My leg was twitching again. Jumping up and down like a frantic grasshopper. My gaze looking everywhere but on my food. Where the fuck was he?

Kurt put a steady arm on my shoulder "Relax Rex".

"I am" I retorted automatically.

"Listen to me Rex, take my advice" Luke said between bites "-don't be so needy, trust me girls don't want that"

"But... Leo is a boy" Kurt said looking a bit confused.

"Same same, it goes both ways, you don't want a clingy girl leaping toward you every time she saw you"

"I wouldn't mind a clingy girl" replied the big grizzly sincerely.

Luke hit him from across the table."You are not helping" he hissed.

A light whistle chimed and a flock of birds entered through the windows on the left side of the meat hall. Soaring through the air. I found Leo's golden hawk easily in the mist, shifting mid air and landing gracefully like he was out for a stroll. Silver walking up next to him beckoning him to sit by them.

I was about to get up from my seat, when Luke gave me his death glare. Daring me. I slumped further down in my seat, defeated.

"You want my jelly Rex?" Kurt sympathetic eyes lingers on me.

"Thanks Kurt" I grabbed the jelly pack from his hands. Strawberry dream stood out in bold letters.

We ate our dinner, me trying to glance unnoticed twoards Leo, and Luke scolding me and hitting me pretty hard on my shoulder. I started to cringe from the pain and wondered if it looked heavily bruised by now.

A light prickle in my neck still me. And a gentle hand touched my arm. I turned slowly towards Leo.

"Hello" He spoke softly "Are you done?" he nodded to my plate.

"Hi" I stared at the beautiful boy standing over me. "Yeah.."

"Well uhm..." his arm went up to his neck squeezing lightly."Can you maybe show me the library?"

I guess my smaller head thought library was some sort of dirty code, cause it did a small spasm in my boxer briefs.

"Sure" I smiled to him and he happily flashed his pearly with teeth towards me, dimple and all.

As a gooey pudle, I got up and we started walking out the door.

"So how was your day?" I ask, wanting him to talk more to me.

"Oh... It was amazing" He lauched himself into his day, and how far they had flown, which also was the reason for the library research, he needed to study our grounds and terrain.

He continued talking about the other birds, what they had seen and about the pack of wild deer they had spotted for the ground hunting team. He was so excited, he was so happy.

"I'm sorry, I'm probably boring you with all this"

"No, not at all, I love hearing about your day" Omg did I just use the L-word in a sentence to him, I cringe inward and hope he didn't notice.

"How was your day?" he asks me, apparently unnoticed.

"Oh you know, same old" I sigh.

"That bad uhm..."

I snickerd to him and continued walking but stopped after realising he didn't follow. He glanced around in the small hall, as checking if we were alone, the corridor silent.

"Uhm.... you can smell me now"

"Hu?" did I hear him right? I stared blankly at him.

"You can smell me" He stated again a bit louder.

I swallowed, my throat dry "No".

"Oh....You dont want to?" eyes showing his disappointment.

I stepped closer to him, goosebumps spread up my arms. "I want to" I rasp out, his heavy breath warm against my skin. "but...."

"Smell me" he softly pleaded.

I closed the distance between our bodies, feeling the warm man in front of me. Sliding my hands gently up his arms, clutching his strong biceps. Tugging him even closer to my body and leaning my forehead to his. Both breathing heavy clinging to each other, our eyes starts to shift. His beautiful blue eyes glowing, a light circle appeared in flame, so alive.

His scent was everywhere, filling me up, making me whole and I clung to him like a life vest saving me from the deep. Slowly turning my head, gracing his cheek with my lips, a sweet moan escaped his mouth.

It was all I needed, I dug into his scent, nose buried deep in his neck, filling me up to the brim.

His breath hitched and came in a quicker pace. Bone hard against each other I knew we had to break apart soon. My animal close to the surface I licked from the bottom of his collarbone to the tip of his ear. "mine" I purr. He shivers beneath me and I slowly pull myself from him.

We stared at each other, slowly returning, heartbeats beating normal again.

