"No one in the world could stop me from not moving on, baby even if I wanted to. Nobody compares to you." My best friend was singing under her breath as we went around the bookstore.

I finally get to hang out with y/bff/n after months and months of being away. I barely get to go with her since I'm always with my boyfriend, touring all over the world and just being with him every hour of the day. I absolutely love seeing him live his dream and even be a part of it. But sometimes, being part of his life means having to cut some of mine off. I can't exactly meet my friends when I'm on the other side of the world.

"Really? Nobody Compares?" I laughed.

"What? Even after all this time I still find it catchy." She said shrugging.

I rolled my eyes and continued looking through the John Green books on display. I think I may have read like four of his books; Paper Towns, Looking For Alaska, The Fault In Our Stars, and Will Grayson, Will Grayson— which he wrote together with David Levithan. I would read An Abundance Of Katherines but according to some people, it sucked and is not worth it even though it's rated as 3.7 out of 5 stars at Goodreads.

"How about this one?" She asked pointing at my favorite book.

"I have the pdf file on my computer. I saw the movie. So, why not? Having the actual book would probably be good since I could re-read it without getting eyesore." I said grabbing The Fault In Our Stars.

It's the only paperback copy there is and the hard bound ones are a bit higher in terms of price and I'm still saving up to visit my brother back in (your country/province), so every penny counts. I tried to get it but something was pulling it from the other side.

"Give me the book!" I said pulling it.

I finally got the book but I hear something hit the shelf from the opposite side. I inspected the cover only to feel my heart slowly breaking. I don't care if the person on the other side is

"It's ruined." I said in terror as I saw a small mark on the cover.

I saw a figure making their way over to me and... Shawn?! What the hell is he doing here?! And judging by the pained look he was sporting, he was the one I got the book from.

"All that trouble for a book you already read? Really, y/n?" He asked, rubbing his arm.

"You crumpled the cover!" I whined.

He chuckled and  reached his arms out for me, wrapping them around my shoulders as mine found themselves around his torso. Just being in his arms is enough to calm me down. He kissed my forehead before stroking my hair.

"Sorry babe. I just wanted to read the book that made my princess cry."

"What are you doing here anyway? I thought I told you I was gonna hang out with y/Bff/n." I asked, raising my eyebrow at him.

"I missed you. I can't survive even just three hours without you." He said kissing the tip off my nose.

"y/n?" She stuttered.

"Yeah?" I asked looking at her.

"Nothing, nothing. I'll just... uh... go and look for some Rick Riordan books."

I nodded and gave her an apologetic smile. She just smiled back as if everything is okay and went to the shelf behind us.

"Tell you what, I'll buy you the hard bound version as an apology for marking the book a little." he said pulling away from the hug.

"No thanks. I don't want you to spend your money on someone as useless like me." I said, shaking my head.

"How many times do I have to remind you that you're not useless? y/n, you're everything to me. I would do anything for you. I will always treat you like royalty and I would gladly spoil you. Besides, it's the least I could do to say sorry for destroying your day out with your friend." He said, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.

He reached up to the top shelf and got the book. He was wearing shades and a black hoodie together with his usual white shirt and blue jeans so the fans won't recognize him that much. After he paid for the book, we went over to the Rick Riordan books.

"y/bff/n!" I said getting her attention.

"Hey y/n." she stuttered.

I know her well enough to know that she recognizes Shawn even in his "disguise". She and I used to fangirl over him back when I was just a fan, not the world famous singer who happened to be discovered through his Vines and YouTube covers' girlfriend. And because Shawn and I haven't made our relationship public yet, she doesn't know that we're dating together with the rest of the fandom.

"Um... y/bff/n, this is Shawn Mendes, my boyfriend, the only reason why I'm barely around." I teased Shawn.

"Shawn, this is my best friend, y/bff/n. My crazy non-biological sister who has been there for me since 3rd grade." I said introducing y/bff/n to my extremely attractive boyfriend.

"Hi." She stuttered.

"Hi. Nice to meet you, y/bff/n." He said, shaking her hand and giving her a friendly smile.

"It's nice to meet you too."

"I have to go to the studio in an hour. See you at home?" He said to me, taking my hand in his.

"Sure. See you later." I said, smiling.

He leaned in and kissed me. I immediately kiss back although I can see my best friend looking in a different direction. He kissed me on my forehead before pulling away and walking away.

"Bye. I love you." He said, winking at me before blowing a kiss.

"Love you too." I said giggling.

"Shit!" y/bff/n said.

"What?" I asked innocently.

"Your boyfriend's the guy we've always dreamed of being with. You lucky bitch! How come you didn't tell me?!"

"We want to keep it a secret for now. I had always been the girlfriend undercover all throughout the tour."

"Well, I ship it." She said, winking at me.

"Shut up." I said, blushing.

A/N: I wrote this in eight grade and I have to say, I'm pretty proud of my 14 year-old self for writing this. I had this in my files for almost two years now (CAN'T WAIT TO TURN 16 IN AUGUST!) and I thought it would be cute to post it here.
