It killed me to leave Angel standing there in the middle of the restroom. Still, I knew what I needed to do and nothing could stop me now. I had to get both Damon and my father out of my life for good; otherwise, I’d be looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life, never able to live peacefully.

Lifting my head high and my shoulders back, I walked passed Bruce as if he didn’t exist.  I could she Damon sitting there, talking to some hot little server as I came up to the booth. Ushering her away as I approached, Damon stood up to greet me.

“Darling, there you are. I was beginning to think you ran off on me.” Damon teased.

Trying to smile, I replied “No, not this time around anyway.” Thankfully, Damon just laughed. Maybe he thought I was teasing. Truth was, for a split second I thought about taking Angel by the hand and making a run for it.

Noticing Damon’s eyes move from me to Bruce, I waited for what was coming next. I could tell that I was holding my breath, until Bruce nodded and returned to his post. I had no idea what the signals meant, but it must have been good, since nothing seemed to happen next.

“Well, I’m glad you came back. I must say, I’m surprised and happy that you’ve been such a good little girl.”

Trying to return is smile; I scooted into the booth and grabbed Damon’s hand to have him follow. I wanted him facing away from the restroom doors, when Angel made her departure. “Here, Damon. Why don’t you try one of these strawberries?” I said, as I slowly bit into one. “Oooh… myyyy… goooodness, these are fabulous.” I moaned with delight.

Seeing the lust build in Damon’s eyes, he slowly took the strawberry I was offering and put it in his mouth, causing me to feel repulsed by his simple action.

“You’re right beautiful, they are fabulous.” He agreed, while licking his fingers.

To cover my disgust, I reached for my glass of champagne and drank it down. I was a little taken back by the bitter after taste, but just shrugged it off.

“Vivian, would you like to continue to dance. I don’t mind sitting here, even if it’s just to watch you.”

For how full of energy I was just a moment ago, I suddenly started to feel a little sleepy. “No, I think I’m good.” I yawned suddenly.  “Maybe it’s time to head home.”

Damon sat there for a moment just looking at me before he answered. “I have a better idea. I have a suit reserved here for tonight.”

“What?” I exclaimed. “We can’t stay… we have to go home. Huh… I don’t have any clothes here. None of my things.” I could feel myself panicking.

“Darling we’re rich. I’ll just call down to the concierge, and she’ll have something sent to our room.”

“You mean that Brenda chick? You want her to pick something out for me to wear home?” How in the hell was I going to get out of this?

“Yes… you really don’t like her do you?”

“No, it’s not that. I… I… I don’t think it’s a good idea.” I finally told him.

“Nonsense. It’s all set up and ready for us.”

“You had this planned didn’t you?” I know I shouldn’t have felt tricked, but I did.

“Maybe.  Is that a problem? I thought you were having a good time?”

“I doesn’t matter if I was having a good time or not. You should have told me your plans earlier. I feel like this is a dirty trick.” I replied. Not to enthused about the idea. I knew I needed to get back to the compound to check on my father, let alone get out of the hotel. We couldn’t run into Angel or Tone. It would be disastrous.

“Vivian, it’s going to take us at least forty minutes to get home, so why not spend a peaceful night here away from your father and everything else. I’ll send you back in the morning with Rogers, you can leave as early as you wish. I have business to attend to anyway, so we can have a nice breakfast before you head home, if you like.” Damon tried to rationalize the situation for me.

“Fine, whatever.” I threw up my hands. “It’s not like I have a choice anyway.”

“Vivian, don’t be like that.” Damon sighed.

“Come on, let’s go to the room. I’m tired and want to go to sleep.” Trying to scoot out of the booth, I pushed him a little to get out of my way.

“Yes, let’s go.” He replied.

“Whatever.” I huffed, as Damon was oblivious to the fact that I was pissed off or just didn’t care.

While trying to get out of the booth, Damon offered me his hand for assistance. Pissed, I pushed it away, standing up quickly on my own accord. Suddenly my head started spinning, as a wave of fog took over me, causing me to stumble right into his chest.

“You okay, sweetness?” Damon asked as he steadied me.

Shaking my head a little, in hopes of clearing the fogginess that seemed to be rolling in, I responded, “I’m fine. Just take me to this forsaken room. I think I need to lie down.”

I tried to take another few steps, and started to sway. “Here, just let me carry you. I don’t need you falling and cracking her head open.” Damon declared as he scooped me up into his arms.

Folding my arms across my chest, I leaned into him. Hating the fact that he could actually carry me and I had to let him. Otherwise, I’d be face first on the floor, which wasn’t an attractive prospect.

This time as we made our way through the casino, I didn’t feel any excitement. It was more dread that filled every fiber of my being.  I had no clue what was wrong with me and why all the sudden I started feeling like crap. Had it been something I ate or drank?

Inside the elevator, I expected Damon to put me down, but he continued to hold me in his arms. As we made it to the eighth floor, the doors chimed and opened. Damon’s goons were standing outside the doors of our suite, protecting their master’s domain like good little guard dogs. I don’t know why I expected anything different. He never went anywhere that I could see without them.

