Tae fell down the ground again. He has no energy left, he was so drained physically and emotionally.

What was happening? He hated that he didn’t even have any clue.

He took a look at his hand that was bandaged, the wounds were still there. And it hurts more.—

Because he felt like his efforts were also thrown away as soon as Jungkook trashed his gift.

He worked for that, so hard. He didn’t even stop even if his fingers were hurting. It may not be the best, but he exerted all his love & effort there.

& Jungkook did not see that.—

Tae felt his tears falling down, but he doesn’t have the energy to sob anymore.

“Jungkook...you promised my you’ll protect me.” Tae whispered to himself, his voice was too weak.

“You promised me, didn’t you?” His voice cracked as he felt a wave of tears coming again.—

He just cried in silence, because he knew that no one will come and comfort him. Just himself.

A few minutes of shedding tears, he was surprised when a female voice spoke inside the cell.

“Does it hurt?” Tae flinched, he immediately rose from the ground.—

Tae’s eyes bawled, “M-Miss Fairy?” He cried, he didn’t know if he should be happy or worried that he’s seeing her.

The goddamn person or mystical creature that sucked him into the past, damn.

“Y-You’re back! I can’t believe I’m seeing y-you.” Tae said.—

The fairy was painting her nails, and the objects were too familiar to him. “Where did you get the nail polish?

The fairy smiled as she was satisfied with her nail color. “I went to the future, the other Tae gifted me this. Isn’t it lovely?”

She showed him her fingers.—

“Y-yes—“ , “Oh of fucking course not.”

He flinched at the sudden thunder of voice. He looked at the fairy and her aura changed now.

“I am very angry right now Kim Taehyung.” She stated, making the polish disappear within just her touch.—

“W-What did I do...?” Tae finally asked, he looked down his hands, the grip of the chains were hurting his wrists.

The fairy stood up, then walked back and fourth like she’s thinking.

“Which one, the bad news...or the other bad news?”—

Tae couldn’t choose. Can he never get out of sadness? Its all bad news today.

“Either, i’ll leave it to you.” Tae said with his weak voice. “

“So basically, the original Taehyung from here was the mastermind of the death of Captain’s brother.”—

“He did it out of jealousy since the girl he likes was inlove with Junghyun. He asked a killer to kidnap him, make him suffer, and then kill him. Cruel right?”

Tae felt surprised at the information. He never knew that the old Tae was this worse.

“But out of the blue, he realized his wrong doings since was only brainwashed by his father. He tried to stop the killer from killing Junghyun but it was too late since at the time he arrived at the place, Junghyun was already dead.”—

“He spent 3 years coping with his guilt. It was made worse when he realized that Junghyun has a younger brother. He was scared that Jungkook would come for revenge so out of pressure and guilt, with all of his emotions, he wished to go to another world to forget everything.”—

“And at that same time, you also wished to live in his world to so you won’t have to suffer in researching.”

Tae couldn’t blame himself anymore from being so dumb. Because he’s somehow grateful that he met Jungkook here.

“Now for the other news,”—

“That was the damn reason why I fucking told you not to be so close with Captain. Because I know that you’ll be in danger. But I have no right to tell you about that.”

The fairy breathed in like she was calming herself. She was shinning in glitters and light.—

“You—you—argh! You! You don’t know how much I’m wanting for this day to come so I can finally scold you!”

Tae flinched at her voice, she was pointing so harshly at him.

“If you only listened to me, then the future wouldn’t have changed!”—

Tae was so surprised at her words. “C-change...the f-future?” Tae asked.

“Yes!” The fairy massaged her temples due to frustration. “I couldn’t go back to the future anymore after you and Jungkook kissed! Oh my god!”

Tae went silent.

He changed the future?—

“Now, I don’t know what’s going to happen to Jungkook anymore. I don’t even know if he’ll still be known as a hero or if he’ll die! You changed the history—the past! And now, even the future changed! Gosh, this is stressing me you little munchkin.”—

If he really changed the future, then what will happen now?

He was scared knowing that Jungkook will die eventually, but he’s even scared because he didn’t know what’s gonna happen next anymore.

Would that be a good thing? Or nah?—

And how about the future? Would his life still be the same even if he comes back?

“I’m sorry...” that was the only word that Tae spoke. He was so drained, so tired, so hurt.

The fairy sighed, and looked down at him. She somehow felt pity, but she cannot show that.—

“I want you to choose,” she started.

“Would you want to go back to the future? So that you can no longer ruin the past? Or would you stay here, and find out what happens?”

Thought empty, he couldn’t even think. But that tough question, was forcing him to.

Would he still want to stay here? After all that happened? And even if he felt like Jungkook isn’t the guy that he loved anymore?

Or would he want to go back to the future? To save his own family? To take care of the country?

It was hurting his head. Can he not decide?

Tae bit his lip, thoughts we’re scattered on his head.

He was feeling so anxious to choose, since he didn’t want to mess up again. Or what if he does?

“Honey, I’m waiting.” The fairy looked at her fingernails in boredom, then looked back at Tae with a worried face.—

He couldn’t decide well, he’s feeling too pressured.

But all he can think of, was Jungkook.

He closed his eyes tight, then spoke his words, “I choose to stay.” He was shaking in nervousness, did he make the right choice?

The fairy sighed.—

“Good,” she started. “Even though I know that you didn’t do what you’re being accused, you still deserve the punishment that Captain is giving you.”

Tae thought, maybe she was right.

“I told you in the first place to just stick in your mission. But you didn’t listen.”—

“You made a big change. I’ll let you stay here, but I have a condition.”

Tae felt scared about the condition, but he chose this right?

“Even if the history change, I want you to make sure the same ending — Captain will be known as Korea’s savior.”—

Tae couldn’t utter a word, does she mean that Jungkook would still have to die in the end to be known?

But she didn’t say anything specific right?

“That’s your last mission. And please, please stick with it. If you ever fuck up again, I’m not forgiving you anymore.—

The fairy held her hand above Tae’s head, and a shower of glittery lights appeared, then gone.

“W-What did you do?” Tae asked, he felt like it was an enchantment.

“I still have mercy, so I decided to lessen your suffers. Remember the mission. Till again, Kim Taehyung.”—

With those words, the fairy disappeared within the speed of light.

And Tae was left alone again. He felt like he’s gonna faint again because of how heavy his heart is.

“Can the heart of a person change? Can the heart forget the promise it made?” Tae asked himself.—

He crawled and lean against the wall for support. He can feel his body being weak again, and his tears were trying to peek out.

“If our love for each other...is the one who’s stopping you from getting the justice you wanted...”

Tae paused as he tried to hold back a sob.—

With a heavy heart, his voice cracked as he let out a silent cry.

“Then I do believe that the heart of a person can change. And the heart can forget the promise it made.”

He curled himself into a ball, and cried his pain out.

Because what else can he do than that?
