Today the Task Force was investigating the Yotsuba group. They were close to figuring out that they held the Death Note. I noticed Matsuda was trying to do his best to help but he seemed upset about it. I couldn't blame him he's a good character and now he's only serving coffee.

   " Ryuzaki, is there anything I can do to help with the investigation, besides the manager thing? "

   " Could you get me another cup of coffee? "

   " Huh? I wanna help, too! I wanna contribute to the case! "

   " Matsuda! " I shouted.

I stood up and walked over to him. I pulled him down to my height and whispered in his ear.

   " Just be patient. You'll get your opportunity. "

   " But when? " He shouted at me.

   " I can't reveal that Matsuda. I can only tell you to be patient and wait. "

   " Y/n, that's what you said last time! When is it going to happen, I don't know! Sometimes I think you're lying to me about how much I'll actually help. "

He turned away from me and stormed out of the building. I felt my heart start to hurt in my chest. It hurt to hear him say that. I walked to a couch that was in the room and took a seat down on the soft cushions.

   " You know he's got a point. " Aizawa said whispering to Mr. Yagami.

   " You believe she isn't telling the truth? "

   " It's just how do we know that she's leading us in the right direction? I know she has said multiple times that she won't interfere unless she needs to but how do we know that she secretly hasn't picked a side already? For all, we know Kira could know her name and be using it against her. "

   " Aizawa I can hear your conversation from here. Please would you like to share with me your thoughts? " I said looking up at him and Mr. Yagami.

The air was tense. I could feel Light's eyes on us while Lawliet focused on his computer monitor.

   " I was just saying that Matsuda may have a point. We don't know if you're helping us or Kira. I understand that you said you wouldn't help either side but how can we be sure that Kira isn't using you against us? "

   " So, there's no trust. "

It was silent for a couple of minutes. No one said a word and I felt my heart hurt even more. I stood up from the couch and stuffed my hands in my pockets. I looked at Aizawa and held a serious gaze without showing that I was hurt.

   " I understand how you see me now. "

   " Y/n we can tell you're upset but let's just keep this calm. " Light said.

   " I am calm, Light. So, none of you have trust in my word? None of you trust me because you think I'm helping Kira, only because I know the future? "

   " ... " It was silent once more.

   " Y/n I trust you if that makes you feel better. " Light said walking closer to me.

   " So you're only saying it to make me feel better? "

   " No, that's not..."

He grabbed my shoulders and looked me in the eyes.

   " Y/n we trust you. We aren't saying it but we do trust you. If we didn't you wouldn't be living here with my father and I. Ryuzaki wouldn't allow you to walk freely around. "

I shut my mouth and looked all around the room. Aizawa and Mr. Yagami were looking away, Mogi was looking through files but his eyes were focused on me. Then Lawliet was sitting in his chair looking at the screen of his computer.

   " Ryuzaki, do you trust me? "

He took his attention off of the screen and faced me while sitting on his chair in the usual crouched position. He was putting a gummy bear in his mouth when he started to talk.

   " I have to. You know my real name along with a lot of information on Kira. If I were to simply let you out of my sight then I fear you would talk about classified information or reveal my name. So, yes I trust you. "

   ' Only because you have to. '

My chest pain was getting worse by the second. I starred at Light's chest contemplating what I should do. I couldn't simply run away from them, that would make me seem childish, and I would have nowhere to go.

   ' What if I leave? I walk out and I get a plan ready on where to go? That's going to have to work. '

   " Y/n? "

I stepped back from Light and I noticed everyone's focus was on me.

   " Fine, if you guys don't trust me then I'll go. "

   " If you forgot what I said then I will rephrase it for you. I can't let you out of my sight because you have information Kira does not need to know. You're letting your emotions get involved when they shouldn't. " Lawliet said.

   " You're right. My feelings are getting involved in this. I am hurt that none of you, except Light, trusts me. I thought I had made memories and shared them with you all while protecting my home. But it only turns out that the Task Force was just making sure I kept my mouth shut. So, I'm going to leave you all. You're going to have to trust me now, but that doesn't matter anymore does it? I'm leaving the building and the Yagami household. Please don't try to contact me or if you seek help, make sure to find someone else. At least this way I know that my home won't be destroyed and if it is it's on you all, along with myself. "

I turned my back to them and started walking to the elevator.

   " Goodbye Task Force. It was nice while it lasted. "

   " Y/n! Please don't go. We need you here, they might not see it but I do. We need you here. You've helped us when we were stuck and you made sure the investigation was progressing. Don't leave. " Light begged.

   ' Funny, Kira's begging. '

I got in the elevator and pressed the button to go to the lobby. I took my phone out of my pocket and tossed it towards Light. He caught it before the phone hit the ground.
