"Are you guys sure you're ready for this?" you asked the quartet standing before you as all of you finished preparing for the coronation. "There's no going back after this, and we can't have anything stop us from getting that wand."

"We know," Mal replies. "And we've got this. No going back."

"No going back," the rest of them repeat in unison.

Moments later, there was a knock at the door, Carlos volunteering to go answer it as he moved away from the mirror, fixing his bow tie as he went. He swings the door open, coming face to face with one of the royal guards.

"Apologies for the intrusion," he says, bowing his head respectfully. "But I've been sent to pick up the future King's lady and escort her to the royal carriage."

"Guess that's your cue, Mal," Jay pipes up, the purple-haired girl taking a deep breath before smoothing out he dress.

"Don't trip on the train!" You warn jokingly, grabbing your hairbrush off the table so that you could help Jay with his struggles.

"We'll see you there, M," says Evie, giving her friend a reassuring smile as she disappeared down the hallway with the guard.

"What are you doing?" Jay asks, reaching his hands up to pick at his hair, jumping when you slap them away quickly. "Ow!"

"Hush, I'm giving you a man bun that actually looks decent," you grumble, using his hair tie to put together the updo, leaving out two small but still pretty visible strands of hair so that they could hang down in front. "There."

Jay picks up Evie's mirror, looking at himself through the cracked glass. "Not bad," he hums.

"Well, I did help Lady Tremaine at the salon for a while when I was paying off that debt."

Evie smiles at the memory, suppressing a laugh so she could ask her question. "Wasn't that the time you made that huge mess in the store and she found out it was you?"

"Yeah, only because someone else snitched on me," you huffed, crossing your arms playfully. "I would've gotten away with it if he hadn't."

"Did you get him back?"

"Yeah, he couldn't walk properly for the rest of the week."

"Wouldn't that mean you couldn't either? You were walking just fine that week," Jay questions, raising a curious eyeball.

"Huh?" You respond confusedly, not understanding what he was implying at first. "No-? What would that have to do with me-" Your reply trailed off as it finally started clicking in your brain what he meant, smacking his arm. "Ew, Jay! That's nasty, get your head out of the gutter!" He only replied with a snicker and a shrug, scooting away as you tried to swat at him again.

"What does that even mean?" Carlos asks, the rest of you turning to look at him with wide eyes.

"Nothing you need to worry about," Evie says calmly before either of you could sputter out a reply. "Come on, we'll be late if you don't hurry."

Everyone started grabbing the rest of their stuff, the boys being the first ones to leave as you and Evie lingered behind a few seconds longer.

"How do you even know what that means?" came your inquiry as you took the golden pocket watch out of the drawer and clipped it to the side of your dress.

"Long story, one time, complete accident," she sums it up, rushing out the door, waiting as you followed suit, stopping to make sure it was locked. "Let's go!"

Meanwhile, back on the Isle, all those in residency gathered wherever they could to witness their soon-to-be delivery. More specifically, the 5 villain parents who were crowded around the TV in their hideout, popcorn on deck as they watched their children prepare for one of the biggest moments of their lives.

"I'm Snow White, bringing you up to the second coverage of who's the fairest of them all," the woman on the screen announced.

"I'm Snow White," EQ mocked, tossing popcorn at the television. "Who are you kidding? She's definitely had work done." Maleficent turned and made a face of 'what the heck?' to her.

"Wow, look at this princess!" Snow White gleams, seeing Mal step out of the carriage with Ben, her long purple dress flowing elegantly. "Let's see who this beauty is wearing!" She took a look at her card, squinting at the name.

"Evie," she said. "Someone named Evie designed her gown."

"Ev-that's my daughter-EVIE!" Evil Queen sputtered, standing up, spilling their snacks on the floor.

=

"This is it," Evie whispered to you all. You were all ordered to sit in the back for the event with everyone else, since the front was only reserved for specific people. There was a clear view of everyone up there though, including Mal, who was walking all the way up to the front.

"Let's do this," Jay says, trying to offer a spark of encouragement. All of you were anxious for this big moment.

"No going back," you hummed, rocking back and forth on your heels, repeating the words to yourself in your head. No going back.

=

"Oh, and there's Fairy Godmother with the wand!" says Snow White, the camera zooming in on the intricately designed piece of magic.

"I want that wand!" Maleficent declared, standing up to get closer to the TV.

"Do you? Hadn't heard," Cruella remarks sarcastically at the fairy's impatience, who sent her a dirty glare and sat back in her seat.

=

"Are coronations supposed to be this long?" Carlos wonders out loud.

"I don't know," you murmur. "I've never been to one."

