Rain drizzled down the windows of the Tahoe as Wyatt pulled up in front of the Devil's bar, whistling as he looked at the building. He almost didn't recognize the new exterior and sign that now showcased the new name, Devil's Den.

"Wow, it came together so well." Melody exclaimed next to him. He looked over at her giddy expression as she stared through the windshield, taking in the changes that she had recommended. Looking back, he had to agree she had done a savage job on the makeover and was glad this was working out so far for her.

"Come on, let's see who showed up for your meeting." Wyatt led the way into the bar, Melody walking confidently behind him. He stepped to the side and took in the cleaner interior that looked more modern and less saloon without feeling like you had to dress up. It was still a biker bar with pool tables, high tops scattered around and liquor lined bar backs. They had even cleaned up the small fireplace area, creating a den like setting with couches and low tables nearby.

"Welcome to the Devil's Den. Gotta say, you had some good ideas and this came out easier than expected." Kaden spread his arms wide as he stood facing them before turning to include the others.   "This here is the usual crew that man's the place so have at 'em." Kaden crossed his arms, staring at Melody almost as if in challenge before taking a bar stool next to Wyatt. Looking over at him, Wyatt nodded before turning back to Melody who had stepped forward after thanking Kaden.

The "crew" consisted of club groupies and prospects from the looks of it but that didn't seem to phase Melody as she stood in front of them and started to lay out the law on how the place should be run. One girl had her jaw dropped as she stared at Melody before Wyatt saw recognition cross Melody's face.

"Nora? I had no idea you worked here as well?" Melody spoke up as he watched Nora close her jaw and nod meekly. They had met?

"I help out on Friday and Saturday nights." The girl wore too much makeup and right now looked like she was ready to serve herself. Without the makeup, she was probably pretty decent and her body was banging for sure but spilling out of the too tight clothing. Her eyes darted over to him and he flashed her a small smile, chuckling silently as she blushed and looked away.

"Great, maybe you'd rather help out here more than the grocery store? Definitely could use you more during the week." Wyatt tuned out as Melody started setting up schedules and job duties, spinning back to the bar to find Kaden watching him.

"Everything cool?" Wyatt asked as Kaden grabbed a bottle of Johnnie Walker and a few shot glasses.

"Sure is. I'm just here for the show like you. She's something, huh?" Kaden poured two glasses before pushing one towards Wyatt. Wyatt knew he had to tread carefully interacting with the Red Devil's. Their new alliance was still fragile and keeping Melody's cover had him on edge.  Being a prospect also meant he was still low on the totem pole and had to watch his mouth.

"She is." Wyatt didn't elaborate as he took the shot before pushing it away and spinning back around before leaning back against the bar.

"Ginger, such a fitting name. Shame she has to be hidden away because of her ex. You know much about that?" Wyatt had no idea what Kaden's game was, he had already been updated on everything he needed to know about her. He knew the name change, the coverup, the funeral, everything besides who was really chasing her. Playing along, he knew he had to give him something to keep his suspicions low.

"Yeah, some crazy detective from back east has the typical god complex and thinks if he can't have her than no one else will. He's not a good guy. I don't know the details but if my VP thinks this will keep her safe than I agree." Wyatt kept his face neutral, relieved when Kaden just nodded.

"My cousin, Chuck says her ex may already be in town. Said something about injuries that didn't make sense. Know anything about that?" Kaden swirled a second glass of whiskey in front of his face, not looking at Wyatt.

What the actual fuck was Chuck going on about?  Wyatt had thought it strange that he kept finding Chuck and Melody together but also knew it was more of Chuck's doing. Wyatt knew two bodies were already in the ground but no one outside the club should know that. Unless someone had let something slip but Wyatt wasn't going to be confirming anything, he was only a prospect after all.

