ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  "๐ธ๐ฟ๐ธ๐‘๐ด..." Jenna attempted talking to Elena who was muttering to herself with pacing.

"I have to do something. This can't happen. None of it." She breathed in deeply.

"Quite the predicament." Klaus rejoined them, with Stefan following behind him. "You know, it's funny, all this talk about preserving family, and here's Stefan, granting your wish." Klaus teased, winding Elena up.

"Stefan..." Elena's voice was barely a whispered but she held a lot of sadness as she stared at her boyfriend.

"It's okay." Stefan tried to send her an encouraging smile.

"Well. Who's it going to be, Adelaide?" Klaus turned to her, smirking.

"What? No." She rushed out, shaking her head as tears built up in her eyes.

"Very well, Elena?" Klaus turned to Adelaide's sisters who also shook her head.
"Oh, don't worry. There's actually no choice." Klaus was behind Stefan in an instant with a wooden stake, shoving it into Stefan's back. Enough so he was in pain but not enough to kill him. He was weak now though and wouldn't be able to fight back as he fell to the ground, groaning in pain. Elena yelled out his name as she cried.

"I have other plans for your boyfriend." Klaus told Elena, wearing his usual smirk. "I want him alive. But for now..." Klaus snapped Stefan's neck before throwing him aside.

"Whenever you're ready, Greta." He called back to the witch as the three girls watched in horror.

The fire around Jenna then disappeared.
"No,"

"Your turn." Klaus whispered.

"No, Jenna, no!" Adelaide sobbed as Klaus stared at her aunt, ready to kill her, just like he had done with Jules.

"It's okay Adelaide, Elena. I know what I have to do." Jenna told them determined as she sue her new speed to attack the witch, stopping her from chanting. Jenna sunk her teeth into Greta, making the witch lose concentration. Klaus was right behind Jenna though as he twisted her arm, throwing her to the ground.

"Jenna, no."

"Just turn it off. You won't be scared any more." Elena told Jenna, sobbing. Klaus then reached forward with a stake and stabbed Jenna in the heart with it. Adelaide watched as her Aunt slowly died, her skin turning grey and old while the veins became more visible.

Klaus stared at Adelaide for a moment as he watched the tears run down her cheeks from the loss of her aunt before he turned to take Jenna's blood from her body and then gave it to Greta, who began chanting once again.

Adelaide and Elena then noticed that Stefan was beginning to wake up.

"I'm so sorry." He whispered to both the girls, not being able to pick himself up from how weak he had become.

"Shh," Elena held her finger up to her lips. "Are they going to kill him?" She whispered to Stefan.

"Yes."
Adelaide shifted uncomfortably at the news no matter how much she wanted to despise Klaus, she couldn't bring herself to wanting him dead.

Klaus then made his way over to Elena.

"It's time." He announced as the fire surrounding the human doppelgรคnger disappeared. He went to help Elena up but she pushed him away with a glare and made her way over to Greta by herself. Klaus chuckled darkly at her behaviour as he followed her. Elena stared at Jenna's dead body, flinching away as Klaus grabbed ahold of her chin, making her turn to face him as he whispered a thank you.

"Go to hell," she spat back as Klaus sank his teeth into her neck. Stefan watched hopelessly, trying to will his body to move but was stuck. Adelaide watched in horror as her sister dropped to the floor, dead. She knew Elena would come back as a vampire but she also knew that it was something Elena didn't want. Klaus breathed in deeply as he felt the effects starting, all that was needed now was Adelaide's blood. He made his way over to her, Elena's blood surrounding his mouth. Adelaide let out a small whimper at the sight of her fallen sister's body. The fire around her disappeared as Klaus sped up to her, holding her close to him. He stared into her eyes before wiping a tear away from her cheek. He grabbed Adelaide and brought her over to where Jenna and Elena's bodies were. He handed it over to her, a small smirk on his face. She snatched it off him with a glare before slicing a gash on her palm with it, letting her blood flow out of the wound and drop into the bowl, under her held out arm. It didn't hurt if she was being honest. It felt like a small nip when cutting her hand open - which confused her as a wound like this would normally need stitches. But after a few seconds the blood stopped following and she opened her palm to see now more blood coming out. She wiped away the blood already there and saw that her wound had completely healed.

"I can feel it." Klaus growled as he walked forward. "It's happening." His bones then began to break and crack as he groaned. He was then thrown back as the fire around them ignited. Damon appeared behind Greta, snapping her neck as he then moved on to pick Elena's body up.

"You were dead!" Klaus yelled as Bonnie walked forward chanting. The wind whipped around them as Klaus yelled in pain. Adelaide fell to the floor let out a scream as she felt her back break. Damon went and placed Elena beside Elena before he ripped the stake out of Stefan's back. Stefan told Damon to get Elena out of there, while Stefan was bale to heal and get some of his energy back. He rushed over to Adelaide as Elijah appeared in front of Klaus who was laid on the floor. Elijah sank his hand into Klaus' chest.

