Zain's Pov

This is a dream.

This is definitely a dream.

A dream where I saw Aria in my college and she was sitting in front of me with that Ragha- Rancho or something boy. And the dream went as far as she saying she has shifted here in Jaipur, permanently. As if.

Now I will open my eyes and the dream would go. Saying that to myself I opened my eyes to see the ceiling of my room and the faint sunlight coming from the windows.

I sigh and did my morning chores and walked out greeting my mom good morning. She was making breakfast as I sat down on the table.

"So, when is dad coming?" I ask her, he is again on one of his business trips and he is gone for a week this time.

"Maybe tonight, I haven't talked to him since yesterday." She answers and I frown. Hope he doesn't get into any other trouble this time. Last month he was put in jail because he tried speeding the car when he was drunk and mom had to try and search for the lawyer the whole night.

He is been like that since his sister did a fraud and took half of their parents' property to herself. And that was last year. I sigh and look at my mom, oh mom why did it had to be you.

Once done with my breakfast I walked out towards my bike bidding my mom bye. Once half the way to college I stopped at the general store to buy some snacks and my eyes went towards a figure who was standing at the booth beside the store.

The figure was stomping their foot, talking animatedly to...to themself?

I ignored and walked inside the store and bought some lays and of course chocolates for the ever hungry Ahana and Aarav who are mad after them.

Once I paid for the items I was about to walk out of the store when I heard the voice that made me stop in my tracks.

"Dad I'm lost, why did you leave me at the corner?"

"Yeah I know you were late for your office but what do I do now? I'm LOST."

"Fine. I will ask for the directions here, and this is the last time you're leaving ne like this."

With that her conversation with her dad was over before she put the phone back and stomped her leg in frustration. Aria. So, it wasn't a dream after all, she was really here.

I ignored her and walked out of the store before she could have time to turn around and see me. I put the items I bought in my bag and sat on the bike when I saw her asking a man walking at the roadside in my rear-view mirror.

He gave her hand directions but I can tell this girl was very bad in finding places. Because that girl can get lost in her own room if it was up to her.

I noticed her walking further down the road as she kept looking her surrounding and I sighed heavily when she reached one corner and played with her hairs as she looked where the roads were going, one at left and one at right. I'm definitely sure she forgot if it was left or right, and I was confirmed when she took the right side of the road when the college road was at the left.

This girl.

I was conflicting whether I should help her or not because one, I don't want to interact with her and talk with her and second, because I know she won't come with me and deny it and I would embarrass myself.

I finally gave up and rode my bike behind her not before putting on my helmet. As I reached towards her and stooped the bike a little ahead of her she stopped in her steps and looked at me surprised.

I can tell she hasn't recognized me yet because of my helmet but she just ignored me waiting there and walked from beside me.

What the...

Here I was waiting for her and she walks away from me?

Frustrated I honked the horn of my bike and she looked back at me confused but again ignored me and started walking. I again honked the horn but she kept walking.

Gritting my teeth in irritation I started the bike again and went towards her honking the horn when she looked at me irritated.

"What the hell do you want?" She asks and I stop the bike before her. I glared at her and remove my helmet from my head and her once irritated eyes went wide in shock as she noticed it was me on the bike.

"YOU?" She almost yelled looking at me once she realized it was me who had been honking the bike behind her.

"Get on," I say without any explanation and she glares at me.

"Huh," she says shocked and looks behind me. "Never." She says and start walking again.

"Aria," I shout at her but she didn't stop and walked ahead. This girl is going to get me late for my class.

I knew what she would say and reject the offer but I was a fool in asking her again. "You're going in the wrong direction." I yelled behind her and that made her stop in her tracks.

She turned back shocked and looked around again. "No, I'm in right direction, a left from here and I would reach my destination."

"Yeah a left from here and you would reach Mental Asylum, your destination." I say and her once smirking face turned into a red face.

"How dare you?" She yelled at me and I just smirked. "Are you making fun of me?" She asks bewildered.

"Not at all, you can ask anyone here." I say and she stares at me for some seconds before asking the boy walking beside her.

"Hey where does the left road from there goes to?" She asks pointing ahead of her.

"Mental Asylum." The boy's answers and walks ahead and the smirk on my face just widens tenfold.

Aria just stood on her place looking everywhere but me, she was embarrassed that I can tell.

"Come on." I say again and she looks up at me. Her eyes filled with hesitation but the fear of sitting behind me was more evident. She didn't want to sit behind me, especially.

"No, it's okay, just give me the directions." She says standing there swinging on her left and right leg as she played with the scarf around her neck.

I closed my eyes and took a long breath to calm myself down, this girl is so stubborn.

"Just get on the bike Aria, I know you would get lost again." I say and she looks up at me surprised.

"I won't, just tell me- ahhh," she yelled as I got down my bike and walked towards her and she tried to run away but I took hold of her hand before she could.

Familiar tingles whenever I touched her spread through me as our hands came in contact. Startled I stared at our hands memorized at how good they looked together.

Aria's gaze was on them too when all of a sudden, I saw a car coming towards us that I pulled her closer towards me and she bumped into my chest making her eyes widen.

"OMG!" she said startled and I tried hard not to smile at that word which she often used whenever she is shocked or surprised.

But suddenly I realized what I was doing and with whom I was doing, the girl who cut all the contact with me all of a sudden when we were all okay during the flight. I still couldn't erase her voice of that day.

"It's over Zain, don't ever try to call me again."

And just like that I stepped back from her. She looked up at me surprised at my sudden moment and I could see a hint of pain and longing in her eyes.

"Just...just get on the bike." I say and started walking towards the bike. I can sense her following behind me with slow steps.

I sat on the bike and put on the helmet and waited for her. As she reached me she looked hesitant for a second but nonetheless she tried getting on the bike without touching me. And that was making it difficult for her to do so.

Once she finally sat on the bike she sighed and I rolled my eyes as I removed the helmet from my head and passed it to her.

Knowing her sitting at the very end of the bike, she needs it more than I do. "Take it," I say with my firm voice and sensing that she took the helmet immediately without any further arguments.

I started the bike and turned around and rode towards the college, it was five minutes ride and we were already inside the college gate. I stopped the bike at the parking as she tried to get down the bike in hurry which made her stumble backwards, in order to steady herself she clutched my shoulders tightly making me tense under her touch.

She hurriedly removed her hand from my shoulders and gave me my helmet back. Her cheeks had turned beetroot red once her face was revealed to me. I bit back my smile.

"Uh...thanks for the ride." She says without looking up at me. I nod my head and without saying anything else she ran towards the college building.

I kept looking at her as she disappeared in the mass of students that I was no longer able to see her. When I finally came back to my senses I turned to my left and mentally facepalmed.

Don't tell me...

Standing there with the support of a car was Ranbir and Varun, smirks evident on their faces while Aarav stood beside Ranbir with a scowl.

"Aarav," Ranbir says looking at Aarav and smirked. "I win."

And I know without a doubt they put a bet on me. Those Assholes.

I saw as Aarav removed something from his bag and hand over it to Ranbir. Upon looking at it clearly, it was the latest game he had brought last month.

I can't believe he bet his favourite game on me.

"What was the bet?" I ask them.

"That you will definitely interact with Aria today and I WON." Ranbir says and wiggled his eyebrows at Aarav, teasing him.

I still wonder till this date that how on the earth did that boy got a girlfriend before any one of us.✩✩✩
