429.

Tae stood up from the chair, trying to make sure that he’s not just seeing things.

The younger was quite confused at his reaction, “Uh..yes sir. That’s my name.” He said.

But he realized one thing.

Jungkook laughed a bit. “You thought I was Captain Jeon, right?”—

Tae was frozen, he couldn’t even blink an eye.

Jungkook scratched the back of his head, he knew the answer.

“Don’t worry, I’m not him.” He joked.

“People say I do look like him alot, and we have the same name. Its crazy.” He laughed.—

“But we don’t have the same surname.” He smiled.

Tae was almost falling down the ground with his knees. He doesn’t know but that smile...its been so long since he’s seen it and its making him weak.

“O-Oh...” Tae quickly wiped his tears.—

He thought that Jungkook probably thought he’s a freak.

He sat back onto his chair, shaking. If Captain reincarnated, Tae knew he won’t remember any.

But if this isn’t the reincarnation of Captain...then Tae doesn’t know what the fuck was the universe’s reason.—

“My name is Jungkook, but its not ‘Jeon Jungkook’, it’s ‘Han Jungkook’.” The younger explained.

Tae nodded, and held the papers back in his shaky hands. “Y-Yeah, I’m sorry for that.”

Tae talked to him about things, and guided him in everything.—

As years pass by, they became friends too.

Jungkook was a PE Teacher, and Tae was a history teacher. They enjoy each other’s company, and soon, they became best friends.

Tae thought he finally knew what the universe wanted to do.

431.

Later on, Tae found out that Jungkook was bisexual.

And you know, as both of them are actually slowly forming feelings for each other, they decided to try out things.

They officially went in a relationship together.—

They did just as what couples would do — cuddles, dates, flattering words, monthsaries, anniversaries, and everything.

They were happy, really.

They’ve been in a relationship for 3 years now, and its really going well.—

But as they say, secrets can ruin a relationship. And communication is really important.

But none of them cheated, none of them lost time for each other. Its just that, for the both of them — especially Tae — there was something missing.

436.

Years and years passed, they fulfilled their promise to each other that they’ll still be bestfriends after the breakup.

And they’re happier as best friends, Tae was promoted into a master teacher, and Jungkook decided to quit teaching to be a chef.—

Fast forward on Jungkook’s wedding — he’s finally getting married.

Tae was his best man, he’s his best friend after all. And Tae knew he had finally moved on.

He’s happy for Jungkook, because he finally found the person whom he’ll spend his life with.—

Tae smiled, he had finally accepted his fate.

He had fully lost hope that he’ll find another Captain Jeon in this life. He didn’t want to wait for another one again, because he knew that his heart only belongs to Captain.

Maybe, its time for him to move forward.—

Right now, Taehyung was getting ready for sleep. He’s now 45, still unmarried, and he didn’t want to get married anymore if the groom isn’t Captain.

His brother was staying in his house with his wife who’s 9 months pregnant, almost giving birth.—

He let them stay in his house first, because Taerin had just built a house for him & his wife. So for the mean time while its not yet finished, theyre staying here.

Their aunt is staying here too, because Tae is all alone in this house, and she thought that he’ll be lonely.—

Tae changed onto his pajamas, he turned off the lamp light, and was ready to lay on his bed when a shower of glittery light appeared in front of him.

He was surprised, felt a bit of fear and was ready to fight.

But then he recognized those sparkles.—

There appeared a person he’s never seen in the past years.

“Ms. Fairy?” He cried, eyes bawling in surprise.

The woman smiled at him, she’s still the same fairy from back then. And it doesn’t look like she aged.

“Taehyung! Oh god, its been years!”—

They excitedly hugged each other, both of them were overwhelmed.

“I thought I’ll never see you again!” Tae cried, feeling so happy to see the fairy again.

“Well me too, but I forgot to tell you something.” She laughed and scratched the back of her head.—

“What is it?” Tae asked, sitting back down on the bed.

“You have one wish left.” She said while holding her wand.

Tae furrowed his brows in confusion.

“One wish left? But I never made a wish right now?”—

The fairy was actually expecting this.

“Well, that moment you wished to go back in the past, you already made your first wish. I found you that time, and its like...I became your genie.”

Tae looked at her, not being able to process it.

