Once we were all showered and ready, we meet up in the board room to discuss what to do. I had recorded the conversation and played it back for them.

"So they're all meeting up at his place tonight?" Lucas asked to confirm.

"Yeah, they'll be there around eleven." I said shutting down the video.

"Great, then lets send Amira over-"

"No way in hell." Joshua said cutting off Johnathan.

"Why not?" He asked confused.

This time Cameron answered. "Because I'm not letting my best friend go into a rapist's house all on her own, especially one that is trying to have his way with her."

Johnathan's eyes widened when he realized and he turned towards me apologizing profusely.

"Relax I know you didn't understand, don't worry about it." I said with a wave of my hand. "But we do need to figure out a way to hear and record their conversation."

"If this was a spy movie we could have snuck into the house and listened." Lucas laughed.

We all looked at each other and his laughter died down.

"I was only kidding guys."

"No, it's perfect. I don't have to go in by myself and we will be able to get the evidence we need." I pulled my laptop towards me and started typing.

When I found what I was looking for, I put it up on the screen.

"Pearson's mansion?" Elliot asked.

"Yup, this is the outside and this," I said changing the picture, "is the inside."

I switched back to the outside and pointed at the house. "This is outside with all the marked entrances. Our best bet is the entrance from the servants quarters. Now the only question left is who'll come with me."

"I'll come," Elliot volunteered, "I taught you how to tread lightly and quietly on your feet when mountain climbing anyways."

Cameron nudged me and mouthed mountain climbing. I shrugged my shoulders in a whatever gesture.

"I'll go." Joshua said causing all of us to snap our heads to him.

"You?" Cameron asked shocked.

"Yes, I have been in his house before so I know what the inside looks like."

"When did you go to his house?" I asked.

"After he killed my parents, I went over to his house to get him arrested. Well you saw how that turned out. Anyways, we searched the whole place for clues but the son of bitch had everything planned." Joshua walked over and put the picture of the inside up on the screen.

"This is his room," he said pointing to the top room in the mansion, "and this is his bar which they'll most likely be at." He turned around and faced me. "You ready for this?"

I nodded my head and stared straight at him. "I've never been more ready."

*******************************

"Okay so maybe I'm not ready for this." I said looking at Joshua.

Cameron had forced me to wear an all black jumpsuit, I mean I looked like cat woman.

Joshua had on black pants and a sweater. He was grinning at me and looked highly amused.

"Oh screw you!" I shoved past him to head back to my room and change.

"I didn't even say anything." He yelled after me.

I changed into my black skinny jeans and a fluffy black sweater. I added a black beanie and laced up my combat boots.

When I was back in the living room, Cameron pouted at my outfit and I gave him the finger.

"Even when you're prepared to sneak in, you manage to look hot." Lucas said putting his arm around me.

Cameron and Joshua both glared at him and he gave a nervous laugh before pulling his hand back.

I smiled at him before telling them all we should head out now.

"Let's get some food? I mean we still have around two hours." Johnathan suggested.

We all shrugged our shoulders and decided we'd get some take out. When we had our food, we drove to Pearson's house and ate until it was time to head in.

We saw the Granters car drive in and waited ten minutes before heading in.

"Careful Mira, if anything goes wrong then say pineapple." Cameron told me before I left.

"Pineapple? Why can't I just say help or danger?" I asked confused.

"Because pineapple is cooler, now go!" He said pushing me.

I glared at him before walking away. I caught up with Joshua who was waiting for me beside the bushes.

"Alright, the servants entrance is around the corner but he has security cameras," he said pointing at a camera above the entrance.

"So how are we getting in?"

"The camera is rotating side to side, so we have to time it perfectly so once it's on the one side, we run in from opposite end."

"Or," I said pulling out servants outfits from my backpack, "we can blend right in."

He looked at me and started grumbling underneath his breath before grabbing the costume from my hand. We put them on over our clothes and walked towards the entrance with our heads down.

However that was the easy part, it got harder when we had to enter a code to get in.

"What now princess?" Joshua asked.

"Oh ye of little faith." I said pulling out my phone.

I called Elliot and plugged in my phone to the keypad. The software opened on my phone and I listened to him as he navigated me through everything. In five minutes time, the door was unlocked. I quickly stuffed my phone back before pulling the door open.

"How did you know there would be a keypad?" Joshua whispered as we walked through the servants quarters.

"I do my research." I said pulling open a door leading up to the main floor.

"Don't test me princess, there was no keypad when I came." He snapped.

"It's been over fifteen years, you really think he wouldn't change anything?" I asked as we crept along the walls.

"Well obviously but-"

I cut him off by putting a finger to my lips.

"Listen." I mouthed.

The sounds of footsteps coming toward us got louder and I pulled Joshua into the nearest room. It happened to be a linen closet and a very dark closet at that. The only light source was the small sliver of light from the cracks in the door.

