Tae pushed the knife further to add more pain in the stab. Because actually, this isn’t enough for all what he’s done to him.

Jaewon groaned, shaking at the pain, and he’s unable to speak any words out of shock and hatred.

But maybe...he knew he deserved this.—

Tae pulled out the knife, and stepping back to unlock the hug that he thought was disgusting.

Jaewon slowly fell on the ground with his knees, and tears falling down his cheeks.

Tae had a very soft heart for feeling pity towards him,

But he didn’t want to forgive him.—

“That’s not enough for all that you have done. But I’m not as evil as you.”

Tae cried, holding tight onto the knife who’s now stained in blood.

Jaewon was having a hard time on breathing, he couldn’t even speak yet.

Tae thought he should leave.—

Because he knew he’s just wasting his time for a very irrelevant person.

But even before he could take a step away, Jaewon spoke.

“Why not just kill me?” He said, and Tae paused in his tracks.

“You want to take revenge right? Then kill me right now.”—

Tae looked back, giving a glance at Jaewon who looks so weak right now.

He thought he’s right. Why not just kill him now? That wouldn’t cost his conscience because Jaewon deserved that.

Tae went close to him, holding the knife above him, ready to end Jaewon with it.—

Tae swung the knife, but he was so shocked.

Because even before he could stab it at him, Jaewon held his arm tight like he’s crushing him, and slowly stood up from the ground.

“Shit!” Tae cursed as he couldn’t fight back Jaewon’s grip.

He’s too strong.—

“You’re just as stupid as me.”

Jaewon pulled Tae into a hug-like, grabbed the knife from his hand and stabbed Tae from behind.

Just like how Tae did to him.

And Tae’s eyes were bawling in shock and pain.

“I’m such a fool to let my heart soften for my son.”—

“Without knowing that his words weren’t sincere.”

Jaewon pushed the knife further on the stab, and Tae could instantly feel sharp piercing into his body.

“I am truly disgusted to have you as my son either.”

Jaewon whispered, feeling so much hatred.—

He pulled out the knife, and pushed Tae harshly on the ground.

Tae was feeling so dizzy with the amount of pain that he’s feeling. He’s turning pale because he’s been losing blood since awhile ago.

But now, there’s too much blood loss that he almost couldn’t breathe.—

Jaewon stood there, tears streaming down his face as he see his own son lying down the ground on his own blood.

“I’m sorry, but I’ll never let you fool me again.”

And with that, he swung another stab onto him.

And blood was starting to come out from Tae’s mouth.—

Jaewon pulled out the knife, and threw it on the ground with his shaking hands.

He couldn’t take the guilt, but isn’t he evil enough for that?

He ran away, leaving Tae lying on the ground.

Tae’s vision was getting blurry, and it spinning so much.—

His heart was beating from his throat, and he couldn’t even feel the tears in his eyes anymore because of numbness.

Bogum’s not here anymore, Jungkook is far away. Who will save him now?

Or will he still be saved?—

He couldn’t see well, but he’s aware that he’s seeing the trees above.

And the light from the sky.

Maybe this is the end for him.

Without any more seconds, he can feel his eyes closing.

And he lost consciousness.

[ TIME SKIP & CHANGE POV ]

“Go! Go!”

Jungkook said as he guided the people out of that prison, he shot two soldiers that are trying to aim for them.

They had successfully escaped the people who’s held captive. Its alot of people — maybe half of the population of the Capital.—

“We have to go!” Lieutenant Han shouted as he saw a group of opponents coming at them.

They’re trying to guard the people as they go outside the boundaries to keep them safe.

It was very harsh in the ear to hear the loud gunshots and explosions.—

“My daughter!” Jungkook heard a woman shout in the messy crowd.

The people were behind them as they ran, and the soldiers were shooting at the opponents.

“My daughter!” A woman cried.—

Jungkook saw a little girl on the ground crying, the people were stepping on her because they’re running in panic.

The mother was opposing the flow of the crowd to get to her daughter, but she was just washed away.

“Mama!” The little girl cried.—

Jungkook was about to help the little girl, but then Lieutenant spoke.

