Background info:

You are an islander, living on the coastline of Hipon harbor, a small patch of land in the middle of the ocean. While rich in many resources, it would be a perfect place to plunder for treasure... except for one tiny detail...ok, a few tiny details

Adora pov:

Looking for adventure, we had asked Seahawk if he had any ideas for a place to explore. This would definitely be a bad idea, since he immediately told everyone to gather around for one of his stories, that he "swears" is true.

Seahawk: long ago, when my love for the sea 'and mermista',  began to blossom, I had discovered an island on a map that a bartender gave to me, after I beat him in a duel! In fact, I still have that very same map in my back pocket for some reason.

Seahawk reached behind him, grabbing a worn map from the inside of his coat, then spreading it dramatically across the table, blowing the dust off of it for extra effect. On the map, a small island far east of salineas was crossed out by a red x.

Seahawk: On this map, showed an island known as Hipon harbor. I'm pretty sure It's a different language or something, but that's besides the point! Hidden within the island, there is unimaginable treasures and fortune, just waiting for any hardy sailor to take it! The only problem, was that the island that was guarded by a mythical beast!

Several of the people in the room gasped, emersed in Seahawk's probably fake story, and frosta spoke up.

Frosta: what kind of mythical beast? A unicorn!?

Swiftwind: oh don't be silly, unicorns don't exist!

Seahawk: no one knows... because no one has ever escaped it with their lives!

Seahawk had jumped forward with his arms outwards, scaring frosta and swiftwind. He then looked around the room at us, and put one foot on top of the table.

Seahawk: Except me! As I was approaching the island, a dense fog came over me, refusing to let me see the distant stars in the sky. I suddenly felt a tingle within my chest hairs, when all of a sudden, a massive crab, at least the height of she Ra, came crawling out of the water, and onto the deck of my ship! It had eyes as dark as nightmares, and claws as sharp as steel. From the look of its heavy suit of shell, only the strongest would ever think of defeating it.

Seahawk: unsheathing my sword, I bravely fought the best, sword against claws! Handsome versus ugly! But just when I thought I had won...the beast attacked my sails, and capsized my boat!

Frosta: how did you get out alive!?

Seahawk: I swam all the way to salineas, all while fighting off the beast! Even though I lost my boat, in the end I still won!

Catra: there is no way that is true.

Mermista: surprisingly, it is. Some of my guards had to rescue him, and he was carrying a peace of the creature's shell.

Hearing that a story, from Seahawk, was true, was like hearing that a horse can fly. It never happens, except for rare occasions. After talking it through with everyone, we all agreed that we'd leave tomorrow. The one's who are coming with us are Seahawk, bow, glimmer, mermista, and surprisingly catra. Sea monster, prepare to be vanquished! Ok, I think Seahawk is rubbing off on me.

Time skip~~

Originally, we were going to use Darla to get to the island, but that wasn't an option, since entrapta her friend went to explore some other planet. Thankfully, Seahawk had a boat ready for us at the docks. What I wasn't thankful for, was the fact that this arrangement allowed Seahawk to sing even more sea shanties than usual.

Most of the trip across the ocean was rather boring, with only thing happened was catra getting seasick.
However, when we got closer to our destination, we saw a massive blanket of dense fog just up ahead. I noticed that Seahawk had tensed up, but I ignored it as I focused on trying to find the island.

Catra began sniffing the air, making a comment about the smell of seafood getting stronger, before resisting the urge to vomit. Why did catra come with us?

I started feeling uneasy myself, my gut telling me that something knows we are here. I looked overboard at the waves crashing against the boat, when I noticed that there were bubbles coming from below us, following the boat. After staring into the murky water, I could see a green blob rising to the surface, I leaned closer to the water, in hopes of making anything out, when I realized that it was alive. I swiftly backed away to the other side of the boat, a scream leaving my mouth as a massive creature jumped onto the boat, startling everyone and splashing water onto the deck, and catra.

Glimmer was freaking out with bow, while Seahawk let out the girliest shriek that I have ever heard, earning a stare from everyone, including the crab beast. Seahawk then tried to blame the sound on the wind, as he cleared his throat.

