"Max. Hey, Max. Maaax!" Casey waved her hand in front of Max. She has been calling her attention for while but it seemed that Max was drowning in her thoughts.

Max looked at Casey, finally awake from her thoughts. "What?"

"What's going on with you today?" Casey asked, her face was very worried.

"N-nothing." Max quickly answered.

"Are you sure? You've been poking your salad for like 5 minutes now." Sophia said.

"I'm fine, really." Max said, looking at her uneaten salad. She looked at everyone in the table and all of them were staring at her.

"Did you hit your head or something?" Brittany joined.

"No. No. I'm not really hungry." Max said, grabbing her plate and went to the sink. Seriously? Have I been spacing out? She gave a sigh. She knew she wasn't fine. She knew there was something wrong with her. She couldn't stop thinking about last night: the scene, the ache in her chest and that kiss.

That was the first time she was kissed in a way like last night. It was gentle, pure and intimate that not only did she feel the kiss on her lips but it went through her soul. Her heart ache when he went deepen such kiss. She shivered when he brought her closer to him, his arms gripping her tiny waist.

But even such wonderful moment couldn't stop from making Max wonder, was that for her?

"Are you sure, you're not sick?" Emilia asked, already beside her. Max looked at Emilia's gray eyes-for the first time, Max could see that she was concern of her.

"I'm not." Max answered, looking away. She shouldn't be feeling this way but, she was angry with Emilia. Doesn't she know how lucky she was that there was a man so in love with her and she just threw it away?

Her hand was about to turn in to a fist but she stop. You can't do this, Max. She's your friend.

"Did something happened last night perhaps?" Emilia asked, her voice soft and gentle.

"No. Everything was fine. In fact, last night was great. Really great." Max couldn't help but let out a slight anger in her voice. "In fact, both of us let out a piece of ourselves-of what we really felt inside and do you know what he let out?" She couldn't stop it anymore. "That some ungrateful bitch broke his heart once-" She stopped when she saw Emilia's eyes widen. Everyone in the room let out a soft gasp and Max looked around to see that everyone was already staring at them-in disbelief.

"Max." Casey called out to her and Max knew she went too much. Emilia looked away and turned around, walking away from the kitchen and went upstairs.

"I'm sorry. I-I'm really sorry." I said too much.

Casey entered the room and saw Max sitting on the bed, embracing her legs. There was quite a tension that happened during brunch and it was sad to see the two-who just recently became friends-had such a scenario.

"Hey, Max." Casey said, trying to have some enthusiasm in her voice but it didn't work for Max. She still sat on the bed, embracing her legs-a thing she does when she gets worried about something.

"I said too much, didn't I?" Max said.

"Well...uh..." Casey sat beside her, coming up with some words that wouldn't sound agreeing.

"I know I did." Max sighed. "I should have kept my mouth shut but my emotions got the better of me."

"Hmm..uh.." Casey couldn't think of any other things to cool everything down.

"You should have seen the expression on her face. It was-" Max closed her eyes.

Rubbing her back was all Casey could ever do. "I think that she should hear that she really did hurt Ian. Although, saying an "ungrateful bitch" was pretty too much."

"And very unlady like. How is she?" Max looked at Casey.

"She hasn't went out from her room."

"Who's going out with Ian now?"

"Sophia."

Max nodded and tighten a smile. "I think I should apologize to Emilia."

Although it took an amount of courage just walking across the hallway and into Emilia's room but Max knew that it was the right thing to do. She knocked three times before Emilia opened the door.

"Uhm...about ago...uh...the things I said...uh..." Max looked down, playing with her fingers. She couldn't find the exact words or rather she thinks that words might not be enough to erase the tension. "I said things...that was way too much. Way , way too much and I'm really really sorry. It wasn't any of my business and I should've just let you two deal with your...uh...problem."

"Max, it's fine. "Ungrateful bitch" hurt but, I accept your apology."

Max looked up, surprised. "That's it?"

"Y-yeah." Emilia replied, looking puzzled. "There were things that were right although, the way you said them were vulgar."

"Yeah. Sorry."

Emilia gave her a tight smile and rubbed her shoulders. "We're fine. Everything's fine."

Max managed to nod and replied her smile. "Yeah."

Max looked at the lobby where the crew and the staff were hustling to organize another elimination night. Although it was the 6th elimination night, she still couldn't get used to it. All the time, she would feel nervous and anxious even though she knows she wouldn't get eliminated.

"Well, if I'll be the one who gets eliminated, it wouldn't be so bad. But, if I'll be the who gets saved, I'll really throw a f*cking party." Sophia told Max, as she wrapped her arms around her shoulder as they descend together down the staircase with their flowing dresses. "Like really drinks and all."

"Is it even allowed here?" Casey asked.

"They wouldn't even care if we have a night skinny dipping here." Sophia told her, breaking away from Max.

"Ladies, position yourselves now." Mr. Richfield called them, signalling them to hurry up. When they all formed a single line facing him, he began to tell them an important news. "Just so you know, ladies, She's One in a Million has just started airing the show tonight."

Oh my god. People would see me here now. The thought made Max even more nervous-the things from her past would eventually leaked out. She closed her eyes and exhaled when a hand touched her shoulders.

"Don't get nervous. I think you're a likable character here." Michael Anderson flashed her a smile.

"Thanks, Michael." That's not really the issue here though.

"We're starting to shoot in a minute." the director shouted.

Ian once again was holding the rose in his hand, looking at Sophia and Brittany. Neither of them held hands. Sophia stood there in confidence as if she has prepared to whatever would come to her. Brittany, in the other hand, looked nervous that Max could see beads of sweat on her well-nature face.

Max watched Ian walking towards them and stopped. He looked around first until his gaze went to Max. She slowly looked down, avoiding his gaze and realized that Emilia was beside her. He wasn't looking at me but to Emilia. Max was so deep in her thoughts when she didn't notice that Ian has already handed the rose to Brittany. Her gasped made Max looked up and her eyes widen at Ian's very puzzling decision.

Sophia smiled rather and gave a disgust face to Brittany when she fell to the ground, holding her knees for support. Ian aided Brittany near to the other girls and offered her a seat and some fan. When the crew helped her, Ian went to Sophia and whispered something to her which made Sophia smiled and embraced him and too, whispered to his ear. The two broke away and Ian gestured his arms to the other girls where Sophia embraced each of the girls.

"We'll really miss you." Max said, as she was embraced by Sophia.

"Me, too. I hope I'll see you again, girls." Sophia said, smiling, though Max could see tears in her eyes.

"We will. We absolutely will." Casey assured Sophia. Sophia smiled at them again and elegantly, left the Mansion.