“What was my...second wish?”—

The fairy was hesitating to speak, because she knew that Tae was quite sensitive about this.

“You wished for Jungkook to live long and stay with you, right? Do you remember that night?” She asked gently.

And Tae felt an ache in his heart.

“Yes.”—

“That was your second wish. Captain lived a hundred years and more, and he stayed with you by heart.” She sighed and smiled.

Tears were again forming on Tae’s eyes. He thought he’ll never cry about that again, but he’s wrong.

“And its now time for your last wish.”—

Tae quickly wiped his tears before it fell. “Why are you telling this to me just now?!”

“I’m sorry okay?! I have a lot of jobs and I totally forgot about your last wish. That’s why I’m here to finally finish everything.”

Tae sighed, he felt troubled.—

“Tae, I know you’re still thinking about him. And I want you to think about your wish very carefully. I don’t want you regret anything again.”

Tae thought she was right. He needs to think of this carefully.

“Do I really need to make a wish now? As in right now?”—

The fairy nodded as she played with her hair. “Of course! Duh, I can’t wait forever.”

Tae bit his lip, “Can you atleast give me 5 minutes?” He asked.

The fairy thought of it, and maybe she can give him some time.

“Sure, just 5 minutes okay!”—

Out of silence, Tae could hear the clock ticking.

He was very focused on thinking about his last wish, and finally, he had decided.

“I know my wish now.” He said.

“That fast? It has just been 30 seconds? But okay.”—

The fairy waved her wand in the air, and it created trails of glittery lights like magic.

“Are you ready Tae?”

Tae heaved a sigh, and he knew he had to be ready.

“I am.”

The fairy smiled. “In the count of three, state your wish, okay?”—

Tae was nervous, hands feeling so cold.

“1...”

“2...”

“3...”

And that night, Tae had finally made his last wish. And its the wish he’s been wanting all his life.

[ THE NEXT DAY ]

Taerin barged in Taehyung’s room, holding a trumpet. He blew it and it created a loud noise, he did that in purpose to wake up his brother.

“Happy Birthday to the most stubborn person in the world!”

He cried and laughed.—

His wife — Chaeyoung came in, wearing a birthday hat, and holding her rounded belly.

“Happy birthday Taehyung-ssi! Wake up now!” She cried. She treated Tae like her own brother too.

Their aunt came in, holding a birthday cake. “Taehyung-ssi! Wake up, its ur birthday!”—

“Hyung! Come on! Wake up now or I’ll throw you some cold water.” Taerin hopped onto the bed and shook his brother to wake him up.

But Tae was just still, eyes closed.

“Taehyung-ssi! We prepared a cake for you!” Their aunt said.

But Taehyung, still no response.—

“Taehyung-ssi, wake up!” Chaeyoung gently patted him on the shoulder.

“Oh you want some tickles huh?” Taerin cried, and quickly ran his fingers onto Tae’s side to tickle him because he usually reacts quick to this.

But they’re quite alarmed when Tae did not even budge.—

“Taehyung?” Their aunt shook him to wake him up.

“Taehyung-ssi, its not funny.” Chaeyoung cried, not amused if ever Tae was joking around.

“Hyung stop it, wake up.” Taerin said, a bit pissed.

Their aunt checked his pulse, and she cried.—

“Auntie...why are you crying...?” Chaeyoung asked, gently holding the woman.

“His...his pulse...its not beating anymore.” She cried, holding tight onto Tae’s hand.

Taerin stood there frozen, he didn’t want to believe her.

He shook his brother. “Hyung! Wake up!”—

Until the room was full of crying, they still couldn’t believe that Tae was probably gone.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Chaeyoung felt pain right on her stomach.

She thought it was just a random pain, but as seconds went by, the pain was growing more.—

She held onto her belly, trying to ease the pain. But its just getting stronger.

“H-Honey...” Chaeyoung called, and she caught the two’s attention.

“Chae? W-What’s going on? Are you okay?” Taerim panicked, going quickly towards his wife with tears on his eyes.—

Until Chaeyoung couldn’t hold back the pain anymore.

“Aaagh!” She cried, tears forming in her eyes in pain. Their auntie panicked too, and maybe she knew what was happening.

