She’s In Love With A Geek is VERY different from Must Date The PLAYBOY.

Please do not compare the set up, the characters and the story line. It will never be the same because I created Chad and Courtney differently. So please refrain from saying that this is so not like MDTP because again, this is really not MDTP.

Thank you very much. Enjoy! <3

CHAPTER 9 – Flirtutor

** COURTNEY’s POV **

“Oh my Court, what happened to you!”

“Yeah! We’re looking for you. Where have you been?”

“Are you okay? Seriously Court, sending us that emergency thingy is so not cool. We thought that you’ve been hit by a bus or something!”

That’s the kind of welcome greeting I received from my friends the moment I stepped foot at my receiving area. I never expected them to be so worried like this after I sent that group message to them. Fiona, Jenny and Terry were all looking troubled.

After that unfortunate incident with Chad, I immediately went home so that I can meet up with my friends and discuss this bothering situation I put myself into. I never expected them to arrive this early and greet me with these questions.

“Girls, calm down. I’ll explain everything. Here’s the thing---“ before I continued, I noticed that one of my friends was not yet here. “Where’s Lucy?” I asked.

“Who knows? Maybe she won’t show up, she’s not a true friend.” Fiona replied dryly.

“Yeah. Maybe she’s not?” Jenny added. Oh God Jenny, always second-the-motion.

“Why look for someone who’s not here? I mean we’re the original right? Me, you, Jenny and Fiona. Why bother looking for the wannabe.” Terry took an emphasis with her last word that earned a lot of laugh from the girls.

Oh. I’m so not hearing this!

“Stop that! She’s our bestfriend and I don’t want us backstabbing one another. We’re different from the nasty girls in teen movies. We’re pretty and popular and that’s it. So stop the hating and start loving, okay?” I folded my arms and looked at them with disbelief.

“Whatever you say Court. You’re such a goody-goody you know.” Terry giggled.

“No Terry, we’re supposed to be good friends.” I retorted in a duh tone.

There was silence and then the door opened. There revealed Lucy.

“I’m sorry for being late. Did I miss something?” Lucy smiled from ear-to-ear. No one dared to say a thing.

Talk about awkward.

“No. You’re just in time. Just getting started.” I smiled at her.

It’s time to lessen the tension in the air. And it’s time to tell them the real deal.

“You see, a week ago I was confronted by Mr. Cleveland regarding my class standing. He said that if I continue my afterschool shenanigans, I might not able to graduate. Then my Dad knew about this and I swear he was so pissed off! He gave me a curfew, threatened me that he’ll take away my credit card and car and I shouldn’t get some Cs, Ds or Fs in any of my quizzes, exams and---“

“Whoa! Slow down Court! We barely understand a thing. No need to rush.” Terry cuts me off.

“Fine.” I sighed. “To make the long story short, I might not graduate.”

“WHAT! Are you kidding us Court?” Fiona exclaimed.

“Yeah! As in no way you’re not graduating!” Jenny agreed.

“What the hell is wrong with that principal? Let’s get him!” Terry threatened.

Oh typical Terry.

“Wait. Let’s calm down. It’s might not graduate so instead of cursing the principal, let’s think of a plan on how Court will solve this.” Lucy suggested. Wow. We’re really thinking of the same thing.

“Exactly my point! Thank you Lucy.” I beamed and then I continued. “You see girls I already have a plan, a brilliant plan. But I can’t put it into action because someone is not cooperating.” I rolled my eyes as I remembered how Chad had been so hard on me.

“What about it? And who was this someone?” Lucy questioned.

“Well, it’s kinda evil, but since you’re all my best friends I’ll tell you…” I paused. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and hoped that they won’t take this harshly. “I asked the erran--- I mean Student Assistant to steal the test papers for the examination.” I said in a rush. I opened my eyes and I almost laughed when I saw the staggered look on their faces. Not the reaction that I was expecting but should I hope that this was a good sign?

No one dared to say a word. So I finally broke the ice. “Girls?”

“Totally Genius! Evil Genius!” Fiona exclaimed.

“Yeah! As in Totally Genius!” Jenny agreed.

“Pure evil Court! I like that! I always thought that you have this evil side in you!” Terry pointed out.