“Here we are princess.” He seemed so proud of himself.

“Humph.” I hissed

“What, you don’t like the room.” He asked.

“The room is fine. Just put me down please.”

I didn’t have to ask twice, Damon set me down on the bed and I lied back, recalling the last time I was in a hotel room with him; the wonderfully horrible night, before I was forced to marry him.  It seems like a lifetime ago. Has it only been a month?

Steading my breathing, I began to feel the fog move in deeper; making everything around me hazy. I couldn’t even enjoy the beauty of the room that he had filled with lilies, only their sent filled my lungs.

“Damon.”  I called out to him.

“Yes, my darling.”

“I don’t feel so good. Something is wrong with me.” I whimpered.

I could see Damon on the side of the bed, taking off his suit jacket and placing it on a chair. He slowly undid his tie and slid off his trousers. Crawling onto the bed next to me, he reached down and slipped off my heels.

“You’ll be fine in a few hours. Just rest here.” He cooed as he pulled me into his arms.

Laying there in silence, I watched the digital clock tick by, as I tried to focus on numbers I couldn’t make out for the life of me. Every time I closed my eyes, my I felt my body drifting to a place I didn’t want to go.  All I could think about was the champagne I drank that tasted bitter. Had someone put something in it when I left for the rest room?

Damon continued to nuzzle into me stroking my hair, and running his fingers over my neck and shoulders. Soon I felt his lips on my skin. I tried to pull away, but my body was heavy. I was unable to do anything more than squirm.

“Damon, don’t.” I tried to protest, but it came as a hoarse whisper.

“Shhh… my darling. It’s going to be okay. Just wait and see.” He cooed.

I couldn’t believe this. He drugged me. He had to have drugged, otherwise, why would I feel like this. He’s a crazy fucking bastard. I should have known all this was an act. Once a psycho always a psycho; they can only hide how cracked they are for so long.

Trying to push up against him, I couldn’t move.  Everything felt like a dream, but I knew it was real. Damon lifted my arm to unhook and unzip the side of my dress, slowly sliding it down my body as I felt his lips caressing my skin. “Damon, stop!” Crying out, I tried to move again. But the only sound coming out of my lips was a faint whisper.

“Nonsense my love. It’s time we came together. You’re mine and only mine.” He groaned into my stomach as he continued to kiss my belly; making it churn in disgust.

His assault on me didn’t stop, no matter how hard I protested.  Soon, my lace panties and matching bra were a thing of the past. I could feel Damon’s hands all over me. He didn’t seem to care that I didn’t respond to his touch this time around. The point was I couldn’t respond with more than a whimper.

When I felt him roll my nipple with his tongue, tears started to roll from my eyes. I couldn’t believe this… I tried with all I had to just make the feeling go away.

Damon didn’t seem to care, for he ignored my tears and continued on his quest to take me against my will. I could hear him mumble into me. “Mmmm… you’re beautiful… mine forever…  I love you my darling… you make me so hard…  I can’t wait feel inside you.”  Or something to that respect. I couldn’t really understand the half of what he was saying through my drugged haze.

It didn’t take him long until he was ready to take me fully. I felt him lift my legs, as he ran his fingers over my treasure.  Feeling him just at my entrance, I let out a blood-curdling scream. I had no idea where the strength came from, but I couldn’t stop screaming.

Suddenly, Damon’s hand was across my mouth. “Shhh… baby, it will feel like heaven.” He said, trying to calm me down.

Biting his finger, I continued to scream. My scream became louder and more frantic. Feeling his hand come down hard, he slapped me across the cheek, as I hear him growl. “Shut up you stupid bitch. You’re going to take it and like it… I’ve waited to fucking long for this you teasing whore.”

I was still unable to move, but I could still scream and I did, right up until the moment I heard the door to our hotel room busting open.

“Get your hands off her!” I heard Angel scream at Damon.

“I thought I got rid of you, you stupid bitch!” Damon roared.

“Like hell you bastard. Now get your hands off of Violet.” She screamed.

“Bruce! Sid!... where are my men?” Damon yelled out for them.

“Well, from where I see it, they’re knocked the hell out and should be out for at least thirty minutes. So it’s you and me.” Tone hollered out to Damon. “Now get your fucking ass off of her before I make you.

“How are you going to do that?” Damon spat.

“It’s easy, you mother fucker. This time around you don’t have a fucking vest on to protect your sorry ass.” Tone called out to him, as he pulled the gun from his waistband.

That is when I saw it, the look in Damon’s eyes. For one split second, I saw the fear, right before the crazy came out.  Jumping off the bed fully naked, he stood before Tone and Angel.  “I should have killed you both when I had the chance.” He said.

“That was your mistake. You should have, but you were too much of a pussy to pull it off.” Tone taunted him as he aimed the gun at his chest.

“You don’t have the balls.” Damon retorted. “You shoot me and cops will be on you so fast. You just broke into my room and threatened my wife and me.”

“Actually, what the cops will find out, is you kidnapped my girlfriend, held her for a month against her will, and we broke in as you were about to rap her, right after you beat her.” Angel called out to him.

