Iris couldn't understand why Isis was acting so distant from her lately. She would come home from work and not even acknowledge her. Most of her time was spent with Bradley. Isis would even eat out majority of the time and not even bring Iris a doggy bag home. Iris sat on the couch flipping through the channels and sipping on a Budlight Strawberita. As always it was Wednesday night and after seven and Isis still wasn't home yet. Iris knew she had to have some papers or something to grade.

Iris thought that maybe it had something to do with the fact of Matt's wife popping up at the house while she was gone.

"That was embarrassing as fuck! Bradley was here and looked at me like I was crazy. I'm not going to let you and your whorish ways cost me the man I love," Isis had told her when she returned home that night. All Iris could do was offer her a sincere apology. She admitted to her sister that she had been sloppy and needed to do better. At that moment she had even felt a little regret about losing Jacob.

"Its water under the bridge now," Iris said to herself with a soft chuckle. Drinking on an empty stomach always gave her a fast buzz. That was the plan. She felt herself spiraling down into a deep depression. She needed her twin sister. Iris craved her positive energy and wittiness. Fiddling with her phone, she debated on calling her mother even though she was sure Isis had filled her in about the situation. And truthfully, she didn't have time for a lecture. Hell, she was a grown ass woman. Iris laughed as she thought back on her life to the days when she was the "good" twin. Her parents never saw any wrong in her. If there was ever an issue, Isis, the mischievous one was blamed first.

The tables turned when they graduated high school and chose different paths. Isis pursued her dream and became a teacher. Iris on the other hand elected to attend a community college and obtain her Cosmetology License. That's where she met Jerod. It was then when their parents figured out that all along they had been raising a daughter that they didn't know. With a sigh, Iris picked up the can and drank the last of her drink. She went to the kitchen and opened another one. This time she mixed it with the rest of the 1800 that she'd purchased the night before.

Not long after that, she started getting warm all over her body. Knowing that she had access to Isis' car since she'd caught an Uber to work. Iris was sure that Bradley was chauffeuring her around wherever else she needed to go since she had yet to come home. Iris shrugged her shoulders as if she really didn't care and logged on to her favorite dating site, Plenty of Fish. It wasn't surprising that she had twenty unread messages. Flirting with men on the dating site was her favorite thing to do at night when she got bored.

As she smiled and even laughed at a few of the messages in her inbox, her phone chimed. Someone had texted her. When she scrolled through her phone, she saw that the message was from Matt.

"I know this motherfucker ain't texting me now," said Iris. She had texted him multiple times the day Isis had called her heated about his wife coming to the house. She even called him and left a voicemail letting him know that he needed to control his wife. She hadn't received a response from him at all until now. Today was a new day and she wanted to see what the hell he wanted. Iris dialed his number and awaited his response. Surprisingly, he answered on the first ring. She was sure he had the phone in his hand at the time.

"Hello beautiful," Matt's voice boomed through the phone.

"What the hell do you want? I called and texted you several times the other night and you never responded" said Iris. She was mad as hell.

"First of all, my phone has been missing. I just got it returned back today," said Matt. Iris wasn't trying to hear it.

"Can you hear me?" asked Matt after Iris didn't respond.

"Yes, I'm waiting on you to come up with something credible enough for me to believe," said Iris annoyed.

"Baby, I didn't have my phone and that's the truth. I swear to God. My soon to be ex-wife is taken care of. You won't ever have to worry about that again.," said Matt.

"Look Matt, I don't care about you and your wife's problems. Wait a minute. Yes, I do. Tell that bitch that she has threatened the wrong one," Iris spat into the phone. She felt herself getting even more pissed off.

"Oh, she knows. And, please don't break my heart. I knew from the first time I saw you that you were the one that I'd been waiting on. And then you put that pussy on me. I Kid you not. I prayed to God for a woman like you. What do y'all call yourselves? Aren't you a Goddess or something," Matt asked. Iris could tell by the tone of his voice that he was being sincere. He honestly didn't know how to talk respectfully to a black woman. But, she didn't give a damn how he talked to the black woman that he was married to. However, she was a different story.

"Don't ever call me again. If I see you anywhere near my house, I'm going to fucking kill you. That goes for your wife too. You are one of the most unattractive men that I have ever laid eyes on. And, I don't know what kind of arrangement that you have with your wife, but your dick is sorry as fuck. I bet her pussy is too," said Iris before she abruptly disconnected to call. Afterwards, she blocked his number. Then she thought about it. What if she got bored one day. She unblocked him and sipped on her mixed drink as she continued to scroll through the dating site.

No one appealing was really jumping out at her. She responded back to a few men. But, she wasn't really feeling going out. Iris couldn't believe it. There had never been a night that she had felt that way. To say that she was in her feelings was an understatement. Iris sighed. She needed her sister.
