ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  "๐ป๐ธ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐‘‚, Katherine." Stefan sighed as he crept into Alaric's old apartment, seeing the woman who looked identical to Elena. Adelaide followed behind him, watching her surroundings carefully. Klaus didn't seem to be here at this moment in time.
"Two days, I've been waiting." The five hundred year old vampire snapped as she pushed her self away from the counter to stand in front of Stefan and Adelaide. "I'm supposed to be free of Klaus' compulsion by now. He's supposed to be dead." She snarled.

"We ran into complications." Stefan huffed.

"Complications?"

"Doesn't really matter. I just need to find him. Do you have any idea where he might be?" Adelaide let out a yelp as Katherine pushed her back using her speed and strength while she used her speed to hide Stefan behind a wall. Adelaide groaned as her back hit the wall.

"Bitch," she muttered under her breath.

"Klaus, you're back." Speak of the devil.

Adelaide looked up as Katherine and Stefan moved away from behind the wall. Klaus and Elijah walked into the apartment. Klaus took a quick glance at Adelaide's state before growling at Katherine.
"Look who decided to come for a visit." She noticed Klaus's reaction when he saw Adelaide in pain so she directed his attention onto Stefan while taking a small step back out of fear.

"You just keep popping up, don't you?" Klaus smirked at Stefan as he made his way over to Adelaide. He picked her up before carrying her over to the sofa in the room, placing her down gently. Stefan watched as the parent big bad hybrid handled the girl with care. Something he hadn't thought Klaus was capable of.

"I need your help... we need your help." Stefan corrected himself, glancing at Adelaide, who strangely seemed to be completely fine now. It was like her back had healed. Stefan was sure he had heard one of her rib bones crack when she hit the wall. He frowned at her slightly, in confusion before looking back at Klaus. He did notice that she herself was extremely confused as to why she felt no pain anymore.

"For my brother." Stefan walked forward as he carried on speaking.

"Well, whatever it is, he's gonna have to wait a tick." Klaus replied. "You see, I have an obligation to my brother that requires my immediate attention." Klaus smirked as he pointed back towards Elijah, who stood behind Klaus, wearily. Klaus walked past Stefan as Elijah closed in on Stefan.
"You understand how important family is. Otherwise you would be here. My brother gave me his word that he would reunite me with my own." Elijah explained his reasons for not killing Klaus when he had the chance.

"And so I shall." Elijah turned around as Klaus appeared behind him, stabbing Elijah in the heart with a dagger. His skin when grey and old like while his veins appeared at the top of his skin. Elijah let out a groan as he slowly fell to the floor. Klaus then rushed over to Stefan, grabbing him by the neck as he pushed him up against the wall.

"Let him go," Adelaide stood up instantly, ready to try and protect Stefan no matter what.

"Hush little dove," Klaus chuckled at her. "Now, what am I gonna do with you?" He looked Stefan in the eye before shoving his hand into Stefan's body.

"You feel that," Klaus smirked as Stefan groaned, "It's scraping against your heart." Adelaide yelled at him to stop but he didn't listen. "The slightest little movement, and you're dead."

"He's just trying to help his brother." Katherine inputted, not particularly liking the boy she was in love with about to be killed.

"The witches said you had a cure." Adelaide added, knowing this because Stefan had filled her in on their way here.

"Make me a deal. Just give me the sure, and I'll do whatever you want." Stefan panted, gasping as Klaus suddenly ripped his hand from his chest. Luckily not damaging anything as he healed. Adelaide let out a sigh of relief as she rushed over to Stefan who had collapsed on the floor.

"Trouble is, I don't know if you'd be any good to me the way you are now." Klaus said as he wondered off to the kitchen counter to pout himself a drink. "You are just shy of useless."

Adelaide breathed in deeply as Klaus made his way to crouch down next to Stefan, "I heard about this one vampire, crazy bloke, always on and off the wagon for decades." Adelaide couldn't stop the shiver that passed down her spine from his low and gruff voice. "When he was off, he was magnificent." It wasn't hard to guess that Klaus was talking about past Stefan Salvatore. "1979, he went into Monterey and wiped out an entire migrant village..." Klaus said as he stood back up, downing the drink in his hand, "A true ripper." Adelaide kept ahold of Stefan's hand as he looked down to the floor, in shame of what he had done in the past. She gave his hand a comforting squeeze as she sent him a small smile. "Sound familiar?"

"I haven't been that way in a very long time." Stefan exhaled, looking up at Klaus.

"Well, that's the vampire I can make a deal with." Klaus shrugged, "that is the kind of talent that I can use when I leave this town." Adelaide helped Stefan stand up before letting him go as he had gain some of his strength back after healing.