I held out a hand to him, he took it linking them together as we walked hand in hand into the library.

---------------------------------------------------------

Flipping through pages he sat quietly on the floor by a large book shelf. One leg propped up resting the heavy binder on. His hand pushing back his lovely blond curls from his eyes, to again fall back down. "Your staring at me again"

"Sorry" I muttered. Glancing around at the thousands of titles around me, trying to find something else to look at only to yet again let my eyes fall over the beautiful boy across from me.

Sensing me staring again he finally looked up from his book. "What?"

"Its hard to believe your only sixteen"

"I'm tall for my age" his lips quirked up in the corner "and actually, I'll be seventeen in a month"

"Really?" I was a bit relieved, that would make it only a 3 years difference between us.

Not that it mattered that much, im sure when we grow older together the age difference will be less of an issue. The thought of us growing old together made me all mushy inside, I bite my lip trying not to give away too much of my feelings towards him.

I didnt know I was such a lovey dovey soft ball inside, but then again I never had any sort of crush on anyone growing up. Was it the perfect mate making me yearn for his touch? Would I still feel this way without it?

My thoughts went back to the night we first met. Like a perfect picture sitting in the window frame, smiling to me with his cute smile dimples. I sighed and let out air from my mushy lungs.

"You don't have to stay"

"I don't mind" I quickly replied blinking away the memory.

"You almost fell asleep of boredom" He closed the book on his lap and stood to place it back in the shelf above him. "Its getting late anyways."

"You can bring it back to our place"

"Really?" His brow went up in a quizzical look. "You are allowed to take the books out of the library?"

"Ofcourse, its a library after all" I eyed him warily "Is this not allowed at Red Mountain tribe?"

"No" He gently placed his fingers over the binders in the bookshelf "Our library" he swallowed and started again "The Red Mountains library is huge, more like the size of your meat hall, it has rows and rows of books, mostly old ones, not any from the late 19 th century, never any modern" his hand stoped and scooped out a litle book, Its cover revealed a half dressed girl, boobs hanging out being caressed by a werewolf.

"Now thats a classic" I smikkered to him. He laugh out loudly while shaking his head.

"The King is very strict, no one were allowed to bring books from the library, if you on rare occasions were allowed in, one could only stay in the library to read it."

"Well" standing up I grinned at him gesturing to everything in the small library that was more like a corridore "-take what you want" And a small tiny bit of me hoped he would take me in his strong arms and carry me out. But oh well.

Biting his cheek he turned away from my gaze and started filling his hands with books.

I went to wait by the door and after a couple of minutes he came towards me with a high stack of books in his hands. I grinned at him "here let me help" and took half his stack.

"Thanks" he smiled at me.

---------------------------------------------------------

Back at our place I dropped the books down gently on the coffee table in the living room, one small book accidentaly slid down on the floor. The half naked girl cover screamed silently at me from the floor. I swallowed and picked up the book.

"Oh.." he snatch the book from my grasp "must have taken that by mistake" he swallowed not meeting my eyes, adams aple bobbing in his throat, "Il take it back to the library tomorrow." he rushed by me to the bedroom.

The stacks of books were stacked neatly on the table, the little pocket book on top. I glanced down my body and let out a heavy sigh. Of course he was interested In girls. Stupid breasts, I grabbed the book an put it in the bottom of the stack, out of sight out of mind, i hoped.

The next book title caugth my breath, it was small, black with golden letters written on it perfect match.

I glanced to the bedroom door, stil closed. Why had he picked this book? Open it I scanned the table of content, my finger stopping at the red pencil underlining chapter 6 how to break a perfect match.

I slammed the book shut. Dread filled me. He wanted to breake our bond. Why? I know I'm a man but, I thought he sort of liked me, or could start to. And I know he felt something in the corridor when I smelled him. Was it just his body? Did his mind not link the same way? Because mine sure did.

I thought finding my mate, my perfect match would make everything just fall easily into place. This is so much harder. And finding out he doesn't even want me, makes my heart bleed.
