I stand and watch as Soyer washes and puts up the last dish, Soyer turns around to look at me as he wipes his hands off with a towel, his sleeves rolled up his forearms. "Anything you want to do?" he asks trowing the towels on the counter.

"No, not really" I mumble, After a few moments of silence I let out a small sneeze.

Soyer chuckles "You aren't getting sick  are you?" he asks.

"I hope not" I say looking up at him.

He walked over towards me and presses one of his big hands to my forehead. "You were walking out in the cold earlier" He mumbled but I can hear him because of how close he is.

"I'll be right back" He says and then exits out of the Kitchen and enters a door to the right.

While he's doing whatever, I take a few seconds to look at the Kitchen and living room.

When I walk into the living I plop down on the couch as I look around curiously. What catches my eyes is a desk in the corner of the room, It has a paper sticking out.

I quietly get up from the couch and walk over towards the desk, Opening it and getting the paper. My eyes scan over it briefly, only to find that it's not in English.

"Delaney?" I hear Soyer say making me jump and shove the paper into my pocket. I turn around and look at him.

"Y-yes?!" I say louder than I would have liked too.

I noticed that Soyer was holding a blanket, And i look between him and the blanket in confusion.

"Since you're running a fever I got you a warm blanket" He says walking over to where I am. "You can sit on the couch over there, I'll make you some warm tea" He says scanning over me and then glancing at his desk.

My heart beats faster at the thought of him catching me snooping through his stuff.

I walk over too the couch and take a seat, After I do Soyer wraps the blanket around me. "I'll go get the tea" He says exiting the living room and entering the kitchen.

I shift my hands nervously under the blanket. I don't want Soyer to get angry at me.

While I was deep in thought Soyer come back to the living room and sits beside me. "Here" He says handing me the warm cup.

I pop my hands out of the blanket and take the cup. "Thank you" I say quietly as I stare down at the cup, biting my lip anxiously.

"Something wrong?" He says grabbing the remote to the T.V.

      "Ah, n-no"

"Okay then.." He responds turning on the T.V. to a random show.

I look at him awkwardly. "I don't think I'm sick.. I feel fine, Maybe it was just a random sneeze" I say leaning my head back on the couch.

"Well, just in case, I'll take care of you" He says. Feeling guilty again, I look away. I shouldn't have snooped through his stuff.

"Delaney, Do you have something you want to tell me?" I hear him say, His voice sounding deeper than before.

"Uhm.." My voice comes out in choked way. I feel the tears start to form in my eyes, I reach into my pocket and get out the paper, holding it tightly in my hands. "Sorry" I whisper out as a tear falls onto the paper. "I shouldn't have taken it".

After a long while of silence he finally speaks."yeah, You shouldn't have" He says and I look at him in suprise because he doesn't sound angry. "I knew you took the paper, I didn't say anything because I wanted you too admit it yourself" He says looking at me. His hand comes up to ruffle my hair.

He gently takes the paper from my hand. "Luckily it's in a different language" He chuckles. I bite my bottom lip as tears continue to roll down my face.

"Hey, as long as you know what you did was wrong." He says looking down at me. "This is your last warning though, Next time I'll have to punish you" He says standing up. He puts the paper back into his desk and looks at me.

"I'm not angry, I know you didn't mean any harm" He says walking back over to the couch. he stops right in front of me, crouching down and holding my hands. "Theres no need to cry" His hand reaches up to wipe a tear away, afterwards he puts a strand of hair behind my ear and reaches up so his face is closer to mine.

I feel my face heat up into a blush, only for him to go straight for my forehead and gives a soft kiss too it. Embarrassment instantly makes my face red, I thought he was going to kiss me on the lips!

The way his lips tilt upwards into a smirk tells you that he knows what he was doing. I bite my lip nervously, and I notice how his eyes glance at my lips when I do so.

He clears his throat and stands up quickly. "You can sleep in my room, I'll sleep on the couch" he says changing the subject.

"Why don't I have to sleep on the couch?.. I'd feel bad if I take your bed" I say in defense.

"Well, I'd feel bad if I let you, My guest, sleep on the couch" He argued back.

I think to myself before coming up with an idea. "Let's both sleep on the bed" I say in as a suggestion. He instantly looks at me as if to say 'you've gotta be joking'.

"No" he says clear as day.

My eyebrows furrow together "Why not?" I ask crossing my arms.

"Because.." He starts, struggling to find words. "Because I said so" He says with a stern look.

I roll my eyes. "Jeez, Are you my dad or something?" I mumble.

He sighs and looks away. "Just sleep in the bed Delaney" He says ending the conversation. I drop my arms in defeat. I look at him with a upset look on my face.

"Don't look so sad, it'll make me feel bad" He says, with I think is an attempted pout. I instantly laugh, and he smiles.

Silence goes across the room and I look around awkwardly. I look at the bookshelf in the corner of the room. "Do you like to read?" I ask looking at the bookshelf.

"Occasionally, I use to read a lot when I was a kid. It helped me escape to a world that wasn't my own" He says sounding a bit hurt. I stand up and walk over to the bookshelf. Up close I can see that most of them are fantasy books. I let out a small laugh reaching towards one of the books.

"I didn't take you for a nerd" I joke looking at the book. Who would have thought someone like him would like reading. I turn and look at him once more. His white button up shirt is slightly tucked into his pants, The sleeves are still rolled up his forearms, the top 3 buttons aren't done. From his exposed collarbone you can see the beginning of what looks like a scar. I hadn't noticed until now, but he has a lot of scars. On his arms, His chest, One of his chin. And if I'm correct, you can see a scar on his eyebrow when his hair isn't in the way.

I look away and down at myself. It almost reminds me of my scars. From all those years ago. But somehow I'm almost sure, I don't want to know how he got those scars.

"Something wrong?" He asks taking a step forward.

"No, I just didn't take you for a reader is all" I say turning fully around with the book in my hand. He looks between me and the book with one eyebrow raised. "Read it to me" I say with a grin on my face.

He hesitantly reaches for the book and takes it from my hands. "Are you sure? I don't have a lot of experience reading to people" He says.

"I'm sure" I say walking back over to the couch, sitting down after I turn the T.V. off. I turn to look at Soyer as he runs his hand through his hair and begins walking over with a sigh.

He sits down the couch next to me and opens the book to the first page. He gives me time to get comfortable, covering up with the blanket from earlier. I hesitantly lean my head on his shoulder as he begins reading. I listen as his deep voice reads the words off the page. before long my eyes close and I'm no longer focusing on the storyline. I'm focusing on the warmth of his body and his soothing voice.

It doesn't take long before I yawn and begin to get sleepy. I feel his arm wrap around me and then we're both asleep, on the couch.