“Where are the papers? You’re going to share it with us, right? Oh My! You’re so generous, Court!” Lucy chirped excitedly. Now everyone’s eyes were glinting with hope.

“No. I don’t have it. Not a single thing. Didn’t I mention awhile ago that he is not cooperating?” I tried to enlighten them.

“What?” Lucy was a little bit puzzled. “Who on earth doesn’t cooperate with Courtney Collins? The Courtney Collins.” She emphasized. So, it’s not just me who’s thinking of the same thing.

I can’t believe that there will come a time that there will be someone going against my will. I was known for the girl who gets what she wants, the girl who has everything in the world. But then Chad Treyson was the only person who made me feel like a nobody, like I’m just an ordinary girl. And I am not just an ordinary girl!

“A geek named Chad Treyson.”

“Chad Treyson?” They all asked in unison.

“The geek you saved from being bullied? That doesn’t make any sense. He should have accepted your request. The fact that you saved him, he should be grateful and express his gratitude to you.” I can see in Fiona’s way of questioning that she was confused on the situation I am right now. Don’t worry Fiona, I am too.

“You’re his savior, he should have given you the papers as a token of appreciation to your doings.” Terry said.

That savior thing again!

“You don’t know what really happened. The time he refused to give me the papers, I threatened him that I will make his life like a living hell. Then that thing was the product of his arrogance. I asked Max---“

Everyone gasped at the mention of Max’s name.

“So you’re the reason why Max is bullying again!”

“Yeah! It’s been a long time since he showed us his GEEK TERMINATOR side! He’s so cute!”

“I must say that the show he was pulling up everyday was really entertaining.”

“And the slushie part was so new!”

“Totally”

“Yeah! As in Totally”

“Wicked!”

I’m lost! I really don’t know who’s talking right now. They just kept on blabbering and talking. I can’t get anything from them. Was it really a good call to tell them the situation I am into? They’re just making my already messed up plan worst!

I cleared my throat to call their attention. “As I was saying.” I started the moment I saw they’re being attentive again. “This Chad Treyson is so hard to crack. You can’t please him, threaten him and I’m getting frustrated because no mater what I do, he can’t just give up!” Now clearly I’m getting all frustrated.

“So, is it a game over?” Fiona asked.

“You gave up?” Terry worried.

“No. Courtney Collins doesn’t know how to give up. So I came up with this idea. We made a deal. If I can make him fall in love with me, he’ll give me the exam papers.”

Fiona stood up from where she was sitting, feeling excited about the news that I shared. “That’s easy! He sure will! Everyone loves you!”

“I bet he is in love with you right now. He’s just making a way to get closer to you.”

My brows quirked up when Terry said those words. Why didn’t I saw that before? Maybe she does have a point. Maybe this was one of Chad’s ways to get to know me.

I felt a smirk forming in my lips. But then it disappeared the moment I recalled the things he said and do to me. True, we’re now talking and being civil towards each other, but then again I can’t hint anything that he somehow likes me.

Girls have this some kind of a radar where-in they can tell if someone likes them. But then with Chad, there’s no such sign that he was attracted to me. Not a single thing.

“With your hair flip, wink and smile move, he will definitely fall for you! As in totally fall for you!” Lucy assured me.

“Hair flip, wink, smile. Hair flip, wink, smile. Hair flip, wink, smile.” Everyone said in unison, gesturing my signature move.

It’s actually my secret weapon, and I’ll make sure that I’ll use it on desperate times.

“Why don’t you just tell him you know what? I think I’m in love with you, Chad. I love you.” Lucy mimicked me while facing Terry. And then Terry replied “I love you too Courtney Collins.”

That made us all laugh. But then we’re forgetting something important here.

“Good idea but there’s a problem.” I said and everyone looked at me, waiting for my next words. “He also created his own deal. If I fell for him first and say those three words, I have no choice but to join his Drama Club.”

“The Drama Club? It’s social suicide Court!”

“Yeah, as in Social Suicide!”

“You’ve got to be kidding me! He’s insane!”

“What a dweeb! He expects Courtney Collins to fall for him knowing that she has the hottest boyfriend in the world!”

“Totally!”

“Yeah, as in totally!”

