After a minute, they finally arrived at the cliff, where there was someone who’s sitting on the edge of it.

This place was very familiar to Taehyung, since this is the place where Jungkook confessed to him.

“Captain asked me to bring you here. You two need to talk.”—

Taehyung hopped down the horse. Bogum saw that Tae was feeling a bit hesitant, so he held and caressed his hand to assure him that nothing will happen.

“Its okay. He can’t hurt you, and I don’t think he will. But if he ever, I’ll just be behind the trees to save you.”—

Tae gave him an impish smile. Bogum turned the horse back then left.

Tae looked back to Jungkook who is currently facing his back at him. He probably did not know that Tae has arrived.

Tae was feeling so anxious, he was overthinking again. But maybe, they just need a talk.—

He slowly walked towards him, barely even making a sound.

He sat down at the edge of the cliff beside him. Tae did not look at him, because he was too scared that if he’ll get a glimpse of Jungkook, he might cry.

Jungkook saw him in his side perspective.—

“The moon looks lonely...” Jungkook spoke, looking above the sky.

Tae looked up, he can feel the sadness of Jungkook’s voice. “I-It doesn’t. The moon had stars around him.” Tae commented.

Jungkook let out a sad smile, “You think the stars would make it feel less lonely?”—

Tae thought for a while, “Yes. Its better than no one was there with it.”

Jungkook was silently gazing at the sky. Tae got the courage to look at him, and he felt sadder when he saw Jungkook’s eyes glistening.

Is he tearing up? “You’re right. Its better than nothing.”—

“But don’t you think that the stars would just hurt the moon?” Jungkook asked, looking at Taehyung with unreadable gaze.

Taehyung couldn’t understand what he was saying.

“Why would the stars hurt the moon? They help the moon save the dark night.”—

Jungkook looked back up the sky.

“The moon shows up first, giving light to the eve. Then eventually the stars will show up, making the night even brighter with its glow. But after hours, the stars will disappear as the sun rise. And the moon will be left alone again.”—

“Then the moon will disappear on its own. Isn’t that sad? That the stars would suddenly show up in the midst of everything then disappear when things are getting fine?”

Tae was left with no words, he think that he knew what he was talking about.—

Jungkook looked back at him, a tear fell from his eyes as he spoke. “Are you the star, hyung?”

He asked, voice shaking in hurt. “Would you leave me too like how the stars did to the moon?”

Tae felt a pang in his heart. And bursted in tears, saying nothing but sobs.—

“Because I’ve read things like this in the books. The one came from another world, then fell inlove with someone from the world it went. And then that person would have to leave, and everything would be broken.”

Jungkook said as he wiped his tears away.—

“You’re from the future right? Will you leave me eventually? Would you need to go back to your place when everything is done?”

Tae couldn’t utter a word, he never cried like this just because of words. But now, Jungkook’s words hit different.

“I hate you, hyung.”—

“I hate you for lying to me. I hate you for being the only person who easily caught my heart. But I’m not regretting that I gave it to you.”

Jungkook’s tears were now falling continuously, he never cried like this before.

“I’m sorry...” that’s what all Tae could say.—

“It was too late for me to realize that I’m inlove with you. I couldn’t get the courage to tell you the truth because I’m scared of hurting you — only to realize that I’ll hurt you more if I keep lying to you.”

They were close to each other, but they felt so far.—

“I did not even know that you’re not the Taehyung that I’m mad at. You don’t know how much my world shattered when I found out that you killed my brother, only to know that it was the other one.”

Tae couldn’t imagine how hard it could be for Jungkook that time.

“I was split into getting my brother the justice he deserves, and coming back to you with open arms. I was so blinded by anger that I almost tried to kill you. I’m sorry, I’m sorry...”

Tae held Jungkook’s hand. “You did not know it wasn’t me, you don’t have to be sorry.”—

“I’m sorry too, that I made you believe in a lie.”

He cupped Jungkook’s face and wiped the never ending tears away with his thumb. “I feel like a fool.” Jungkook said.

“We’re all fools, just in a different way. Example, I’m a fool for you.” Tae cried and Jungkook giggled.—

“You really said that?” Jungkook said, painting a little smile and smirk on his face.

Tae felt relieved that they’re beginning to be comfortable again, and the atmosphere is getting lighter.

“But can you promise me one thing?” Jungkook asked.—

“Promise me no secrets, and please, please...” Jungkook pulled Tae’s hand and held it like he never wanna let go of it.

“Please don’t leave me. You’re the only one I had, so please promise me that.”

Tae gave him an assurance in his smile. “If you promise, then I will.”—

Jungkook finally held out a smile, “I promise.” Tae giggled. “Then, I promise too.”

They intertwined their pinky fingers as an assurance that they’ll held onto their promise.

“Do you forgive me now?” Tae asked, since Jungkook still looks sullen.—

Jungkook’s expression went serious as he shake his head. “No.” He said.

Tae’s smile dropped, he felt a bit hurt and sad. But he can’t blame Jungkook, he’s hurt.

“Its okay. I under—“ Jungkook cut him off.

“Not until you give me a kiss.”—

Tae’s face literally lit up and his fave blushed a little. He was holding back his smile because he was feeling the butterflies wilding in his stomach.

“What are you looking at? Come on, I’m getting impatient.” Jungkook joked as he pointed onto his lips.—

With all his smiles, the backed off the edge of the cliff for safety. Then Tae immediately aimed for Jungkook’s lips.

Finally, finally they felt that electrifying feeling again. That butterfly effect in their stomachs are making them happy.

They missed each other, so much.—

Tae sat on his lap and Jungkook held his waist to guide him. Tae place his arms around Jungkook’s neck to deepen the kiss.

With that action, it made their night better.

But Tae forgot that Bogum was just there, hiding behind the trees, making sure that he’s safe.—

Bogum looked away, he caressed the horse and spoke with a tear falling down his cheek.

“I think this is our cue to go, right Hara?” He talked to the horse.

He breathed in, to atleast calm himself and lessen the pain he’s feeling.

“I’m okay, I’m strong right?”—

He laughed to himself as he wiped his tears. “Lets go home, baby. You need some rest.”

He said as he slowly lead the horse, and left the forest with a painful scenery in his head.

And he felt even sadder, because he didn’t know if he can still fight the pain any longer.
