"Don't worry about it Sonic.. But what's up with Shadow..? " You asked looking at him.

Sonic looked at you and just chuckled, trying to hide his nervous expression.

"Oh him? Don't worry about it he's always like that." Sonic said trying to play it off with ease.

"Sonic, Shadow may be a very edgy and rude, but he never acts like that. Now please tell me is there something bothering Shadow?" You asked trying to persuade him.

"(Y/N), I'm telling you there is nothing wrong with him. Now please just drop it. " Sonic growled.

"Come on Sonic, can't you just tell me..? " You asked once more.

"(Y/N) I told you there is nothing wrong with him! Now stop asking!" Sonic yelled.

Seeing Sonic blow up like that, reminded you of how your mother treated you. You started to quiver in fear and looked at Sonic with fear in your eyes. Sonic stared at you and realized what he had done.

"Hey (Y/N).. I'm sorry I didn't mean to blow up on you like that.." Sonic apologized while walking closer to you.

You quickly jumped back and ran in a different direction Sonic was going.

"(Y/N)...Please I'm sorry.." Sonic said, trying to reason with you.

All you could do was shake in fear and resist the urge to run to your room. But as you kept backing away from Sonic you became more and more afraid. Seeing Sonic get closer to you, reminded you of how your mother would abuse you as a child.

"(Y/N)..?" Sonic's voice snapped you out of your thoughts and brought you back into reality.

Sonic was now in front of you and trying to get your attention. For some strange reason this made you feel uncomfortable.

"P-please just leave me alone Sonic... " You choked on your words.

Before Sonic could even respond, someone ran up and pushed him away.

Shadow.

Shadow stood in front of you looking at the blue hedgehog on the floor in front of him.

"Leave her be Sonic... " Shadow said while pointing his index finger at him.

Sonic just stood up and nodded his head, before walking away. You sat there with your head hanged low and shaking like you had just gotten out of a frozen lake.

Shadow looked at you and hugged you. Shadow hated to admit it but, he had gotten use to showing his softer side around you. And he didn't mind it at all. He loved being able to show his softer side around you.

It felt amazing.

But even though his jealousy was getting the best of him at times, he kept his cool not wanting to embarrass himself.

Shadow kept his grip on you, tightening it little by little. You took notice of this and immediately blushed at his movement on you.

What felt like 2 hours but in reality was actually 5 minutes, Shadow finally let go of you and held your shoulders. As he did this you couldn't help but blush at his sudden actions. At last you both locked eyes with each other and blushed at every second of it.

"Please don't be afraid of either of us.. " Shadow said softly.

All you could do was stare blankly at Shadow and wonder what was going on with him.

"Shadow can I ask you something......?" You said with your head hanged low.

Shadow didn't say anything, all that came from him was a 'Hm'.

"Is there something bothering you..? Because when you saw me and Sonic, you looked like you were mad... " You asked still avoiding Shadows gaze.

He sighed and just looked away.

"I was just...... Jealous.. I guess.." Shadow said as he looked away from your gaze, and his muzzle changing to a slight color pink.