The monster had a tall posture, with a dark green shell with scattered mud and burn marks covering its body, somewhat resembling a shrimp...with massive, mantis like claws.

The beast let out a loud shriek, as it charged towards me with its creepy crab legs. As it tried impaling me, I dived out of the way, and raised my arm into the air, ready to even out the odds.

Adora: for the honor, of GREYSKULL!!

A bright light formed around my body, blinding the creature in the process. Now that I was she Ra, I was an even height with the overgrown shrimp. The creature raised both of its arms to slam its sharp claws down on me, only to be blocked by my sword, and being locked into place. To be honest, it was a lot stronger than I expected.

As glimmer began throwing sparkling balls into its eyes, catra jumped on its back, trying to claw at the shrimp. However, it started jumping up and down like a bull, causing the entire boat to start rocking even more than it was before. Eventually, catra got knocked off, into the cold water.

As soon as I realized that she fell in, I prioritized saving her, by jumping in after her to swim her to safety, not really thinking about the shrimp.

After getting back onto the boat, with catra attached to my back by claws, I heard Seahawk and bow yelling, before swinging from suspended ropes around the shrimp, tangling it  and temporarily trapping it. Bow then shot a net onto the creature's face, while Seahawk cut off the claws with his sword. After the shrimp managed to free itself, it retreated back into the depths, while bow and Seahawk yelled "ADVENTURE!".

Mermista: I totally could have done it by myself, but whatever.

While we all celebrated our victory, I began hearing slow clapping coming from behind us. Turning around, we were met with another boat with three other people all looking at us. From the looks of things, Seahawk knows these people, because he immediately hid behind me once he noticed their presence.

???: Congratulations outsiders, you managed to kill one of the weakest creatures on our island! Only needing...five different people.

While I was about to ask them who they were, mermista spoke up, with confusion in her voice.

Mermista: isn't that...Seahawk, isn't that your old boat!?

Seahawk got nervous, while the three started laughing, the leader speaking up.

???: I stole his boat after saving him from one of those freaks. I considered it payment. Follow us, and we'll lead you to our town.

Mermista gave Seahawk a mean glare, while Seahawk tried hiding his face once more, and decided to follow them. I have no idea why we decided to follow them, but we did.

Going further into the fog, I finally saw something other than ocean, lights. We were approaching a dock with several other boats tied to the wooden polls. From the looks of things, the strangers were taking us to a town.

After successfully docking, the leading stranger approached us, while the other two hauled a Massive fish off of the boat.

???: So, what's the deal with you? We don't usually get visitors.

Adora: well, we came to explore the island, and maybe find something new.

???: You won't be disappointed. Anyways, I'm y/n, what are your names?

Adora: well, I'm-

I was going to tell them our names, before a loud siren rang out loud, signaling potential danger.

Y/n: nevermind that, we need to get to get to the wall!

Y/n grabbed a strange looking katana from behind his back, that was seemingly missing the sharp part of a sword, only having the "back" of the sword, with a strange contraption attached. Having no other choice, we followed him and his friends, leading into the small town filled with panicking townsfolk.

Ahead of us was a large metal gate of some sort, with villagers that had rifles similar to the ones that the horde possessed, even brandishing similar armor.

We had came to a stop at the large doors, where someone with a pirate hat stood, bossing others around. Looking at us, he seemed rather annoyed.

???: Oh great, you're here. Listen, we don't need you 'helping' us out, so beat it.

Y/n didn't seem to have a good relationship with this guy, who was presumably the mayor of the town. They got ticked off, and responded with an agitated demeanor.

Y/n: oh yeah? Why don't you risk that? We both know I'm the most skilled person here. Would you really risk losing your precious little town?

???:...fine, at least you can be a distraction. Open the gate!

Adora: wait, what's even going on!?

???: What, y/n, who the hell is this? No, it doesn't matter, my people need help out there, and you are going to save them. Go!

He yelled at us, causing us to fasten our pace and run out the gate. On the other side of the wall, there was... absolutely nothing. We couldn't see past the fog, or the buildings in ruins,  and the lanterns were only helping so much. So much for an emergency. When we told y/n, he told us to be patient, so I listened to their advice.

