Sitting across her kitchen table from Oak had her shifting uneasily as the serious expression on his face told her whatever he was about to say was not good. They had had an enjoyable night without incident after Sasha had been kicked out but now she needed to know what had kept Oak on edge all night. What the club knew about her own screwed up situation.

Rubbing a hand over his face, Oak took a swig of the beer that Melody had gotten him before setting it back down.

"Do you want the good or bad news first?" His low, deep voice was controlled and gave no clue to what she should ask for first.

"Bad", she answered softly as she fiddled with the mug of hot chocolate in front of her.

"We have to kill you." She liked blunt but that statement had her tensing up and breaking into a cold sweat. Had she misread this whole situation? What the actual fuck!? Pushing herself back from the table, she barely had time to think what the good news would have been before Oak was standing in her way.

"Woah, hold on there! It's not how it sounds, I promise." Oak had his hands up and stood in front of her, watching and waiting with a wary expression.

Blowing out a breath, she got her breathing and pounding heart under control as she held her shaking hands together and sat back down at the table. What the hell did he mean then?!

"I'm sorry, I should have worded that better. Ash had his contact at the police department pull up all the information on what we could and it doesn't look good. This cartel guy is untouchable and he is aware that both of his detectives are missing after they didn't show up for their set meet ups. We have to make you disappear before he finds the link that leads him out here." Melody stared at him in disbelief at what he was suggesting. She hadn't done a lot of hiding herself when she moved out here and after purchasing her house and now gaining employment...now she had to die?

"So what does this all mean? How are you going to "kill me"?" her fingers curled into air quotes as she tried to process what this meant.

"Well, we don't have the time to take your name off everything you own to hide you so we need to fake your death and get you a new identity. Trust me, we tried to think of everything we could to avoid this route but this drug cartel, they are not someone we can mess with. They have too many politicians and cops on their payroll. You would have to move." The sentence hung in the air between them as her heart started beating faster. Move? Where would she go? She was already at the end of her money after investing most into her house and the day to day expenses. This couldn't be happening.

"Oak, this is crazy! I should be able to go to the cops and tell them my story, they'll have to believe me and capture this guy. I like it here...where would I move to?" Melody hated her father in that moment. Hated how he had turned her world upside down and he wasn't even here to answer for it. Hated how she was just settling into her new life and now it was being torn away from her.

Standing up from the table, she flung the rest of her hot chocolate into the sink and let the mug follow before looking out at the starlit night. Blinking back tears, she felt Oak behind her and looked at his reflection mirrored in the window. His head was bowed and she watched as his hands lightly rested on her shoulder before she turned around and wrapped her own arms around him.

"There has to be another way." Closing her eyes, Melody hated this feeling of despair and reveled in the tightness of his grip.

"I hate it just as much as you do, Mel. But, this is the only way to make sure you stay safe and able to still have a life in the future." Melody knew what he was saying was true but that didn't make it any easier to swallow. If he was taking it this seriously, that meant only one thing.

"My father gave me up to this cartel didn't he? Traded me out like I meant nothing and all for a stupid deal." Pushing herself away from Oak, Melody wasn't going to wallow in self pity. If this was what needed to be done than she would do it.

"What now? All of this just goes poof? My house, my job?" Us? She thought as she heard her voice crack at the end and swallowed her emotions down. She wasn't a little girl and had to think straight about her life.

"Now we stage your death and get all the paperwork in order for a new identity. My brother said the chapter affiliated with us in Montana would be the best option. They have rentals they oversee and its a well protected area. They are a chapter of the Red Devils." Oak frowned as he said this before continuing. "He said they have a strong backing from other local clubs and would be the best place for you to hide while all of this is taken care of. He's already touched base with their President and VP who will be aware of your situation but the story for everyone else is you're in hiding from an abusive ex."

Melody chewed on her lip and nodded, internally flinching at how she wouldn't need to pretend that hard considering she had been doing that already before they were murdered.