I saw feet stop at the door and held my breath. I clutched Joshua's shirt tighter when the doorknob started to turn.

"No that can wait, the masters guests are here and we must go serve them."

The feet disappeared and I let out my breath. Although it got caught in my throat when I turned my head to face Joshua and brushed my lips against his.

I released his t-shirt and hit my back against the shelves. Towels fell on my head as Joshua pulled out a small flashlight. He was looking amused as I pulled the stupid towel off my head and threw it on the floor.

"Going for a new look princess?"

I growled at him and made a move towards opening the door. His hand wrapped around mine on the doorknob.

"Are you scared being alone with me princess?" He asked moving closer.

I felt his hot breath fan across my face and I had to fist my shirt from doing something stupid.

"What? No, you mean nothing to me so why would I be afraid of you." I answered back defiantly.

"Really? Then why can I hear your heart racing?"

I put a hand to my heart to feel the rapid beating of it against my chest.

"If I really mean nothing, why do you still have on my ring? Still didn't have time to take it off?"

I fisted my hand and ripped his hand off mine before throwing open the door. I stepped out and walked away without caring who saw me. As long as I was away from him, nothing mattered.

I stopped at the giant staircase with the enormous chandelier hanging in the middle. It was one of those staircases that lead you upstairs from the left and right side. A painting of Pearson hung in the middle, illuminated by lights.

"Of course." Joshua said looking at the painting.

I couldn't look at his picture anymore and started up the stairs. I pulled out my phone to help guide us to bar.

We heard sounds coming from the room across from where we were standing. We walked over and pressed our ears to the door. All I could hear is incoherent mumbling.

"There has to be a way in there without us being seen." I said moving away from the door.

"Maybe there is." Joshua said.

I looked at him to see he was staring up at the floor. I followed his line of sight to see a giant vent.

"Really? Now we're going to crawl through vents?" I asked sarcastically.

"After you Ms. Bonds," Joshua said propping open the air duct, "and watch out for booby traps."

I rolled my eyes but got down and started crawling. "Okay seriously, who has air ducts this freaking big?" I whispered yelled as we called through.

"Well clearly River Pearson, seeing as we are crawling through his air ducts." Joshua said from behind me.

"Oh shut up!" I yelled at him.

After a few more minutes of crawling and us fighting, we finally made it to the air vent over the room. I squirmed around until I was able to pull out the wire and stuck it to the ceiling. The camera was attached to the wire so all we had to do was sit back and listen.

"I'm going to kill that Collins!" River said slamming his drink on the counter.

"Easy bro, you'll break the glass." Jeremy said sipping on his drink.

"Oh fuck the glass!" River threw the glass across the room at the wall. It broke into a thousand pieces and flew everywhere.

"What the fuck dude?!" Roland shouted as a piece of glass hit him.

"I want her and I want her now!" River yelled oblivious to the death state he was getting from Roland.

"And you will get her, you just have to be patient." Jeremy said standing up to fix himself another drink.

"I've run out of patience, I wanted her the day I sat my eyes on her. Hell, I've snuck into her room more times than I can count but she's never there. That sluts probably fucking Collins every night!"

I dug my nails into my palms to stop myself from doing anything stupid.

"Snuck into your room?" Joshua asked confused with the undertone of anger.

I chose to ignore him and focus on what was unfolding in front of us but he wouldn't leave it at that.

"What room? Is this the room you booked under your fake name? He snuck in there?!" He asked raising his voice slightly.

"Ssh! They'll hear you." I yelled at him.

He wanted to say more but shut up when Jeremy spoke again.

"Yes yes, you want her, join the club. She hasn't left my mind since I saw her at the party. Those big full lips, that sexy thin waist and those long slender legs. God I want her." His eyes had darkened as he stared off into space.

I felt my skin crawl and had to shut my eyes to stop the images of a beaten and raped Elena from popping up in my mind.

I felt Joshua nudge me with his shoulder and I opened my eyes tentatively to see him looking at me worried. I just shook my head in a sad no and tuned back into the conversation.

"And we'll have her, we just need to figure out a way to get her alone." Roland said thoughtfully.

"How? She only ever meets me in public places and she is never where she is supposed to be!" River said slamming the counter.

"I think I know a way." Jeremy spoke up.

Just before he could say another word, staff members walked in with food.

"We'll talk later." River stated.

Cursing internally, I pulled the mic from ceiling and told Joshua to start backing out.

We ditched our servants outfits once we made it out of the vent. I walked swiftly though the halls not caring who saw me. After what I heard, getting caught was the least of my worries.

"Amira, slow down." Joshua yelled from behind me.

But I was too lost in my anger to hear him. He grabbed me by the arm and pulled me back.

"Relax princess, breathe."

