Zain's Pov

"How was your day mate?" Aarav ask taking seat beside me as we sat in my room playing video games.

"Awesome." I say genuinely happy. He looks at me with his brows raised and smiled.

I was really happy today. I spent my day with my espresso. I loved calling her with that name, it just suited her personality.

She was bitter sweet like it, she would be bitter to those people who don't like her and sweet to those she loves heartily. I smiled remembering the evident blush she sported whenever I called her that even if she tried hiding it.

I was happy that everything was okay with us but I don't think I can continue with the 'just friends' act with her. We had been friends for just two days and still it didn't feel right, it felt like it was something more between us, something pure and something special. But it never felt like these feelings could be felt with friends.

I know I loved her but what about now, do I still love her? Was that why I was hesitant when she asked us to be friends and I had accepted it with a heavy heart? The whole day today I kept staring at her trying to understand why was I feeling this way.

Today when she got pissed when I lied about that disorder, I had a sudden panic thinking now she wouldn't want to talk to me and leave but I was proved wrong when instead of getting out she took the tickets from my hand and entered inside the circus.

I never felt so relived than I had that time. Then again there was my mom, who was interrogating me when I had reached home. Apparently when I entered my home after dropping Aria at hers, I was sporting a huge smile on my face and my mom looked at me suspiciously.

And since then she is bugging me asking who had brought that smile on my face. I wasn't just going to tell her that I was seeing the same girl I had been seeing two years back. She knew about Aria when I had accidentally left my room door open and she had heard me leaving an apologetic voice mail on Aria's number.

I sighed thinking what would be her reaction when I will tell her that the smile on my face was because of the same girl I had loved...or maybe still do, has friend zoned me.

I came out of my thoughts when Ranbir spoke. "Happy for you man." He mutters from behind me not really looking up from his cell and I knew he must be chatting with Ahana.

"Thanks." I say continuing my game when I remembered it had been fifteen minutes since Abeer was in my balcony talking furiously on his phone. I wonder what happened.

And just like that he barged inside my room and slumped on my bed looking angry. Varun looked up from the book he was reading and frowned.

"What happened?" Varun asked keeping the book aside.

"It's Ronit." He mutters and just like that Ranbir who was busy in his phone looked up irritated and frustrated.

"What the hell does he want now?" Ranbir asked irritated.

"He is asking for money so we can bail him out of jail." He says and I looked at him puzzled.

"He's in jail?" Aarav asked unbelievably.

"Yeah, he had a fight this morning with one of the boys in college and police had arrested him. His parents denied bailing him out so he thought he will blackmail us." Abeer explains.

"Why would he even think we will bail him out?" Varun asks.

"Don't know what's going on in his mind, he said if we don't bail him out he will..." he says and stops to look at us.

We raise our brows confused waiting for him to continue. "He will make sure to make our lives hell, and that's not it. His friends or what he likes to call them, 'his men', are still outside jail and they will make sure we bail him out or else he will take extreme measures." He says and an uneasy feeling crept inside me.

"Why was he fighting with that college boy in the morning?" I ask curious and I know the boys knows about it. It just happened today and I wasn't there.

"Apparently, he was seen selling drugs at parties and the boy who fought with him in the morning was some said brother of some said sister who consumed that drug, and that's why the boy was angry and picked up a fight with Ronit."

To say I was stunned with the information. Drugs!! That was such a dangerous and hazardous word to even say and he was selling it!! I can't believe that boy.

"But why? I thought he was pretty rich, why would he want to sell drugs and earn money?" Varun says in wonderment.

Abeer just shrugs his arms. "I don't know he says if we don't bail him out in next two hours, he will take some action." And just like that the atmosphere in my room tensed hearing this.

"I'm going to the police right now." Varun stood up irritated and angry. Ranbir nod his head and stood up too when Abeer stopped them.

"Stop!!" He says and frustratingly massages his temples. "There's one more thing I need to tell you." He says and gestures for us to stand up. He walks out in my balcony and we follow him.

"Look down there," he says and pointed at a beaten down white colour van that was standing exactly outside my apartment building.

"What the hell? Who are they?" I ask as I saw two men looking up at us. They looked deadly.

"They are his men, he said not to tell anything to police or else his men will come and get us." Abeer explains and I felt uneasiness creeping inside me.

"Why the hell aren't his men bailing him out?" Aarav asks exasperated.

"If they do, they will be asked questions about how they produced so much money to bail him out!!" He explains and then points at himself, "And he knows my father is rich, so his only option was to call me and demand for help." He says and our face confronts into one of realization and soon anger.

"There must be something we could do!!" Varun asks looking at Abeer.

Abeer nods his head and enters my room as we follow him. I make sure to close my balcony door, even if I stayed on seventh floor.

"I will call dad and explain everything to him, hopefully he will help us out." Abeer tells and I sighed in relief knowing Abeer was actually close to his father and his father will do help him out. Let's just hope no one gets hurt.

"Hey kids, dinner is ready." My mom's voice echoes throughout the house and just like that Aarav long jumps and dashes out the room towards kitchen. I shake my head knowing he is a big fan of my mom's food, especially her handmade Biryani.

It was after an hour that we had our dinner and were in my room and Abeer was talking with his dad explaining things.

I looked up at Ranbir he looked worried and tensed as he tried calling someone. We all looked at him worriedly.

"Ranbir?" Varun calls him out but Ranbir still looked worried. "Man, what's wrong?" Varun asks again and this time Ranbir looks up at him.

"It's Ahana. She isn't picking up my calls." He says and we sigh letting out a chuckle.

"She must be in the washroom or must be sleeping Ranbir, stop worrying." Aarav says and I nod but Ranbir shakes his head.

"No, she wasn't sleeping." Ranbir mutters and looks at me and fear creeps down my spine. "She and Aria were out shopping and now none of them are picking up calls." And just like that I was out of my seat and dashing towards where my phone was.

And true to Ranbir's words Aria wasn't picking up calls too. No!! This can't happen, not my friends!! Not my Aria!! I looked frantically towards my friends to see them trying to calm me and Ranbir down.

But I wasn't calm, not when my Aria was supposedly in danger. God!! Please keep them safe!! Aria, please be safe I'm coming. I prayed to God as I make my way out of the room followed by the boys and confused looking Abeer.

And God forbid if this was Ronit's doing, I will personally bail him out and beat the shit out of him and no one can stop me.