"In the name of our family, Niklaus..." He began.

"I didn't bury them at sea!" Klaus rushed out between gasps.

"What?"
"Their bodies are safe. If you kill me, you'll never find them." Adelaide felt as if something was tugging at her head making her snuggle to breath and stand, so when her knees finally began to collapse Stefan was quick to catch her.

"Elijah!" Stefan warned, after hearing what Klaus had said. He had noticed the hesitant look on Elijah's face and was worried that the Original would back out. "Don't listen to him."
"Elijah. I can take you to them. I give you my word... brother." Adelaide watched as Elijah debated on whether to believe Klaus or not.

"Do it and I'll take you both out." Bonnie threatened the two Mikaelson brothers, seeing that Elijah was being persuaded by Klaus.

"You'll die." Elijah told her.
"I don't scare." The witch snapped through gritted teeth. Elijah glanced from Bonnie, to Stefan to Klaus and then finally his eyes landed on Adelaide who looked like she had been put through hell.

"I'm sorry." He apologised as he ripped his hand free from Klaus' chest, leaving the newly turned hybrid's heart intact before he picked Klaus up and was gone just as Stefan and Bonnie yelled out angrily. Adelaide felt like she could breath again as Klaus' heart was released.

Elena had woken up a few hours after the sacrifice was over, meaning it was now the morning and bright outside. Stefan had taken Adelaide back to the Boarding House to rest as she looked like she had been through hell, however for some reason she didn't have the slightest scratch on her. She was covered in dirt and her hand was covered in dry blood but there was no wound at all on her hand, not even a scar. Damon was the one to go back to the Boarding House after Elena had woken up to tell Adelaide about John. Adelaide admired her uncle, well apparently father, for what he did for Elena. He made Bonnie cast a spell which meant that if Elena were to live, she wouldn't become a vampire if John gave up his own life. So John dying meant Elena would come back alive as a human, just as she had wanted. Adelaide was thrilled Elena had survived and not become a vampire, although it wouldn't have been the worst scenario, but the deaths needed for the whole ritual, out weighed that for sure. John and Jenna were both dead. And it was all because of Klaus. And even though Adelaide so badly wanted to rip his guts out, there was something stopping her from hunting him down and killing him. Maybe it was the fact that she thought in her mind she would have no chance against a hybrid, or maybe it was the fact that she knew she and Klaus had some sort of connection. A supernatural one at that. That's twice now that she hasn't been able to breath because Klaus wasn't. So she pieced it together and thought of only one possible outcome, she and Klaus were connected.

Adelaide had avoided both Elena and Jeremy and only spoke few words to Damon ever since the deaths of her two family members. She only had Elena and Jeremy left. They had all lost too many people it such a short period of time. She tugged at the black dress which stuck to her skin. It was a tight pencil like dress and hung to her curves perfectly. She wore black heels and kept her hair down, running her straighteners through it but kept the bottom parts slightly wavy. She kept her makeup simple, not wanting to go all out and not really caring at this point she had some small golden hoop earrings threaded through the holes in either one of her ears and she wore her charm bracelet she had gotten as a gift when she was younger. She hadn't been able to wear it when she was younger as it never fit, but it did not. Well, it didn't fall off her wrist when she put her hand down. She glanced at the photos at the side of her mirror, looking at the one of her and Jenna laughing. She only had one of herself and John. It was taken a few years ago, when she had thought he was just her Uncle. Still, him being her father - it didn't sit right with her. Not like when she found out Isobel was her mother. She resembled Isobel, but she didn't look like John in the slightest, not like Elena did with a few of her facial features which you instantly noticed when someone pointed them out. And her personality was completely different to John's. She ran her hands down the dress, fidgeting nervously while taking deep and steady breaths.

"You okay?" She turned around to see Damon leaning against her door frame, watching her with his arms crossed. She nodded slightly, her throat tightening making her unable to form any words.

"Are you lying?" He asked her. She licked her lips before nodding softly. Damon let out a small sigh, walking over to her as he wrapped his arms around her. She was tiny compared to Damon. He rested his head on top of hers as she laid her's on his chest, a few tears falling from her eyes.

"Why Jenna? He told us if we complied then he wouldn't hurt our family or friends. And if it wasn't Jenna it was Caroline and Tyler." She whispered, confused by Klaus' actions.

"He's a sick bastard, that's why." Damon attempted to cheer her up, but she only managed a small chuckle as she looked up at him.

"Got that right." She lied, half agreeing with him and unfortunately half disagreeing with his statement. "He's hot though." She shrugged, leaning her head back on his chest.