After what felt like an eternity, I began to hear screams coming from the dense fog. The guards positioned in the wall became tense, as they aimed their weapons. Bow and Seahawk started sweating, while catra got a little closer to me.

Finally, I saw several people coming from the destroyed building running towards us, with panic clearly consuming them. Just after they appeared, another guy came sliding through the same doorway, but with a massive creature right on his tail. It looked kind of like a frog, with its slimy skin and bulging eyes, but it had a glowing light Infront of its head. The guards immediately opened fire on the creature, while it screeched in pain from the burning lasers. Soon after, two others came following from behind.

I looked towards y/n to make sure they were ready, only to realize that they were GONE. Before I even realized, catra tackled me to the ground, saving me from the beasts' clutches.

Bow and Seahawk proved to be a great team once more, as they tag teamed one frog monster and destroyed it.

Before I even realized, the other two were dealt with as well. We all began celebrating, only to be cut short by an explosion in the distance.

Guard: that was our land mine...be on high alert everyone.

They all pointed their rifles in the direction of the explosion, waiting to see if there was any more hostiles.

Not before long, it was confirmed, as I began hearing several loud footsteps approaching. From the sound of things, this one was a lot bigger than the previous frogs.

Stalking through the shadows, I saw the outline of a massive beast. Someone must have tossed a flare, because a red light made its way over to the creature, giving us all a good look at hideous monster. It was one of those things that jumped onto our boat, except this one was red, and a lot bigger.

Guard: shit...stalker!

Everyone began firing at the beast, only for it to shrug it off. Bow tried firing a net at the creature, only for it to bounce right off. Seeing no other option, I transformed back into she Ra. To be honest, I probably never should have transformed back from last time.

The stalker made a strange gesture, tilting its head to the side while moving backwards, only to charge at me top speed like a bison. A very smelly bison.

I swung my sword down onto its head, only for it to block my sword with the two massive claws. I expected it to try and swing at me, but the thing SPIT ON ME! It actually burned really badly, distracting me long enough for it to push me over with its shelled head. Before it tried to impale me with its sharp looking legs, bow had fired his sonic arrow, actually bouncing off of the shell before making a deafening ringing noise, causing the stalker to shriek in pain, as well as a few others.

While it was stunned, I used this opportunity to get up and finish it off, but before I could, y/n had shown up out of no where to steal my thunder.

He pressed a button on his katana, causing blood red plasma to shoot out, forming the actual blade of the sword. Once the stalker got its bearings together, it looked at y/n in anger, before charging after them.

Y/n had calmly picked up a metal rod on the floor, before throwing it at the stalkers legs, tripping it a tad bit. He then sidestepped out of the way, before raising his plasma katana and cutting off one of the stalker's arms, causing it to shriek in pain. He then twirled around behind it, cutting off several of its legs while doing so, then kicking it in the back making the stalker fall over, before they plunged the sword into its head, killing it.

They did a dramatic pose for the audience consisting of the guards and townsfolk, only to get zero reaction out of anyone, causing them to get mad.

Y/n: and that, pretty princess, is how you kill a stalker. And yes, I am teaching classes. Or, I want to at least.

Adora: ok, first, my name is adora. Second, where did you go?

Y/n: well, I was supervising from a distance, y'know, to see how experienced you were. By the way, that's not spit, that's acid.

As soon as he said that, I began freaking out, trying to get the slime off of me, while several of the townsfolk laughed at me. Catra helped me to my feet, while the others looked either mad or sympathetic.

After getting the slime off, we went back into the town, when someone spoke to us...the angry guy from before.

???: Thank you strangers, we appreciate the help. It's not often that y/n brings someone...sane. anyways, I am in charge here and you may call me captain of this small town. The people here could always use a helping hand, and I'm willing to pay you for it.

Now that we weren't in a rush, I actually got a good look at the man. He had darker skin, and a thick beard covering most of his face. On top of his white shirt and dark blue leather coat, he wore an actual pirate hat, which made me jealous to be entirely honest.