"Katerina, come here." Klaus smirked as he beckoned the vampire towards him. Adelaide watched with cautious eyes as she witnessed Katherine get bitten by Klaus. He held her arm up and bit her on her wrist. Katherine let out a groan of pain as she struggled against Klaus.

"No, no, no, no." she kept repeating as a black mark appeared under her skin. Klaus was a werewolf and therefore she now would die unless she was given the cure.

"Adelaide love, I'm going to need a drop of your blood." Klaus turned towards her before walking to the kitchen counter to grab a glass and a knife. He handed her the knife which she took cautiously and hesitantly while he bit into his wrist, veins appearing under his eyes as his vampire face took over. He let his blood fall into the glass before handing Adelaide the glass. He smirked at her before she sliced her hand open, running the cold blade along her palm. She squeezed her hand together, forming a tight fist as she held it over the glass, letting her blood drop into it, mixing with Klaus's. It reminded her of the evening of the sacrifice. And surely enough, when she took her hand away and reopened her palm, the wound had completely vanished. Klaus smirked at her before swirling the glass around slightly, shoving it in Katherine's hands while telling her to drink. Stefan and Adelaide both watched as Katherine slowly drank all the blood, and surprisingly the werewolf bite began to heal.

"You want your cure? There it is." Klaus told Stefan, blood still dipping around his mouth. He wiped it away with his hand, licking his lips after.

"Your blood combined is the cure." Stefan noted, realising that both Adelaide's and Klaus's blood mixed together would form the cure.

"Gotta love mother nature." Klaus smiled evilly.

"Now, let's talk." Klaus led Stefan and Adelaide away from Katherine and to the kitchen counter, pulling a stool out for Adelaide. She glanced at Klaus before taking the seat.

Klaus grabbed a small glass jar before cleaning the knife Adelaide had used of her blood and then cutting his own palm open. He filled the glass a quarter the way before handing both to Adelaide. She repeated her actions from earlier before handing it back to Klaus. He swirled it around as he turned to face Stefan who was sat at the far end, watching him intensely, not liking how close Klaus was to Adelaide even though he knew deep down that Klaus wouldn't hurt her.

"There it is. You want to save your brother? How 'bout a decade-long bender?" Klaus aimed the last part towards both Adelaide and Stefan.

"You know, I have big plans for you when we leave this town." He told Stefan who was staring at the glass har, filled half way with Klaus and Adelaide's blood.

"I'm not like that anymore." Stefan breathed out, a few tears in his eyes.

"Well, that's too bad." Klaus smirked as he began pour the blood down the sink. "You would have made a hell of a wingman."
"Klaus, stop." Adelaide tried to get him to stop, watching as the blood fell down the drain. "Please." She begged him but he ignored her.

"Wait," Stefan imputed.

"Now that's more like it." Klaus stoped pouring the blood down the drain. "I want you to join me for a drink." The hybrid slid a blood bag across the counter, towards Stefan, who sat up straight and alert. He wasn't able to control himself around human blood, especially if he had a taste of it. Klaus picked his glass filled with blood up as he smirked at Stefan. Adelaide watched with wide eyes as Stefan tore the top of the blood bag off and began to drink the blood. On one hand he looked as if he was enjoying the blood but on the other, he looked like he was trying so hard to not enjoy it and it was painful to watch him suffer.

"Finish it. All of it." Klaus ordered him to, as Stefan had only taken a small sip at first. Stefan didn't go to drink it as he didn't want to lose control, "You do everything I say, and I save your brother. That's the deal." Klaus reminded him, not willing to change the deal at all.

"Klaus, please don't make him do this." Adelaide whispered to the hybrid, as Stefan brought the blood back up to his lips, finishing off the blood bag, squeezing every last drop of it. Klaus smirked in victory almost as he got another blood bag from beside him, sliding it over to Stefan, making him drink another one.

"Stefan, don't do this. There has to be another way." Adelaide begged him, not wanting him to lose control and forget who he was.

"I'm afraid there isn't another way my love. You and Stefan will join me when I leave Mystic Falls and Damon Salvatore will receive the cure or you can stay here with no cure for Damon Salvatore in return." Klaus told the girl, who looked forward, trying to keep her tears at bay.

"You don't have to do this." She shook her head.
"I don't. But I can and so I will." He shrugged. "Now, again." He commanded Stefan who ripped open the blood bag and was quick to drink it all, although he held an angry expression on his face as he glared at Klaus while trying to not enjoy the taste of the human blood, and the power it made him feel. He missed it but at the same time he was fine without having it if it meant he wouldn't hurt people... but this was Damon. He owed it to his brother. And he wouldn't let Adelaide or Elena lose anyone else.

Adelaide watched as Stefan tore through at least a dozen blood bags, her eyes wide with fright as she worried over her friend.