“He’s out of his mind!”

Ok. I’m lost again. Seriously, these girls talk a lot and I’m not getting any useful information.

“Stop!” I commanded and they all settled down. “I don’t need nonsense arguments. I need a plan. I mean plans. Plans that will make him fall in love with me and say those three forbidden words as soon as possible!”

I have no time and I’m running a little low with ideas. I’m not good with these sort of things. As I said, I was used to get the things I wanted from the start so there’s no need for me to think of a plan on how to get those.

I waited for them to think and express something. Sure one brain was not enough but five will definitely think of something useful!

But much to my disappointment, a lot of lame suggestions keep on coming out and I won’t dare consider these stupid ideas!

“Kiss him!”

“No way!” I answered.

“Hook up?”

I groaned. “As if Fiona!”

“Make him jealous!”

“Impossible!” Yes, as if Chad cares.

“Make out!”

“I said no way!” What is wrong with these brains?

“HOOK UP!”

“For the last time Fiona, I said no freakin way!”

“Flirtutor!”

“I said---“ I stopped and everyone else was silent. We all trailed our eyes to the one who spoke up, Jenny. “What?” I queried.

“I said Flirtutor!” Jenny grinned.

What the hell she was talking about?

“What’s Flirtutor?” I asked.

“What? You don’t know what Flirtutor means?” She looked at us questionably.

“No honey, we don’t speak alien words.” Terry teased.

“Whatever Terry!” Jenny rolled her eyes but then decided to continue. “Flirtutor. It is the act of flirting while tutoring. You’ll pretend that you don’t understand a subject, approach him to tutor you and then the rest is up to you. Use.The.Charm!” She said in a proud voice.

“Wow, I didn’t expect you’ve come up with a brilliant idea like that!” I exclaimed. For the first time, Jenny left me speechless. A very useful words coming from her. Not Bad.

Chad won’t suspect a thing. He’ll think of this as an alternative to my current situation without knowing that I’m using my charm to lure him into falling for me.

“I like it. Flirtutor it is!”

“But what about Troy?” Lucy asked.

Yes. The most vital loophole of this agreement, I have a boyfriend. The thing that’s been bothering me the moment I made the agreement with that geek. If Troy discovered that I’m flirting with another guy, he’ll definitely kill him. Bloodshed was not even in my list. Chad is my only hope.

“Yes, about him. I’m going to ask you guys a humongous favor. Please keep this info away from Troy, ‘coz he might do something stupid, if you know what I mean. And keep him busy always accompany him.”

“You can’t fool Troy. He’ll definitely know something’s going on. Everyone knows you. It’s hard to hide, Court. You’re popular. Your every move were on papers, it’s all written.” Terry informed me.

Yeah. Talk about being popular.

“Every eyes were on you, Court. How will you pull this thing?” Fiona worried.

I never thought of that. But I was very careful for the past few days. Even my friends don’t know that I’m secretly meeting with Chad. The mall, the secret backyard, I think I can do this. I just have to make a move when people were out of sight.

“I can pull this through. I need to do this. It’s the only way. As for Troy, I heard that he’d be gone in two or three weeks for some college scholarship thingy and by the time he comes back; everything will be fine. As if nothing happened. I get the test papers, I’ll be able to graduate and I get my old life back! You just have to make sure that this will be a secret. Settled?” I asked, expecting them to agree.

“Brilliant! No worries, we will make sure that Troy will know nothing about this.”

“Just tell us if you’re going to meet up with that geek. Besides, the saving incident was still on fire. People will think that the reason why you’re talking with him was because you’re just being nice. Right?” They assured me.

I nodded. I’m very thankful that I have friends like them. “One more thing. Don’t touch Chad. If he sensed that something was up, he might cut off the deal. He’s mine to take care of.”

“Don’t worry about it. We know you can do it. We’ll make sure that everything will go out smoothly.”

“Great. I have the best friends in the world.” I smirked and they all giggled.

Now I can finally put my plans into action without being worried.

I’ve never been this determined in my life. I want Chad Treyson down. Begging and wanting me. It’s not just the exam papers. I have to redeem myself.

I have to make this geek fall head-over-heels on me, The Courtney Collins.