"Still, I thought it was only like-he gets the crown and wand and it's over."

"Yeah, what's with the speech?" Jay chimes in. "It's not a wedding."

"Relax, you two. Look, it's almost over."

=

"Do you, Prince Benjamin, vow to protect and serve our kingdom?"

"I do," Ben answers confidently. Fairy Godmother tapped the wand on each of Ben's shoulders, a bright smile on her face.

"Then it is with honor that I announce you our new king-!"

And that's when everything started going downhill.

Before anyone could blink, the wand was being snatched out of her hands. Only, not by Mal, but by FG's daughter, Jane, sending the entire crowd into a series of gasps.

"Child, what are you doing?!" her mother yells in shock.

"If you won't make me beautiful, I'll do it myself!" the young girl grunts as she struggles to hold the wand, magic beams beginning to fly out, one of them aimed up at the ceiling, where it tore a hole and made its away all the way over to the Isle's magic barrier.

The island rumbled once the magic began to malfunction, now allowing a bit of magic to seek through, the villains starting their fest of evil laughter.

"We're free!" They cheered, Maleficent rushing over to the window.

"Scepter," she calls, extending her left hand to summon it. "Now!" It flies into her grasp, taking her away, leaving nothing but a cloud of green smoke in her wake.

=

Through the  screams of terror, someone else was able to grasp the wand, yanking it out of Jane's hand before she could cause anymore damage. Its magic began calming down in their hands, but no one expected the way the person held it, clutched tightly in their grasp.

"...Mal?" Ben says.

"Stand back," she wants lowly, the rest of you in the back looking to the other.

"Yes, that's our cue," you whisper yell. "Let's go!" Everyone started following behind you as you squeezed between the large crowd of people and out to reach the front doors.

Ben tries to move forward despite Mal's warning, which only makes her back away further.

"Ben, I said stand back!" she cried, the wand shaking in her hands, and as the words leave her lips, the four of you burst through the doors, running up to her side.

"I told you so!" Audrey hissed bitterly, but Mal, who was practically fed up with her and basically at the tipping point, aimed the wand threatening at her as a forewarning, the princess jumping back as others in the crowd held onto her.

"Mal, you don't have to do this-" Ben started.

"We have no choice Ben!" said Mal, tears burning at her eyes. "Our parents.."

"Your parents made their choice," he told her. "Now you make yours." The fae turned to look at her friends thoughtfully, studying each of their faces before she turned her face back to him.

"I think I wanna be good," she whispered.

"You are good!" Ben assured her.

"How do you know that?" she questioned.

"Because.." he trailed off, looking for the right words to say. "Because I'm listening to my heart."

"I wanna listen to my heart too," Mal sniffled, looking at the four of you again. "And my heart is telling us that we are not our parents."

"Mal.." you began, face contorted into a firm expression once you realized where she was going with this.

"No, (y/n), guys, being evil doesn't make us happy! That's not who we are," she reasoned. "Jay, tourney and pizza with the boys makes you happy. Carlos, Dude makes you happy, who would've thought that?" She laughed a little, looking at Evie.

"Evie, you don't have to play dumb to get a guy, you're so smart." Evie smiled, tears beginning to form in her eyes as well. "And (y/n), I know you think you're evil, but you're not, there are things that make you happy too. Like-, like cheesecake and singing, even being a part of the fencing team, I noticed! It makes you happy, not your dad."

That's what made you falter a bit, lips parted as you tried to form words.

"And I don't wanna take over the world with evil, it doesn't make me happy," Mal admitted. "I wanna go to school, and be with Ben.." she turns to Ben, holding up her left hand, revealing his ring that was placed on her finger. "Because Ben makes me really happy. Us being friends makes me really happy. I choose good you guys."

She held out her hand, and everyone stood still for a moment, processing her words, before Evie placed her hand over Mal's.

"I choose good too," she smiles at her best friend.

"Good," Jay agreed, joining the pile.

"Wait, so just to be clear, we won't have to worry about how mad are parents will be?" Carlos asked, looking skeptical while a few of the people laughed. "Because they're gonna be really upset."

"Your parents can't reach you here," Ben affirms, Carlos nodding and stepping up to the group.

"Okay then," he spoke, placing his hand out too. "Good." The large crowd started cheering, the four VKs grinning and looking over at the last person in the group.

You.

"(Y/n)?" Mal called.

"Mal," you started, voice strained as you tried to hold back conflicted tears. "Listen..." There was no time to finish, however, because a loud boom and a cackle echoed through the room, green smoke traveling over towards them, and out from it, was no other than Maleficent.

"I'm back!!"

Crap.