"I would say a car crash that ended in fire is the best option. Your dad's car would be best but your choice." Oak rubbed the back of his neck before looking at her, his hands coming to rest on her arms.
"You get your say in all of this. Pick your name, a new car, a new look, a new house." Melody fisted her hands between them, wondering what his answer would be to her next question.
"And where will you be in all this?" She hated sounding so needy but her heart was already breaking.
He sighed and pulled her closer as she shifted her arms around him. His fingers were feather light over her back as she fought her tears back.
"I'm going to make sure you get there safely. And Wyatt has already offered to stay up there for a while. After that, Ash plans on patching him in." He didn't have to say it. Oak already had a life. His bar, his club, his home was here. She wouldn't ask him to choose nor was he offering. They had just met at the wrong time and right now she couldn't afford to be selfish. Not if she wanted to keep living.
Gripping him tighter, Melody at least wanted this one night to turn out how she wanted it to. With the way her life was going, she was done waiting for the good to happen. Speaking of good, what was the good he hadn't mentioned yet?
"So, tomorrow I will make my choices. But what's the good in all this besides keeping my life?" Her hands slipped from his back to his shoulders and she raised herself on tiptoe to find him staring intently down at her.
"Isn't that good enough?" Oak joked as his hands slid down to just above her ass. Her eyebrow rose with a don't fuck with me expression. "No, okay then. I know you had said you had been looking for more experience before running your own place. But, you don't need it and they have a bar up there that needs a good kick in the ass and your the one for it."
Melody felt her insides warm and wondered for the millionth time how she had gotten so lucky. She would have her life, her dog and something to focus her attention on. She still wanted one more thing.
"Thank you Oak...I just...I don't know...willyouhavesexwithme?" Melody felt her face flame red as the words rushed from her mouth. Had she really just said that? His eyes flared with surprise that quickly turned to lust. Yep, she had.
"Wait, I'm sorry." Melody made to step back but Oak's arms tightened and his hands moved to her ass.
"Mel, don't be sorry." He moved her gently towards the kitchen counter before squeezing her ass.
"I couldn't say no even if I wanted to. Are you sure?" He was giving her all the power in this and she wanted what he could give her.
"Yes." She pushed herself against him and he grabbed her thighs before hoisting her up to wrap them around his torso.
"Hold on sweetheart, I got you." Oak softly kissed her lips before carrying her up to her bedroom and sitting on the bed. She straddled his lap as he kissed down her throat, making her moan and arch against him. It felt so good and all thoughts of anything else went right out the window.
She pulled at his tee shirt before he whipped it off and went to pull off her own. Raising her hands above her head, she allowed him to take it off her and again surprise lit his face at her bra less chest.
His mouth latched onto her sensitive nipple while his strong hands gripped her hips. She needed out of all her clothes and fast.
Taking charge, Melody pushed him back and slid off his legs until she was standing before him. Stripping the black jeans and panties down, she fell to her knees between his spread legs.
Unzipping his pants, Oak helped to shimmy them down before she dragged his boxer briefs off. He stared down at her from where he was sitting with heavy, hooded eyes. Holding his hard cock that already stood at attention, she licked her lips over the velvety tip and swirled her tongue over the head, teasing him.
He growled lowly as one hand gripped her pony tail and the other her comforter. Her mouth and throat slowly took his shallow thrusts as her other hand stroked his balls. She hallowed her cheeks as she took him deeper into her throat making him curse before he dragged her into his lap.
"My turn." His hungry look made her shiver with pleasure as he scooted back on the bed before sliding her up towards his chest. His strong arms gripped her thighs before he pushed his face between them and blew a hot breath across her opening.
"Ride my face." His words were thick and low as he guided her down to his lips. Gasping she felt his tongue delve deep inside licking at her folds and flicking her clit. Grabbing his hair with one small fist, she felt his arm come across her butt as he held her to him. She was practically gushing as she ground herself down into his mouth.
"Not yet." Was all Oak said before he was pushing her down his chest and positioning her over his lap.
One thrust and she was crying out with pleasure bordering on pain as his large cock stretched her. Holding on for dear life, she gripped his shoulders and matched his thrusts with her own frenzied ones. Her orgasm was quickly building and she wasn't going to be able to hold back much longer.
"Ohh...I'm going to...aghhhhh". Melody let herself go as she heard Oak's deep grunt before he came hard. Both gasping for breath, she held tight to Oak as they both came down. Still joined, she yelped when he stood with her and headed to the bathroom. Stepping into the shower, he let her slide down as he fiddled with the water to make it warm.
Feeling the mix of their release run down her leg, she watched in amazement as Oak steered her under the shower spray. He handed her the soap before running his already lathered hands over his own body. Attending to her every need was something she was definitely not used to from a man. It made the thought of leaving him that much harder but she refused to let that bring her night down.
Clean again, they both stepped from the shower and towel dried off before facing each other in the bedroom.

"Come on, I'll put some of that lotion on your back. Lie down". Readily she laid down naked on her bed and sighed in relief as he caressed her back with the salve for her wounds. They felt better and better every day, but she wondered how many more scars would remain behind. Her shoulders slumped as she realized her days of wearing a bikini were long gone. Stop it Melody! Berating herself for thinking that way, she had to be grateful for her life and being able to live it.

"Thank you Oak. I promise I'll repay you for everything. It's more than most people would have done." His hands settled on her lower hips and he caressed lightly.

"Don't talk like this is over, Mel. You don't have to repay me in anyway. This is what my family does and it should have been what your family did for you." Melody nodded as she laid bared before him, wishing she could believe him. Out of sight, he would soon forget about her but for now she could pretend. His hands moved lower and made her toes curl as she hid her face in the comforter, gasping slightly as his fingers stroked inside her.

"Fuck, I want you again." He removed his fingers and slid his hands underneath her hips.

"Yes, Oak. Please." She wiggled her ass as he pushed inside her, making her groan with feeling so full. The deeper angle had her arching back towards him, his hands gripping tightly to her hips as he quickened the pace.

Looking up she had forgotten her mirror was placed beside her bed and gave her the perfect visual of them. Oak's eyes caught hers in the reflection and she shuddered at his possessive, lustful look while her face was thrown back in ecstasy. Leaning forward he changed the angle and tugged at her clit, never moving his eyes as he strummed her body into chaos.
Her back was on fire but it felt too good to stop as she mewled for her release. His fingers were stroking her perfectly as his cock drove her mad with his rhythm. The visual of watching them threw her over the edge before Oak soon followed. She lay still, panting as she felt him wipe his release from between her legs,
"Come here, sweetheart." Melody melted into his embrace as he scooted them closer, facing each other.
"Oak, how long will I have to pretend to be someone else?" She drew circles with her finger over his naked chest, following the intricate lines of different tattoos.
"Not sure...it might be a while. A few years. You don't need to pretend anything, Mel. Just a new name and new faces for a while and me and the club will visit." She snuggled closer and took comfort in his words but knew she wouldn't live that life forever. Looking over her shoulder and playing long distance relationship was not something she saw as living the life she wanted. She would try if Oak was serious but knew it would fade away like a forgotten thought in no time at all.
Smiling she pressed her lips to his and whispered goodnight. His soft reply and tightening muscles made her feel safe. How would she feel in six months? How would he?