"If he is then the Warrior's will take care of him but I haven't heard anything yet. If you're referring to her back, she had a bad fall hiking near Oak's house after avoiding a rattler. The same one that her dog got bitten by." Wyatt needed to check in with Oak because all these questions were making him nervous. Why were the Devil cousins so interested in Melody

"Hope you're right. I would hate to have anything happen to her if we were caught unaware." Kaden moved off the stool, not waiting for a response but leaving Wyatt feeling uncomfortable as he watched him disappear into the back.

"Hey, you okay?" Melody jumped up next to him, taking Kaden's vacant seat as she eyed the shot glass.

"Oh yeah, just had a couple with Kaden. All done here?" Wyatt needed to get to the car so he could make sure no one was listening when he talked with Oak.

"Yep! Tuesday night we'll be back and I think it's going to be great. Everyone seems excited anyway." Melody twirled on the stool as she seemed to be thinking.

"Okay, let's go grab something to eat." Melody nodded and followed him back out to the Tahoe. As soon as the doors were closed, Wyatt turned the truck on and left the parking lot  heading towards town.

"Kaden was asking some questions, said something about Chuck not believing your story. What happened that night before I found you at the bar?" Wyatt looked over at Melody and watched her eyes widen before she looked out the window.

"He seemed too interested in me and I had no idea why. I thought there was some rivalry thing between Chuck and Oak that was causing his interest." She sighed and looked back at him, confusion evident in her eyes.

"Did he say anything to you?" Wyatt wasn't aware of anything between Chuck and Oak besides their shared interest in women, namely Sasha but now Oak could care less about her. He had Melody. Was that why Chuck was now interested in her? He had come up on them in the bar and seen the fear and anger in her eyes as she had pushed past Chuck. Had he come on to her at the bar?

"Not really, no. You interrupted us which I am thankful for. He got a little handsy but otherwise didn't say much." Melody was quiet and Wyatt didn't push further. If he got handsy than it made sense that he may be trying to pull something. He needed to talk with Oak and make sure nothing had changed. It didn't make sense why Chuck would think Melody's ex was already in town.

"I'm going to call Oak and check in. Can you grab me some general Tso's and whatever you want." Wyatt handed her a couple bills before pulling his cell phone out, watching her walk inside before dialing.

"What's up Wyatt?" Oak's voice came through with music blaring in the background.

He heard the noise lessening and waited for Oak to find some where quieter. "I just had an interesting conversation with Kaden about Chuck. Is anything going on that I need to know about?" He heard the pause and closed his eyes, waiting for the ball to drop.

"We are not sure, that's why I haven't called you. It's easy for people to hide in Denver and there was a rumor from the HA chapter that someone was asking questions about a little red head this week. Maybe the cartel sent some sniffers out but we haven't been able to locate anyone. I'm hoping they'll catch wind of her funeral and that'll be it." Oak stated, frustration evident in his voice.

Gripping the steering wheel, Wyatt watched the entrance of the Chinese restaurant. "What about Chuck? Melody said he got handsy the night Sasha attacked you." He didn't mention the baby, knowing he had no right to say or ask anything about that.

"What?! She never said anything. I remember him at the ride talking to her, but what the fuck happened at the bar?" He growled out. Wyatt tightened his hold on the steering wheel, he figured Melody would have said something. Then again, she was stubborn and probably thought she handled it without needing Oak's help.

"She didn't tell me anything else, said I found her before anything happened." Wyatt heard the punch against the wall. Shit, did he fuck up not saying something sooner?

"Don't worry about Chuck. Make sure his fucking cousin keeps to himself and I'll be back up there next weekend. Where is she?" His voice softened at the end.

"Grabbing Chinese food, she should be walking out any minute." Wyatt stared through the drizzle, waiting for the door to open.

"Don't let her out of your sight. I know I said to give her breathing room but too much shit is up in the air right now and I don't like it." The call ended and Wyatt put the phone away. He didn't need a response, Oak knew Wyatt would do as he was told. Drumming his fingers on the steering wheel, he breathed a sigh of relief as she ran outside, avoiding the puddles and jumped into the passenger seat.