“Captain! We need your force! There’s too many of them!” He said as he continued shooting at the opponents.

Jungkook was contemplating on what should too.—

Sucks to be a Captain — who needs to do its duty while serving the people.

“Captain we need you to shoot now!” Lt. Han said.

But Jungkook was too wise for that.

He shot the opponents as he took steps backwards, going into the direction of the little girl.

As soon as he felt that he’s near the girl now, he quickly ducked down, and held her in his arms.

“Shh we’re going to your mom, don’t worry.” Jungkook said as he carry the girl in his arms.

He stood up, facing his body  back to prevent the girl from being shot just incase.—

“Cover your ears.” He ordered the girl, and the little one did cover her ears.

Jungkook pulled the trigger and shot some of the opponents that he can reach with one hand.

And as soon as that, he immediately looked back again, searching for the girl’s mom.—

He quickly found her and went towards her, he saw that she had scratches on her skin because maybe, she’s opposing the flow of the run.

He handed her the kid, “Please hold her tight.” Jungkook said.

He felt somehow happy when he saw how the mother hugged her child.—

The woman was crying. “Thank you so much, sir! Thank you very much!”

Jungkook nodded, “Go now! Run! Follow those soldiers and they’ll take you to a safer place.”

He ordered and the woman ran with her child on her arms.—

With a very unknown reason, Jungkook felt his heart did a sudden slide.

He held onto his chest, frowning at the sudden gut feeling.

“Taehyung...” the name unconsciously slipped from his mouth and he realized it.

He knew something bad happened.—

The soldiers had taken down all the possible opponents coming at them. Right now, no one is still appearing.

And they’re safe — for now.

Suddenly, a soldier with another person in his arms came running.

Jungkook’s team immediately pointed their guns at that guy.—

They were alarmed like what if its another opponent?

But Jungkook held his hand up high, signaling the soldiers to put down their guns.

“Its Captain Hugo.” Jungkook said as he carefully placed back his gun.

“He’s with someone!” A soldier siad.—

Jungkook frowned, trying to recognize the person that Hugo was holding coz its hard to do it because of the blood.

But as soon as Hugo was close enough, Jungkook’s world fell apart.

“I found him in the fo—“

Before Hugo could finish his words, Jungkook flung a fist on him.—

It was safe to punch him since Tae wasn’t in his arms anymore.

Jungkook felt all the blood rise up in his head. His eyes were on fire as he look at Hugo wiping blood on the side of his lips.

“YOU FUCKER!” Jungkook cried as he started punching him merciless.—

Doctor Hye couldn’t focus throughly on Tae because he’s distracted of Jungkook’s curses.

Some soldiers were holding back Jungkook now to stop him from punching Hugo further.

Some were just standing there terrified, cuz they’ve seen Jungkook angry.

But not THIS angry.—

With too much anger in him, it was the first time that Jungkook’s emotions turned to tears.

Everyone was so confused, coz never did they ever see their Captain shed a tear or even act weak in front of them.

“YOU DID THAT TO HIM?!” Jungkook’s voice was more than thunder.—

“YOU HAD THE FUCKING BALLS TO DO THAT TO HIM?!” The soldiers were holding Jungkook by his arms to stop him from attacking again.

Hugo felt weak at the punches he received. But he didn’t want to be accused on something he did not do.

“YOU—“

“LISTEN TO ME ONCE!”—

Jungkook vision was blurry because of the tears.

“I DID NOT DO THAT TO HIM! YOU ASKED ME TO SABOTAGE MY FATHER! I SAW HIM THERE IN THE FOREST!”

Hugo cried, being helped on standing up.

“I did not saw who did it, but it was certainly not me!”—

Jungkook was almost losing his breathe in sobbing, his heart was piercing so much that he couldn’t even think of anything else but Taehyung.

“S-Sir, please believe...him. He’s telling the truth. I saw him there...he’s not the one who did it.”

Namjoon was being escorted.—

He had a few injury, but he’s weak.

Jungkook was silenced, but his heart was wilding. He hardly shook off all the grips on him and went to the tent were Doctor Hye was.

He can barely even walk properly because he’s shaking in so much anger.—

Hye was surprised when Jungkook stormed in the tent, but he’s even surprised that their Captain was crying.

