When we arrived, the driveway was filled with expensive cars dropping off people dressed in costly clothes.

The party was being held at one of the CEO's private mansion. It resembled the design of the White House, only this house was made of grey stones. There was a water fountain out front and the house itself was decorated in Christmas lights. A snow gave it a magical look.

I don't know why people with money felt the need to show it off. My parents had believed in simplicity and raised us in the house they had bought before they started the company.

Elliot held his hand out for me as I got out. We all looked around to make sure Pearson wasn't around to see us.

I walked a little ahead as they followed after me. I made sure to keep my distance from Joshua.

Inside, I scanned the room for any signs of Pearson. When I didn't see him, I pulled out my phone to message him.

Juliet: Hey, where are you? I'm already at the party.

A few minutes later he responded.

Asshole: I'm running a little late, should be there around 10 p.m.

I relayed the information to the guys.

"That gives us over an hour before we actually have to do anything. Okay well then I'm off to get some drinks." Ron said before taking off towards the bar.

The rest of the guys started to disperse around the room. Elliot stayed with me when he realized Joshua wasn't going anyways.

I smiled gratefully at him. We started talking about what the plan should be when Pearson showed up.

"Wilson, we're going to talk."

I stopped in mid sentence when Joshua came behind my shoulder.

"Joshua, not a good idea." Elliot said.

He glared at Elliot and told him to mind his own business.

"This is my business. At least until you learn how to behave with Amira."

Joshua made a grab for my hand but Elliot pulled me back by the arm.

"She's still hurt, or did you forget that already?"

Joshua peered down at my wrist that were covered by the dress. I saw guilt flash in his eyes.

"Please, just five minutes. Than I won't bother her again."

Elliot stared at him before nodding his head. He turned to me and reassured me he'd be close by.

I tried to stop him but he had left. I felt Joshua step closer but refused to acknowledge him.

"Amira, I-"

Although he never got to finish because someone bumped into me. I nearly fell over but the person wrapped their arms around my waist, preventing me from hitting the floor.

"I'm extremely sorry, please forgive-"

He stopped talking and his eyes narrowed slightly. I felt mine grow a little wide.

Cameron.

He stared at me for a while with a confused expression.

"Have we met?"

I gulped slightly and struggled for him to let go. He realized it and put me back on my feet.

I shook my head at him. "No I don't believe we have."

"You look awfully familiar, are you sure we haven't?"

"I'm positive." I said with a slight shake to my voice.

He studied me for a few moment longer before shaking his head free of his thoughts

"Forgive me, you just look like someone I know. My names Cameron Poler, nice to meet you." He extended his hand forward.

After a little hesitation, I shook his hand. "Juliet Wilcox."

He stared down at our hands before looking back up at me. I quickly pulled my hand back.

"Wilcox? As in the famous and reclusive Wilcox's?" he asked.

I slowly nodded my head. "Yes, that's the one."

"Well it's an honour to meet you. I'm sorry, I really think we met somewhere before," he said leaning in closer to examine me.

An arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me closer.

"I believe you're mistaken. She's only just arrived in the country a month ago and she's with me." Joshua said.

I was taken back his words but still had the urge to rip his arm off me. The only reason I didn't was because I didn't want Cameron figuring out it was me.

Cameron looked at Joshua's arm wrapped around my waist before looking back at me.

"Right, I'm sorry. It's just you look like someone that I know or well knew. I just really miss her. Anyways sorry for bumping into you," he said as he walked away.

I lifted my arm to stop him but quickly dropped it when I remembered at Joshua was watching me. I pushed his arm away and stepped back.

"You know him?" He asked me.

Instead of responding, I walked away. I don't owe him anything, especially after what he did yesterday.

I walked to the bar and ordered myself a sex in the driveway. Despite the ridiculous name, the taste was good.

"Well hello there," someone purred.

I groaned internally when I realised it was Javier Rocente. He was leering at me and looked about ready to pounce.

