When the 4 of you arrived downtown, the place was pack. People were dancing in the dancefloor, other were Eating by the bench and the rest just love birds walking around.

Knowing you're single in this time of the year just kind of makes you bitter.

“Camilo, let's dance!” Alicia said as she pulls the boy to the dance floor which was pack of people.

“Not again.” Camilo groans softly.

Gabriel then looked at you in joy. “Want to sit around for a bit?” He asked.

“Yeah yeah, sure. It's kind of early for a dance.”

Before you two sat in an empty bench, you both pass by a vendor selling Arepas. You two haven't have dinner yet so might as well.

You sat down. “Gosh, I've never been to this kind of events. It's so chaotic.” You said.

“Tell me about it, loud music, kids running around, lovebirds.” Gabriel Replied.

“Poor Dolores. Her ear is probably hurting so bad. I haven't seen her around tho.” You added.

“Maybe she's with Mariano somewhere peaceful and private. Like a date.”

“Well said.” You giggled.

You saw how Camilo was so happy with Alicia, you've always Dreamed dancing with him for a long time. Now that you're seeing him in person, it seems like he doesn't see you.

You sighed. The loud music slowly faded and slow dance came. Some people left the dancefloor and some lovers came.

After a few moments, Gabriel decided to ask you. “Hey uhmm wanna dance.” He asked.

You took his hand and went to the dancefloor. It was like swimming in the sea of people.

It was the second time you two are dancing so it's kind of Memorable. You laid your hands in his shoulders and he put his hand in your waist.

He stared at you. “What's up? You've been staring at me since we came here. Is there's something wrong with me? Dust? Crumbs?” You asked.

He chuckled. “No no! Nothing wrong. There's just— things that I want to tell you but—... I don't know if it's the right time or if I should even tell you.” He said.

Well since you mentioned it, now I'm curious.

“You know if it's problems, you can always tell me. We're friends.” You said as you two continued to dance.

He deeply sighed. “Look, I know we just met like 5 days ago and it was one of the most happiest days of my life. You're fun, smart, you care about others, friendly and of course most of all, pretty. It's just, I think it's too early to tell you this but I guess just have to say it one way or another.” He added that really made you confused. “I like you, Y/n.” He said that shocked you yet you two continued to dance.

He likes me? Of course he likes me. How come I didn't see this coming? Shoot, what am I gonna say?!

“Y—you like me?” You asked.

“Since that night we first met.” He said. You couldn't explain what you were feeling. Happy that finally someone confessed to you for the first time? Sad that you have to Reject him? Fear that he'll hate you once you reject him? Or guilt that you like someone else.

“I—i uhh—”

“Don't worry, I understand.” He said.

“W—wha what do you mean?” You asked.

“I know you like Camilo, that's why I hesitated to tell you. But don't worry, it's okay, I completely understand. If you like him, it's okay. I'm not here to force you to like me.” He smiled that made you feel so guilty.

Shit, I hurt him. I know he's hurt. Gosh! What do I do?!

“You wanna dance with Camilo? I could ask mi Prima to danced with me so you could dance with him.” He said.

You felt so bad.

He then slowly let go of you and smiled. “I still hope we could still be friends. If you need me just tell me. I'm always here for you.” He said. Before he could walk to Camilo and Alicia, you hugged him as tears came out of your eyes. You felt so guilty hurting a friend. You never meant thing to happen this way.

“I'm sorry Gab. I'm so sorry.” You said as he looked at you and wiped your Tears away.

“Stop crying. Like I said, I'm fine. Get the man of your dreams and dance with him.” He winked at you.

Damn, I know your f—ing hurt!
