"I'm not leaving you.. " He said to himself.

As Shadow watched you leave he thought to himself, "Now is the time to tell her.. "

•With you•

You sat there inside of the gazebo with your head in your knees, and weeping softly. Now that Sonic and Shadow had all of the chaos emeralds then would be able to leave back to where they actually belong. But when they leave and go back, your gonna be all alone again. Being alone for you was like having no one say a word to you, quiet everyday of your life, and just basically death altogether.

You felt lonely even though they were still here. You couldn't take this anymore. The loneliness, the pain, no love, and no family. You just wanted to end it all. But the question is, why haven't you done it? Was something holding you back? We're you to afraid to do it? Whatever is was it doesn't matter anymore.

Finally making your decision, you stood up and wiped the remaining tears from your face. Still sobbing and trying to breath from you previous break down, you take out a blade carry with you. You held it up to your face and inhaled. What was about to happen next there was no going back from.

"There's no going back now... " You muttered to yourself while a couple more tears streamed down your cheeks.

As you held the sharp blade up to your neck, you began to sob more. Putting the blade fully on your neck made you shiver a bit. As you started to move the blade slowly to the right, red liquid started to slowly leak out of your neck. But as you were about to cut deeper, a dark figure jumped on top of you and held you down.

You looked up at the figure and just stared into there eyes.

Crimson eyes.

That's when it hit you. This wasn't any ordinary person that tackles you. No. Only one person or as you know him hedgehog had eyes this color.

Shadow the hedgehog.

You thrashed around under his grip and your eyes started to water again.

"Shadow get the hell off of me!!" You screamed at him still continuing to thrash around.

Shadow didn't say a word, and kept his gaze on you.

"Shadow! Get off of me now!" You screamed at him once more.

But after you finished that sentence, you felt the lack of air in your lungs. You felt like you were running out of air. Like you were drowning, no..

Choking.

Shadow noticed your movements and noticed your neck that was down leaking a dark red liquid. Shadow started to freak out a bit,  he held you close to him as he started to shake a bit.

"(Y/N)..What have you done to yourself..? " Shadow asked as he held you a bit tighter.

But as this was happening to you, Shadow had noticed another thing. He has never felt emotions towards someone like this. The only person he could think of was Maria. But at this moment that didn't matter.

"Come on I need you here.. (Y/N) please don't leave me here. It's not the same here without you. " Shadow buried his head into the crook of your neck.

"(Y/N).... I... I love you.. I never said anything because I'd look weak in front of the girl I love... But without you here I'm more broken than ever.. Please don't leave me. " Shadow said with his heart pounding out of his chest.

With barely any air left you kept your pace in breathing.

"H-Hey... " You said trying to talk.

Shadow looked up at you and just clutched you tighter.

"Please promise me something.. " You said already knowing that you are not going to make it through this.

Shadow looked at you with worried eyes and nodded his head.

"Move on from me and find someone else who will make you happy.. Okay?" You said putting a hand on his cheek.

He grabbed your hand and held it tightly.

"I love you Shadow the hedgehog.. " You said as tears started to stream down your cheeks.

Shadow couldn't hold himself back, and pushed himself on you and kissed you.

The kiss was passionate and deep. Both of you wanted this for the longest time and now you finally got it. But as the kiss deepened, you started to pull away.

Shadow looked at you with widen eyes and started to break down.

"(Y/N)...? (Y/N)!" Shadow screamed.

You laid there, lifeless in Shadows arms not breathing, not moving, and skin changing colors.

"Shadow..? " A voice said from behind Shadow.

"She's gone... I came to late.." Shadow said as he turned away from Sonic and focused back on your pale body.

"I'm sorry Shadow... " Sonic said as he picked some near by flowers and laid them down by you.

"Come on let's go... " Sonic said as he walked away.

Shadow didn't wanna let go of your body. He felt like he had failed you. But he had to go.

"Goodbye (Y/N)..... I love you... " Shadow sighed as he kissed your forehead.

And with that Shadow let go of your body and him and Sonic left.

Once they got back he acted very different. More different than usual.

One day he's here.

The next week he's not working or around his friends.

Three weeks later he's no where to be found.
