Ps. I'm a terrible person when it comes to gifts so I'm sorry if it's lame. You'll know why when you read this chapter. I tried my best 🤷‍♀️

Epilogue

- Mia White -

It was the first day of summer vacation, and I was already freaking out. In five days, it was going to be Ace's birthday, and I haven't found anything to get him. I wanted to buy two things; one for graduating and one for his birthday. But I was thinking I could get him a gift that represented both.

When I told Sarah about my problem, she said she'd come with me to the mall to pick something out—even though she doesn't know much about Ace.

"Relax, Mia," Sarah said as I thought about all the possible things I could get Ace. "He'll like whatever you buy him."

"But what if he doesn't?"

Sarah rolled her eyes. "Mia, he's obsessed with you. He wouldn't care if you didn't get him anything. All he wants is to be with you. Trust me."

I could feel my cheeks burn up due to what she said, but nonetheless, I still continued to search. I don't care if Ace has billions of dollars, I still want to get him something. Even if he could buy it with the snap of his fingers.

I jumped when someone placed their hands on my shoulders in surprise. I immediately moved away to see it was Ben with a wide grin on his face. Levi and Jacob - along with Charles - was behind him.

"A little birdie told me that you're having trouble picking out a gift for your scary beast of a boyfriend. So I brought the whole gang to help you!" Ben cheered.

I turned around and glared at Sarah who smiled innocently at me.

"You know what you should do?" Ben asked. He leaned close to my ear and began to whisper what I should get for Ace's birthday. Or rather, what I should do. I blushed and pushed the laughing Ben away.

That guy has too many weird things going on in his mind.

"Maybe I should just get him a watch," I mutter as I walked away from them. None of them didn't seem to notice that I slipped away. They were all talking about something. All but Levi. He knew I was gone because he was walking right beside me as I looked around.

Neither of us said anything. It was awkward, but not awkward at the same time. Ever get those moments? Happens to me all the time.

Levi and I were back to being friends, but it was still weird to know that he likes me. Especially when he's helping me find a present for my boyfriend.

Speaking of which, it was strange that a large glass jar caught my eyes. Maybe I could make something out of it. But if I did, it may not be a unique gift since I've seen a ton of jar related birthday gifts on the internet.

I smiled when I knew exactly what I was going to do.

I grabbed the jar from the shelf and walked back towards Sarah. She gave me a weird look when she saw the jar—thinking why in the world I was going to give him this. However, she didn't ask any questions but came with me to buy it.

Ben was complaining that I should've gone with his idea instead of buying the jar, but I didn't listen to him. Unfortunately, Ben, Levi, Sarah, and Jacob decided to stay over at my place since they had nowhere else to be. Charles had an appointment at the doctors so he wasn't able to stay.

Normally Ace would be here, but fortunately for me, he's finally going to talk to his father. Mrs King is also joining him, and they plan to be gone for the rest of the day, so I have plenty of time. If I'm not done by today, I'll ask Ben to distract him.

I went straight up to my room, leaving my friends to mess up the living room that's I'll make them clean later. I went to my desk and grabbed five different colours of paper - I still had some spare ones after I did a project for school - and cut them into small cards I could simply fold.

After an hour or two, I finally finished the first part. The next thing I had to do was go on my laptop and print something out, and once I did that, Ace's gift was completed. It was a simple gift but I wanted it to be perfect.

"Still should've gone with my idea," Ben said for the thousandth time today.

"It was a weird idea, Ben. And I'm not going to do that," I told him.

"You say that now, but just you wait." A devilish smirk ran across his face as I rolled my eyes.

The days flew by and it was already Ace's birthday. He said he didn't want a whole birthday party, so we all decided to go to the beach since the weather was nice.

I knew Sarah would want to suntan while Ben actually went into the ocean and splashed water on his brother like a little kid.

Jacob and Charles were casually sitting on the sand talking, acting as if they were the only ones on the beach. I was glad to see those two getting along. But I couldn't help but wonder if Jacob wanted more in the relationship they have now.

My gift to Ace was in the bag I brought along with me, which was currently with Sarah since I was in the bathroom changing into my swimsuit. No surprise, Ace was waiting for me outside. I made sure to tell him not to stare at the girls' bathroom because that would make him look like a creep, but I'm not sure he listened to me.

When I got outside, I walked to where Ace was standing. I noticed his brows were furrowed together as his lips forming into a frown.

"What's wrong?" I asked, but he shook his head, saying it was nothing.

Do I look weird or something?

When we walked back to our spot, I felt Ace's arm tighten around my waist, pulling me closer to his side when a group of guys passed us. I looked at him and saw that he was glaring at something in front of us as he clutched his jaw.