"Phew, got it. How'd it go with Oak?" Melody and Oak talked every night so he knew tonight she would find out about him blowing her cover on the Chuck issue.

"There might be some cartel guys in Denver, but Oak thinks they'll leave once they find out your dead. Uh, I didn't realize you didn't tell him about Chuck bothering you." Keeping his eyes on the road, he waited for her response.

"I kept meaning to ask him about Chuck but it just didn't seem as important as everything else going on. Did he seem mad?" Her voice got small and made him quick to reassure her.

"He's not mad at you. As for Chuck, he's the one in big trouble." Wyatt smiled at the thought of Oak punching Chuck. Melody must have thought the same as she broke out in a giggle. Relaxing, he was glad she wasn't upset with him and seemed more concerned with how Oak felt. He wasn't going to fuck up this time, no matter what he'd be dead before anyone got through to her.

                 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lying in her bed, Melody held her phone on her chest as she heard the ringing on speaker stop as he answered.

"Sweetheart, how was your day?" Hearing his deep voice made her shiver, wishing he was lying next to her.

"Good, Oak. I'm sorry I never said anything about Chuck. It didn't seem that big of a deal." Even though Wyatt had said he wasn't mad, she still felt better clearing the air.

"It's alright, you have nothing to be sorry for. I plan to have a little chat with him, so he understands to leave you alone. Let me know next time, that's all I ask." She nodded, forgetting he wasn't right in front of her.

"I miss you. Wyatt said you'll be here next weekend?" She couldn't wait to see him again and felt better every day they got to talk that this would all work out.

"I can't wait to see you sweetheart. Just be safe, I know Wyatt told you about Denver."

"I will. What about you? How are you holding up? Has Sasha said anything more about...the baby?" Melody was still struggling with the fact that Oak might be having a child with her even though he felt confident it wasn't his.

"Sweetheart, there is nothing to worry about. She said she lost the baby this week. There is no baby anymore, if there ever was one. She seems to have latched onto Chuck." She had no response to that. Relief that it was no longer true but also sad; what if it had been Oak's. Would he be upset if he had known for sure the baby was his. Did he want children?

" Your thinking too much, Mel. It wasn't mine and she seems happier now and accepting of the fact that we will never be anything ever again. I want you and I can't wait to show you how much when I get there." A goofy smile lit up her face at his words. She couldn't wait either.

"Oh yeah? I would love to hear what you have planned." Melody felt heat pool between her legs as she skimmed her hand over her lower stomach, wishing it was Oak's instead.

"What are you wearing?" Melody looked down at her black panties and white tank, her nipples erect and poking through.

"Panties and a tank top. I wish your fingers were in them instead of mine." She heard his sharp intake of breath and smiled, rubbing herself as her other hand thumbed her nipple.

"You would be out of them already and my tongue deep inside you. I can't wait to be inside you again. Fuck, Melody put your finger inside your pussy, tell me how wet you are."

"Oak...it feels so good. My panties are soaked." She pushed two fingers in and out of her pussy, imagining it was Oak as she heard his heavy breathing through the phone. Well, that escalated quickly.

"I want you to cum for me, Mel. Make that sweet pussy cum for me."

"Yes, Oak. Please...fuck me." Her orgasm washed over her, hard and fast, built up from so many restless nights.

"Damn, sweetheart. I wish I was there so I could." Coming down, she removed her fingers from her panties and sat up against the headboard. She had never done that before but Oak made it so easy to want to try new things and get her out of her own head. Her past, he had no clue about and thought her issues stemmed from what he knew of her ex. Swallowing hard, she pushed those feelings away and returned to her post orgasm glow, yawning loudly without meaning to.

"Sweetheart, get some rest. I'll be there before you know it."

       "Okay. Night, Oak."

"Night, Melody." Placing her phone on the bedside table, she pulled the covers over herself and drifted off hoping next weekend came soon.