"Breathe? After what I just heard about me in there? You seriously expect me to be calm?!" I said raising my voice.

He put his hand on my mouth and pulled me back into the same linen closest. He pulled the string hanging from the ceiling to turn the light on.

"It made me furious too but-"

"You? Why the hell would it make you furious? Not like they were talking about you." I mumbled.

"If you think it means that I care about you enough to get mad over some derogatory comments made about you then you can get over yourself. I only want to send the guy to jail and I can't do that if you let your anger get the better of you."

I pushed him away and moved back at far as I could. "Thanks for the heads up, never knew you cared so little."

"You want to be more clear princess? You're mad that I got mad and now you're mad that I'm saying I'm not mad."

"Whatever." I twisted the door knob and stepped out only to be pulled back in.

"I'm getting real tired of your attitude." His grip on my arms was tight and I could tell that if I said one wrong thing, he would explode.

But I was never the one to back down.

"Well that's too bad now isn't it?"

His eyes darkened and spun us around until I was pinned against the wall.

"I don't know what your problem is or what the hell you think of yourself, but there are people that care about you in his world princess."

"And you're one of them?" I asked.

"I could be," his voice and eyes softened, "if you let me."

I was at a loss for words, but I didn't dwell on it much because Cameron buzzed in.

"Mira?"

And that's when I realised everything we said was just heard by everyone.

*******************************
We drove back home in silence. Cameron hadn't said a word to me since I got to the car and the rest of the guys were casting nervous glances at each other.

I put my hand on Cameron's but he pulled it back as if he burned himself. I frowned and withdrew my hand. I didn't even know what I did wrong. Was it because of Joshua?

I looked up and met Joshua's eyes in the mirror. I quickly looked away and focused my eyes out the window.

As if I didn't have enough to worry about now I have to deal with my best friend acting like a emotional girl on her period.

Suddenly Joshua slammed on the break and we all flew forward. Cameron's hand shot out and grabbed me preventing me from hitting my head on the window.

"Are you okay?"

I looked at Cameron and nodded. He started to pull his arm back but I grabbed it before he could.

"Thank you." I said giving a small smile.

"Shut up Mira." He said pulling me closer and hugging me.

"Joshua why the hell did you slam on the breaks." Elliot asked from behind me.

"Because Lucas over here is an idiot." Joshua said grinding his words out through clenched teeth.

"It's not my fault! You went over a pot hole and made me spill my drink." Lucas whined from the front.

We all groaned and told him he was an idiot.

"I honestly feel so attacked right now." He pouted and crossed his arms over his chest.

Joshua yelled at him about how he told him not to open his drink in the car before finally starting the car again and driving home.

Everyone went straight to bed when we got back.

"You coming Mira?" Cameron yawned after each word.

"You go, I'll come in a bit." I said.

He yawned as he nodded his head and walked to my room.

Joshua had walked straight to his room when we walked in the door so I walked over to his room. I opened the door without bothering to knock and it proved to be a mistake as he was in the middle of changing.

I yelped and quickly spun around covering my eyes.

"Princess, you're acting as if you never saw me shirtless." He said suddenly behind me.

I froze in my spot when his breath hit the back of my neck. He placed his hands on my shoulders and turned me around. He lightly grabbed my wrists and uncovered my eyes.

"Open your eyes Amira."

"Are you wearing a shirt?" I asked.

He chuckled but said yes. I slowly opened my eyes and shut them again quickly.

"You liar!"

He started laughing and backed away, finally giving me room to breath.

"It's not that funny," I said opening my eyes and glaring at him.

He fell down on his bed and caught his breath.

"You're too cute." He said as he looked up at me. "So how come you're in here and not sleeping with your best friend in the other room?"

"I'm not sleeping with my best friend." I said defending myself.

"Yeah, you are. You both sleep together in the same bed, so you're sleeping with each other. What did you think I meant princess?" He asked standing up.

"Nothing." I said quickly.

"Really? Because I think you know exactly what I meant." He walked closer with each word until my back hit the door. "And I must say you have a really dirty mind."

"Oh shut-"

However the words got caught in my mouth when he lifted his hand and started tracing one finger up my arm. He got to my hair where he picked up a lock of hair and twirled it around in my fingers.

"What did you mean when you said you could be if I let you?" I blurted out.

He stopped twirling my hair and looked at me. His eyes drifted down to my lips before back up to my eyes. My heart rate picked up and I fisted my hands. He started leaning in and I automatically closed my eyes. I wanted to push him away but some part of me also wanted him to pull him closer.

His lips brushed mine softly as if testing the waters before he pulled me closer and deepened the kiss. My hands tugged on his shirt and pulled him even closer. His hands knotted themselves in my hair and we both moaned at the intense feeling of the kiss. He finally pulled away when my lungs were about to give out.

"Does that answer your question?" He said between his breaths.