"You're very cooperative. Klaus complimented him. "It's almost as if you're enjoying it." Klaus whispered, tauntingly as Stefan breathed in and out heavily.

"No more." Stefan shook his head, practically begging for Klaus to not make him drink anymore blood. "Not until you give us the cure." Be bargained.
"Not until we make a deal. It's your choice, Stefan, Adelaide. You can either remain here living your life in Mystic Falls, or you can embrace what you truly are, leave town with me," Klaus crouched down in front of Stefan, holding another filled blood bag as if teasing him with the temptation "And save your brother's life." He held it out towards Stefan who couldn't help but take it from him, instantly drinking the blood. "That's the spirit." He cheered him on.

"Sweetheart," Klaus made his way towards Katherine, picking her up from the sofa by her neck. "Take this over to Damon and come right back." Stefan stopped drinking as he heard the words fall from Klaus's mouth. Adelaide stood up instantly, not so sure that Katherine would deliver the cure to Damon.

"You want me to leave?" Katherine asked in a whisper.

"No!" Adelaide and Stefan both yelled as Klaus handed her the glass jar with his and Adelaide's blood in it.

"Yes." Katherine smirked at Stefan and Adelaide as she was out of the apartment before Klaus could even finish what he was saying.

"And if I were you... I'd hurry."

Klaus sat down at the table across the room, smirking at Stefan

"She'll never take it to him." Stefan warned Klaus who just shrugged.

"Oh my god," Adelaide stumbled back as turned around so her back hit the counter, a hand over her mouth as tears slowly fell from her eyes. She looked at the ground as her hands shook. She couldn't believe it. She had lost another person.

"As promised brother, you've been reunited with our family." Stefan and Adelaide stood side by side as they watched Klaus's followers place Elijah's body in a casket, the dagger still placed in his chest. They were in a warehouse filled with wooden storage containers. "Put him with the others." He order them. "We're leaving town tonight." Adelaide crossed her arms over her chest before she received a text from Elena.

"So, did Katerina make it in time?" Klaus asked her as her eyes scanned over the message. Damon was alive. She almost let out a laugh of joy but kept quiet as she was happy with her current situation. But it had saved Damon. And if she had the choice to make the same deal again, she would still have chosen to save Damon and go with Klaus. She had made a deal with the devil.

"You won't be seeing her again, you know." Stefan told Klaus, referring to Katherine as he too had received a text from Elena saying Damon was alive.

"Because she's on vervain?" It was't much of a question. "I've been around a long time, Stefan. I rarely get played for a fool. Besides, she won't get far. You'll help me see to that." Klaus grinned smugly as Stefan took a few careful steps towards him. Adelaide watched with her arms crossed over her chest, a growing headache forming.

"What is it you really want from me? From us?" Stefan gestured towards himself and Adelaide. Klaus took a small glance towards Adelaide before placing his hand on Stefan's shoulder and look him in the eye.

"All will be explained in time. Once we leave this tragic little town." He responded.
"Then are we done here?" Adelaide tilted her head to the side. "Can we go?"

"Not quite. You see, I have a gift for Stefan. And for you love." His dimples on full display as he spoke. "Come here, sweetheart." He then beckoned a human girl forward. "Don't be afraid. See, I wanna make sure you honour our deal... that you'll be of use to me. I could have compelled her to behave. But a real ripper enjoys the hunt." Klaus bit into the girls neck before chucking her aside, letting her make a run for it, blood slowly pouring from the two bite wounds. Stefan couldn't control himself as he was quick to use his enhanced speed to appear in front of the scared girl. He snack his teeth into her neck and drank her blood until she fell limp onto the floor. Adelaide gasped and took a step back as she watched the life slowly drain from the girl. "And for the lovely Adelaide," Klaus walked towards her, lifting her face up gently so his eyes met hers. He beckoned a witch forward and she cautiously took a small step back, wondering what was about to happen.

"Don't be afraid love," he told her.

"Look where it got the human." Adelaide retorted which only made Klaus chuckle. The witch took ahold of Adelaide's wrist tightly, which caused the girl to struggled against her. The witch began to chant a spell, and after a moment Adelaide felt herself being released as she stumbled back, tripping over and landing on the floor. As she was the witch let go of her, memories came flashing back through her vision. Klaus had gotten a witch to take her memories away before because she couldn't be compelled, not even by an original vampire. There was one scene that capture her attention more that the others as she was pulled into it.

"Hi, I'm Adelaide Gilbert."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, love. I'm Niklaus Mikaelson."

She had met Klaus before. She looked up at the hybrid who stared down at her with a knowing smile as he held a hand out for her, to help her up. She grabbed it as she gracefully pulled her up beside him. Klaus looked back up towards Stefan.

"Now we can go."
