Alessandro's POV

"How many times do I have to correct this document?!" I snapped, frustrated.

"I am sorry, sir. I will..." My assistant said apologetically.

I frowned, annoyed. I closed my eyes, trying to calm down and ran my hand through my hair. I opened my eyes and looked at my assistant who was staring at me in fear.

"You..." Suddenly, someone knocked on the door, interrupting me. The door opened and my father walked in.

"The meeting is about to start." He informed and traveled his gaze from me to my assistant who most probably was praying to my father with her inner voice because he interrupted us.

I nodded, sighing and grabbed my file as I threw the paperwork onto the desk.

"I want to see it on my desk when I come back from the meeting." I stated with an authoritarian tone, looking into her eyes.

"Yes, sir." She said as she took the paperwork.

As the meeting ended, I grabbed my file and stood up.

"Wait. We need to talk." My father said firmly. I nodded and sat down as I placed my file on the conference table.

As everyone left the conference room, my father cleared his throat.

"Alessandro, you should calm down." My father stated, giving me a worried look. He breathed deeply and continued. "I know it isn't an easy thing which I asked you to do, but you have to calm down. You should not take your anger out on our employees. You have become like a powder keg since you agreed. It will not help us if you keep in this way. We have to be cool-headed and act carefully." He added firmly.

I nodded, sighing. "You are right, Dad....But...." I shrugged my shoulders without finishing my sentence. He gave me a compassionate look. I entwined my hands as I asked. "Did you convince my mother that she didn't prepare a big party?"

"Yes. In the end, Silvia finally accepted, but she got sad that she could not do what she wished." My father replied.

"Good. You know I don't want this news spread. I want it to be private." I reminded.

"I know you don't want it to be public, but I don't understand why you want to keep it private this much. It doesn't matter if our friends find out about it. When we end our plan, you will get rid of it if everyone knows about it or not. You haven't even let your mother tell her best friend, Marta. Your mother is angry at you about it too. And she is right. Marta and Antonio are our family friends. They like a family for us. And Isabella. You know we like their daughter like our own daughter."

I ran my hand through my hair, looking away. As much as I knew it was just fake, but I felt guilty by doing it. I hope Isabella would understand me when I told her about it. But I hoped I got rid of it before Isabella came to Italy.

"Silvia complained that because of you, she should hide her happiness from her best friend." My father informed.

"Dad, we talked about it. I don't want everyone to find out about it. I know it is fake for you and me, but everyone will think it is real." I explained, desperate. "And I told you we should tell my mother about our plan. She will be upset when she finds out it is fake." I added.

"You know your mother very well, Alessandro. If your mother found out about it, she would get worried and be against our plan. And we haven't found who leaks information from our company as well as our house. So it is best if it will stay between us." My father declared. I sighed, depressed without saying anything.

I looked at my wristwatch and sighed. I didn't want to go home. My mother called me a few minutes ago and asked me where I was and informed me that they were waiting for me in the mansion. I lied to her that I had some urgent paperwork to examine and I would be late. Suddenly, someone knocked on the door, interrupting my thoughts.

"Come in." I snapped as I put my hand into my pocket.

The door opened and my assistant walked in, holding a newspaper in her hand.

"Sir, I think you should see it." She mumbled nervously.

"What happened?" I asked as I approached her and grabbed the newspaper.

"Umm...there is some news about you, sir." She replied and bit her lower lip.

My eyes widened in shock as I saw the article.

"Fuck!" I exclaimed in frustration. I gritted my teeth as I crumbled the newspaper.

"I will leave you alone." My assistant mumbled and walked out in quick steps without waiting for my answer as she saw me getting angry.

"Damn bastard!" I cursed between my teeth as I grabbed my phone and called my father.

"Dad, did you see the news? That bastard announced it to all around the world. I fucking told him that I wanted to keep it private. But he ran to the press right away and told them about it even before the party." I snapped in frustration and ran my hand through my hair angrily.

"Yes, I saw it. I called him and asked him why he informed the press." My father sighed. "He told me he wanted to share his happiness." My father said sarcastically. He paused and took a deep breath. "I am sorry, Alessandro. But don't worry it doesn't matter. As soon as we can get the proof, we will end this game." My father added. I hung up without saying anything.

Damn it! Damn it!

I should have told Isabella about the plan before. But I didn't think it would take this long. I thought I would tell her after I had gotten rid of it. It would be easier for her than knowing it during the plan.

I had to talk to Isabella and explain it. She would get mad as soon as she saw the article. I sighed, devastated and called her, but her phone was turned off.

Fuck!

Probably she saw the news, and she is mad at me.

I sighed and called her bodyguard, but his phone was turned off as well.

Shit!

Maybe, Isabella felt bad when she saw the news. No! No! No! If something happened to Isabella and our baby, I would kill that bastard with my bare hands.
