I tell Sarah what happened and she listens and continues to hug me. She doesn't break the silence. She knows I need it. After a few minutes, I've stopped crying. I move back a bit so I can look at Sarah. She takes a deep breath. "You better?"

I nod. "Yeah, tha-"

She kisses me. I immediately close my eyes, melting in the feel of her lips on mine. This was what I had been waiting for for so long. Then I freeze. Something isn't right. It doesn't hold the passion I imagined it would. I pull away. "No. Stop." I run off, leaving Sarah breathing heavily. 

As I turn the corner, I hear her call out, "You know you liked it!"