“Prove it bitch.” Damon growled.

Lifting up her cell phone, Angel pushed play. I couldn’t see the picture, but I could hear me screaming and Damon calling me a bitch an a whore. Even the slap seemed to echo from the small speakers. Just when I thought it was over, the recording kept playing… there was Damon confessing he should have killed them to begin with.

“You see you little prick, all I have to do is turn this over to the cops. I think this is just cause or something like that.” Angel calmly told him. “So now, you better let my Violet go and stay out of her life.”

“You cunt!” Damon roared as he rushed her, before he could cross the room, a shot rang out, echoing through the hotel.

“You shot me!” Damon cried out. “You fucking shot me man.” As he crumbled to the floor, holding onto his kneecap, that had been blown to shit.

“No shit Sherlock. You were warned dumbass.” Tone retorted.

Moments later, security came rushing into the room, as Angel made her way to me, covering me with a blanket. “What did you do to you baby.” She cried.

“Angel.” I whispered. “You saved me once again.”

“I’ll always save you baby.” She cried into my neck, as she held me, rocking me into her.

Everything happened in a flash. The hotel staff called the police and this time they were real, not some random renta cops that Damon had hired when he was shot at our wedding.

“Mrs. Hannon, we need to take you to the hospital.” The female office told me.

“Please, don’t call me that. My name is Violet.” I told her.

“Yes, Violet. We need to get you to the hospital and check you out and then get your statement, when you’re up to it.”

“Angel!” I called out to her. “Don’t leave me.”

“Never again baby girl. Never again.” Tears filled her eyes.

Angel rode with me in the ambulance, since Tone had to be taken down to the station. She never let go of my hand or left my side through the whole ordeal.  The doctors ordered a drug test, knowing it would be damaging evidence in the case the state would be making against Damon.  The female officer told me that he’ll be put away for a long, long time, just with the evidence they gathered tonight.  Kidnapping, attempted murder, and attempted rape will be hard charges to beat, especially with the damaging confession on Angel’s phone and the drugs running through my system.

Tone was let out on bond, which I had Liz put up for me. I promised I’d get the money to her and she told me she wasn’t worried about it.

“I’m just happy you’re going to be able to get away from this creep. That’s all papa and I wanted to begin with.” She told me.

All I could say was thank you over and over again.

Once the doctors had given me a clean bill of health, I was able to give my statement. I explained how just over a month ago, he’d come into the establishment I had been working in and bought my time. After a couple of days, he took me to a meeting with my father and declared I was to marry him the next morning. Both Angel and I told them how they had kidnapped her and threatened to kill her if I didn’t marry him.

The detectives were very interested in what happened at the wedding and how Damon had been pronounced dead, only to return from the grave the next day. Of course, we didn’t mention Tone’s part in the attempted murder, since Damon must have many enemies. Otherwise, why would he travel with so many armed security guards?

I explained how I had left to go back home to talk to my father and to end this battle between us. That was where I kidnapped and taken to my father’s house and held there against my will.

The detectives had a number of questions, which I tried to answer as truthfully as possible. They wanted to know why I stayed and why I pretended to be his happy little wife. I explained I did it all in fear that he’d kill Angel and Tone. Something that I couldn’t live with, their deaths being on my hands.

After a few hours, their questions were over. I was told not to leave town After being given some paper work and a few business cards, I was told I should contact a lawyer as soon as possible.

Thankfully, Liz had stuck around after setting Tone’s bail and offered to drive us back to the compound.  I needed to get my hands on that will as soon as possible.

We found out that Tone was also told to stay in town. So it was decided that we’d be staying at the compound, since technically it was mine. Tone followed us in the pick-up truck he’d bought when he and Angel had gotten into town.

It wasn’t until we were on our way that my thoughts went back to my father.

“Liz, can I use your phone?”

“Sure thing doll.” Liz said as she handed it to me.

I dialed Hilda’s personal number, praying she’d pick up.

“Hello?” I finally heard her voice on the other end.

“Hilda, its Vivian.”

“My goodness child. Where have you been?”

“It’s a long story, but I’ll be home shortly. Are any of Damon’s goons there.” I asked.

“Yes. I believe there are four of those over grown fools roaming around here.” She told me.

“Okay, get them and my father to the front parlor. I’ll be home in twenty minutes and tell the staff they need to stick close to the house.”

“Vivian, is everything okay?”

I paused for a moment. “Yes, everything will be fine.” I told her.

Hanging up, I placed Liz’s phone on my lap and curled into Angel.

“You two are adorable.” Liz told us.

“Thank you.” I replied.

“So what are you going to do with Damon’s men and your father?” Liz asked.

“I was wondering the same thing.” Angel added.

“Well, they’re getting their walking papers.” Was all I said.

The rest of the drive home, I filled both Liz and Angel into everything that has been going on. Both were shocked at different point and Liz was amazed I hadn’t gone completely insane through the whole ordeal.

“All I kept thinking of was getting back to Angel. Baby, you kept me going, knowing you were out there waiting for me.” I told her.

With that, Angel kissed me and the rest of the drive was in silence.