He suddenly stopped walking, causing me to do the same. His head turned to me, his eye softening before he leaned down and kissed me. His hands gripped my hips before he pressed me against him.

I was embarrassed since we were out in public, so I tried to pull away. However, Ace didn't let me. Knowing that he wasn't going to let me go, I wrapped my arms around his broad shoulders and kissed him back.

He pulled away moments later, and I could feel my cheeks burning up when I could feel eyes on the both of us. Ace smirked before bringing his lips to whisper huskily in my ear.

"You're mine. I don't like sharing," he almost growled. "If a guy here is bothering you, call me, okay? I'll deal with him."

When I nodded, Ace smiled and kissed my forehead before we walked back to where our things were.

Ben was sitting on the sand, and when he saw Ace and I, he smiled and asked if I wanted to go swim in the ocean with him. When I told him I couldn't swim, he looked at me with a bewildered look. That was until a smiled formed his face.

"You're strange." Was his only comment.

After the beach, we went to an ice cream parlour and walked around one of the large park that was near by before heading back home. Also known as going to Ace's house and having a movie marathon.

Sarah and Ben were arguing about which movie to watch first as Levi made the popcorn. Jacob and Charles went home. As for me, I was feeling nervous about showing the gift Ace.

I was currently in his room, sitting in his bed as I waited for him to come upstairs. I asked if we could talk in private, and of course, he granted my wish. Before I could speak, however, his mother called so he had to answer it. Luckily, it gave me a few minutes to think about what I was going to say.

I just really hope he likes it.

He probably won't since this isn't something new, nor unique at all. Jeez, what was I thinking? This is such a lame gift, and I'm such a lame girlfriend.

Finally, he walked into the room, closing the door behind him.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" He asked, sitting so his body was facing me. I grabbed the bag from the floor and did the same before handing him the bag.

"Happy birthday," I said, giving him my best smile.

Ace smiled back and began to take the jar out of the box. He didn't say anything, which made me anxious of what he thought about is. Did he like it or not? The silence broke when he decided to read the words I printed out and taped on the jar.

"Ace's 365 Jar," he mumbled. "Within this jar, you will find three hundred sixty-five notes from me to you, that are colour coded to the themes below. Every morning for the next year, you can pick up one note to read."

As he finished if the rest of the printout, there was another pause of silence. I was just about to ask if he didn't like it - because the silence was killing me - until he faced me and I saw a wide smile on his face.

"I love it, thank you," he said, cupping my cheek and bringing me into a kiss.

"I got you something too," he said when we pulled away.

"But, it's your birthday."

He smiled. "I know, but I couldn't help myself. Sarah knows about it, so she'll tell you what you need to do."

x-X-x

I knew we were going somewhere because Sarah told me to pack my bags for a vacation. She never mentioned where though. All she said that it was going to be hot at where we're staying.

It also wasn't just me and Ace going—although he said he wanted it just to be us. He tried to keep it a secret, but Ben managed to find out and he demanded that he goes to. To make sure that Ace and I don't to anything freaking.

So, if Ben was going, might as well invite everyone. I was the only one who didn't know about it until yesterday. Today was the day we leave, and Ace already had everything ready.

We were going to use Ace's private jet that he got when he was seventeen, but never had a chance to use it yet.

Damn rich people.

When we got on, it was only then Ace decided to tell me where we were going—Santorini, Greece. I've never been there before, and have only seen pictures of the place. Sarah's been there once three summers ago and told me that it was a beautiful place.

Since it was earlier in the morning, I decided to go to one of the rooms and get a few more hours of sleep until we arrive. I closed my eyes just as in heard the door open before it was closed. I felt the bed dip, and a hand move the strands of hair away from my face.

"Thanks for taking us to Greece," I mumbled tiredly, knowing it was Ace.

"You don't have to thank me," he chuckled. "We're not even there yet."

"I know. But I just wanted to say thank you."

"Don't thank me yet. Summer has just begun. There's a lot of things to do."

And a lot of secrets to discover.

I'm sorry for any spelling mistakes! Please correct me if there are any!

Kind of upset that there wasn't a lot of comments on the previous chapter. So I'm guessing the majority of you guys didn't like it?

I've been getting a lot of questions such as:
"What's happens to Mr King and Mr Summer?"
"What about Mr White?"
"Is the story about how Louis and Ace going to be in the next book?"

Everything will we explained in the next book, which I will soon publish the first chapter! That is after I'm done writing my essay and tests.

Don't forget to comment, vote & share! I would appreciate it!
