I got dressed in a Halloween shirt and some shorts/jeans. I slipped on my shoes and walked downstairs. I had already done my hair beforehand. I got to the elevator and pressed the button that would take me to the main observation room. When the doors open I stepped into the room and saw Lawliet, Light, Misa, and Matsuda standing and working. Misa wasn't really working but she was arguing with Lawliet. 

   " Please. "

   " No. "

   " Please. "

   " No. "

   " Please. "

   " No. "

   " Please. "

   " Light can you please control Misa. "

   " Misa, stop asking him. He's not going to say yes and if you keep asking him over and over again he will only continue to say no. "

   " What's going on? " I asked Matsuda.

   " Oh, Misa~Misa wants to dress everyone up for Halloween, but Ryuzaki won't let her dress him up. "

   " Where is Mr. Yagami and Aizawa? "

   " They called in and said they wanted to stay home today to be with their children. Aizawa was really excited to go trick or treating with his kid today. "

   " That's good. I remember going trick or treating as a kid. I knew exactly what houses to go to to get the big chocolate bars. "

   " I loved it when I was younger. I had so much fun dressing up and running around. "

   " Y/n, could you join me over here please? "

I waved to Matsuda and walked to Lawliet. There was a seat beside him and I took a seat in the chair. He held up a spoon toward me and I saw that he was eating a Halloween themed cake.

   " Cake? "

   " Yes, thank you. "

I took the spoon from him and started eating the cake. It was delicious and we started fighting over the last piece. In the end, I won the battle and ate the last piece of cake. I smiled at Lawliet as I chewed the cake. I set the spoon down and Lawliet looked at me with an unreadable expression.

   " What? "

   " You know Misa. I think dressing everyone up for Halloween is a great idea. Why don't you start with Y/n first? "

   " Yay! "

   " What? "

Misa grabbed the back of my spinny chair and started pulling me towards the elevator. The bottom of the chair had wheels so it was easy for her to pull me.

   " Ryuzaki! "

   " That's for taking the last piece, love! " 

The elevator doors closed and I could see Light giving me a sad glance. 

( Time Skip )

   " You know what I'll take it. "

The elevator doors opened and I stepped out and into the main room. Everyone was looking at me as I walked back to my seat beside Lawliet. When I sat back down I could feel everyone's eyes on me. I looked at Lawliet out of the corner of my eyes and saw a tiny red tint on his cheeks. 

   " What? "

   " It's nothing for you to worry about. "

   " You're next Light! "

I watched as she dragged Light into the elevator and disappeared. 

   " There was never really a Halloween episode. "

   " Maybe there should be. "

I held my bayonet and tapped Lawliet's shoulder. 

   " Ryuzaki have you done anything lately that I need to arrest you for? "

   " Afraid not. You can't catch me doing anything illegal unless it's for the sake of the investigation. "

   "Too bad. I wanted to arrest you. "

I saw his face turn into a deeper shade of red before it disappeared. One after one Misa dressed everyone up in costumes. Matsuda was dressed in a cupid's outfit. Light was dressed as a devil, wearing a red suit with a pointy tail in the back and horns on his head. Ryuzaki was dressed as an angel. He wore a long-sleeved white collared shirt with white jeans. He had a halo above his head. Misa had dressed up as a fallen angel.

   " Matsuda I feel as if Misa left me and you out of the theme here. We have a devil, angel, fallen angel, cupid, and a cop. I feel we are left out of this. More like I was. "

   " Not really. " Lawliet said turning my chair. 

My chair faced him and he hugged me from my chair.

   " I am your guardian angel. I protect you from Light and Misa. "

   " Protect? "

   " Yes, you are a cop so your job is dangerous. Light and Misa are trying to kill you to get you on their side while I protect you from the danger and help you along the way. "

   " R-Ryuzaki..."

   " Why do I have to be the bad guy? " Light asked Ryuzaki.

Light walked behind my chair and pulled on my shoulders. He pulled them back and I was placed back against my chair.

   " Why do I have to be the bad guy in the story? "

   " Because you are dressed like one and she is mine so I am her protector. "

Lawliet grabbed me from my chair and placed me on his lap, holding me sideways. He turned back towards his computer and started typing. 

   " Ryuzaki-"

   " I will protect you from everyone and everything. "

   " Don't you think you're taking the role of an angel too seriously? "

   " Not at all. You're my human to watch and care for. I won't let you get hurt. "

He turned his head towards me gave me a quick kiss before looking back at his computer and holding me in his lap. I felt my face turn red and I looked away.

   " I'm going to arrest you. " I whispered quietly.
