Aria's Pov

"Yes?" The mayor asks looking at me confused and suspicious.

"I-" before I could start there was a knock on his door.

"Come in," the mayor says as some other guard comes in with an elderly woman behind him.

"Sir, the accountant from the bank is here." The guard informs him.

Shit.

"What?!" The mayor stands up and looks at me with a scowl. "Then who are you?" He asks me.

"I'm I...am-" when I hesitated replying him the mayor turned his narrowed eyes towards me.

"Guards, hold her down." The mayor orders and the guard at the door immediately comes and hold me as one more comes behind him as they both surround me.

"How did you let her in without checking her id?!" He yells at the guards. "Someone goes and call Alok." The mayor orders and I hear someone running outside of his office.

My God, this looks bad. Really bad!! I have to tell him the truth before he catches Alok and he calls his mate and they kill Ahana.

"Sir, please hear me out." I say but the mayor ignores me and walks towards the lady who just came in from bank asking for her id. When he was satisfied that indeed she was from the bank he asks her to go and wait outside.

"You-" the mayor walks towards me and glares down at me. "Who sent you? And why are you here?" He asks.

"I swear I'm not here willingly; I was forced to come here." I tell him immediately and he looks down at me with narrowed eyes.

"Who sent you?" He asks again and before I could say anything someone comes at the door.

"Sir, Alok has ran away." The guard informs and the mayor curses out.

"I knew I shouldn't have trusted that man!" He mutters pacing around irritated.

He walks back towards me and takes the gun from one if the guard and points it at me. "Tell me, tell me who sent you!!" He threatens me.

"Ronit, Ronit sent me."

"Who is Ronit?"

"I don't know!" I say truthfully. I don't even know that boy and because of him I'm at gunpoint.

"Don't fake around, tell me who is he!" He orders me when we heard shouting coming from outside. I frown when I heard a familiar voice as suddenly relied washed over me. Zain, it was Zain's voice.

"What is going on?!" The mayor shouts and walks out as the guards push me to follow outside. I give the guards a mean glare.

"Some college boy is trying to barge in." One of the guards informs as we step outside the mansion to see some guards holding down Zain.

"I know him," I say and the mayor looks at me with a scowl and gestures the guard to bring Zain to him.

Zain still hasn't seen me, when the guard reached him, he brings Zain inside the gate and ushers him to follow. Mayor walks towards him as we follow the mayor.

Zain's eyes automatically come towards me as his posture relaxes a bit in relief as if he was relived after seeing me. His eyes scan my body up and down, maybe looking for injuries and when he sees that I was perfectly fine, he lets out a relieved breath. His eyes come towards mine as we stare at each other, his eyes go towards the guards beside me who had held me by my elbows on each side. His jaw clenches hard as he glared at both the guards beside me.

"Are you Ronit?" The mayor asks going towards Zain.

Zain looks at him startled as if wondering how he knows about Ronit but doesn't think about it more and shakes his head. "No, I'm Zain." He answers.

A shiver run down my body hearing his voice. God! I didn't know someone telling their own name is sexy! Aria, get a grip, this is not the time to think things like that! I scold myself and focus my attention back to their conversation.

"Then who is Ronit? And how do you know her?" The mayor asks as the guards stop Zain from coming towards me. He grits his teeth irritated but let's go and answers the mayor.

"She's my girlfriend." He declares startling the mayor, including me.

Girlfriend? When did this happen?

"And what is she doing here?" The mayor asks. "Tell me or else I'll make sure she will be staying in jail forever." He says.

"No!" Zain says almost immediately. "I'll tell you; I'll tell you everything." Zain says as I see a jeep and a bike coming towards the mansion.

"Now who are they?" The mayor looks irritated and tired looking at all the new people arriving at his mansion.

Abeer and Aarav comes out of the followed by some unfamiliar bulky man in a uniform. The man says something to the guard as he nods his head and walks towards the mayor.

He says something to the mayor and mayor looked confused but nods his head. The other guard lets in the man and both the boys.

"Hello Mr.Rai, I'm Rayaan D'souza." Rayaan says forwarding his hand as mayor shakes it.

"Hello, can you tell me what is going on?! And who is Ronit?" Mayor asks as he takes Ronit's name as if he was offended by that name.

"Of course sir, but can you please first leave her." He says pointing at me and mayor was about to shake his head when Rayaan spoke again. "I assure you she is not to be blamed here, and I'm personal detective of Mr Malhotra." Rayaan informs him.

Mr Malhotra? I look at Abeer, sensing my eyes towards him he smiles at me assuring.

"Mr Malhotra? You mean the business tycoon Ashok Malhotra?" Mayor asks and Rayaan nods his head.

Abeer walks towards him. "Yes sir, I'm his son Abeer Malhotra, and she is my friend and she was blackmailed into coming here, it's not her fault. And he's my friend too." Abeer says pointing at me then at Zain.

Mayor looks at him and as if he realizes something, he nods his head. "Yes, Abeer. I think we met last month." Mayor says and Abeer smiles.

"Yes, sir we did, it was one of my dad's party," Abeer says and the mayor nods.

"Yes, yes I remember." He nods his head and looks at the guards. "Release them." He instructs and the guards releases their hold on me and Zain and without further delay Zain ran towards me.

"Are you okay?" He asks when he reaches me and cradles my face in his hands. I nod my head with a happy smile on my face. Finally!! He was here, and me in his arms.

"Tell me everything." Our stance was broken hearing Mayor's voice as we look at them. Rayaan nods his head and start explaining everything there was to explain and about what happened.

I let out a sigh of relief when I heard that Ahana was found and now she and Ranbir along with Varun were at her house, making sure she was ok.

"Also, there is one more thing." Rayaan says as he finishes his explanation.

"What?" The mayor asks as he nods his head as he listened to everything Rayaan was telling. The last bit Rayaan said was unheard by everyone of us as he leaned towards the mayor and informed him. The mayor looked startled but nods his head.

"It will be done, don't worry." The mayor informs to Rayaan and I look at Zain confused. When he shrugged his arms, I knew he didn't know anything too.

"We'll come back tomorrow, for now I think they should get home." Rayaan says pointing at us.

The mayor agreed and turned towards me. "I'm sorry for the way I behaved..."

"Aria." I say my name as Zain caress my arms asking to go on. "No need to apologize sir, you were just doing your job. I'm sorry for the unconvinced I had caused; I swear I was forced." I tell and the mayor laughs.

"Yes, yea aria, Mr D'souza told me everything. We will meet tomorrow but for now go and take some rest it's late." The mayor says and I nod giving him a genuine smile.

"Thank you." Zain mutters from beside me as the mayor nods his head as he heads inside his mansion followed by Rayaan. But he stops and walks towards us.

"Go home all of you, the mayor has called us tomorrow for some legal talks, I'll inform you about that later." Rayaan tells us.

"Thank you." I say to Rayaan as he nods his head. He looks so serious all the time; I wonder if he ever smiles.

With that he goes inside the mansion. And suddenly I was surrounded by three boys asking and bombarding questions all the while making sure that I was okay.
