio, open it." (GT: For god's sake)
Sighing, I pushed the door open, revealing a beautiful sight.
There, on the roof, was a round table, with two chairs either side of it. Stars seeped through the dark clouds, shining bright. A small table was hidden at the side, silver trays with those food cover domes on top. The whole roof was lit up by addictive-smelling candles, illuminating the roof. It was beautiful. I was speechless.
"Do you like it?" He asked as I stared at the view from the roof. The streets were unusually quiet-it was peaceful, which was something I needed right now. "I mean, you told me a few days back that you hated those cliche fancy dinners, and that you would rather go to Taco Bell them have a fancy dinner at an expensive restaurant. I chose this place because it had the best view, plus I own the place."
I turned back around, meeting Tyler's face. I held back my tears of happiness, not wanting to ruin how I looked. "You-you did all of this for me?" I asked, walking closer. Tyler took a few steps towards me too, so he was standing centimetres away from my face.
"For you, Ariella Decrola, I would do anything." He interlocked his fingers with mine, walking towards the table. "Because you are my girl, and nobody can change that."
A smile graced my lips, as he lead me to the chair, pulling it out and then pushing it in when I sat. He sat opposite, a huge smile on his face.
"So, for starters, I have breadsticks. After you ate the whole 6 packets in the course of 5 minutes, I got the idea you liked them." He got up, getting the box of breadsticks, handing 3 to me and keeping 5 for himself.
I raised a brow. "You think I'm on a diet?" Tyler shook his head, chuckling whilst giving me 2 of his. "Thank you."
The crunch of a breadstick filled my ears as it's dry taste satisfied my tastebuds.
"So......what do you want to be in the future." Tyler broke the silence between us.
I pondered for a moment, thinking about what he asked. What did I want to be?
"To be honest, I'm not sure. I focus more on the now, not worrying about the future. But now, when I think about it, I would want to work with children, or teenagers. Not as a teacher, but more as some sort of psychologist or therapist-someone who kids could talk to when they have a problem."
I let out a breath, eating another breadstick. Tyler's face showed pride and admiration as he looked at me, making me a little self conscious. "What about you? If you wasn't some gang leader, what would you want to be?"
The smile on his face fell a little, but I pretended that I didn't notice. "Well, when I was a child, my father would tell me that I would take over his gang, and achieve what he couldn't. But, that wasn't the life I wanted. This wasn't really the life I wanted."
I looked at him, smiling sadly. "I wanted to be an explorer.
I wanted to go to the Amazon, and find out incredible thins about the world we live in. I wanted to find out what new species were lurking in the ocean. I wanted to find out new
Facts about our worlds, and share it with the people of this earth. I wanted to be happy. But that dream slowly faded away as I was given this title. I'm ever wanted a life like this, but I had no choice. Now, I don't really give it a lot of thought."
He stopped, looking down, chuckling a little before looking at me. His voice held so much pain, it wanted to make me cry. "You probably think I'm some sort of wimp."
I shook my head, placing my hand on top of his, interlocking our hands. "No. I think you would have made a great explorer. I think that you did have a choice, but you were too scared to choose the life that would make you happy, or the life that would make your father happy."
He smiled at me, taking his hand away before walking over to the side table. He brought back 2 trays, placing one in front of me. Once he took of the lid, my nose was gifted with the scent of pasta.
"The world's finest Italian chicken pasta-made by Italy's finest chef," he presented. My eyes took in the bowl of heaven.
"Italy's finest? What did you do, bribe him?" I questioned, grabbing my fork.
"How could you even ask that?" He gasped. "I don't bribe people. You of all people should know that."
I laughed a little, taking in the dish once more.
"I threatened him, by saying if he didn't make the best pasta the world has to offer, I would make sure he would live the rest of his life in a coffin underneath the ground-alive. But of course he would die of suffocation but who cares."
My eyes widened, looking over at Tyler who sat back relaxed. "You WHAT?!"
"I'm kidding, take a joke."
Something told me it wasn't a joke, which I rolled my eyes.
Well, can't let it go to waste
I brought a forkful of the heavenly pasta into my mouth, the pasta making my tastebud's tingled. I threw my head back slightly, moaning at the taste.
"And here I thought you'd be doing that under different circumstances."
I nearly spat the food out, as my eyes were as big as tennis balls. Once I swallowed, I glared at him.
"Keep it PG. There could be people listening in.....or reading our life as if it was a story."
He looked at me weirdly, before taking a bite of his pasta. We laughed and talked about small things, like our childhood, other dreams, what we liked and what we hated.
I glanced at his watch, which told me it was 11:50. I was just finishing off my cheesecake, with a tub of Ben and Jerry's cookie dough ice cream. Tyler had Ben and Jeryy's chocolate brownie ice cream. Every time Tyler would try take a spoon of cookie dough, I'd slap his and
with my spoon-hard. He'd pull his hand away, looking at me with feigned sadness.
"Come on, I want to show you something." Me being a good mannered person, wiped my face with a making before following him to edge of the rooftop. I looked over the city of New Orleans, the breeze blowing my hair a little. It was quiet, much different to how it is show in The Originals. But right now, it was perfect.
"I wanted to give you this." He took out something from behind a box, my eyes glistening with excitement.
It was a Sky lantern.
The one that was in one of my most favourite movies: Tangled.
"This....is it actually...." I trailed off, admiring the lantern. It looked like a replica of Rapunzel's in Tangled. Except this one had the initials AD and TD, on either side of the pattern.
"That D is not for Decrola," he whispered in my ear, making my heart skip a beat.
Tyler grabbed a lighter, and slowly placed my hand on the lighter first before placing his on top. He clicked the button, lighting the lantern.
And then, it began to rise.
I put the lighter down, not taking my eyes off the lantern. It was beautiful. Silently, I leant against Tyler's chest, his arms wrapped around my waist as we both watched the lantern.
It rose high, illuminating the cloudy sky. And soon, it disappeared into the clouds, only a small bright light to be seen. It blended in with the stars.
"I'm sorry for everything I've done. And I'm sorry that you have suffered a lot in your life."
I sighed, turning around to meet Tyler. My arms wrapped around his neck, as he kept his on my waist. We swayed slightly, staring into each other's eyes.
It was perfect.
Everything bad that had happened in my life, I pushed away, focusing on this moment.
It was perfect.
It had been a few minutes, us staying like this. Until I felt Tyler's body stiffen, his eyes narrowing slightly, worry washing into them.
My small smile had vanished. "What's wrong?"
"We need to go. Now!" The urgently in his Italian tone made me anxious and scared.
"What? Why?"
He grabbed my arm tightly, dragging me towards the roof door. But before we even reached it, the for burst open, men running on the roof. They were dressed in heavy bulletproof armour, with helmets and guns.
Tyler stopped, taking steps back with me along him.
Quickly, I looked around on the neighbouring rooftops to see the same clothes and equipped men there, all of them pointing there guns at Tyler.
My mouth went dry, as I saw what was on there bulletproof vest. One man got out a megaphone.
"TYLER DICARLO. RELEASE THE GIRL OR WE WILL OPEN FIRE!"
I knew who these guys were.
"WE HAVE ORDERS TO OPEN FIRE! RELEASE THE GIRL AND SURRENDER!"
Oh my mayo.
"I REPEAT, RELEASE THE GIRL AND SURRENDER.
It was the fudging United States Army.
LE GASP 😱
THAT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:O LONG!

Mayo: *rolls eyes* aaannd here we go again.
