"Y/n, can you please get the cookies from the oven?" My older sister asked as she tried to feed her two month old daughter.

I put my book down and stood up from my chair. I slowly made my way to the oven, trying not to slip due to the fact that I was wearing a pair of socks while walking on a tiled floor. Once I was able to carefully take the sweets out, I returned to my position back on the chair by the counter.

"Thank you." She said, trying to burp her child.

"How are you holding up with having to take care of a newborn baby of your own?" I asked, taking the cup of hot chocolate into my hands.

"Well, it's not like I'm doing it alone but it honestly gets tiring."

"You know that I could always babysit, right? And I think Shawn wouldn't mind helping out too."

"Speaking of Shawn, how are you two doing?"

I felt heat rush to my cheeks and shifted my gaze to the cover of Pride and Prejudice. I absentmindedly fiddled with the bookmark as I tried not to think too much about the boy I've fallen hard for.

"What do you mean, y/s/n? We're just friends." I muttered.

"Right. But your reaction says otherwise." She giggled as little Ellie let out a burp.

"I... I mean, I like him. I like him as more than just a friend. But let's get real here. It's impossible that he will ever feel the same. Not to mention the fact that he's surrounded by girls way prettier, skinnier, more talented, and nicer than me. And he's famous. Most girls would throw themselves at him."

"He's your best friend. I thought that you would know what he looks at by now. I doubt that he's the kind to focus on outer appearance and capabilities rather than personality. And he knows you well enough so maybe there's a chance."

"Y/s/n, I-"

I was cut off by a loud knock coming from the front door. I got off the chair once again and made my way over to the living room. I turned the knob and opened the wooden door only to find my best friend smirking at me.

"I'm here. Your life just got better." He said, laughing as he opened his arms for me.

"I didn't know you were coming home!" I exclaimed, wrapping my arms around his neck as he pulled me into a hug.

"I wanted to surprise you. I made sure that Aaliyah wouldn't tell you either."

"Come in, you might freeze your ass off out here."

We pulled away and went inside, shutting the door shut from behind us. He took my hand in his glove covered one and rubbed his thumb on the back of it, making heat rush up to my cheeks. Y/s/n went out of the kitchen to see who it was and gave me a knowing look once she was our hands intertwined.

"Hey Shawn! Didn't know you were coming over!" She said, rocking Ellie in her arms.

"Neither did I." I joked, nudging him.

"I wanted it to be a surprise." He chuckled, taking his hand out of mine and throwing his arm around my shoulder. "I just got back three days ago."

"Well, it's nice to see you back. Y/n, can you please ice the cookies? I need to put little Ellie to sleep."

"I can put her to sleep if you want. I know how baking helps you calm down and you've been tired for the past weeks." I offered as my niece wrapped her hand around the finger that I reached out to her.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am."

I took the  baby in my arms and smiled down at her as she stared at me with her big, doe like eyes. I rocked her in my arms as I slowly made my way to her nursery. Shawn followed me and sat down on the plastic chair beside her crib. I gently hummed a lullaby and even sung a little in order to lull her to sleep. Once she did, I gently placed her down and left the room.

"You're so good with kids." He muttered.

"She's just easy to handle." I replied, giving him a small smile. "I've always wanted a younger sibling."

"She reminds me of Aaliyah when she was still a baby."

I glanced out of the nearest window and saw the snow piling up high, cover half of it. "Oh shit."

"Why? What's  wrong?" He asked, his tone slightly raised in alarm.

"I guess you're stuck here until the weather's good enough. Look outside."

He glanced out the window and swore. We both went to the doors leading outside only to find them stuck. He sighed before walking over to me with a sad smile. He took me into his arms and buried his head into my neck. I brought my hand up to his back and tried to soothe him since I know that he's panicking over something.

"You can stay here, if you would like. I mean, you have no choice. We'll just spend Christmas Eve making cookies, playing board games or something, and chill by the fireplace, like we use to as kids." I said, trying to cheer him up.

"You're right. It's just that... I promised Aaliyah that we could hang out tonight but I think she'll understand." He muttered.

"She will."

I grabbed his hand and stepped away from his hold, pulling him with me to the kitchen. We helped my sister bake and decorate for tomorrow's Christmas lunch while chatting. Most of the time, he stayed by my side, occasionally grabbing my hand or wiping green and red icing on my face. A cry erupted from the baby monitor, making y/s/n run out of the room and to the nursery.

As I was about to take the white piping bag from the other side of the table, I felt his hands on my hips. I turned around to face him and found him a little too close to me. I just stared into his eyes and before my brain could acknowledge it, his lips were on mine. I let myself get lost at the feeling and pulled him even closer by the collar of his shirt.

"Oh my God!" I heard my sister say in shock.

We both pulled away and awkwardly stepped away from each other, rubbing the back of our necks nervously. Y/s/n suddenly burst out laughing before leaving the room, muttering an "I'll leave you two kids to continue whatever you were doing. Just don't make babies on my kitchen table."

We just looked at opposite sides of the room as the atmosphere was filled with awkward and uncomfortable silence. After a while, Shawn cleared his throat, thus breaking it.

"I... Uh... I'm sorry." He muttered. "It's just that... I like you... Fuck it, I don't like you, I love you and I... I just couldn't hold it in any longer. It kills me to be this close to you yet not do anything about it so... I took the risk."

"Shawn, I... I love you too." I said, barely above a whisper, turning to face him.

He turned around as well before taking me into his arms and holding me tightly. "They say that celebrating Christmas with the ones you love is the best feeling ever. I guess that it'll be a hundred times more with you."

A/N: Merry Christmas everyone! (It's currently 1 AM, December 25 where I'm from) I'm sorry if this was kinda bad. I've been trying to think of a good Christmas imagine for the past days but ended up with this. I wish I could have done better. Anyways, HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Gifts and food are all fun but let us remember the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ, our savior. As said in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." God sent His only Son in order to bring us closer to Him and to be the bridge in our relationship with Him, the relationship ruined by our sins. (I'm sorry if you're not Christian btw. Just felt like adding this message to the Author's Note since I just noticed that some people forget the real meaning of this Holiday)