"You are absolutely marvellous, what is your name gorgeous?"

Saving myself the struggle, I just told him. "Juliet Wilcox."

His eyes lit up in surprise and he leaned closer. "Ah, a business world celebrity. It would be an honour to dance with you."

He held out his hand for me to take. I was just about to say no when Elliot came to my rescue.

"Actually, she promised me the first dance." He said stepping beside me.

I smiled gratefully at him and took his outstretched hand. We left Rocente looking embarrassed and livid at the bar.

"Thank you, I really don't have the strength to punch him right now."

Elliot laughed and pulled me to the dance floor. The live band was playing a soft jazz song while we danced around the room.

Every couple of songs, one of the guys would cut in so they could have a dance with me. All were extremely good but that was no surprise, they were good at practically everything.

But dancing with each one of them was completely different. Elliot followed the beat of the song and made casual conversation. Lucas and Johnathan both did their own steps and were cracking jokes the entire time. Ron followed the songs beat but kept the talking to a minimum. That was fine by me, I wasn't much of a talker anyways.

Joshua watched me dance with everyone from the bar. He had ordered himself drink after drink but was still sober. That lead me to think how many drinks had he had that day when he got drunk.

He threw back the last of his drink before getting up from the stool. He started marching over to where me and Ron were dancing. Right before he cut in, Ron pulled me away and lead me to other end of the hall.

"What are you doing?" I asked when he finally let go.

He simply nodded his head towards the halls entrance. I looked over to see that River Pearson has just walked in. He scanned the room before his eyes landed on me.

He smiled and started making his way over to me. When I looked back at Ron, I saw that he had already left. In fact, I couldn't see any of the guys anywhere.

"Juliet, I missed you." Pearson said as he hugged me.

I forced myself to hug him back.

"I missed you too. I was thinking a lot about the last time we met and I'm embarrassed how I left things. I am extremely sorry for punching you."

His smile dropped wavered a little before he lit back up.

"It was completely justified, I should never have tried to forcefully kiss you."

Says the asshole who snuck into my fake hotel room again last night. I had taken a small break while working on my company files to review the video footage of the hotel room I had booked under Juliet Wilcox.

Pearson had showed up every night continuously to look for me. Every time I heard him curse and yell when he couldn't find me.

He even slept in the bed one night waiting for me to show up. When I watched the footage, I wanted to wring his neck.

"Anyways, would you like to dance?"

Snapping out of my murderous thoughts, I accepted his offer. He led me to the dance floor and wrapped his grubby little hands around me.

"Okay Amira, the goal is to get him to admit something. Anything that can be used as evidence. So get him to talk and slip up." Elliot said through the mic.

"So I was thinking about everything you told me regarding Joshua Collins."

I felt him freeze a little before he regained his composure. "What about him?"

"I just fail to see how someone can do such horrible things. Why haven't you sent him to jail?"

"I guess that would be the customary thing to do but I just want to live my life. If I spent my entire life trying to get retribution, it wouldn't be living." He said as he spun me around.

"That makes sense. Although if someone shot me, I would want to make them pay."

"Oh he didn't shoot me, I shot him."

I pretended to be shocked and stopped dancing. "What?"

He realised what he had said and cursed. I pulled my hands away from him. "What do you mean you shot him?"

He ran a hand threw his hair and ruffled it up. "No you...you misheard me...I mean misunderstood me. I shot him to save my own life. Yeah, that's right! I shot him to save my own."

I feigned confusion. "Save your own life? What do you mean?"

"You know he killed my parents and their friends as well. It isn't impossible to think he would try to kill me. I had to defend to myself, it was do or die."

I stepped forward and kept a hand on his shoulder. "Forgive me, I jumped to conclusions."

He nodded. "I understand, anyone would do the same."

We resumed our normal dancing position. I heard Elliot speak over the mic.

"Great job! We got him to admit he shot Joshua, so let's see what else we can get."

