*DOUBLE UPDATE*

THIRTY-SIX
LILAH

"Lilah?"

"Lilah?"

I clench my eyes shut tighter.

"Lilah?"

I feel myself being shaken so I slowly open my eyes to see Vincent standing over me with a concerned look etched onto his face. My heart sinks — I could of sworn I heard Ollie's voice.

One minute I'm outside and the next —

I sit up abruptly.

"Hey, calm down, girl. You frightened the shit out of us." Vincent whispers, putting a hand on my shoulder. "At first I thought you were being hurt, I was about to knock that man out when I saw you on the floor and him standing over you."

"Man?" I furrow my eyebrows, my mind a haze.

"Lilah, look." He points to something so I follow the direction in which his finger is pointing.

My heart stops.

Am I dreaming?

Maybe I banged my head when I fell.

I slowly stand up with the help of Vincent by my side. I take slow steps until the familiar aftershave invades my senses, my eyes begin to water and a shaky breath escapes my mouth.

"Ollie?" I whimper, reaching up with a shaky hand to stroke his cheek. "Ollie." I begin to fall apart in his arms and he doesn't hesitate to wrap his arms around me tightly.

"Lilah, baby." He rasps, burying his face in the crook of my neck. "Fuck, I'm sorry." He whispers and I can feel his tears on the skin of my neck.

My arms only tighten around him and it's in this moment that I feel a huge relief lift from my shoulders.

"I-I thought you were dead, Nas made it out like you were dead!" I cry harder and clench my eyes shut when I feel him begin to rub my back gently. "Please don't leave me!"

"I'm here, baby. I'm sorry for scaring you, you're so strong, such a strong woman." He says in my ear, placing a light kiss on my cheek as I continue to cry.

After a couple minutes I pull back and look up at his tear-stained face. My eyes then fall to the white cast around his wrist which has already been signed by Greyson, but I look back at his face and my eyes widen at the scar that is under his eye.

"Gonna tell people I got into some crazy street fight. Sounds a lot cooler than saying I fell through a collapsed floor." Ollie jokes and I lightly hit him round the head. "Too soon?" He chuckles and I raise my eyebrows.

"I can't believe you're standing in front of me right now. Do you know how close I was to having a mental breakdown? Where is Nasir? I've got a few things to say to that old man!" I place my hands on my hips with a scowl on my face, looking around for him.

When I don't get a response, I look back to Ollie who's eyes are on my large pregnant belly. He reaches forward with shaky hands and butterflies erupt in my body at the feeling of his warm hands on me.

A giggle leaves my mouth when our girl kicks my stomach where Ollie has placed his hand.

Wait.

Does he even know we're having a daughter?

I go to tell him but I'm stopped when a sob escapes his mouth and he drops to his knees. I bite my lip as he rests his forehead against my stomach and keeps his arms wrapped around the back of my legs.

I hold back my own tears and run my hands gently through his curls.

"It's okay." My voice cracks as my emotions begin to build, however, Ollie shakes his head at my words and I furrow my eyebrows.

"I've missed the majority of your pregnancy because of them, Lilah, none of this is okay." He mumbles and I place my finger under his chin and tilt his head up.

"Trust me, Ollie, everything is okay. You're alive and that makes me incredibly happy because if I'm being honest I don't think I would of been strong enough to do all this without you." I admit to him and watch as he stands up and looks down at me with watery eyes. "Why did you want to die alone? If it had happened. why didn't you want me there?"

"If I had to watch you die, Lilah, that would of been the end of me. If I had to watch you exhale your last breath and never see those beautiful brown eyes of yours, I would of wanted to follow after you," he takes a deep breath before continuing. "I didn't want you to feel like that, it would of been worse for you. I didn't want our children to lose their mother. I know you're angry with Nasir but it was me who made him not tell you about my condition, I put him in a tricky situation and I upset you and I'm sorry."

Ollie cups my face and my eyes flutter shut.

"I never want to spend a second of my life without you. I'm grateful to still be alive and I promise, Lilah, I will do whatever it takes to make sure our little family is okay." I nod my head and sniffle.

I can't help but smile when his lips gently brush against my forehead.

"We're having a little girl." I whisper and I feel him smile against my skin.

"I can't wait to meet her." He grins and I smile brightly.

"I love you, Lilah."

"I love you, Ollie baby."

"Please tell me our son hasn't inherited my blindness." Ollie chuckles as we watch Greyson  ramble on about God knows what to Vincent who is helping him colour in. I smile lightly when I watch him push the glasses further up the bridge of his nose with his finger — just like his father does.

"He has." I tease, bumping my hip with Ollie's. "He loves them though." Ollie nods his head and stares at our son with so much pride on his face.

I'm still in disbelief.

Not even six hours ago I thought he was never coming back to me but he's here. Ollie is here with me, alive and healthy.

"Lilah." I blink and look back at him to see him staring at the gold chain that he gave me which is laying comfortably around my neck. "Looks perfect on you." He compliments and I feel my face heat at the loving look on his handsome face.

"How do you manage to still look so good even after coming out of a coma that you were in for months?" I question in envy and he playfully rolls his eyes.

"Well I still need to make sure you stay falling in love with me." He smirks and I smile.

"I'm always going to love you, you idiot. Even when you're old and wrinkly." I wink and he lightly pinches my hip and throws me a playfully glare.

"We can be a little family now." He whispers, wrapping his arm around me as we stare out at the sunset in front of us. "My children and my wife."

Wife.

"Wife?" I look at him and catch him staring at my hand.

I then look down and my eyes widen when I see the huge diamond rock on my ring finger.

Ollie grins.

"For real this time."

"For real." I nod.