"You're not serious?" Damon groaned.

"What? Come on, you've got to admit he's hot. As is his accent." Adelaide chuckled slightly, giggling at Damon's scrunched up face.
"I'm way hotter." Damon replied, pulling away put keeping her at arm's distance.

"If you say so," she giggled. Damon always managed to cheer her up, no matter the situation. He was practically a big brother to her. He was her best friend. And she would do anything to make sure he never got hurt again. Physically and mentally. But she wasn't so sure it was going to be easy. Not with the drama the supernatural seemed to bring to the Gilberts.

"Please don't ever leave me Damon. I can't lose anyone else." She begged the vampire, looking back up at him. She noticed that he wasn't able to meet her eyes. He looked like her was having an inner argument with himself.

"I promise." He finally said. She smiled and hugged him before pulling away completely.

"Thank you. For being here for me."

"Anything for you Little Bird." He offered her his hand. "Come on."

They had kept the funeral invites to a low number. Caroline, Bonnie, Tyler and Matt were all there, all dressed in back dresses and suits. Elena, Jeremy and Adelaide stood with Alaric closest to the new grave stones which had been added to the Gilbert plot while Stefan and Damon stood to the side, a little in front of their friends but behind the three siblings and Alaric. Everyone wore solemn faces as Elena and Adelaide both each placed a beautiful rose in front on Jenna and John's gravestones, before they got up to place one down for their adoptive mother and father. Adelaide couldn't help but begin to sob as she placed a rose in front of her mothers name while Elena placed one down in front of their fathers. She brought Elena in for a hug as the two stayed with each other, silently crying over the deaths of their four family members. Even if they weren't related by blood to some, they were still family. Elena glanced up to look at Damon as she and Adelaide helped each other stand up, using each other for support. Alaric went and placed an extra rose down for Jenna before going back to stand with Jeremy.

"It's going to be okay. We'll be okay." Adelaide whispered to Elena as she leaned her head on her sisters shoulder, arms wrapped around each other. She was not only trying to persuade her sister but persuade herself with what she said. She wasn't sure if it was going to be okay, but she knew as long as she had these people here with her today, she was going to get through it. They would help each other get through it. She let go of Elena to go and hug Jeremy, kissing his head softly as he shed is own tears which leaked onto her shoulder, but she didn't mind.

"We're going to head back to the house." Stefan told Damon as he walked up to his older brother. Damon had wondered off, looking into the distance as he thought over the promise he had made to Adelaide - regretting doing so as soon as the words slipped from his mouth.

"I think I'll skip the coffee and tea cakes." Damon didn't turn around to look at his brother as he fiddled with the daylight ring on his finger.

"Damon, they both need us right now." Stefan told his brother, not understanding why he was skipping. "All of us."

"And then what's the plan, Stefan? The curse is broken. How does one go about killing an all-powerful wolf vamp and his two-faced older brother?" Damon muttered.

"I have no idea." Stefan breathed in deeply, despite the fact that he didn't need to.

"You need to get an idea. Fast." Damon finally turned around to face Stefan..

"I'm not going to let Elena, or Adelaide, lose anybody else." Stefan told Damon with determination filling his voice.

"I wouldn't make any promises, brother. I've already made a promise I instantly regretted." Damon scoffed.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Stefan looked at his older brother, curious as to what he meant.

"Tyler Lockwood bit me. It's actually more of a nip, really, but there it is." Damon rolled up the sleeve to his black suit blazer, to show Stefan the effect the werewolf bite was having on him. It had grown further up his arm since he had been bitten and it was getting worse a lot quicker. "And I promised Adelaide that she wouldn't lose me." Damon added as Stefan inspected the bite wound, until Damon ripped his arm from his younger brother's grasp to cover it back up.

"We'll find something." He told Damon, worried he might lose his only family left. "A cure."

"There is no cure, Stefan." Damon informed him before glancing towards Elena and Adelaide, focusing on the girl he considered his little sister and best friend.

"We kept Elena human, right? We found the way when there was no way." Stefan whispered. "Hey," he brought Damon's attention back to him, "I will do this." Stefan seemed so sure of himself that he would be able to find a cure.

"You want to do something for me? Keep this from Elena, and especially Adelaide. Last thing they need is another grave to mourn." Damon patted Stefan's shoulder before walking away in the opposite direction, walking through the rows of grave stones.

It should seriously be illegal to make someone cry this much from a TV show.ย

The last part to this episode just has me sobbing every single time. Jenna and John's death were two of the most upsetting deaths in my opinion, and the song SKINNY LOVE, just makes it all the more upsetting.ย

Can I just say, that Iย absolutelyย love writing scenes with Adelaide and Damon together. They're like the cutest best friends ever ๐Ÿ˜‚.