I quietly danced with him while I formulated how to get him to admit something else.

"Are you still in contact with the friends who's parents got killed?" I asked after a while.

"No, they don't talk to me anymore. I mean who you? Knowing that you and you family are the reason your parents are dead. I miss them but I can't put them in more misery." He said with a depressed expression .

"You must miss them," I quizzed.

"All the time, they were my best friends." He said.

"Do you know where they are right now or what they're doing?" I asked.

"Not sure, but I just hope wherever they are, they're happy." He said.

"You haven't even bothered to check up on them? I mean they may be mad at you but if you say you miss them then you could always find out what they're up to." I told him.

"Are you implying I don't care about my friends?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

He was starting to get mad so I continued.

"I'm just saying, if you believe you're responsible for what happened-"

"I didn't do anything, it was all them. They should have known better." He snapped.

"Known better? You're telling me they should have known better than to be friends with you?" I asked.

"Not me, Collins! They stuck by his side and look what that got them, a bunch of dead parents!" He yelled.

"Collins? I thought they were you're friends, where did he come from?"

"It's him and his entire family, they never learn. They had so many chances to do the right thing, but did they? No! They were selfish and greedy and it was their friends who paid the price."

He started rambling on about everything and I leaned in a little bit so the audio would be more clear while the guys recorded it.

River seemed be have gone into some trance as he didn't realize he was providing evidence to incarcerate himself.

"Alright, now he's just spewing nonsense. Snap him out of it, we got what he needed." Elliot said after a few minutes.

"River," I said gently shaking him, "are you alright?".

He instantly stopped talking and stared at me for a while.

"What?" He said at last.

"I asked if you were alright, you just started mumbling to yourself."

"You mean you didn't hear anything?" He asked.

Deciding to take the easy way out, I said I didn't hear what he said and asked again how he didn't meet his friends.

"Like I said, I'm not going to reopen old wounds. If I check up on them, I might fall weak and contact them. They won't want to hear from me and I don't think I could handle the rejection."

This man was a seriously good liar. But then again, most psychopaths are.

"I can't imagine with having to deal with so much, how do you handle it?"

He lightly cupped my face and looked into my eyes. "When I meet people like you, it makes everything easier to bear."

"Quick get me a bucket, I'm going to throw up." Lucas said over the mic.

I smiled at his words but River thought it was because of him.

Someone tapped River on the shoulder and we both looked to see Cameron standing there.

My eyes widened a little bit and I stepped back from River.

"May I cut in?" He asked.

River looked at me before turning back to Cameron. "It's cool, you can have a single dance. I'm going to get some drinks."

I wanted to stop him but he walked off in another direction. Cameron held out his hand for me and I hesitantly placed my hand in his.

"So, I thought you were with the other guy. I mean not that it's any of my business but you just seemed really intimate with the man that just left." Cameron said as he moved us around the dance floor.

"Well you're right, it is none of your business."

He looked a little taken aback by my words but then nodded his head.

"Yes you're right, it's none of my business. I shouldn't have pried, sorry. Although, in my opinion, both look like jerks."

I didn't say anything and he got the message to be quiet and just dance. River had said one dance but after 3 songs, he still hadn't come back.

Cameron was staring at me the entire time and I was starting to worry he would figure it out soon.

A slower song started and he pulled me in closer. I made the mistake of looking up slightly into his eyes.

We were looking at each as we swayed to the song. I could sense him start to put pieces together so as soon as the song ended, I broke us apart.

"Thank you for the dance, but I must go find my date." I even curtsied for effect.

He didn't say anything and watched me go. I felt his eyes on me until I got lost in the crowd of people.

When I was finally far enough, I let out a sigh of relief.

"Um Amira?" Johnathan said over the mic.

"What?"

"Head to the north wing of the building. You'll be unsurprised to see where Pearson disappeared to."

I walked towards the north wing as Johnathan gave me directions. Eventually, I came upon a couple of doors. However, it was one door that caught my attention. I heard the distinct sounds of people shuffling around in there.