“T-Tell me he’s fine.”

Jungkook ordered. He wanted to convince himself that Tae will be fine despite of all the blood he’s stained with.—

“I can’t tell you that,”

Tae was lying on the bed, his wounds being cured and sewed by the nurses and another Doctor.

“He’s still breathing, but he lost a lot of blood. There’s 50/50 chance that he’ll survive this.”

Jungkook clenched his fist in anger within himself.—

He glanced at Tae, who’s sleeping so peacefully, and his eyes were stained with dried tears.

How did he manage to save his people, when he can’t even save the person who’s most valuable to him?

“But he’ll be fine right? He’ll wake up right?”—

Hye realized that maybe, Tae was a very special person to Jungkook, that’s why he’s like this.

He went to him and escorted him outside the camp.

“I suggest you stay here, you’ll be more stressed if you see him.”

“You’re not answering my question.”—

Hye was silenced. He didn’t know how he’ll tell Jungkook without draining the shit out of him.

“If you believe in him, he will.”

Hye left, going back in the tent.

And Jungkook fell weak on his knees, running his fingers through his hair.

He’s so scared, he’s never been this scared.

Not because of the war, not even a single fear about the opponents, not even because of death.

But its because of the thought that he might loose Taehyung.—

“I lost my mother, I lost my brother too.” Jungkook started.

Heaving a shaky breath, tears fell down non stop.

“God,” He called.

“Please don’t take away the only person I have.”

He placed his hands together, pleading for the above to spare Tae.

[ TIME SKIP COZ IM EXCITED ]

“Captain!” Sergeant called, running towards Jungkook in his temporary tent.

“General Reiner is calling for you. He said he’ll kill the President if you don’t show up before the sun rise.”

Jungkook was so lost in thoughts, that he couldn’t even react.—

“Captain!” Sergeant called, feeling alarmed that Jungkook isn’t even moving a finger.

“Captain we can’t let them kill the President!” He said, and Jungkook nodded, feeling so drained.

“Gather everyone, were going to—“

“Captain! Taehyung is awake.”—

Jungkook almost fell down his seat as he quickly stood up.

An opposite reaction he had earlier.  “What?” Jungkook asked.

“He’s awake now, I think you need to see him.”

Jungkook quickly ditched the two and ran towards the tent where Tae was in.—

As soon as Jungkook arrived, he saw that Tae had a lot of bandage, and he just wanted to cry at that sight.

He quickly ran to him and hugged him as he was lying down on the.

“Hyung!” Jungkook cried, holding Tae’s hand so tight like he didn’t want to let him go.—

“How are you feeling? Were you good now? Does it hurt bad? Who did this to you? Who fucking tried to—“

Tae held Jungkook’s hand to stop him from speaking. “I’m okay now.”

Jungkook calmed down a bit, he held Tae’s hand beside his cheeks as he kiss it.—

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry I wasn’t there. I’m sorry I did not do anything to protect y—“

“Jungkook, you’re a Captain, bound to serve people and not just your loved one. I understand.”

Jungkook thought he doesn’t deserve him, he’s too understanding.

“I’ll be fine.”—

In the midst of it, Sergeant came in.

“I’m sorry to meddle in Sir, but we only have a few minutes before the sun rise. We need to get there and save the President.”

Tae felt Jungkook grip tightening on his hand, he knew the younger didn’t want to go and leave him.—

Tae caressed his hand with his thumb. “You have to go.” He said, voice still weak.

Jungkook looked back at him with those teary eyes, and Tae just wanted to laugh at it.

“Captain,” Tae purposely said. “You have to go.”—

Jungkook sighed, and nodded. Sergeant left, waiting for Jungkook to come out.

The younger stood up. “I’ll come back soon, please be well.”

Jungkook leaned forward for a kiss, but this time its not on the forehead,

Its on the lips.—

Jungkook was so exhausted, so drained.

And Tae was his rest. “I’ll wait for you. Please be well too.” Tae said.

With those words, even if Jungkook didn’t want to, he left.

Without knowing that its their 2nd to last of seeing each other.