“Chae, your waters broke! You’re giving birth!”—

Taerim panicked. “I’ll ready the car okay!” He quickly ran in the speed of light.

The car was finally ready, and Chae was crying in pain, she’s in the car now.

They got Tae in the car too, they still need to bring him into the hospital for assurance.—

But little did they know, that Tae’s wish was just starting.

“My last wish, is for me and Captain’s story to repeat again — but this time, a happy ending will count.”
437.

After an hour of waiting, the doctors had finally let Taerin in the room.

Cheeks still stained with tears, he felt so happy when he saw Chae lovingly looking at their newborn.

Taerin leaned forward, giving his wife a kiss.

“Honey, he looks like you.” Chae said.—

Taerin felt he heart jump when he saw his son for the first time after 9 months.

But his emotions were a mess right now, because despite of having another addition in the family, they lost one too.

“How’s your brother?” Chae asked.

Taerin sighed. “He’s gone.”—

Chae felt sad too, they did not even get to thank him for assisting her and her husband.

Taerin was an engineer, and Chae was an interior designer. Taehyung helped the both of them graduate and start with their life as a married couple.—

“Actually...I dreamt of Taehyung-ssi last night. He told me something about a necklace.” Chae said.

Taerin furrowed his brows in confusion. “Necklace?”

“I don’t actually understand but he told me to name our son after him, and give our son the necklace in his cabinet.”—

Taerin thought a little, he’s suddenly remembering that necklace that Tae always refuse to take off.

“I think I know that necklace.” He said.

“I named our son Taehyung, not just because of my dream, but also as a thanks to him for helping the both of us.”—

Chae carefully gave Taerin the baby who’s wrapped in a blue towel.

Their little one looks angelic. “We lost hyung, but they gave us our son. I think, that’s fair enough.”

Taerin smiled, lovingly gazing at his son.

“Taehyung — Kim Taehyung — Welcome to the world, my love.”
[ 7 YEARS LATER ]

“Just hold on a second baby, I’ll just call dad. Okay?”

Chae told her 7 year old son — Taehyung — who’s patiently playing with his airplane toy.

They’re currently in school — that same school where Taerin graduated.—

There are lots of people — not only students, but also parents and some other family members.

There’s a competition going on — writing contests, poster making, collage making and etc.

Since Taerin graduated here, he’s chosen as the speaker for the quiz bee competition.—

Chae was busy talking on the phone, but she’s still keeping her eyes on her son.

Tae was quietly playing with his toy when he heard cries from far beside him.

The kid got curious. He looked behind him, only to see a little boy crying under that tree.

It was THAT tree.—

At first, he was just staring, silently judging the kid.

But you know, he’s in the age of exploring things. He slowly walked towards that boy, who’s crouching on the ground as he cry.

It wasn’t much far from his mom, so he’s fine.

“Why are you crying?” He softly asked.—

The little boy looked up, tears falling down his eyes. “Go away! My mommy told me not to talk to strangers!”

Tae pouted, but he thought of an idea. “My name is Kim Taehyung.”

The little boy frowned at him.

“I’m not a stranger anymore. So you can talk to me now.”—

The little boy thought he had a point. But he still refused to answer.

“I’m not a bad person.” Tae pouted, really wanting to befriend the little boy.

The boy sniffed on his snots. “R-Really?”

Tae nodded with his boxy smile. “Whats your name?”—

The little boy was still hesitating, but he still spoke.

“M-My name is Jeon Jungkook.”

The boy said in between his sobs. Tae knelt a little to be fair to his height.

They’re ages are 2 years apart.

“Why are you crying Gukkie?” Tae asked.—

“I can’t find my mommy.” He let out a loud sob, and tears fell down his cheeks again.

“You mea, you’re lost?” Tae asked, and Jungkook nodded.

“I was j-just looking at toys but when I looked b-back, I can’t find my mommy a-anymore.”—

Tae held the younger’s hand, and gently pulled him up to stand.

“Come on Gukkie, I’ll save you.” Tae said, acting all tough as he remember all the cartoons he watched.

“S-Save me?” Jungkook asked, eyes hurting in tears.

“Yes! We’ll find your mommy.”—

Tae was holding Jungkook’s hand tight, really taking responsibility of him being the older.

They went to Tae’s mom. And just at that moment, Chae ended