I tiptoed over to the door and slowly opened it. The sounds of someone moaning floated out.

I opened it up just enough to see inside without whoever it was inside seeing me. I heard some grunting and more moaning and was going to kill Johnathan for telling me to come here.

I was just about to message him when I heard a loud yes. The sound was soon muffled and I looked into see a girl half naked pushed up against the wall. Her mouth was being covered by a hand.

"Quiet baby, you'll draw an audience." River said as he groaned himself.

My blood boiled and all I could see was red. Before I could storm in and kill him, I quickly shut the door and walked away.

I couldn't believe he left me so he could go fuck another girl. It wasn't bad enough he forced himself on my sister but now he's enjoying his accomplishment by doing it with another girl?!

I can't wait to bash his head in. The sooner, the better. I stormed back into the main hall where all the guys were waiting for me.

"Let's go." I say to them without waiting for an answer.

I didn't even wait for them to follow me before I got outside. Ron and Elliot quickly bought the car to the front where we all plied in.

I was so mad I didn't even realise I had gotten into the same car as Joshua. Although it didn't matter because I was too busy thinking of different ways to kill a certain someone.

I got out of the car without another word and marched into the house. I went straight to my room and moved my dress.

I had to changed my bandages as they had started to bleed again. Before that I took a bath to wash off Pearson's disgusting touch.

When I done, I started the fireplace and curled into bed with a book to help distract me.

Somehow, I had managed to fall asleep. I awoke with a start. I had a nightmare of Pearson tried to rape Elena why I tried to get to her and no matter how far I ran forward, it was never ending.

I sat in bed and watched the flames dance around in the fireplace. Despite it being Christmas time, it had started to rain outside.

The innessicite rain hitting the window was driving me crazy. As if the thunder and lightning wasn't scary enough, the sound of the rain was pissing me off.

However, I always loved the rain. Feeling the raindrops against my skin and playing in the rain was always something Elena and I did.

I made a frustrated noise from being couped up inside and grabbed my shoes. I didn't feel like changing out of my shorts and t-shirt, so I will just deal with the cold. Carefully, I threw my hair into a bun and walked out of the apartment. Everyone was most likely asleep, seeing as the house was dead quiet. It almost felt creepy being in such a big house without any noise.

People in the lobby gave me looks for going outside in shorts during such a cold night. But after everything, I was beyond caring.

I was immediately drenched as soon as I stepped outside but I embraced it. I let the cool raindrops hit my skin and breathed in the scent mingling through the air. My bandages were getting wet but I would just change them when I got back.

I decided to walk to the park because at least there, I would be away from judgmental eyes.

As I had assumed, the park was completely empty, not a soul insight. Most people would be creeped out by the dark night and howling wind, but the lamp posts eliminating the path where enough for me.

I walked along the path until I reached a giant clearing. It was surrounded my trees with multicolour leaves and fairy lights were hung around them.

This park was used to host parties and people came here for picnics but seeing as how it was almost Christmas, it was probably decorated for that.

I jumped around in the giant puddles and slashed water all around me. I was smiling the entire time despite the turmoil that was raging inside me. I stopped to catch my breath. Spreading my arms out, I let the cool rain fall all over me. The drops of rain dripping from my fingertips.

"Well I'm really not surprised, only you would be stupid enough to come out at night during such weather."

I jumped at the sound of the voice and whirled around to face Joshua. He was standing on the path holding an umbrella. A frown was set upon his face. He walked towards me and brought the umbrella over both us, keeping me from getting drenched.

"You'll catch a cold, let's go." He made a move to grab my hand but I moved back out from the under the umbrella.

"No one asked you to follow me, I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself. You can go back if you want but I'm staying here."

His frown changed into a hard line and I could tell he was getting mad.

"Stop being so childish, if you get sick I won't be taking care of you."

"No one is asking you to and besides, you can't