Adora: thanks, but I have a question. Why do you not like y/n?

I was hoping for a clear answer, but I already knew that wasn't possible. The captain scoffed, before looking over at a structure with several people going in.

Captain: well, they aren't exactly... trustworthy. One day he just...showed up out of the blue, and caused our fisherman trouble by robbing them. According to the victims, they were told that y/n would give them something better in return, and that's when I decided to add better schooling to our community. In y/n's credit though, he actually did give them more in return. Sometimes they help us, and sometimes they'll "accidentally" give a five year old a bucket of chum, and tell him that there is gold in stalker infested water. Don't ask about that.

Captain: anyways, if you're hungry or thirsty, you should go over to the building with the sign "the briney bucket", It's actually a bar. I have thing I need to attend to.

The captain soon walked away, signaling for someone to go over to him. Feeling parched myself, we all decided to go over to the "briney bucket", and prey that Seahawk doesn't try to duel the bartender.

Walking into the bar, the smell of alcohol assaulted my nose, and almost everyone inside looked towards us, strangely welcoming towards us as they cheered at us. Looking around, there weren't that many people of interest, except for a select few:

There was a heavily armored man leaned against the wall, with what looked like a prosthetic arm and a black Jacket over his gear. He was definitely someone important, but it wasn't obvious who, since they weren't even helping us defend the town.

Sitting at the corner table across from us, there was an old looking man, sitting by himself as he mumbled incoherent rambling. It was hard to tell whether or not anything he said was jumble, or it was just hard to hear because of the loud voices of everyone else.

And finally, there was who seemed to be the bartender himself. We all walked over to him, when he finally noticed us.

He had pale skin, short black hair, and a fur coat on over his black T-shirt, despite it not being cold in the slightest. He also wore a black headband and combat boots. He had a welcoming smile like several of the other townsfolk did, but I noticed that he had a massive scar on his blurred right eye.

Bartender: welcome, welcome, to the briney bucket! I'm lex, the owner of this establishment, and I have to hand it to you, what you did was pretty cool. That was the most light I've ever seen at once. So, do you fine things have names?

Adora: well I'm-

Before I could tell them my name, mermista interrupted me by shoving me out of the Way.

Mermista: I'm mermista, otherwise known as sea Ra. The guy with the handle bar mustache is Seahawk, the guy with the bow is bow, sparkly girl is glimmer, cat is catra, and this is my sidekick, adora. Otherwise known as she Ra.

Adora: sidekick!?

Mermista: But I'm like, totally the most important one here, cause I'm like, the goddess of water and stuff, and y'know, control water.

Lex: is that so? Well then, I guess that's pretty cool-think fast!

Lex had grasped a cup of water and splashed onto mermista, causing her to become drenched as everyone in the bar began laughing, secretly including me. Mermista rightfully used her powers to pick the water up, and splash him as hard as she could, with lex only responding with "fair enough".

I thought that would be the end of things, but I had forgotten about our biggest problem being here...

Seahawk: bartender!!

Seahawk.

Lex: what can I get ya?

Seahawk: this is not the time for-ok, the grilled salamander actually sounds good for some reason... yeah I'll take that.

Lex: got it man.

Lex ran over towards a woman handing out drinks, and told her Seahawk's order, then jumped back over the counter, ready to talk to us again, with things going surprisingly peaceful.

Lex: forgot to ask, anything else?

Seahawk: oh, right. a duel!!!

There we go. Everyone in the bar looked over at Seahawk when he shouted at the top of his lungs. Someone in the crowd even gasped.
It was kinda funny how serious Seahawk was being, and lex just stared at him. He didn't even look confused, he just stared.

Lex: and...why exactly?

Seahawk: you insulted the love of my life, mermista, by splashing her with water! I demand a duel!!

Mermista looked embarrassed as hell, even beginning to blush as everyone started staring at her.

Lex: well that depends..PRESTON!

The heavily armored man that I mentioned before looked over towards lex, then to Seahawk, which clearly made him nervous.

Preston: (sigh) what lex?

Lex: are
